“My server was also the bartender so even though he was incharge of the whole restaurant, he was attentive and kind. He suggested to try any of the burgers so I got the classic burger which was a great choice! The food came out hot and it was so delicious. I will be back when I'm in the area.“

“This is a busy place during peak times. Staff is polite. Food is always good and prepared as ordered. Seating can be tricky during the lunch rush. Parking is abundant but that lot is often dangerous entering and exiting. Please do so slowly and safely?“

“I love this place. They do the little things well—always friendly staff, clean and spacious dining area, and fun drinks. We’ve been a couple times, but decided to come and try the Spring seasonals. My Strawberry cold foam Matcha Latte was exceptional, and my gf loved her raspberry white mocha as well. There are lots of places to sit and charge if needed, which makes it even better. “Hands down my favorite place in lower-south end. I moved to CLT in 2022 and this has always been a dependable place for good (and reasonably priced) food and beer, a nice space for watching sports, or just hanging out for live music or trivia.They have good weekly deals like half off apps and $6 burgers that make an after-work visit hard to pass up.They often change their beer and food menus which is great. My only issue with Yancey is that they don't change their pizza menu, and the mushroom/olive pizza and goat cheese pizza are probably the worst items on the menu (my opinion). Crust is always great though. Needs a buffalo or bbq chicken pizza to replace those. The Grind is the best by far. Homemade ranch is killer.Sandwiches are killer. “What an amazing place! We had no idea what we were walking into, wanted to try a Kava place after hearing about it from friends, the Kava is delicious and relaxing (I had 3) but what makes this place really special is the people. The owners, the activites (check their website for music trivia, karaoke). This is a great contrast to today's modern world of bars where no one interacts with each other, and everyone just gets tipsy and then leaves. This is a special place where humans interact with other humans. Wish I didn't live an hour away, but I'll still be back <3“

“Love this place. The service is fantastic and I've never had a bad meal or a bad drink. I highly recommend their brisket meatballs and their sandwiches. There's a large patio to chill and have a beer and/or just hang out. Dogs are welcome on the patio too!“

That being said I have been active in the craft beer scene in a different state for a long time and Lower Left reminds me of the exciting early day of craft brewing. A local brewery, laidback vibes, run by folks that want to make a good product and have a fun time doing it. The beers well made, and the selection is stellar for such a small brew house. They really shine with IPAs, but have some amazing rotating beers (including a Key Lime Pie beer that is in my top 10 list). So bring your spouse, kids, in-laws, dogs, cats and head over to Lower Left for a solid beer and good times.“

“I went for lunch on a random Wednesday and the place was absolutely packed. I would have had to wait for a half hour if I sat at a table, so we got bar service. I had several different meats including the pulled pork, chopped pork, and sausage. I LOVED the meat, but I didn't love the sauces they had out on the table. “Yesterday my husband and I had a 3pm reservation… Jacob was our tour guide and he was professional, interesting to listen to and had ALOT of knowledge of wines/ whiskey and the history of the establishment. What I liked best about the tour was how we didn’t feel rushed and he was patient while we were taking photos to show our good time. “My fiancee and I have been to Tasty at least 4 or 5 times since they've been open. We have always had an amazing experience. The staff are all incredibly friendly and quick to fix any mistakes. The food and drinks have always been stellar (try the Tasty Latte, you won't regret it). We have tried quite a few of the menu options, and highly recommend the burgers, the breakfast bowl, the hummus, and the spicy feta dip. So thankful that such a great place opened up two minutes from our house. We'll definitely be spending a lot of time there!“

They have a very unique decor inside and fun patio/outdoor entertainment area.The food and drinks were incredible.My mom got the seasonal dumplings 6 total, 3 of each type with a blonde local beer. Delicious!I got the seasonal winter gnocchi in a light sauce with the duck which is probably the best gnocchi I've ever had. Then, got the black pepper butter cream cake and it was good but more dense than expected. “When I used to live in the city few years ago I used to rave about how all of the Charlotte breweries couldn’t hold a candle to the charcuterie at Lenny Boy - always with two rotating, high quality cheeses and lots of other selections.We would go frequently and I would always order it.This last time we went it was the same price as it had been for a plate that consisted of one cheese, a few crackers, a sparse amount of salami, a slice or two of prosciutto, some oats? and raisins, with Dijon mustard.Super disappointed in the noticeable drop in quality. “The beer is quite good. The atmosphere is industrial typical. It is often crowded though usually there are seats. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment. This is not a good place to have a conversation between more than two or three people. With loud music and other people, it is hard to hear without shouting.“

“I visited Summit seltzer for a comedy show on Thursday night. I was invited by your friend. I've never come here before and I was super glad that they had parking, not just parking, but ample parking in their own parking lot. Upon arrival my friend and I stopped at the bar and we met Eric who is one of the Brewers. He has a very cool look and a personality that compliments his look. Drinks were amazing as well as the seltzer. I had two drinks and one seltzer. I was glad that neither the seltzer or the drinks were too sweet. The name of the business is now #Bevery! The local comedians were funny, and I had quite a nice time and received some interesting prizes. I want to come back over the weekend to experience the business.“

“This place has the best pork BBQ that I have ever had. It wasn't loaded with hot spices like so many restaurants do these days. There are two sauces on the table that are both very good. If you like hot spices they have Texas Pete available. The mac n' cheese was also delicious. The Okra was a little too crispy but still tasted good. I was a bit surprised that no bread was included with the meal but I just remember to order bread next time. The server was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. It was a bit noisy but not bad for a saloon.“

Even in a Sunday when we went a crowd mostly on laptops. Maybe students too. Lots of seating, tables and couches. Nice decor and contemporary setting and nice chill music . The service was a little slow as only one person seemed to be on deck. Great coffee and tea menu and they have wine and beer and cocktails ! Sunday afternoon we thought we'd try their espresso martinis . It was made with all the right ingredients but tasted different and no foam!! Little odd. Tasted more Carmel like. Probably should have stuck to a coffee of some type. They all looked really good and I loved the smell of all the coffee in the air. It was so clean and they provided many food items including Homestead Creamery ice cream (which was wonderful).The owner was so delightful to speak with and provided such great information regarding different products that they carry. “I've been to this restaurant more than 5 times now. The quality of the food has always been fresh and flavorful. I always get the spring mix and white rice base accompanied by some chicken, shrimp, and squid. The people who work here are always accomodating, helpful, and very patient with explaining each selection. The place is always clean and organized. The pineapple soft serve is one of the best refreshing desserts in the area. Always request to have fresh pineapple bits to be added. This one in particular was the raspberry pineapple mix and it was so so so good. This place never fails.“

“Okay, we decided upon this restaurant as it was close to the Charlotte Outlet. ( with drinks, he said he would make any drink we liked if we didn't see a drink of interest--nice drink menu) The drinks we ordered were BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS! Derrick truly MADE this experience memorable. (There are certain customer service skills you can't teach) We started with the Carne Asada Fries... YUMMY! Our food did not come out hot so that was disappointing however who immediately came to the rescue to have the food re-made, well guess who? Derrick! His willingness to make things right would have me give this restaurant another chance. It's a beautiful establishment, hope they work on these little issues so more people walk through the doors to an amazing experience. “I've come here a lot over the past few years, but now that I'm back in Charlotte for a while, I feel like this place just gets a special place in my heart. Most everyone is very kind, including staff, and it's just a great place to be. Last time my sister and I came here a couple weeks ago, we were welcomed and were able to pet so many dogs. My own dog died in October and it just hasn't been the right time to get another dog in my heart. But I can still come to Lucky Dog and grab a drink while playing and petting other people's dogs with no judgement, just happiness. For ambiance, it's just a very kind place to go to where dog people unite. I usually get beer or kombucha here, and there's actually a really yummy non-alcoholic lavender lemon kombucha by Lenny Boy there for anyone looking for something non-alcoholic other than water. You can also play games like "what do you meme" or "jenga" here with friends, which is really fun. But also if you come by yourself just looking to pet some dogs, most people are very kind and don't care. They know that some people either can't have a dog right now, or their dog probably recently died. So it's my favorite dog bar in Charlotte because I feel like most everyone here, customers and staff, are pretty kind, and want you to pet their dog if their dog is sociable, without judgement. Will come back here again and again.“
