“We just delivery from Osaka sushi , they are so excellent , the delivery was so fast , we just waiting for 25minutes from my order, driver was owner so nice , and the food was amazing , their sushi rolls quality were so good , and tempura combo was so crispy , we will order tonight , we really need Osaka Sushi in this town?“
“Luis, Yasu and the team at U Omakase are fantastic. The food is incredible, the vibes immaculate (solid playlist), and the experience memorable. My wife and I have been to many of the top Omakase spots in NYC/Brooklyn and I can definitively say that U Omakase is by far provides the best value, vibes, service, and tasty / inspired food. Luis and team are clearly passionate about the food, explain each dish and if you ask will tell you all about why different culinary choices were made. Oh and the ability to BYOB and bring a nice bottle of wine without breaking the bank is awesome too. We'll definitely be back.“
“I recently dined at Makoto. The reservation was easy to make, and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating our allergy requests. The location is great and restaurant atmosphere was great, and the food definitely lived up to my expectations. We tried the 18-course and highly recommended, and if you visit the restaurant, you should too. This is a must-try if you are looking for a nice cozy place for omakase.“
“Really fun environment and the sushi bar experience is a ton of fun. The chefs are great to watch execute their craft, they’ll make friendly small talk, and the host is very accommodating and friendly. The impromptu trivia and group karaoke was a welcome surprise. The food was new, interesting, unique, and very tasty!“
“This family owned restaurant is the best in town. Food is always fresh and amazing. Prices are great and the chef is always making sure his dishes look like a 5 ⭐️ restaurant.Every time I am able I visit them even though I am a bit far away.“
“Was here on a Thursday for lunch and it was good. Their seared salmon appetizer was good. They torched it and added a smokey flavor to it which was great for me since I like the smokey flavor. The ramen was spicy but good and the Domodachi Lunch set was abundant and good. Parking wasn't bad for a weekday and service was prompt.“
“Sushi YOLO provided us with an omakase experience that we haven't had at any omakase spot in New York or Japan. Chef Jake's unique take on his courses and his passion for omakase really showed through this experience. Thank you! We'll be back.“
“This is easily one of the most unique and amazing dining experiences we have had in the city. We have tried many other comparable Japanese restaurants, and this is by far the most memorable one. From the quirky yet incredibly friendly manager to the insanely talented chefs including master Endo at the fryer, the dinner was a symphony of beautiful flavors. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Japanese experience. I will definitely be back for more!“
“My friends treated me and my wife to dinner here as an engagement present. We all had a wonderful time and thought the food was top notch. On top of the fresh fish and impeccable presentations, I really appreciated that Don was so accommodating to dietary restrictions. Many restaurants serving omakase are unwilling to make changes. I would absolutely come back again and recommend this to anyone.“
“I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was buzzing with positive energy, thanks to the lively pop music and vibrant neon lights. As for the food, the Yakitori skewers were so flavorful; the asari no sakamushi was delicious, with the garlic/butter sauce. I would def come back. Also, the service was top knotch!“
“By far the best omekase/sushi we’ve had in the US. We just came back from Japan and this is hands down the most authentic Japanese restaurant we’ve been to. The fish was absolutely amazing, with the perfect amount of soy sauce/wasabi (real wasabi, not horseradish like some places). The fatty tuna was a particular highlight. The seating was typical Japanese style with an L shaped counter and you can see the sushi chefs preparing the food. We tried a few of their sakes, and they were all excellent. We came for my sister-in-law’s birthday and they gave us a free glass of a very good sake to celebrate. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the sushi chefs were fantastic. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this place is. We will be coming back, and recommending it to friends and family.“
“No question the highest quality sushi I’ve had in my life. Staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and nice. I like how the fish was served with minimal additions - meaning the focus was on the fish, not the toppings or sauces. I loved it. Definitely will eat there again.“
“Shokudo 34 has outstanding food and service. The servers were very welcoming and attentive to my family. We ordered many dishes, including the Sea Bass, Oyster Ramen, Okonomiyaki, and Agedashi Tofu. They were all cooked to perfection, and the oysters in the ramen were to die for. I love how they had some vegetarian options that my sister can eat (the agedashi tofu and tofu mushroom donburi). The sake also was the perfect compliment to our appetizers. I was also surprised to learn they have 2 locations, one in hoboken, NJ and the other near my workplace in NYC. I will definitely be back to try more of their food!!“
“The staff is super friendly, and the food is amazing! Since I moved to the area I cannot stop ordering from this place (and I have tried allllll the local poke spots when I am saying this)! They are quite literally the best poke around! And their bubble tea is great too! Highly “
“My boyfriend and I just ate in here for our 3rd time. We also frequently get take out from here and we love it every time! The rolls and sushi always taste so fresh, and the portions are the best you can get around here! It is also affordable, between the two of us we got two apps, a special roll, and a sushi entre which came out to just under $50, they also offer a complimentary dessert. This place is also BYOB which is nice and adds to the affordability. On top of this, the service is on point! We’ve had the same waitress each time we go and she is so kind, attentive, and knowledgable, I wish I got her name so I could give her a shout out. If you go during peak hours, which is around dinner time on weekends, be prepared to wait around 30-40 mins but I think it is well worth it. This is such a perfect local date night spot so check it out because they do not disappoint!“
“It's just an ordinary Japanese udon restaurant. If you don't make a reservation, you will have to wait before opening to get in right away, otherwise you may have to wait a long time. It seems to be popular because the atmosphere is clean and cozy.“
“Host and staff were very friendly. Omakase was very delicious. While I agree with some reviewers saying they may be using too many sauces and/or blow torching a lot of pieces (and they would be delicious without being torched), it was still tasty.“
“The ramen was not bad, but I don’t think there was anything particularly special about this ramen place compared to other ones in the city. It was nice because it was pretty empty and easy to get walk-in seating. Would come again for a quick, warm meal.“
“Came here on a cold Wednesday night and absolutely was blown away by their ramen. Specifically the Tabata ramen was top notch!! On the menu it notes that the Tabata ramen is spicy but it is not (I don't tolerate spicy foods well so was hesitant to order). It was amazing and the service was quick and friendly. I usually like trying different ramen places every time I get it but will definitely return and make this an UES staple restaurant for me!“
“Nestled in NYC's Upper East Side, Me Jin Ramen delivered authentic Japanese flavors. The cozy ambiance and welcoming staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. I had the Meijin Miso Ramen and ate the whole thing. The broth, simmered to perfection, harmonizes with the chewy, house-made noodles and exquisite toppings like tender beef, bean sprouts, green onions and sweet corn. As a local, I treasure Meijin Ramen for its consistently exceptional quality and comforting atmosphere. For a taste of Japan in the heart of NYC, Meijin Ramen is an absolute must-visit.“
“This was our third time dining at Blue Ribbon Sushi and the place never disappoints ! The food is always extremely fresh and perfectly prepared and the service is outstanding. The servers have an excellent knowledge of the menu and consistently give great recommendations of what to order. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Wow, the food here is absolutely incredible! The flavors are out of this world, and I can't get enough of it. The service is top-notch too, they really know how to take care of their customers. And let's not forget about the ambience, it's so beautiful and inviting. This place has got it all!“
“The service and food were all amazing! My friends and I got the roll set for three which ended up being way too much for us but we still finished it. They also served miso soup, salad, and a tempura set with the food. The sushi rolls were fresh especially the snow mountain roll. Some of the spicy rolls felt a little too spicy however so next time we'll be getting more of the non-spicy ones. We also got an extra roll and mochi ice cream on the house! The servers and chefs were attentive and very friendly to our table which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was also had a calm and quiet ambiance which we enjoyed. The set was also well worth the price for $85 which included 6 regular rolls and 3 special rolls! I would definitely come back again especially for the lunch menu and even try take out!“
“The quality of the sashimi is very good and comparable to that served at Tsukiji and high-end restaurant in Japan. The fact that such foods are available at a delicatessen in New York City is valuable. The unusually high review ratings are not arbitrarily manipulated, as you will see when you try it!“
“Great affordable omakase! Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. He wanted to sit at the end of the counter and they accommodated us no problem. They had 3 chefs making sushi, so anywhere you sat at that counter you had a great view! Pretty big place with cute decorations. The rice was perfect and the fish was delicious! The uni and ikura oyster was to die for! The eel hand roll at the end was very memorable and I don’t always love eel. We got the 2oz sake pairing. They also had a 3oz option. As someone who handles their alcohol pretty well, I was quite tipsy by the end. So I would say it’s safe to just get the 2oz option. All of the sake paired great with the fish and at the end, they gave us lots of extra sake! Overall delicious food with friendly chefs!“
“8 ordered 5 handroll combo it was amazing. Crab, lobster, toro, yellowtail all excellent in that order. Liked the bay scallops a little less but still good. Salmon sashimi a good order and solid portion. Vibe is great, service is great, it’s kind of quick and casual but still nice and sit down. No tipping so the value is pretty solid. Seaweed nice and crispy, rice tasty. Wish fish portions in each roll were a bit bigger compared to rice but this is normal. Best a la carte roll is eel. Combo of 5 or 6 combo and 3-piece and salmon sashimi is good for two people unless unusually hungry“
“Very homey vibe, as the place is verrrry small. There are maybe 4 seats at the counter and then a small table. That’s it. You can see the kitchen working. I got the pork ramen, which was definitely a little bland. Presentation was great. The mushrooms were probably the tastiest part. I really admire the effort and cozy ambience though, and I imagine people normally come here for the bento dishes and grab takeout.“
“The best sushiman in NYC! . chance discovery. Spectacular to see him work with that precision, clean cuts, he looks like a surgeon. Everything delicious, surprising combination of flavors. An address to save and return to whenever we are in the Big “
“Could not have been a better experience. Victor (I believe his name is) greeeted is and wished us a Happy Holiday. We ordered the Braised Pork Belly Donburi and the Ebi Tama Donburi and absolutely loved both of them. The pork belly was tender and succulent, a wonderful combo with the rice and greens. The Ebi Taka was shrimp tempura along with egg and rice. Both of the portions were large! I had the chocolate boba. a perfect balance to the saltier entree. We'll be back!“
“I accidentally discovered this newly opened treasure restaurant. I had a great time eating. The food is very fresh. I feel like every recipe has been injected with soul. My favorite is the Wagyu beef and foie gras. Paul is very funny and interesting, and provides great service. Friends who want to come, please remember to confirm the location in advance. Everything is great. I will continue to visit with my friends next time! ! !“
“Our meal at IWAK was good enough to call it a Williamsburg gem after one try. Great rolls, pork buns, and sake. The service and atmosphere felt more reminiscent of Japan than a number of other sushi spots.Excited to have a new sushi favorite nearby!“
“About a year ago my wife and I switched over from coffee to matcha/hojicha for our caffeine fix. Having recently moved to the area, we've been on the lookout for good matcha spots. We've already had nippon cha which is great, but have had a few people recommend kettl! Came in on a holiday Monday morning and the main table was full, but we managed to sit at the bar in the back since that doesn't open until 11. We ordered a matcha cortado with their house made MYLK which was basically coconut with tiger nuts and a hojicha latte with oat milk. I thought the matcha cortado was great and enjoyed the coconut flavor from the milk. The hojicha was also solid and my wife might've preferred that more. Definitely not the cheapest place, but where in Brooklyn is these days? Service was nice. The cashier and tea barista type guy were both super friendly and overall a good vibe. Bought some matcha and hojicha as well to take home. They have a matcha making set too although that's superrrr pricey. I'd probably just stick to Amazon or something cheaper if you're just starting unless you want some super handmade stuff. Overall, would definitely come back here especially if I'm in the area. Really liked the vibe. Would recommend if you're in Greenpoint or close to it!“
“The staff were extremely accommodating and super sweet. And omg the food was to die for. So fresh and portions were amazing and the hand rolls and crispy sushi were also really good. Please try it out if you’re looking for an amazing experience! The best sushi in town!“
“Nice addition to the neighborhood. It's a 12 or 15 course omakase menu. Tough choice on which one to order and I think it'll depend on what's on the menu for the day (ask the chef!).They seem to have a good source for their sushi as we had many interesting niguri such as the tasmanian salmon, Norwegian scampi , Canadian lobster and a really nice super premium Hokkaido uni. The dishes all had a nice clean flavor style where you weren't overpowered by too many ingredients but still could pick out unique tastes like the baked garlic and olive leaves on the pike.Simple space and friendly staff and worth a visit!“
“Came on a Friday and had a lovely time. Seating was limited so I loved the intimate vibe. Standout pieces were definitely the stacked toro and the seared wagyu. I also loved how there were a couple of pieces with uni - I especially enjoyed it on top of the crab. Rice was a bit too cold and dry though.. maybe cause it was already later on in the night? But the fish was still solid and this spot is one of the better omakases I've been to.“
“My favorite take out place. Food even through 3rd party has always been delivered, hot and fresh. You can tell the owners/staff puts extra care in packaging and quality of food they serve. They show so much love and gratitude for the community and neighbors. I have paid more for less at other establishments and I always know this place will knock it out of the park 11 out of 10 times.“
“Very friendly and the food is delicious. It's kind of Korean food, but it feels like it's slightly changed to American tastes. They seem to make their own side dishes as well. They gave me a variety of things to try, including kimchi, geotjeori, and cucumber salad, which I was grateful for.“
“Even though the place is small we still walked in on a Saturday night and got a table. They have a limited menu and limited beer and cocktails (no wine). I got the Hall single burger and my husband got the cowboy brisket burger and both were very good. They also came with string fries and the prices seemed pretty decent.“
“Hand rolls here are pretty good! Portions are small but I definitely recommend giving it a try here! My favorite handrolls were the spicy tuna and the avocado salmon. The seared prime beef and the A5 Wagyu were also to die for! Every bite melts in your mouth! The spicy tuna crispy rice was ok. The rice was not crispy enough. There was 4 pieces for $12. The salmon carpaccio was really good! Love the citrus sauce that came with this dish. There was 5 slices of salmon for $16. So it was a bit overpriced. Veggie udon was really good and flavorful! Really hit the spot on a cold rainy day! Parking is a bit difficult but that's the norm in Fort Lee. Overall, fish was pretty fresh but overpriced for the portions.“
“Our absolute favorite local sushi spot. The fish is impeccable quality, their salmon is particularly good, and the portions are quite generous for the price. Always a wonderful place to stop by for a quiet dinner, made all the nicer by the owners who are always kind and gracious.“
“My friend and I stopped in for dinner recently. It's a cozy ambiance with chill tunes. I feel like Chef Parsley invited us into her personal home and prepared a home-cooked meal for us. My time dining at Chopped Parsley made me forget that I was in Hamilton Heights, and more like I was in a small mountain-town eatery. I believe the absence of delivery motorists contributed to the peacefulness I experienced at Chopped Parsley. Highly recommended and I will be back!“
“This is a really interesting place with really interesting cuts of seafood and preparation. The place looks like another sushi place but it isn't; don't be fooled. The chefs are interesting and friendly. I'll definitely come back.“
“Good upscale style vegan Asian fusion restaurant, although portions could be bigger. If you want a big satisfying meal I wouldn’t recommend coming here.I do highly recommend the Japanese sweet potato and sushi (can’t remember which roll). I wouldn’t normally order vegan sushi but this was surprisingly delicious even though there was no fish, so definitely worth it! We also had the Singapore noodles but that was just alright, very light and not much vegetables.“
“We've been here almost 10 times in the past 6 months. The entire experience is truly excellent. All of the staff are fantastic — extremely kind and helpful. The food is 10/10 delicious — very fresh and perfectly garnished. We love the variety and differences in menu each time we come, and love how consistently excellent the food and service always is. This is a can't miss omakase.“
“Intimate setting made casual and pleasant by unique attention from the staff. You can see the chef at work from your table which is great. Only 6 seats in the restaurant but you really have your own intimacy. Great quality products made greater by the great vibes resonating in this restaurent. Highly highly recommend.“
“A warm and lovely staff serving fantastic choices with nicely less rice than many others, and the fish and accompanying ingredients shine as a result. We also paired with a dry sake that is my new go-to. The pace was a bit faster than I prefer but all else exquisite. There were two sizes of course-length and the smaller was sufficient for each of us, though just one more unagi would have been nice. Fantastic scallop, tunas and eel.“
“The taste is pretty good, just like an average sukiyaki pot. However, the rule that sukiyaki must be ordered for at least two portions is really unreasonable! And, I fell down at the door. Because the small steps at the door are easily overlooked! ! careful!“
“My partner and I go here as a regular. The shrimp spring rolls with the sauce is great. The inside service is always good. There music and conversation but usually not overly loud. The take out has been late on occasions which means more than an hour in this case. Other wise love it.“
“I would say the ambiance is great, I can see why people have date nights here. The service is decent. The food is okay. I came from queens to try the unagi don because I didn’t see any places that will give you a whole piece like this. The eel was hard to break apart I would say, like kinda rubbery? Not sure how to explain it. The sauce is as expected. There are a lot of reviews saying the food is oily and I would say those are pretty accurate (especially for yakiniku). There’s not that much rice. We don’t drink so we can’t really comment on that. Either way, our overall experience was okay and it’s sort of try it once type of place.“
“Attention truckers!! If you come from the south you will have to continue until Commerse Blvd to make a turn because it will be on the left and there is a wall dividing the two roads of different direction. Coming from the north make a right at the entrance of amazon until the end and there you will find the warehouse. At the exit, turn right onto Washington ave carefully from the left, space is tight.“
