“Food quality is good for sure. Nice place for quiet dining. But the food portions are very small and it means you have to pay a premium per person. But given the difficulty in finding the parking around, very high parking cost for parking garage, overall price for the taste, I think it is overpriced restaurant for its overall value.”
“Chef Andy served some of the freshest sushi that keeps me coming bak even 2 weeks. you no longe have to go to NYC to get great omakase. the boton ebi is the bomb!!!”

“Great food and atmosphere. Great French menu plus excellent cocktail drinks. Really top notch restaurant. One of my favorite places to eat in Hoboken.
Small area of improvement: It would be better if you did not turn off the lights to sing happy birthday. We went on a night where there were several birthday dinners, and it was a bit annoying for other guests to turn all the lights off.”
“FIRST OF ALL this came highly recommended by a friend of mine and now I highly recommend it.
The Tamarind Margarita is remarkable and as a Private Chef , I mean that! The tikka masala with Lamb met me with satisfaction I have not experienced before BECAUSE every piece of lamb was tender and cooked with care not to mention THAT SAUCE!!!!! hits different and worth swallowing. The basmati rice not a favorite of mine because too “Shelly” BUT THIS BASMATI surprised me with Ever so moist plump grains worth eating. Try the fried momos - just lovely!
Last but not least, the rasmalai is the creamiest river of Indian ambrosia from the deities I swear!
I left out 1 star because of the scan method which is a bother to me but that’s just me. Other than that fly trough the holland tunnel as soon as you can to EMPYREAN INDIAN KITCHEN- is a must!

“You can have a good time here if you accept the place for what it is.
A decent bar near a college.
The vibes have been frat bro and adults who still think they’re in frats each time I’ve been.
That being said, staffs always been nice and it does have a good social atmosphere where you can meet people / make new friends if you want.
Would recommend giving it a try and seeing if it’s for you.”

They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. “Now this is what you call Quality Pizza! Not my number one but it's damn close. Would like the slices just a tiny bit thicker. Tomato slices were phenomenal where the tomato sauce was but dry every where else. Still, with that crunchy crust and great flavor... Great job guys. I'll definitely be back to try a bigger variety of your slices. So far, my favorite pizza in Hoboken. But the search will continue.”
“Dear Maud is my go-to brunch spot in Hoboken! The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and cool, making it an ideal place to eat + chat with friends. Their drinks are solid, and the food is even better, with a great selection of dishes to choose from.”

“I’ve always really loved this place. The cacio y pepe, scallops and pork chop parm prob fave dishes. Had a weird obsession with their kale Caesar where I ate it every day for like 2 months.”
“Took my husband here for his 64th birthday dinner on a recommendation and was not disappointed! This gem checked all the boxes in my book! We will definitely be coming back!! Thanks to the great bartender and the owners who went out of there way to make sure everything a that Carlos had an amazing experience!”

“We went for the first time this week end for a family dinner. The moment we entered the restaurant, we knew it would be a great night. Food was as awesome as the staff and the ambiance. A place you agreed to come back very soon. Voila!
Parking: Easy public parking located in Trader Joe’s building”
“This is such a lovely place with a warm, friendly ambience. I brought my son here on Christmas Eve, and we had a lovely time. The chocolate martinis are amazing and the wine list is very good. We started with perfectly chilled and delicious oysters and then enjoyed aranciata with crab and a lovely lobster pasta dish. The vibe is inviting for families with young children as well and there is also a nice bar for adults only. This is a great place that I will return to soon !”
“A very nice place to check out if you’re into mediterranean cuisine! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious food. But if you’re someone who enjoys good service like me then this is not the place. after being sat down for 15 mins the server gave the menu. After reminding 3 times, we finally got water which was bottled and we were not told about I assumed they would bring tap water and on top of that they will randomly put 15% or 18% tip irrespective of party size. Waiting for menu for 15 mins and then waiting for water not sure what kind of service one is getting and to top it off getting the drinks ordered post meal! Again if you’re a foody then this a good place to try but not for the service.”
“The most amazing place and food and the owners are the sweetest people ever. We have gone to eat there and also caterer our grad party food was absolutely amazing. People are raving about it. The homemade burrata no words to explain the mouth watering deliciousness.”
“**Restaurant Review: Metropolis, Hoboken**
Metropolis in Hoboken is a fantastic bar and restaurant that effortlessly combines great cocktails, delicious food, and a prime location near the train station.
The cocktail menu is a standout, featuring creative and expertly crafted drinks that cater to a variety of tastes. Each sip was refreshing, and the bartenders clearly know their craft.
The food exceeded our expectations, with a diverse menu that offered something for everyone. Dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented, making for a satisfying dining experience.
Located conveniently near the train, Metropolis is perfect for a quick stop after work or a weekend outing. The vibrant atmosphere and attentive staff enhance the overall experience. Whether you’re in for cocktails or a full meal, Metropolis is a must-visit spot in Hoboken!”
“Not bad, the only downside was they didn't have a few of the menu items we were looking for :(
In particular we were really looking forward to trying the calamari but it seems like several of the items are seasonal, oysters Rockefeller was also not available. The fried calamari was even on menu photos from a month ago, but not available when we went.
That being said the food was pretty good overall, good vibe, service was also great and food came quickly.
In the pictures we had the diver scallops and the spicy shrimp.”
“Giving a 4 star for the food as it was very good. Pizza was excellent and the two pasta dishes were good. Portions were smaller than expected for the price. Service was friendly but our server was preoccupied and needed to be reminded about the drink. The pizza was the highlight of the meal.”

“A local favorite for me! Food is always fresh, healthy, and delicious! Friendly and hard-working staff. I really enjoy the PB&J along with any of the smoothies. The specials are always refreshing to try too. Plenty of seating or you can grab and go. Definitely a 10/10 recommend!”
Takeout Restaurants
“This is easily some of the best food I’ve had in the whole NYC area and definitely the best yakitori I’ve ever had. Each skewer was uniquely seasoned and delicious. Getting food here and sitting by the water to eat it is a perfect experience. Also the Hey Yogurt is right next to it, so it’s easy to get a yummy drink/dessert with the meal! Erotori does also offer a mochi dessert I’ll be sure to try next time”

“My friend treated me to some of the lemon thyme donuts and wow- probably some of the most delicious donuts I've ever had. I loved the thick lemon glaze and could have eaten a whole dozen if I had the chance. Next time I'm in Hoboken I plan on stopping by to try some other treats.”
“I live in Florida, but I wanted to send Halloween-themed baked goods for my sons and daughter-in-law in Jersey City. Baking Mama delivered delicious cookies, cupcakes, and brownies on time right to their door. My kids said they were delicious and they looked great in the photos they sent. Two thumbs up!”
“Totally a hidden Korean spot for their street food and mochi donuts! Limited seats so they majorly do delivery.
(The owner said they r famous for their Korean-style fried chicken, definitely visit again for that.)
?❤️??Donut was so chewy, soft, and flavored! I love my injeolmin flavor which was powdered soybean. Gentle taste, not too sweet. Highly recommended✨
❤️✨Original corn dog was totally delicious too. I got half mozzarella half hot dog to try both, the outside bread was chewy, crispy, melted with cheese part. Thus I preferred mozzarella part? crazy good.”

“Went for the 1st time on 12/26 and the worker was so friendly. Greeted me as soon as I walked in and was eager to help me. Eventhough parking is tough I will definitely be back. The food was hot and fresh and this was around 9:15pm at night. Very pleased with service, food and atmosphere.”

“My favorite place in Hoboken! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and every delicious dish is made with love. Great coffee, omelettes and breakfast sandwiches! Cozy ambiance, good music and cool local artwork on the walls. Definitely give this place a try!”
“Great addition to the 5th Ward! Excellent service. Love the Chai Latte, the homemade marshmallows that top drinks for kids and adults are special, great gifts for babies and and a welcoming bright space in the location formerly occupied by Truglio’s. You have to check it out. Congratulations to Kristin and Catherine — the owners of this business — for creating a great community space that has already added so much to our neighborhood.”
“The thought of eating vermicelli bowls (order with noodles not rice!) here for lunch is the only thing keeping me sane from my company’s 5-day RTO policy. This shop always has good quality meat that’s seasoned to perfection, good nuoc cham, generous portions, and sweet workers!!! Better than most “Viet” food in the city esp considering this is a fast-casual option. Literally the highlight of my day. I should probably try other things on the menu and I’m sure it would be solid!!”
“Have ordered takeout from this place a few times, but finally got the chance to dine in. We had greek salad, hummus, lentil soup, and a yeero. All the portions were large and the food was delicious. I especially loved the hummus with warm pita. The dine in experience is very casual. Not a place I’d bring visitors to, but a casual spot to pop into on an evening stroll when hunger strikes.”
“The food, bartenders and patrons make Carpe Diem a great spot. Thoroughly enjoyed!”

Cheap Eats
“One of the Best Deli's in Hoboken/New Jersey
Upon walking in, we were greeted by the very nice people working there, they made us giant sandwhiches loaded with meat and cheese.
The Sandwhiches
I had a Turkey Mutz Mayo and Sundried Tomatoes, the sandwhich was LOADED and I absolutely could not finish the second half (right away). I appreciated the softness of the bread for such a large sandwhich, as it was easier to eat and easier on the unhinging of the jaw to take a bite of the giant sandwhich.
The Mozzarella
The Fresh Mozzarella was excellent and definetly stands up to spots like La Bella and Fiore's, and Vinny's Mootz. Perfectly seasoned, not too salted, not under salted. Good moisture.
The Staff
The staff were very friendly and we felt very welcome in the deli. They made our sandwhiches with much love.
Overall, 9/10, would and will come again.”
“Stumbled upon this coffee shop last year when they just opened and a year later, we're still going. Hoboken has so many coffee shops but this has to be my favorite one. The drinks are always on point, the baked goods are just so delicious and tastes so fresh! Finding Filipino snacks in Hoboken is a gem. Best part about Hey Coffee People is how friendly the staff is, so nice and always so cheerful. I wish I lived in Hoboken, I would come here everyday and get my favorite cinnamon buns”
“I stopped here while walking in Hoboken and enjoyed a sea salt carmal gelato. There were many gelato flavors to choose from!
Beside the gelato, there are also many pastry and sweet treats too. Everything looked fresh and delicious. The server was pleasant and there are nice places to sit. I will definitely come again.”
“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal”
“Went for Sunday brunch. Was told we could have a table, but there was a party coming in an hour so..,
The waitress was fine, but took her a while to circle back to us to check us out and given we were on a time frame, thought she would have been on top of that.
The food was good. Split an eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was really good.
I realize this location turns into a club at night, but the music was quite loud for a brunch crowd. It doesn't have to be a club feel all of the time.”
“Giving a 4 star for the food as it was very good. Pizza was excellent and the two pasta dishes were good. Portions were smaller than expected for the price. Service was friendly but our server was preoccupied and needed to be reminded about the drink. The pizza was the highlight of the meal.”
“I live in Washington @ 11th. My two locals were Ted & Joe’s and Maxwell’s. Both gone. Lately been too busy to find a new local but Finnegan’s would be in the running. The premier establishment in Hoboken to experience local bands in a great space. As a performer it is great!!!!!!”
“I like this bar a lot, but for a while now, it randomly closes hours early. For example, last Thursday the bartender had already done last call before 11:15pm. And tonight, the place is lights out before 10:15pm. It makes it tough to count on this place to be a go to bar, because it’s frustrating to walk to a place that says it’ll be open, and then it’s closed.”
“Food was delicious and the staff were kind and attentive. What else could you want? We love coming here.”
“got the huli huli bowl.....amazing! food is phenomenal, restaurants clean, staff a nice!”
“Jonathan and staff is very personable and attentive. We absolutely love the food here. They always make us feel very welcome this is our go to comfort spot here in Hoboken. We have been there many times with family members and friends and each time it was delightful. Personally, my favorite dish is the Homie linguine with half a lobster fra diavolo and we also love the chicken bun gusto! We recommend for ur next Italian meal!”
“Pie was delicious, service was exceptional, interior was beautiful, owner was awesome…AND it’s BYOB (with a liquor store no minutes away). Love Love Loved it.”
