I always wanted to eat here when I lived in Plaza but finally remembered to come since it's a special occasion.Our serve was Dylan and he didn't disappoint with service and recommendations. Ambiance was very Christmas-like and personal especially since it was the holiday's, which felt very private and personal.For starters, I had the escargot and my wife had the Apply Begger's Purse. I was a little surprised with the Gorgonzola taste since I was used to copious amounts of traditional garlic with the dish, but it was surprisingly tasty. The purse was also a good mixture of sweet and savory.I tend to be an adventurous eater and he recommended the ostrich since it was the special for the weekend while my wife had also had the special which was halibut. The Ostrich wasn't very gamy at all the was a mixture of beef and duck tase which took me for a pleasant surprise and the Halibut was cooked perfectly and wasn't very dry.For desert we tried their Flourless Molten Lava Trifle and it was he right amount of sweet.Overall, it was an amazing experience will highly recommend for any special occasion or just date night. It was rather disappointing. We opted for a small Salad, Chicken Parm, and Nutella pie. The only thing decent was the pie. It was huge, light and fluffy, and covered in caramel. The chicken Parm was a great size (2 big) breasts heavily breaded and covered in sauce and cheese, completely lacking flavor. The breading did have herbs. Additionally, it was completely greasey. You could squeeze the cutlet and the oil oozed. They definitely needed salt, too. The side of spaghetti was no different. The sauce was the same and lacked flavor. I did add fresh shaved parmesan, so the salt in that should have enhanced the flavor, but it was still lacking . The whole meal was void of flavor but looked esthetically palatable. I asked her opinion and she felt the same. Gave it a 2 out of 10. In fairness, she's Indian so she likes heavy flavor and spice, and I love strong seasoning, so this may not have been our cup of tea. So, take my review with a pinch of salt.“

Our waiter (feel bad that I forgot his name) was wonderful - just the right amount of attention without overdoing it.The braised short rip pizza was very good; my only quibble with it, was the short rib was a little dry. We also like the little dish of beans that come with the complimentary bread. You get one complimentary refill of bread, then they charge you. Entrees: Our favorite dish is the Buttara. Amatriciana is another favorite of mine. Hubs also likes Penne Alla Vodka with Shrimp. My dad likes the Chicken Parmesan (note it doesn't come with pasta, thats another ~$9 for a side of (out of the box) pasta). There is no kids menu, they can sell you a "kids pasta" which is sauce and out of the box noodles. Drinks: Everything is good. We've had the same waitress every time, who is very knowledgeable and very helpful! Sitting down to dine at the table the waiter took our drinks and went through all the specials. We had a meat and cheese plate to start. I had the Shrimp and Scallop pasta special. The Shrimp were plump and the Scallops a good size. The portion was ample. The photo does not do justice to the beauty and enormous size. Sorry it was blurry.Both the Scallops and the Shrimp were very tender and delicious. The pasta was cooked to perfection. We had great service. I had a berry cake for dessert which was moist and had Blueberry and Raspberry sauce and full of berries. It was quite good. This is the best Portofinos I have been to in town. My only recommendation for improvement is to bring out a dessert tray, I think some people would have brought dessert home. Excellent place and I will be here again!!“
