“My husband and I decided to check out Machete for our anniversary! We had such an awesome experience! We were seated quickly with our reservation. Our server, Cameron, was AWESOME! We had noted my alpha-gal allergy on the reservation and Cameron came prepared with a hand written list of mammal-free options from the menu! My allergy makes eating out a challenge and I’ve had other restaurants treat me like questions/accommodations were a burden, so the fact that she did that for me meant SO much! All of our food was delicious, but the duck wings were phenomenal! We will definitely be back!“

“We had dinner here to celebrate my birthday. It was our first visit! We had a most pleasurable dining experience. The food was exceptional and our server, Jay, was exceptional! He was pleasant, engaged in polite conversation, and most of all he didn't hover. He gave us just the right amount of attention. The complimentary ice cream sundae served with a burning candle and a happy birthday decoration was a surprise and a nice touch. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening and we look forward to many return visits!Kudos to everyone!“

“Great service! It was hard to narrow down what to order for dinner. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. The fried cauliflower and assorted cheese plate were both tasty choices for appetizers. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Highly recommended location for a date night or large party. They were reasonably busy for a late Friday evening with several large parties on the floor but our food was timed perfectly. We were in and out in an hour. We need to check out their brunch soon!“

We drive over an hour to come back and hang with the staff. They make you feel special from the moment you walk in the door!“

“My husband and I visited the Battleground location on Wed March 20 for a weekday casual dinner. The service was great and the food was excellent. The food was seasoned and extremely fresh. We had the chicken skewer platter with all salad and a cheesesteak w/fries. Everyone working that day was very attentive to service and in keeping the dining room clean. An added thing for me is the restroom was also very clean. I would highly recommend this place for a visit, you won't be disappointed.“

“I have lived in High Point for six years and never been to this place. I always see it when we are in downtown Greensboro and it is always full. Definitely make a reservation as they don't always take walk-ins. The night we went they were only accepting reservations. The service was excellent! The interior was elegant and charming. Everything on the menu seem to be reasonably priced. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was absolutely delectable. It came with toasted sourdough and a spring mix of fresh veggies. my husband and I decided to share the steak for two (Chateaubriand). This was a 20 ounce fillet tenderloin that was served with two sides and two sauces of your choosing. We opted for the creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, cabernet mushroom sauce, and butter sauce. I highly recommend the creamed spinach as it was my favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare as ordered. I cannot say enough about the creamed spinach. It was delightful and left me wanting more. We then finished up dinner with the spicy/espresso beignets. These were french beignets topped with cinnamon and dusted with espresso served with a spicy chocolate on the side. At first, it sounded odd, but the flavors blended so perfectly. What a great dessert that paired well with a decaf coffee. This is a great place for a steak and well priced. I will definitely be returning. My only recommendation/feedback for the restaurant would be to use real cherries for their old-fashioned instead of maraschino cherries. This not only elevates the drink, but it brings out the flavor of the Woodford as their house bourbon.“

“I absolutely enjoyed my experience at White and Wood last night! It was my first time dining there. The food and service were impeccable. I shared appetizers with my friends that were simply amazing. I had the Chilean Sea Bass, and it was phenomenal! For dessert, I had the Black Forest Cake, which was excellent. I can’t wait to return. Thank you, Chef, for the chocolate!“

“The gem is tucked away in the shopping center off Battleground with Trader Joe's and Gold's Gym. My hubby and I had just completed a workout, so what better thing to do then get some food immediately after. Hey, we earned it. I hadn't been here before, but my husband spoke highly of it. I like sandwiches so was game. There was a good amount of people in line on a Saturday so a good sign. It's a simple restaurant. You order at the corner. Most get their subs to go, like we did, but they do have some tables if you wanna eat there. First thing I noticed was they had a lot of options. Truly a sub for any preference. They had the classics like Reuben, Meatball, and cold cuts as well as more unique offering like Buffalo Chicken Ranch and Gyro. You could come here often and try something new each time. I went classic for my first visit and got an Italian footlong on wheat. You can get a 6" or 12". I noticed that my 12" was actually going to be two 6" sandwiches. While this surprised me at first, I kind of liked it. It probably helped to motivate me to stop eating after I consumed the first one and save the other for the next day. The Italian was available cold or toasted and I could add any available toppings and sauces I wanted. They have all the standard options but some fancy extras like roasted red peppers. I got those as well as provolone, lettuce, onion, and oil and vinegar. Our subs were quickly assembled, wrapped up, and given to us to enjoy at home. The staff were efficiently and friendly. There is nothing fancy about these subs and the photos may not be the most exciting, but it was a tasty sandwich. The various meats on my Italian were good and the veggies fresh. They did not skimp on any ingredients and as I said a 6" was enough to fill me up. The other 6" also heated nicely to be enjoyed the next day. My husband got the Chicken Philly. I took a few bites and it was also good. I can see why the Sub Spot is a popular place and if you just wan't a good simple sub, it's a solid option.“

“We came to Rascals for brunch, and I was a bit surprised at how busy they were, so definitely recommend reservations if possible. Upon being seated, we learned that that there were some items no longer available, due to the supply, for example the avocado toast. While disappointed, it was good to see that they tried to avoid food waste and buy fresh ingredients and serve what is available. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially given the portions provided. We placed our order, and I have to say the thing that stood out was the service. Given how crowded and busy it was, there were essentially two primary servers that I could tell, and they were very responsive. Given the size of the restaurant, it's probably reasonably staffed, but still there was definitely a large party of 6 in one table, so even though the restaurant is modest in tables, it was crowded. Regarding the food, I thought it was good, for the price, but nothing special. I got the eggs and biscuit which was good, but fairly basic. I found the biscuit slightly sweet, in contrast to the cheesy eggs. The bacon though was perfection! It's a basic brunch, and a solid place to come for casual brunch.“

“First impressions, it's located kind of in a larger parking lot with allot of other stores immediately by. So it's a bit intimidating. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and she explained how exactly we order and gave us some great info on the quality of ingredients they use. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my life (they're my favorite food) and this place is a hole in the rock. Top 3 burgers of my life.Overall, fantastic environment. The best kind of staff you could ask for.Amazing ingredients.Down right one of the best burgers I've ever put in my mouth hole!DO NOT PASS IT UP.“

“Went for lunch so take that with a grain of salt. We ordered tossed tenders/sweet potato fries and the French dip/side salad. Fries were hot and good. Daughter said the tenders were great. The side salad was green leafy and not just iceberg and the ranch was homemade so I enjoyed the salad. French dip is my go to at many places. This one was a tad salty, but still enjoyable. Service was good and friendly.“

“Finally had the chance to stop in for dinner. Very busy for a Monday night but we got sat faster than I thought we would. Our server wasn’t as attentive she was focused on her other tables. The food took awhile to come out but it was decent once it arrived. I definitely recommend the shrimp tacos!!! Might stop in and give it another try when back on that side of town.“

“I have always loved this place, even as a child it was one of my favorite places to go eat with my mama and Nana. “Wife and I visited Karonda's for the first time in probably five years and were not disappointed. Despite the place being nearly empty, the staff was attentive and our waitress was wonderful. The food was much better than we remembered and we both left thoroughly happy with the experience. The interior could use some work to not feel so empty when there aren't a lot of folks there. At one point, we joked about how it felt like we were eating in the basement because there was nobody around.“

“While visiting my girlfriend’s family in Greensboro for the holidays we went to the grandchildren’s favorite park. The kids wanted ice cream and we went to park side pull-up. I ordered a hamburger and my girlfriend had their hot dog. Both were delicious and the service was great. We will be sure to stop there again on our next visit.“

“The food here is beautifully plated. The menu had a great variety. I had the meatloaf, which was a good mixture of beef and pork and seasoned bread crumbs. The Augratin potatoes were good, but missed being great by adding just a little more cream and cheese. The rice medley was lackluster. If the rice was seasoned like a pilaf, it would have been more flavorful.“

“Nice spot. They have bar food, but it is fantastic. They have a nice liquor and beer selection. They have kept the look like an old timey bar. And the staff is super nice and friendly. It is a great place to watch the game with the boys or a guys night out, and it is quiet enough to possibly take a date for a night cap.“

“Cherry Pit Cafe has restored my belief in TRUE comfort food. I’ve tried a little of everything and A LOT of what I love. There is nothing that isn’t fantastic on the menu. The chicken pot pie is amazing and the Shepherds Pie is beyond great. Cornbread, mashed potatoes, Mac&Cheese, French fries and every other side is fantastic. I crave the potato, cheese soup once a week and the quiches are so good. We’re trying the Pie Shake for the first time tonight. I’m not a sweets fan but I’m surprising my girlfriend, who will love it. So thankful this Lake Jeanette dweller has found the BEST food in Greensboro!!!! 6 stars!!!!“

“I've driven by this place a few times and I'm glad I finally stopped. This isn't a place to dine in, although I believe you can. I would consider this a solid take out place. I ordered in advance via their website. The ordering process was very easy. I appreciated that you could select your sides and sauces easily. The online ordering said my food would be ready within 15 mins. The parking lot is not large but it is large enough for quick in and out orders. Just note, when you order online there is a list of drinks, but upon entering the establishment I realized they have drink fridges and snacks set up similar to convenient stores. So if you don't order the drink online, you have a second chance. I got there in 14 mins from ordering and the server was literally putting my food in the bag. Perfect! The bag felt hot so I knew my food was going to be warm when I got home. The server was super nice and friendly. I ordered the Sassy 8 wings. The sweet Thai chili sauce made those sassy wings super tasty. Yum! Not only did they taste well, they didn't skimp on the size and they just looked good! I was a little sad the celery was so small, but with wings like this I can't complain too much. I ordered a side of fries and goodness...they also tasted amazing! My son's chicken tenders were also plentiful. They made sure we had plenty of ketchup and ranch to dip our chicken. He loved them. This is a special spot and I will definitely be back to try other things on their menu, but after tasting those wings...it is going to be very hard not to order them again. Hey, I may get them along with something new.“

“Excellent and friendly service. A very quaint spot with a horseshoe bar. The tables are close-set suggesting a family atmosphere. The buffalo cauliflower was a great start to our meal. The eggplant was delicious. It had crunch and just enough cheese. The sauce was thick and clinged to the pasta. Their sausage was very flavorful. My wife enjoyed her Linguine Pescatore and commented on the home-made taste of the linguine. The Tiramisu was the only disappointment and the Crème brûlée was 86 at 8:00 pm. The menu is extensive and we'll return to sample more. Many pizzas were being had at the surrounding tables - I'll have to give it a try too. Our bill was $89, with tip, but we sampled a lot since it was our first time.“

“I haven't been to Brown Gardiner in YEARS and going here for lunch brought back so many memories of going here as a little girl with my grandparents. It's a unique little soda fountain located inside a local pharmacy and has been serving Greensboro since the late 50s. My mom and I stopped in around 1 on a Friday and it was fairly steady with patrons dining in. There's a large counter where you can sit, or you can grab one of the several tables on the floor. Parking can be a bit tight, but there's a lot in the back and a few spots out front. We were immediately greeted by a few of the staff members. Our waitress was excellent! Very nice and provided quick service, constant refills, and checked in often. No complaints there at all! The prices are also outstanding! Can't really beat them. The food is diner style, offering breakfast and lunch options from burgers to hotdogs to BBQ. We opted for the Double Bacon Cheeseburgers and each got a side of fries. The fries are crinkle cut, my favorite! They were tasty. The burgers were good, but honestly were a little bland with very minimal seasoning (even S&P!) and the burger meat plus bacon didn't seem as fresh as other places. It wasn't bad by any means, I just expected a little more I guess based on my childhood memories. I will definitely go back and try other things, and probably get a burger again sometime as it's a fine burger for the price. It's worth a go to check out the uniqueness of and history behind this spot. I will say the hot dogs looked delicious and there's a lot of dessert options for purchase at the front counter (from a local bakery), make sure you try the coconut cake!“

“Stopped in for date night recently and really enjoyed it. We started with the Cajun calamari as our appetizer. The coating was light and crispy and had a decent flavor but I wouldn't say it was "Cajun" to me. For my entree I got the crab cakes and a side of Mac and cheese. I loved that the crab cakes had corn salsa and a Cajun sauce on top. It really complimented the crab cakes nicely and added some flavor. I really enjoyed my dinner and the service was nice as well.“

“The Triad has some excellent public golf courses in general, but Bryan Park in Greensboro has consistently been one of the best for decades. Featuring two courses, one a Champions course for more seasoned golfers, and the "Players course" for intermediate skill levels, everything about this places is a well oiled machine. On arrival, there is plenty of parking and it is all completely safe from any errant golf shots. The clubhouse is getting a little old, but still very clean inside and out and attractive looking with lots of stonework. Pro shop staff couldn't be more courteous, and if you live in Greensboro, you get a discount for being a resident. From there you'll get your cart, load up your clubs, and proceed to the starter where if you've arrived sufficiently early, you'll get a complimentary bag of balls to warm up with (irons only, the range is only about 200 yards long). There you'll get a scorecard depending on which course you are playing, my review is for the Players course because I am a bogey golfer on most occasions. The Champions course is truly quite difficult from what I understand, and I simply am not ready for that. The Players course has tee boxes for any skill level, but I would say this is still not a course to take a beginner to learn. The course features lots of sharp doglegs guarded by either trees or large fairway bunkers. There is also plenty of water in play, with a lot of 2nd shots needing to carry water with a mid-iron. Finally, greenside, you can count on several sand traps, some of which a beginner would simply need to pick up out of because they are deep. If you're not at the point where you reliably get the ball into the air and have a decent idea of your various club yardages, it could be a long and expensive day. The course is beautiful. Even in early spring when I played before the fairways can green up and theres a true separation between rough and fair, or green and fringe, it was still picturesque. Lots of manicured features, good landscaping, traps were in fluffy condition with the exception of one fairway bunker which was just clay that I dropped out of. Wind is definitely a factor, as you are lakeside for much of the day. Stop and enjoy the views when it isn't your turn to hit. At the end of the day, I had some difficulties putting. Early season golf is what it is, but some of it was surely my own fault. 93 is a good score here for me, this was a worthy adversary. I only had a light snack at the turn, so can't comment too much on the grill, but my buddy said his hot dogs were fantastic! I enthusiastically recommend Bryan Park for any golfers that have some seasoning under their belt. Best in the area, especially for the price!“
