“The food is definitely excellent. Not expensive (the portions are decidedly generous) but cooked really well. The small place is rather dirty but when dining in China Town it is something that must be taken into account. The place is much loved by locals and New Yorkers, we also had a great time so I recommend it. Of all the nice ones I think the best were chicken and duck.“
“Tasty dim sum, a compromise towards flavor and price over ambiance and excellence. Everything was well prepared, and had a good flavor; yet nothing was outstanding. The self service ordering system is convenient, and the pictures are useful. It loses some of the charm of push carts and nagging waiters. The ambiance is sterile and the sitting seating space is of average comfort“
“The noodle is very good. Love the combo which comes with Wonton noodle soup, Portuguese Tart, and a a lemon iced tea. There is not much service. It is like a canteen hall. You buy and bring your food to a seating area. They keep the service fast, and the place clean.Overall, a wonderful place to have a quick warm hearty meal!“
“It was a Sunday early evening and we didn't know where to go. We wanted to try a new place out and wandered here. We've wanted to try this place and decided that day we would try it out.Everything was good! From the drinks, to the food and the ambience. Good vibes all around.(Seen Photos section for pictures)“
“The place is bigger inside than the look you see from the outside. It is clean and nice. We ordered Peking duck which was tender and delicious. Dim sum was great too. The only thing that we didn't like is egg drop soup which is too thick and bland for us. The service is ok, not attentive, just need to wave for attention. The only beer they have is Tsing-tao.“
“I ordered the soup dumplings, egg custard and congee. Everything was so amazing - some of the best dim sum I’ve had and at a great price. It came out super fast too. ??? definitely trying to get my friends to come here next time with me! Also the people here are “
“I gave this an energetic for noise because we were making all the noise. Good time had by group of long time friends enjoying an amazing dim sum lunch. Service was friendly, food was above average, menu was a bit smaller than most Chinatown dim sum menus but no one was lacking for something to eat. A delicious fun time had by all. We will be back.“
“Obsessed with Bonnie’s it had such unique takes on Cantonese classics and each dish was excellent. The atmosphere is modern and fresh - would be cute for a birthday or night out with friends/family. Everyone working there is super nice and personable - great service. Great cocktails too!“
“Extremely authentic Cantonese noodle shop. The noodles were very fresh and almost crunchy. Soup base was good, and the shrimp dumplings were huge and tender. Service was friendly and when they found out we were from out of town, they recommended lots of fan favorites and even showed us their frozen menu to cook at home (we couldn't bring them with us, but would be a great option for locals).“
“Tasty , but don't go alone ! Portions are HUUUGE. I Guess they call it " family style" servings. If you order a soup, meal and rice , you get a huge bowl and 2 huge plates ... basically enough to feed 3 people ??? .....or just be prepared to take most of it home and have another 2 meals. So , by the quantity you get ,I guess it's worth it. 80-100$ dinner.Parking: Nightmare to park in Manhattan.....“
“This restaurant tool me by surprise. It is not like a typical restaurant around China town. The space was modern very clean airy and tables were spaced apart. The young staffs were friendly and service was quick. The chang fens were not like traditional chang fens. It had the freshly made thin rice paper filled with lots of fillings. The portion was generous. The congee was served in a huge bowl and tasty. The Hong Kong milk tea was strong and authentic. We loved food and service.“
“I’m almost confused as to why there is such an authentic Cantonese spot that opened up in this location. Servers are all Cantonese. It’s as if they pulled the staff and the entire restaurant and just opened it on the uws. With that said, servers will be yelling to each other ? Been here twice now. Love the clay pot rice. And also the dining atmosphere is very nice, especially for a Cantonese restaurant. Good lighting, nice decor.“
“This has been my favorite rice roll place for over a year. I usually get a pork rice roll and herbal jelly. There is a much longer line since they got more popular though. Still fairly quick, and reasonably priced. I can only go when my school has a half day, because they close very early (by my standards). Definitely recommend!“
“Food 9/10Gas deal. Crazy that I paid like 10 bucks for a massive plate of pork, duck, and chicken with veggies all over rice. Could not finish it but ate as much as I could and it was so so so worth it. Would definitely return to try their wonton soup next time. Easy place to go when you’re hungry and also have plenty of space for individual diners. Their hot tea was also very nice.Atmosphere 7/10Standard and simple cheap eats restaurant vibes.Service 10/10Great service. Bro was a g gave me an extra refill of the tea I very much appreciate!!“
“The BeiJing duck was well spiced and sliced. While the staff provided supplementary vegetables and wraps whenever we ran out, the wraps were quite thin and often stuck to each other, making the experience difficult. The lamb hot pot was quite spicy as it had claimed to be. I enjoyed the various cuts. The basket of vegetables were a nice pairing.“
“Looking for dim sum & then some - very large pieces & flavorful. No dipping sauce though? What do I know about authentic Asian food. My lovely server brought me some soy sauce. Tried the beef & mango and it was ok. Nice little touches with tea, peanuts & sliced fresh fruit after the meal. Very attentive service. Overall nice experience in Flushing.“
“I visited Dim Sum Palace and was completely satisfied! A large selection of dim sum provided an unforgettable culinary experience, and every bite was simply incredible. The service was top notch and the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the coziness. I will definitely come back here again!“
“I won’t say it is a bad Chinese restaurant. Actually it is one of the best Chinese restaurants in NYC, offering some dishes which you cant find somewhere else. But it is just a Chinese restaurant. You can’t compare it with those in China, either for food or for service. Its service is somewhat better than its Chinatown peers, worth perhaps tips of about 10%.“
“We got a reservation for 9 people on a Sunday morning at this location of Dim Sum Palace and it was a nice way to spend time with family. The restaurant isnt very big but there's enough room for two large tables and a decent number of tables for 2 and 4. We ordered around 20 different items and the standouts were the shrimp rice rolls, soup dumplings, beef chow fun, and stir fried turnip cake. The service was generally good but three items never arrived at our table and we had to let the staff know; the food arrived at the end when we were almost at max capacity. All in all Dim Sum Palace is a more relaxing and approachable alternative to venturing to the large dim sum places Chinatown or Flushing.“
“This place was great. I took my mom there and she ordered beef with onions and scallions with an order of pork fried rice. The portions were huge and shareable. I had their brisket soup! It was so delicious! My mom loved her food and so did I! Person serving us was super nice and place was very clean. Great prices too! I want to take my husband and kids soon.“
“They have the most authentic Korean japchae and kimchi I’ve ever had :) totally reminds me the good old times :) and most importantly everything is vegan :) I was shocking that I haven’t been here in a while the Malaysian manager move back “
“I really enjoyed the sour pickle fish and sweet and sour pork here. There’s also something for everyone, my mom’s vegetarian and we got the cauliflower dish for her and it was very flavorful. For dessert we topped it off with their bing feng and it was really refreshing. The service was also very fast and accommodating!“
“The first time I ever tried steamed rice rolls was here and I stop by when I’m in the area. My fav is the shrimp party roll. The beef and pork roll are also delicious. Add soy and chili to enjoy fully! You can order from the window, the old-fashioned way or wait on the absurdly long kiosk line like apparently everyone was doing today when I arrived. I find it fascinating how our society would rather order from a screen than a human being.Make sure you ask for soy sauce and chili oil if you’re picking up bc they won’t put it in the bag otherwise.“
“Bring your own wine on Wednesdays and there is no uncorking fee! My friends and I split a bunch of food and it came out to about $30/each (amazing!)There are lots of birthday celebrations here, I’d love to come to celebrate me or a friend’s birthday. They do sing to you so just be prepared! They do put a candle in a pig’s head or crab… you probably need to order one / coordinate beforehand.“
“Amazing food, awesome atmosphere, a must try if you are in the East Village area. The people who work there are really kind and take great care of you while you're there. I would definitely recommend the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and Signature claypot!“
“Quick dinner! I got the shrimp dumplings with a count of 4. The shrimp dumplings were very juicy and good! For my main entree I got the low mein with pork. The pork was not good and not cooked very much long. It had many way too fatty pieces. Otherwise the restaurant is a 7/10. So it is average. There could be better restaurants than this.“
“Excellent food. Really good prices (paid 60 for 2 with appetizer and beers).Atmosphere a bit noisy and the music unnecessary. Service was a bit rushed. But I would absolutely come back.PS: they blackmail you to leave a 5-star review by giving away free soy-milk drinks.“
“This place was great! The food was delicious and the service was very good. We tried some recommendations from our wait staff and were not disappointed. Not very crowded at all, and staffing was very helpful. There is a parking garage across the street which is very convenient. The bathrooms are clean, but they could use some updating and maybe better placement as they are in the basement.“
“Nothing short of incredible! This is the best Pecking duck in Manhattan, maybe in the world. We come for the food and stay for the service - the service team is incredible and the management team is our favorite in NYC! They always go above and beyond to make us feel like family :)“
“Amazing, great quality dim sum that is surpassed by none. If you have the funds or the luck to try this place, I recommend to do so immediately. From the perfect crunchiness of the spring rolls to the rich creamy texture of the fried milk sticks, the flavors are second to none.“
“Delicious and good price. I could smell the meat from outside and that’s what attracted me in.You get half a roasted duck 烧鸭 for 16 and a large amount of char siu 叉烧 meat for only 12 a pound. Rice is 1.5. Both were delicious.Service was very quick too, I ordered and in a couple of seconds I was walking out.“
“It's a hidden gem late night Chinese restaurant. I always order spicy beef sautéed with peppers. It's really tasty and beef also tender and really recommend if you can handle spicy. Also Chinese lady who service us she's really friendly and always remembers what my favorite dishes. There's many rooms for large groups or 1 person which is really big restaurant and i like how they write their menus in Chinese letters even I don't understand but no worries they have English menus as well.“
“If you are in the area check this place out. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. The food was on point. We had the pork soup dumpling, scallion pancakes, and Peking duck buns. All of it was fantastic. I can't wait to go back.“

“Don't expect to long of a wait, or anywhere to sit. The place is small, but packs a powerful punch with every rice roll that you order. I would say order 1 - 2 of everything on the menu. They are excellent, and so light so you won't feel full. The staff is also super friendly singing in the kitchen, and bringing out orders every few minutes to everyone waiting in the shop.“
“I loved my lunch here with friends. We were seated quickly even though it was mid-day on a Saturday, and the staff were so kind and accommodating to/with my 1 year old daughter. The food was tasty, decent prices, and overall a very nice experience. I LOVED the HK milk tea!“
“Welcome to Yao, where Cantonese cuisine gets a modern makeover and your taste buds embark on a Harold and Kumar flavor adventure. The decor is prettier than the Met on a first date, and your wallet will likely hate you at the end of the night, but at least you're in for a truly sumptuous meal. Let me take you on a culinary rollercoaster through some of their best dishes: - Marinated Jellyfish with Sesame: My litmus test for most Canto spots. Nothing wrong with Yao's, except that it's too small. - Grilled Berkshire Pork: Presentation much? This dish was meant to be 'grammed. Imagine pork so succulent it's like biting into a cloud of happiness. Char siu never looked so sexy. - Traditional Chinese Salt-Baked Free-Range Chicken: If chickens had a spa day, this is what they'd look like after. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, this chicken is so good, it's probably the reason why the phrase "winner winner chicken dinner" was coined. - Fresh Whole Sea Perch with Bones with Dried Tangerine Peel and Douchi: Dive into a sea of flavors with this dish! Plus, picking through those delicate bones feels like a culinary treasure hunt. - Mapo Tofu with Lobster: I hate how much I loved this. Silky tofu meets crunchy lobster in an actually spicy sauce that doesn't skimp on flavor. $68 is painful, but it hurts more not trying this. - Beef Brisket with Turnip in Clear Broth: Like a warm hug on a cold day. The beef melts in your mouth, and the broth tastes like Fri evenings with mom. - Snow Pea Leaves with Chanterelle: Crisp, vibrant snow pea leaves paired with earthy chanterelle mushrooms--it's a green dream come true! - Stir-Fried String Bean with Minced Pork and Kale Borecole: A classic for a reason, and Yao's is generous. - Fried Rice with Scallops and XO Sauce: Flavorful and perfectly cooked. - Fried Rice with Diced Angus Short Rib: Also flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'm not sure which fried rice was my favorite, TBH. - Pumpkin Cake: Yes, we desserted. This cake oozed sweet egg yolk that made me want to cry, it was so tasty. - Sesame Ball with Red Bean Paste: Another classic for a reason. You get five balls in this order, so it's perfect for sharing. Not too oily either. - Custard Pastry in a Swan Shape: Get this just for the 'gram. But also, it's actually quite crispy and delightful. Fly, my pretties, fly right into my mouth! - Portuguese Egg Custard Tart: Yao's best dish, bar none, and quite possibly the best egg tart in all of NYC. Made fresh every day and already their most popular dessert. My Macanese grandma would not only have approved, she would've ordered 12 more to take home. I didn't want to love Yao because, let's face it, "elevated" Chinese food almost always subs presentation for flavor, but Yao managed to avoid that for the most part while providing a gorgeously modern dining experience.“
“Got the eggplant dish and a bowl of rice, and it was fantastic! There was no wait on a Friday night at 7pm for two. Food came out quick and it was plenty for me and my friend. We had a Broadway show to catch and it worked out well since it’s close to Times Square. All the staff are very friendly and can provide good recommendations as well. There are plenty of vegetarian options. There is one bathroom.“
“Great food eat in or take out. But scarce table space make reservations a must. Sometimes you have to order the food in advance too cuz they could run out. The health grade is C. It it doesn't deter fans from going. Hasn't stopped me and haven't gotten sick yet. Lol“
“I enjoyed my meal here after a long day of business meetings. I was by myself though, and it seemed like the restaurant was more accomodating to parties of two or more. At any rate, the food came to my table piping hot, and my mixed cocktail was wonderful. This was right across the street from my hotel, so easy access and then head to my overnight stay. Beef and vegetables were quite good.“
“Chinese restaurant in Greenwich Village a stone's throw from the subway station and Union Square. Excellent friendly and efficient service in a modern environment with soft lighting, fresh and clean. Tasty, abundant, spicy and some very spicy dishes. It's worth a pleasant and relaxing dinner. Prices in line with restaurants in the category.N.B.: Here too, as in all the clubs in New York, you will be accompanied by an imaginary friend to whom you will have to pay the bill (I mean the additional cost of service and tip)... to level the playing field we should start charging tourists for this tax Americans in Italy.“
“We stopped by for lunch and ended up getting some roast pork and chicken. The meat was good and juicy, and it was also a bigger portion size than the place up the block that all the tourists waited in a long line for. Seating is available and cash only.“
“Love, Love, Love this place been going for many years (at least 25) foods is consistently delicious, our favorite is Fried Whole Flounder with ginger sauce , Duck feet with pepper, Squid with black pepper Peking Pork chops (side sauce) stirred fried snow peas tips (Don't miss) It's get very busy on weekends so go early“
“Have been here about 5 or 6 times and have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing fresh and comes out quick. Love going during happy hour having some drinks and food and the portions are nice size. I recommend trying the house fried rice.“
“Walking up from the subway to this place made me so exhausted. Didn’t realise it has two tables only. Someone gave us her seat so I can recover. French toast is really Hong Kong style. The milk tea is better than a few other places that we have tried. I will try the rice dishes in the future.“
“Juan was our bartender and server and delivered exceptional service!! Very attentive and sweet. The ambiance of the place is lovely , right next to our hotel. We already ate dinner so had some light snacks here and a couple of beers and a cocktail. When my cocktail was a little too sweet , he added a little whisky to balance the taste. Cold and windy night in New York on ling island but a little visit here was a good night cap!“
“If you know, you know.Cash only, reasonable prices, bring your friends and family - great thing is they can take reservations for large groups, give them a call ahead of time.Crab - uh, yes. Fried flounder - heck yes (one of my favs here) Obvi the fried pork chops - that will bring joy to the pickiest eaters. We got the snails too, this is a great beer snack. Don’t forget your veggies! And don’t just order “safe”!Loved my fortune so I’m posting for y’all.“
“Great place nearby for Chinese bbq! The food has been consistently good. I like to come here for brunch congee and roast meats over rice. Every time I've dined in, the food has been delicious. One time I got an order of roast pork to go and didn't like it as much but feel like that was a one off. The service has been good for us. It's also been the same gentleman that has waited our table and he's always been helpful and nice.“
“Nice service and we love the food here. We got pot stickers (fried dumplings with pork), stir fried noodles (house special), Peking duck (the pancake was the only thing we didn’t like - they used tortilla instead of the paper thin pancakes for traditional Peking duck), and moo shu pork (also comes with pancakes). Service was great and the view was fantastic! We will try going here in the summer and try their patio facing the beautiful New York skylines.
