“The goose and monkey brew house is a great spot to hang in Lexington! They offer beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks. I had a margarita today which was pretty good. I do not like beer but the wondering pig has become one of your favorite pints to get, I love the bitterness of it. They also have the DELICIOUS restaurant pour folk provisions inside which makes it ten times better!!! Friendly staff, various seating options including outside. Various events, specials and cocktails offered throughout the week. My family and friends and I love to go to Wednesday night bingo , it is such a good time. I’m so glad Lexington has places like the goose and monkey.”
“The owners and employees are the most welcoming of any winery I’ve ever been to, plus I’ve yet to try a wine I didn’t like. Such a beautiful and welcoming place to hang out.”
“We went on a Friday night and it was really packed but I'm going to safely assume that is because the food was friggin AMAZING! That and we went right around when everyone goes out for dinner so I expected it to be busy. Now in the price section of this review I selected the $30-$50 option but we actually got the fillet dinner for two which came with appetizers, main course and dessert which ran close to $100 before tax and tip. However most of the items are not THAT expensive, just depends on what you get..........but let me tell you, the entire meal was *muah* chef's kiss............ SPECIALLY the fillet!I don't remember our servers name but she was fantastic, practically read our minds when we needed drinks or anything for that matter. Plus had a great sense of humor. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.”
“I've been coming to Native vines since around 2008 and it's been great to see the evolution of this winery. While I wouldn't necessarily categorize this as my favorite in the area, they've made a lot of improvements in the last few years, including additions to the property, such as a back patio and lawn area. They have a range of wines that skew to the sweet side (I'm more of a dry fan), but the dry reds they have are well priced sippers. The sangria is good for a party, and fans of sweeter wines will find a lot to enjoy in the apple, blackberry, and tea offerings. Really, I count this as a 3.5 stars given my palette, but I'm going four because of the nice people and focus on sweets.”
“The veggie pasta (add chicken) with Alfredo sauce (instead of marinara) is absolutely delicious. Paired with a Ceasar salad, it's one of my favorite meals. My husband loves the spaghetti. Our servers have always been friendly and efficient. Highly recommend. They also have a pizza buffet and play good music while you eat.”
“My wife and I made a reservation for Friday night and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised at the food, the service, and the ambience. For a small, cozy and quaint place the chef is absolutely outstanding. The meals were tasty, with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. My wife asked if he would make her a vegetarian dish, and she said it was literally the best vegetarian meal she’s ever had. Everything was outstanding, and we were blown away to find such a wonderful dinner in a relatively small town. The service was also very polite, friendly and professional. If you’re in the Lexington area, you always yourself to make a reservation!”
“Absolutely enchanting experience at The Grape Escape Vineyard! From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, we were captivated by the serene atmosphere and picturesque vineyards. The wine tasting was an exquisite journey through their diverse selection, expertly guided by knowledgeable owners Kym and Neil who made the experience both educational and enjoyable. Each sip revealed layers of flavor, showcasing the craftsmanship and passion behind every bottle. We left feeling not only delighted by the wines but also enriched by the warm hospitality and charming ambiance. A must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts seeking a truly unforgettable experience. Five stars without a doubt!”
“Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious.. I would recommend this place. Huge step-up from previous establishment so don't let the old sign fool you... "live " guacamole and fresh salsa were best in town.***update****Came back to see if the experience was a fluke.. it wasn't, the food was even better this time around. Service was also better which is saying alot. Great service excellent food..”
“Really good Mexican food. Some gringo, some authentic and most not unusual but very well prepared. Something for everyone!Wheelchair accessibility: Good parking access though only two curb cutouts. Easy to enter door and lobby. Not all resting the best for accessibility so work with your host on what works best for you.”
“This is one of my favorite NC wineries...the library tastings are a treasure! The owner is knowledgeable and willing to share, the tasting room folks are friendly, and the wines are well thought out. I learn something new every time I go here and enjoy some really lovely wines.”
“I've been eating at this restaurant for years, but for some reason have never reviewed it until now. And here's the thing about Christo's: some of the criticisms in other reviews are valid, and there are definitely things the restaurant could and should aspire to do better with. The service here, and the atmosphere it sometimes creates, is something I've never really seen in a restaurant before: some of the staff here can be downright rude. Sometimes, you'll find a group of servers/employees standing at the front near the buffet waiting on orders loudly discussing work drama and speaking negatively about the place and/or other employees. Sometimes it's other customers who lack manners. And yes, if you go at certain times (the end of lunch, for example) you're going to get pizza from the buffet that's last its prime. But even with all of that in mind, we love eating here because the food is just really good when it's done right. They serve my husband's favorite Philly cheese steak. Their pastas and subs are fantastic, and though inconsistent, their wings are awesome. The pizza buffet has an excellent variety of pizzas, and the corresponding salad bar has a ton of different toppings and my favorite restaurant ranch dressing. The supreme pizza, as well as the Philly cheese steak bread stuff, are among the best options, and their dessert pizzas are a really yummy change of pace as well. Even though this place does have its flaws and its bad days, we keep coming back because we just love the food that much at the end of the day.”
“Super pizza, I got an upgrade to extra cheese and pepperoni. One pizza was thick crust and the other was thin, both were very good and tasty!I picked up these pizzas so I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere because I was in the waiting area, no big deal it was still clean.”
“Today, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a dear friend, and together, we decided to visit the Children's Vineyards for a delightful brunch and a fun girls' day out. We savored the trifecta brunch alongside diverse wine tastings. Later, we basked in the ambiance of live music on the terrace while indulging in more wine tastings. With great conversations, lovely music, and perfect weather, our day couldn't have been any better. The vineyards provided an unforgettable experience, and I'm already looking forward to returning for more enjoyment.”
