“You definitely want to make a reservation if you want to not wait to be seated. This place fills fast. We went when the weather still had a bite in the air. We opted to sit outside in the covered heated patio. Which turned out to be a great place to sit. Highly recommend this. Our waiter recommended all our foods, which change with the seasons. The appetizer of the curry cauliflower was excellent. The triple garlic pork was so good, I could’ve had another bowl. My daughter really enjoyed the fried chicken. The chicken paitan comes with a raw egg that you break the yolk into the hot broth that creates the sauce. The ramen noodles are excellent. They fresh with a nice chew to them. It was my daughter boyfriend’s birthday and they brought to the table a slice of the yuzu cheesecake which was unlike any cheesecake we’ve ever tasted. (with a candle) the overall cost for five people with a glass of wine and a bottle of beer was about $119 w/o tip. Also you scan the code on the table to get the menu. Parking is not easy. ( NYC) if you can take the train, bus or Uber.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. The ambiance was nice and comfortable and the food was very delicious. I had the fried dumpling, calamari, salmon salad and a pina colada which were all very delicious. I also had the chocolate fried ice cream because they were out of the vanilla flavor and that was tasty. I felt that the portion size of the salad and fried ice cream was a bit small but they were both delicious. The service/hospitality was great as well. Our waitress kept checking in with our table and answered all of our questions regarding the menu.“
“Everyone in NYC raves about Tonchin, and it's definitely worth a try. It's super popular so make sure you make a reservation. The space itself is fairly large and comfortable. The Momo mocktail ($12) was sweet and refreshing. As for food, I went for the Tonchin Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu ($21). It was delicious, with a rich and savory broth and perfectly jammy egg. However, I have had better value elsewhere with more toppings, meat, etc.“
“Delicious ramen, one of the best in town. It was especially perfect for me as I don’t eat pork and it’s always hard to get a non-pork ramen. Here they have chicken, beef, veggies broths! Amazing! Japanese curry was also delicious. I’ll be coming back “
“I’ve been thinking about visiting here and I finally did it days ago. It didn’t meet my expectations, also slightly pricy, but some nice things.Ramen was good but average. One a slice of bamboo and a slice of pork, and over $20.Good part for me: the pork was well seasoned and cooked! Definitely the highlight of the whole bowl. And surprisingly, soup is clean, not oily. But overall, the taste was kinda dull, no layers for me.Soft serve was delicious, barley with beautiful honey taste. But it was a little bit watery and too soft, melted really fast.“
“3.8/5 stars My first time visited Kame on Saturday it was a bit busy so we had to wait in the line but only for 10-15 mins. I had Spicy Tonkotsu ramen(19$) the braised pork belly was super soft but the broth is just ok in my opinion the black garlic oil is too strong that I couldn't even drink the soup but I did like the noodles tho. I added onsen egg for (2$) and it was just ok to me because I think marinated boiled eggs would be better with the ramen. Noodles 3.7/5 Pork belly 4.5/5 Creamy broth 2.8/5 Onsen egg 3/5 Drink Plum lemonade 4.5/5 The food was good but this is just my personal taste buds. If I'm in the area I might come back but I wouldn't go out just to go there. P.S The ramen came with 2pcs of chashu but I ordered extra that's why it looks like it's a lot in my bowl“
“Best ramen i have had in nyc. The noodles are very fresh and homemade. The broths while mildvin flavor were not over powered by 5 spice common in other places. I love the ramen extras you csn get. The buns and app were just ok. Service was great! Very friendly.“
“The ambiance of the place, with cozy seating, set the stage for a delightful evening for aficionados of ramen. The ramen itself was a revelation: a steaming bowl brimming with uniquely rich, heartwarming broth, springy noodles, and an array of toppings that came together flawlessly.Prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a 5-star experience that I can't wait to repeat.“
“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“
“Nice calm place in West Village without all the pretentiousness. Although located sub level the place is spacious and well aired, in fact much better than many joints in Manhattan. The ramen was excellent, real tokyo style. Price was fair considering the big portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Not possible. Only stairs.“
“Mmm, so good. We were staying at the nearby Park Central Hotel and looking for a decent restaurant within a quick walk. This one cropped up with good reviews, so we figured we'd try it. Best meal of our week-long NYC trip! I got the Curry Ramen, which was fantastic, with perfectly crispy pork katsu and nicely springy ramen noodles. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their selections. I think one was the Kin Ramen (which I also got to finish, since it was too big for my daughter -- the chashu pork was excellent! The place has a hip and cozy atmosphere. Service is friendly and quick. An excellent place to satisfy your ramen craving!“
“It’s a must to stop by when we visit NYC…. Perfect for a chilly day or if you just want some bomb ramen! The host guy manages really well and is professional when speaking to the customers. Overall our favorite place for ramen and trust me… my wife is picky.“
“Wonderful food, great atmosphere, nice staff. We came in last week with a large group after a work party, and everything was perfect. Good options for vegetarians also. Thank you! 全部は美味しかった!ごちそうさまでした。“
“My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. Follow me on ig @chloenicholle for more nyc food reviews!“
“Our experience at NR, was mostly positive. The Japanese fried chicken appetizer left us underwhelmed, lacking that special touch. However, the chicken soup curry stole the show with its amazing taste and generous portion size, making it a preferable choice over the ramen.Speaking of ramen, while it wasn't bad, it didn't quite justify making a special trip here for it. There are other spots in the city that excel in ramen. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the ambiance had a charming speakeasy vibe, evoking the essence of old NYC.Overall, NR is a great spot to visit with a date or friends, offering a delightful experience with standout dishes like the chicken soup curry. However, if you're solely craving ramen, you might find better options elsewhere in the city.“
“cozy spot w decent ramen & good service. not too much seating but plenty of room when we came at 8pm on a sunday. nothing superrrrre special compared to other ramen places & i think would probably only come back if i was super cold or something(each ramen comes out to around $28 after tip amd tax)“
“Wow! The Tsukemen here is amazing! Definitely a Star ⭐️. If you like a fish based broth then this place is for you. You must order using phone to scan the QR code. And you must pay the bill that way. Slightly complicated if you’re a party of 2 or more. Bar/Counter seating only. Very tight and narrow space, which makes getting to the restroom difficult. Food is worth all the hassle. Reasonably priced. Electronic payment is mandatory. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Something for all dietary needsParking: Street parking fills up quicklyKid-friendliness: Not really for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Not“
“Another brilliant meal! I never miss the opportunity to eat here when I’m in NYC and I Love sharing this place with people I know. An exceptional menu, great cocktails, amazing and attentive service and always a delightful culinary experience. Bravo!“
“I’m on my business trip from Japan and looking ramen restaurant near my hotel in Soho, I found this restaurant! They have various Japanese menu like sushi, katsu don and of course ramen. I really like the Shio(Salty) Ramen with light chicken&salmon broth-they told this is their new lunch menu. Definitely will be back because would like to try other menus!“

“Okonomi holds such a special spot in my heart. Serving authentic Japanese breakfast sets in a cozy, quaint setting, the food is even more comforting. The service was great, as was the food. The fish was cooked perfectly and the side vegetables/miso soup was delicious. I just love everything about Okonomi and can't wait to go back!“
“Searched the web looking for oyster and came across this place! I came as a solo during happy hour & sat at the bar … oysters were 1.75$ , clean, fresh and yummyDrink was pretty pricey (17$) but definitely worth the try, the aroma and craft of the drink was appreciated. I had “the smoke”.Also tried the shrimp bun , soooo soft it almost melted in my mouth ! Food was AMAZING! I would visit again!“
“Tiny cozy place for ramen. Had full ramen bar and maybe 4-5 tables. They serve asahi on tap and offer chu-hi. Ramen broth was mostly chicken based but had a high content of garlicky and salt flavor. You can choose thin or wavy noodles. I would say save yourself from gyoza. I found them crispy but lacking flavor and juiciness when you take that first bite. Over all satisfying and around 20 bucks a bowl.“
“Surprised to find and enjoy such great food . The restaurant is very small, more for takeout than dine in. It is immaculate, bright and the service is great. Beautifully packaged and delicious! A must try!! Next time we need to try the bubble tea...“
“Whether one is a novice or ramen aficionado, the Tomato Beef Stew Noodle is a good soup to try. The entree was reminiscent of a beef sinigang albeit without the tamarind. The boneless meat just melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was warm and so was the service. There is also a kiosk available near the door of one wishes to order takeout.“
“The atmosphere was spot on--nice choice of music, and the dining was cozy but not squishy. Service was prompt, and they refilled our water jar well in advance. Our order was taken promptly, and the check on the back end came quickly, too.“
“Absolutely wonderful bowl of ramen. I had the New Tokyo ramen and the broth was perfectly layered with flavor. It's not as clean as something like Tsutas, but very enjoyable in its own way. The only thing I can knock is the chicken, which was a tad dry.“
“We visited E.A.K. Ramen and were blown away at how wonderful our experience was. The service, food, and atmosphere were everything we were looking for. We recently visited Chicago and had ramen, which set the bar high. E.A.K. Ramen met our expectations and beyond. You can truly taste the love their team puts into preparing food. Our server even went out of her way to mix me a mocktail that ended up tasting better than the drink I originally had in mind. We will absolutely visit E.A.K. again. Thank you all for such wonderful service.“
“Suram is one of my best kept secrets in Hudson Yards, but I'm no longer gatekeeping! Setting: Centered near the Hudson Yards Shops and the Vessel, Suram features a dimly lit ambiance with tones of black, silver, and gold. Service: Kind waitstaff and the food came out at an expected pace for a sushi/ramen spot. Food: I got the sake don (salmon bowl - $29) and the spicy avocado crunch roll ($10). Both were at a great value, especially for the location and the flavor. Can't wait to return!“
“Pretty big Ramen ? restaurant. Nice staff and good food. Reasonably priced. Credit cards ? are accepted. The spicy ?️ Ramen was the Star ⭐️. Extra Noodle option is a great idea ?. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Something for all dietary needsParking: Street parking fills up quicklyKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Not when accessible“
“If your looking for a authentic and cute atmosphere go to shinjuku ramen it has exceptional food. The staff is welcoming and professional. For starters the gyoza was yummy, perfectly prepared but the mains were exceptional, the shoyu king ramen was the best ramen we ever had and the eel and rice dish was also really good in flavor and the eel was done perfectly also the miso king ramen was very flavorful ,the miso flavor was exquisite . If your looking for a delicious place to eat around 60th and 5th you should definitely go to shinjuku ramen.Beware ,other ramens will be inferior after you have theirs.“
“Fast , efficient and excellent service. The best ramen in financial district have to hit up this space every time I visit NYC .Vegetarian options: Vegetarian miso ramen with plenty of veggies and tofu.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves this place and always ask to come here to eat when we are in town.“
“Whoever said this place is a hidden gem was right. I went early to avoid the happy hour rush. That said you get a discount from 4-7pm so if you’re not picky on seating that’s when I recommend paying a visit. Attached is the photos of what I ordered.“
“Went there for lunch with four others. Wr call the Donburi but different types. The apps were the usual Edamame (can't mess this up) and some tasty pan fried Gyoza. We all enjoyed our Donburi and finished them but I thought it was kind of bland so really 3.5 on the food.“
“Nestled in NYC's Upper East Side, Me Jin Ramen delivered authentic Japanese flavors. The cozy ambiance and welcoming staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. I had the Meijin Miso Ramen and ate the whole thing. The broth, simmered to perfection, harmonizes with the chewy, house-made noodles and exquisite toppings like tender beef, bean sprouts, green onions and sweet corn. As a local, I treasure Meijin Ramen for its consistently exceptional quality and comforting atmosphere. For a taste of Japan in the heart of NYC, Meijin Ramen is an absolute must-visit.“
“I used to live in the area ; was up visiting family and I stumbled on this place by way of an IG reel so I figured I would give it a try because (a)-it was the Friday that NJ experienced a 4.8 earthquake and I most certainly didn't think I was in the right headspace to do any cooking and (b)-this place was literally 1 mile away from my mother's house so I figured I'd pay the extra overhead and have it delivered because it was so close.Let's get the con out of the way; despite me putting my address in and stating where I lived the food was never delivered. I received prompt notifications on my phone about it being almost ready & that it was on its way..but I literally was standing in front of the single family residence and received a text that my food was delivered but it wasn't. Not the best first impression..When I called the establishment Chelf Salty communicated his dismay and stated he would remake my order for in person pick-up; I appreciated his effort to make this right so I agreed.I'm glad I did.I ordered the spicy miso ramen, the tori katsu ramen, and the stamina ramen (was sharing with mom). The spicy miso ramen has a nice kick, the ramen noodles have a good chew and the pork confit was silky. Katsu ramen and stamina ramen though brothless had great balance of flavor between the amazingly dressed noodles (again nice kick in heat/flavor that wasn't blindingly spicy), perfect jammy eggs and the the chicken katsu was DIVINE..perfectly crisp..juicy..and again..great balance of flavor in the chicken. If you don't feel like getting in your car to drive to a ramen place and just want to tuck into some yummy ramen at home do give this place a try..I'm glad I did. Is it the best ramen I have ever had in my life? No..but I think it holds its own with the other ramen places in Essex county and again..I think it's a great option for the peeps that live in Nutley/Belleville area that just want to tuck into some good comfort food that isn't pizza or mexican-give it a shot!“
“If you're a sushi/special roll lover, you must give this place a try. The food decoration is so beautiful that just looking at it is a pleasure, and it melts in your mouth before you even take a bite. You can feel how sincerely the chef made it. I highly recommend it for any occasion, from small group gatherings to large parties!“
“Blown away like a torpedo out of the water ? ?Michelin star quality BROTH with beef bone marrow. ??Ramen was good but the broth, oh the broth, no words …. I grew up here and ate pretty much at all the Asian hot spots from Mott St to cheap eats on Christie St. I wouldn’t have to pay more than $3.50 - $12 for a bowl of noodles. So $21 for this beef bone marrow ramen aka GYUKOTSU is damn excessive but rightly justified. I waited 15 minutes and well worth it ??I can devour this for lunch 7 days straight ?First time here and I sat at the beer garden mistakenly. A more chill & laid back Japan setting is a quick walk up the steps.2 establishments sharing 2 types of cuisine ✅✅“
“There's something special about enjoying a steaming bowl of ramen on a chilly day. The warmth and comfort it provides can be truly satisfying. If you're looking for a place to enjoy this delicious dish, consider visiting Hide-Chan Ramen. Their ramen is not only delicious but also the perfect way to warm up on a cold day.“
“Absolutely fantastic sushi. Amazing quality and out of this world flavor. Staff was so friendly. I showed up exactly at open and they were so happy and accommodating. I usually find showing up at open is a visible nightmare for servers. This is my new favorite spot for sushi. And it’s very quick.“
“Amazing food, awesome staff. Stopped here on the way to Billy's Midway (which is also an amazing place) for some dinner with a friend. We were both amazed by the quality of the food, and how nice the staff was. We will definitely be back when in the area.“
“small ramen with big flavors. I enjoyed everything from the chill atmosphere to amazing food. the blend of Peruvian cuisine with traditional Japanese dishes is a match made in foodie heaven. I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. I highly recommend going there and finding out on your own...“
“This is my favourite restaurant in New York. The service is amazing. I could have this for breakfast, lunch and dinner for my whole life. The owner gave me a free drink.I recommend this place because The food is amazing. Everyone is so nice. It makes my life so good. We had the pork Ramen, amazing , we also had the spicy chicken that was so flavourful and and the salmon poke bowl that so fresh,it tasted like heaven.Review by Rawly (12)“
“We came by for lunch at about 2pm on a Thursday. The chicken ramen has quite a strong flavour which is great, the portion is decent and the egg is very umami and so good. The only downside is there’s no spicy options available so you have to add on the spicy condiments on the side. The sauerkraut pepper doesn’t look much but it’s a spice (and flavour) bomb, yum!Service is great, the honeycomb seats are cosy and has lots of privacy for conversations. What a great lunch, we’ll be back!“
“Just got back from Tokyo and already missed the Ramen. Karakatta did an amazing job to fill the Ramen void in my life. I tend the keep the ? on the lighter side these days. Level 2 was just enough. Fantastico broth. Service was amazing, even as they were closing.I'll BE BACK ! ?“
“Freshest poke bowl around!! We went here for the first time after hearing great things and loved it. The fish and toppings were extremely fresh, more than most places we’ve been to in the area. We ordered the Salmon Lover bowl and made our own both were great! Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.“
“The food and service were excellent. Appetizers were great, including the Chicken Karaage (Bites) and Squid Skewer. Beef Gyoza was tasty as well. We had 3 different types of ramen, and all were delicious. The seafood ramen was good and hearty, and the pork broth was great. The pork cutlet was really good quality, meaty and soft. The service was very nice, helpful and friendly. Overall, a great experience and we'll definitely be back.“
“RATING: 7.1/10 My friend who goes here regularly told me that if I was in Greenpoint I should check it out - while it's not necessarily a destination spot, it is surprisingly good for being "just a neighborhood spot." Since I was spending all day eatin gin Greenpoint anyway, I decided to give it a shot CLASSIC SHOYU Ok, so I will say that that yes the broth is better than you might expect from a regular ramen place but not quite meeting standards of "you GOT to come to greenpoint to try this place." However, if you live here or in a neighboring area, DO order out when want ramen. The noodles though are really great quality and have a perfect chew, with wavy shape which is my preference. The meat is nice and salty. If I'm back in the neighborhood, I would definitely come back!“
“Finally, I have found a ramen shop in NYC that matches Tonchin. I'm surprised this place wasn't that busy on a Saturday night (and surprised it only had 800 reviews on Google). The XO Miso Ramen had a super savory broth and (somehow) savory vegetables. They cooked and infused some flavoring into the vegetables before adding it to the bowl (they could have served the veggies as a dish themselves). They tasted way better than the usual, almost raw veggies that get added to ramen. In addition, the way they reduced the XO sauce into the soy meat blew me away: incredible flavoring by itself, even better with the broth and veggies. The truffle miso ramen was good but not as tasty as the XO Miso ramen. This one had a very mushroom-heavy broth, and the vegetables took the liberty to coat themselves with the truffle oil that was added, so the broth itself didn't get that taste (rather then veggies did).I like my noodles firm but they were cooked too firm here (not raw, just barely cooked), so you may want to request softer noodles. In addition, the chili oil is actually seriously spicy, be careful!“
“Sorry for the lack of photos for the review. This is my second time here and let me say it was better than the first time, the potato corn dog got bigger??!! Wings were fantastic and the tteokbokki was chewy and spicy. Please keep up the consistency for which koreans are amazing for.“
