The drinks menu was impressive, offering a wide variety of options. But what truly set this restaurant apart was the service. “Ordered the 6oz filet with fries and chicken wings.
There is no picture of the wings. They were so good they dissappear before I could get a picture.
My son took me out for lunch to celebrate his Black Belt ceremony.
My steak tasted really good, and had it been cooked to order, it would have been awesome.
My regret is not sending it back because I ordered medium rare, and I get medium well, and that disappointed me.
I wonder if someone received my steak or did the chef just overcook it.”

“My wife and I love The Fourk. We visit Hickory often. I'm originally from NY, on our first visit our Waiter was Dave. Great guy and awesome conversations. We missed him this last visit, however, Tasha was also a fantastic Waitress. We loved The Burrata, and my lady was delighted with The Jumbo Scallops. I just can't stray away from your Fourk Chop. I'll try something else next time.”

“I love this food they have and wish they had more trucks! All of the food I have bought has been exceptionally good - the beef and chicken Pasatapilo and other things. They are so good I will hunt them down almost monthly and have went to a couple work locations!”

“Absolutely loved this place. From out of town for a work trip and wanted a place to grab a brew with a calm environment. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Drank the Hat Trick Lager and the Nova Hazy IPA and loved both of them. Highly recommend!”

“My husband and I are “foodies” and we absolutely LOVE the Vintage House in Hickory. We would rank this restaurant as one of the top in NC. Every appetizer, entree, and dessert are delicious and beautifully plated. The atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy. Prices are in line with the food and service received. All staff are excellent, and we particularly appreciate the warm welcome we always receive from Jack. We are very thankful to have such an excellent restaurant in our hometown!”

“This is my all time favorite place to order a cake from - they are THE most delicious cakes, cupcakes and cake plops I have ever tasted since the cakes my mother used to make. Nothing else compares. The service is great, people are phenomenal and experience is top notch. You will NOT be disappointed to give this bakery a chance with your order. Thank you to Corner Bakery for pulling the order for our bridal shower off without a hitch and we want you to know that there were so many that raved over the cakes and cupcakes. “I just love this little bakery. They are always welcoming and so sweet. I love the whoopie pies they make. My favorites are pumpkin and oatmeal. Both are soft and filled with vanilla buttercream that is smooth not broken. I also love the little banana bread loaves moist with chocolate chips and pecans, only thing I wish they were much bigger. We will be bringing our grandson to play putt putt soon. What fun! Support home town, it’s so worth it!”

“Been dying to try this place out for at least a year and finally got the chance! Celebrated a friends bday here. We ordered 2 apps (spinach & artichoke dip / brisket nachos) both were delicious and portions were large! One of us got fish & chips and the rest of us each got a different burger. Everyone enjoyed their food! My burger was the one with blue cheese and it was so so good. I subbed my fries for the parm fries and they didn’t disappoint! I’ve told everyone I’ve come in contact with since to try out 13twenty, and will be back this weekend for my mom’s bday dinner!”

“A hidden gem. It is not a sit in restaurant but the food is excellent. I love their desserts. My personal favorite is their livermush sandwich with slaw, onions and mustard. I dare you to try it. How do you all make the livermush so crispy. I can't do that at home without burning it.”

“We were sat near a very large party, so we had to wait a little while on our server. She was nice and friendly. Our food came pretty quickly and tasted great. The only downside is the higher prices because they charge $16 for a plate of Alfredo noodles with no meat. We eat here pretty often, but it would be nice to see lower prices on plain noodles. We've noticed overtime that the bread sticks aren't as good, they're lacking in flavor.”

“Very cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff, I live just up the road from this coffee shop and was able to walk down and back in under 20 minutes! Cameron and Nastacia were both nice and engaging during my time and made me feel welcome to come back and try them again! I got the Bluebird Iced Latte with Oatmilk which reminds me of a cinnamon blueberry muffin (as if you got a blueberry muffin from Panera and added cinnamon to it). I look forward to my next visit!”

“I am so happy that my indecisive self decided to give this place a try. I have not been impressed with most of the establishments in the area. My wife and I usually travel to Asheville for good food. On a Sunday there weren’t a lot of options. We decided to give backstreets a try. It’s been years since I ate here and didn’t remember. She got Cajun chicken pasta and I got possibly the best Rueben I’ve had in years. I’d say the pasta is better than Cheesecake Factory. The only negative thing was the judgy couple sitting beside us. However, they cannot control who comes through their doors. The service was excellent and I’m so happy I found a place I am happy with locally.”

We've ordered the 3 stack of pancakes at another Biscuitville a few times and they were perfect so that's what I had in mind when I ordered these but I was sadly mistaken. I paid over $5 for 3 small silver dollar sized pancakes that tasted like flour, the pancakes from the other Biscuitville were normal plate sized and delicious. The Sausage Gravy Biscuit and Loaded Country Fries we ordered were really good. The Loaded Fries had the expected toppings ( Buttermilk Ranch, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon Bits ) plus a topping I didn't expect - Sausage Gravy which made the already good flavor great. We will probably go back but unfortunately I will no longer be ordering the pancakes. I also want to mention that the cashier was very nice, she smiled the whole time and even joked around a little with us when we joked with her.”

They are all nice.The price is really good for the amount of food they give you. We have been going there for years, and we keep going back. It's always someone else in the restaurant eating with family or friends, and everyone loves the food, and the egg rolls are a favorite thing for me. I always get the lunch combo with the hot brown sandwich. It is good every time! The cookies are really good too. The stuffed chicken wing was tasty, and the papaya salad had the ideal balance of salty, sour, and spicy. The crispy pork belly was packed with flavor, and the Nava drink was refreshingly sweet. The décor could benefit from some tidying up—hiding the back counters and removing the room dividers would create a more polished, upscale feel and show greater attention to detail in the overall atmosphere.”

“This is more like a Texas BBQ restaurant than a Carolina style BBQ restaurant. The meats are very good, as are their fries. Most of the rest of the sides are just okay. And the dessert we got (Apple cobbler) wasn't very good. It was more like a cake, and was served cold.
The servers are very nice and attentive. It's a little pricy, so we won't be coming back too often, but it's good for if you want a different kind of BBQ.”

“Food was good. Little greasy as expected. Only real complaint is how they do things for the drive thru. No one else at screens or window when we ordered/paid, but that’s because they put a sticker on your mirror and you have pull up past the window to park and wait on them to bring it out. Once you pay, there’s 3 lanes. 2 outer lanes to park and wait and a middle for leaving. We sat there for almost 30 mins waiting on 2 plain burger combos. Some people that were there before us, were still there after we left. They come out wandering around confused as they are trying to match the order to the number on your rear view mirror. It was an odd experience and not one I plan to repeat anytime soon. Really shouldn’t take that long for fast food.”

“Thank God for Jack in the Box! Even through covid they kept up there extended hours. I’m a night owl and NOTHING is open late anymore! Somehow Jack in the Box has managed to sustain their late hours and keep decent employees.
