“This is one of my top choices for NYC style slices of pizza. I had the Tarftu and the L’Industrie slices. They were delicious despite the fact I eat them when they got cold. “Amazing dinner experience for valentine's day. It was packed when we arrived but were promptly seated as we had a reservation. We had the prix fixed menu which consisted of 3 courses. The apps were amazing and almost stole the show before entrees arrived. We were so taken aback how great they were and couldn't stop raving about ever so tender and flavorful octopus and Cavatelli duck ragu. For entrees, we chose duck breast and the American wagyu steak cooked properly to medium and medium rare and had amazing tenderness and flavors with a beautiful presentation as well.Only minor gripes were the cocktails we had ordered were a tad too sweet and fruity for our enjoyment and we had to switch it up to something off their menu and classics which they accommodated gladly. Service was attentive although it was a hectic night for v day. The desserts could improve and didn't live up to par like the apps and entrees. Flourless chocolate cake was rather dry but Panna cotta was beautifully presented and scrumptious. Overall it was definitely worthy of a former 1 michellin star restaurant experience in my heart. Wish them the best of luck to getting back their hard earned michellin star.“

“Delicious food and great atmosphere! After a long day of running around it was so nice to sit down and have a great meal where everyone around you is having a fun time! We started out with the Scallion Pancake and Vegetable Dumplings. I don't eat Scallion Pancakes very often because most places don't make it very well. Joe's Pancake was perfection! Cooked just right with layers of flavors. The Dumplings were light and fresh. For our main course we had Chicken with Broccoli and Sauteed Crystal Shrimp. Both were delicious and very generous portions. It was the first time I had had the Crystal Shrimp and I couldn't stop eating them. The Staff was very nice and we felt very well attended to but not overly so. We are really looking forward to returning so we can try some dishes that we have never had before.“

“Best experience!! We had a private event at American Brass in January for about 20 people. Everything was perfect! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the food was delicious! We loved the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our menu included a champagne toast, appetizers, their amazing focaccia bread, steak frites, the polenta, passed desserts, and a cake. They were also able to accommodate a vegetarian option. It was all so good!! Everyone really loved their food, as well as drinks at the bar afterwards! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Tegwyth, American Brass’s Events Manager, was so thoughtful and instrumental to planning our event! She worked closely with us for months leading up to the party and had great suggestions. Ellen, American Brass’s Executive Pastry Chef, made us the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone was raving about the cake! Juan, our server, was also phenomenal and went above and beyond. The restaurant is directly across from the Gantry Park Piers, great for photos. Everything was beautiful and polished. It felt fancy and well put together. Highly recommend American Brass and their team for small weddings and events! Thank you again!“

I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. “I went here multiple times a week (2021-23 before rent pushed me out of nyc). I studied while my Velcro dog played or found a temp other Velcro human who missed their childhood dog. Coppy was just about always there and knew ALL the dogs. Zoë loved their treats and loved their human food (she’s spoiled) as much as I did/do. This place is one of a kind. After the first 5-10 minutes had passed, I asked several staff when I’d be waited on, and nobody waited on me. I watched people come in *after* me get waited on, as I continued to be ignored. They did manage to take the extra chair and place setting away from my table, just to remind me I was dining alone (which was tough, since I’m recently widowed and dining alone is difficult enough as it is) - I asked each time who was my server and they looked around and left. I saw someone who looked like a manager walking around, and every so often she looked at me, so I know she knew I was there. How didn’t she notice the menu still sitting on the table? I left because I needed to get going on my day and don’t have all morning to sit and watch wait staff wait on everyone except me - room service was an option. I went back to my room and ordered room service instead, which came relatively quickly, but with missing items (no brown sugar, no regular sugar for my coffee, just fake sweeteners, and a very small container of maple syrup after I had asked for extra (since my kid didn’t want the rum anglaise) - came with a tiny bit in a small creamer container. I called down for more maple syrup (French toast is dry without it), and they said they’d send some to my room. Never. came. The food is great, but the service was non-existent for me in the restaurant, and very poor when needed to fix missing room service items. $21 for French toast should come with better follow up when the restaurant makes a mistake and needs to send more syrup as requested. My $14 oatmeal was bland without any brown sugar. My $7 pot of coffee tasted off with just fake sugar available. Very disappointing experience. I gave three stars since the food is prepared well. This isn’t a kitchen problem, it’s a customer service failure. I can’t remember the last time I was somewhere with service this bad, so I felt compelled to give feedback.“

I went with friends but it would also be a great first date spots with only 30 seats (plus another 8 at the bar) - started with the Kanom Jeeb Pak and Kanom Jeeb dumplings which were both delicious and my friends and I shared the rib eye which was unbelievably flavorful and cooked to perfection along with the pad thai (which they made veggie for my friend who doesn’t eat meat) and the pad see ew. The desserts can’t be missed (we tried all three) and the service was standout.
