“I met a friend for brunch and it was a great relaxing experience. The staff was very friendly and inviting. We stayed for hours. The mimosas and quiche were delicious! I love that we finally have this kind of space so close to home.“

“We found this little gem by chance and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, kid friendly (albeit its an adult place). We sat at a small corner table by the bar. We enjoyed some sharable plates, great wines, mocktails for the kids, excellent wines and my wife a great Vesper made by Luci (the bartender). But the cherry on top was the fact that she made a perfect Irish Coffee - a simple drink, but buttered by 99% of the bar tenders. We will be back.“

“We had walked by this place so many times and had heard nothing but good things but being retired and on a budget, we waited until a really special occasion...our 70th Birthdays. What a culinary treat! The food was great; exquisitely prepared. The ramp salad with fresh shiitake and oyster mushrooms was delicious. My entrée, rigatoni with wild boar bolognese, was wonderfully seasoned and the pasta was a perfect al dente. Same for the spinach ravioli. The desserts didn't disappoint either. All in all it was a most pleasant evening and well worth the price.“

“This was for my birthday. I was supposed to be in Europe but something came up. The seating was so beautiful you felt like that was where you were at. We ordered the filet Mignon, Caesar salad, A berry and chocolate cake, and a creme brulee. It was just magical and outstanding.“

“We had mixed feelings about Avenue M. The hot cheesy artichoke dip was one of the best things we've ever eaten and worth a trip no matter what else. I would definitely go back for that. I had the smash burger and my husband had chicken wings (we had some difficulty finding something enticing on the very small menu); they were good and acceptable but that's about it. The ambience is one of those (now outdated) industrial style restaurants which I find cold and noisy when crowded. Service was very attentive.“

“Our absolute favorite restaurant in the southeast, the food here is just special. Their food is thoughtfully crafted, made with love, and beautifully plated. They can transform a pile of beans into the most exquisite dish. My husband, who is an incredible (professional) chef in his own right, and I think it’s better than some of the Michelin Star restaurants we’ve been to. And the service is top notch as well, we always feel so welcome and cozy here. It’s an absolute gem!“

“I love a good burger and this place has them. Staff is so friendly. I had a ground chicken burger with caramelized onions and mushrooms and OMG it was amazing. Their handout fries were sooo good. Onion rings were pretty greasy. Other than that this place is great for food and people watching if you sit outside. Great location.“

“We were in Weaverville to be with family for a wedding. We stopped in to Twisted Laurel for dinner. We sat on the back patio. It was shady and nice. They have a good list of wines and beers including local beers. Hubby and I ordered a plate of pita and hummus as an appetizer. It comes with 3 types of hummus and whipped feta cheese. Delicious. The pita was cut into triangles and was very soft. The hummus was tasty but the star of the plate was the whipped feta cheese, creamy, salty, delicious! We both ordered the Greek meatballs for our entree. It came with a Greek salad. The salad was fresh. I believe they make the dressing in house and it was outstanding. The Greek meatballs were very good. They came out piping hot and covered in melted cheese. I would definitely visit again. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. The service was good and attentive without being instrusive.“
