“The beautiful lady at the hostess desk welcomed me and I immediately fell in love with this restaurant. We were a group of eight people, celebrating my son's graduation, and it was fabulous. The service was excellent and so was the food, with a diverse menu, and everyone found a dish that was unique to their tastes. I had the grilled octopus as an appetizer, something rarely found on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. I cannot say enough good things about The Fig and staff!“

“We were looking forward to trying this place out, and it lived up to our expectations! Our server, Scott, was great. He had great knowledge of the menu and that also had a lot to do with staff training from the leadership, plus he has been in the hospitality industry for years. Now the food…the Tuna crudo was OUT OF THIS WORLD! It was our favorite dish…other than the raw oysters. Those were fabulous too. The fries weren’t our thing, but they were bad. The mushroom toast was quite tasty. The cocktail was perfect…I had a Last Word. My husband loved the wine, and what was so great was the serving choices. You could choose a 3 ounce or a 6 ounce pour, and that’s a great option when aren’t sure exactly what wine will go with a certain dish. I highly recommend dining here!“

“This was quite the experience. We had an AMAZING evening out. My partner and I came here for our 4th anniversary (I mentioned it in the reservation) and the staff made sure we felt welcomed and celebrated. They congratulated us as soon as we walked through the door, complimented my dress, and the server took it from there. Kori was absolutely incredible ❤️ she was beaming. She was informative about the menu, patient/polite, and very high spirited. They even gave us dessert on the house!! I'm dining here every time I come into town. The food was STUNNING, especially the mashed potatoes, crab cake, and steak. Thank you all for making our night special!! ❤️❤️“

“Hands down my favorite place in lower-south end. I moved to CLT in 2022 and this has always been a dependable place for good (and reasonably priced) food and beer, a nice space for watching sports, or just hanging out for live music or trivia.They have good weekly deals like half off apps and $6 burgers that make an after-work visit hard to pass up.They often change their beer and food menus which is great. My only issue with Yancey is that they don't change their pizza menu, and the mushroom/olive pizza and goat cheese pizza are probably the worst items on the menu (my opinion). Crust is always great though. Needs a buffalo or bbq chicken pizza to replace those. The Grind is the best by far. Homemade ranch is killer.Sandwiches are killer. Pulled pork grilled cheese, cheese steak, cuban, chicken sandwiches, you can't go wrong.Bring back the carnitas tacos!!Keep up the good work Yancey!“

“It's such a beautiful place! From the time we walked in the door, we saw this beautiful chandelier. Immediately, we were greeted and taken to our seat. The customer service was top tier, and our waitress was amazing. She answered all of our questions and a patient as we talked about 20 minis before we were ready to order. I had the HEAVENLY CRÊPE and it was lovely. Airy ,flavorful and filling, added a little extra salt, but that's because I enforce the taste of salt. The salad dressing was delightful. The way she explained them, I ordered 3! I can't remember the names, but 2 out of the 3 hit the spot.“

Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas; seafood tasted fresh. Ginger's Best Friend; ok but next time think I'd try the Botanical Mule. Service was good.“

“Multilevel restaurant tucked in BOA! We sat near the open kitchen and it was great. You could see the items being made and the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. It's dimly lit, so it gives warm and cozy vibes. We I didn't know it was an a-la-cart menu till we got there. So check the full menu when before you go! There's not a huge California wine selection; it's more international with France/Italy/Argentina leading the way. I kept it simple with a smooth Rosé (Faísom) from France. We had the Potato Gnocchi with Braised Beef in a tomato sauce. Thie didn't need sides. It came as a whole meal unto itself. The Gnocchi were tender and not gummy, the meat robust as it was Sous vide. The herb marinated shrimp, Calabrian Chili Butter, was delectable. The pan-fried corn had a nice crisp bite, well seasoned and buttery. I didn't care gor the Brussels Sprouts. I was hoping they were good as it was they're halved/grilled and loaded with Bacon, Cashews, Provolone, and a Sherry Vinegar. They feel flat. They needed a sauce or drizzle of balsamic and seasoning. Now, the Mac-n-Cheese was hitting. They add goat milk, which elevated the flavor. It does provide a slight tang. I would have never thought to add that. There's a traditional cheese crust and absolutely no breadcrumbs ( Thanks). We rounded it off with the Spiced cheesecake with praline topping and fresh whipped cream. It was a delectable and delicious dinner with great service“

“I've been doing Courts and Coffee for the past month, and it is my new favorite thing. Randi is very nice and welcoming and really great about matching you up with people at your skill level. She does all the organizing and I get to just show up and play! I'm new and still learning and even when I play with/against more experience people they have been so nice and encouraging. If you're open and willing to learn from others, you will enjoy yourself. And socializing in between games and the included coffee is a nice bonus!“

“Dot Dot Dot is an exceptional way to spend a low key date night or celebration in an intimate setting. We had the opportunity to go and sit at the bar. I would really recommend this option. Being able to talk to the knowledgeable and very friendly bartenders made the night that much more enjoyable. They checked in often but you never felt rushed. They were down for casual conversation and never appeared to look overwhelmed. The drinks were great and the bartenders were happy to make adjustments or just come up with something on the fly. The real surprise of the night the was how insanely tasty their Brussel Sprout’s were! We had first stared with the spinach dip that was excellent. The bread on its own floor had been a dish based on the flavor. So, we moved to those sprouts and WOW. They are by far the best in the entire city. It was mind blowing. The sad thing as far as being able to enjoy these is they change their menu often so get them while you can and hopefully they will make their way back another day.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp for wheelchair needs.“

“Nice place with good music and atmosphere, their cocktails were the best, we went here hoping tasting wine but that is only on Tuesday, we told the person assisting us we were here first time but we got very limited information however the bartender was around and she was super friendly and sharing information about the wine tasting days , we saw few reviews on Bellini cocktail and wanted to have it but came to know their menu changed and made us a version without slushy it was very good, for the next one we asked her to make one of her specials and she gave us a drink which was too good it was not in the menu. My wife also ordered the same drink and she told hers tasted even better with lime touch, she is the best.The food options were very limited but the way it was presented and quality is great . We ordered hummus plates and mushroom flatbread, we liked both, the food we ordered, the food menu also keeps changing here!!overall we had great experience and we will be back to the wine tasting someday.“

“Yeah Mon! If you are looking for the real deal mon, then this is the thing! Jamaican food at its best. Tonight was my first visit to Fidels Kitchen and I was impressed with how tasty, spicy, and authentic it all was. Admittedly, I am not from Jamaica, but I am from Florida which has some great Jamaican food too. I had been hankering for some red snapper and I had a Groupon for this place plus I had to head near their side of town anyway. I ordered the Red Snapper Escovitch with the rice&peas and the mac and cheese. The snapper was excellent, cooked just right and covered with a clear sauce that was freshly tangy and spicy hot (but not too much) with onions, Irish potato slices, and thin slices of Scotch Bonnet pepper. (Scotch Bonnet peppers are very closely related to habanero peppers.) I also ordered a small portion of curry goat. The last time I had curry goat Jamaican style this darn good was in the Jamaican Town of Flushings, Queens, NYC. That place was known for its curried goat and Fidels matches it! (Is that Blue Mountain Hot Curry?) The rice&peas portion was huge and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was certainly cheesy and not some fake Kraft powder-like cheese. Its top was toasted with just a touch of crispness. Topping it all off were a couple of slices of plantain. Please keep in mind that this location is takeout only! Fidels Kitchen is part of the South Ends Eats which houses seven different restaurants. Customers for all seven doors go thru the same entrance and the lobby is where to pick up or order food. When the food is ready, it is stashed in a locker box and you use your phone app at the kiosk and the locker door pops open. Quite a unique setup. There is no indoor seating, but there is outdoor seating with picnic tables around the side of the building. (Rumor has it that there might be another Fidels Kitchen opening hopefully in the near future in Concord.)“

“My wife and I went to the Puttery close by and had a few drinks & some fun, then walked over to Bang Bang Burgers ?Id never been here but the vibes seemed nice and the smells were comforting so we went in.They ask you what temperature you want your burger at. Loved that. Not just a well done burger. You can choose. These are not slider or smash burgers so you may not need a double.Service was quick, food brought to your table. Crowd was 20-30s on a Friday night.The burger, fries and beer was all exceptional. Definitely coming back.High quality all around.“

If you're a bourbon enthusiast, this is a great watering hole! Brittany, the bartender, makes a fantastic Old Fashioned! We were seated soon after and enjoyed our brunch fare. The truffle deviled eggs were DEVINE! We both had eggs Benedict. I had mine with crab, and my friend had the traditional. Everything was outstanding! From beginning to end.
