“This was our first visit and it sure didnt dissapoint. Everything was outstanding service, food and atmosphere. I had the whole fish and my wife had the lamb and both dishes were done to perfection. We will definetly visit again and bring friends over to this hidden gem!“
“Delicious & great service! We loved Esca but this was also v delicious & v healthy. Room is pretty. The bar is not as cozy & stylish as it was in its former iteration but overall we will be back & wish them great success! Great space & option including while in the theatre district, Sony Hall, etc;))“
“I usually don’t goto places like this because I’m from Brooklyn and I dress like a bum. The service was amazing, they didn’t judge my dirty Brooklyn cyclones hat and were very attentive. Second, the food was amazing and loved every bits of it.The appetizers we tried were the tuna tartare, chicken gyro bao buns and saganaki fondue. All were amazing! My main course was the salmon and I can’t describe how good it was because my vocabulary is limited. But anyway, once again the service was amazing. I would recommend this place even to gnarly out of borough people like me!“
“The food at Elea is always outstanding, the service this time...not so much. AND, as the people sitting next to us were leaving, the man said "do not order the cheesecake." I didn't ask why he said that but....he clearly didn't like it. Unfortunately, our server was not the best but I guess that's to be expected on a holiday.“
“One of the best dining experiences I've had. Excellent food and service. The chef owner was warm and welcoming. I especially liked the chicken soup on a cold rainy day. And the yogurt was the best. I hope to return soon. Would highly recommend.“
“By now of course this place is a NYC Institution like Da Umberto, Raouls and Il Mulino. They run a good program, and the service is always attentive. The drinks come quickly, and notably the mezze are the star, along with the fresh fish. The whole bronzino is excellent. You can also almost aways get a table short notice, so that's nice too. Go with a smile on your face, and you are liable to leave with a bigger one.“
“I’ve been to Kyma a few times already and I always have a great time . First time I went on a Saturday night with a few friends and we had the time of our lives. The manager, Steve, was really nice and he made sure that we were having a good time. Yiannis, our server, had some great recommendation for food and drinks, but most importantly he was so pleasant and polite. We will def go back again.“
“We would like to thank the Avra Team for the wonderful experience we had celebrating our son's 1 year old birthday and his grandparents 40th wedding anniversary. Beautiful place for special celebration! Sophisticated ambience, attentive staff, exceptional service, delicious Greek food! We highly recommend making reservation in advance!“
“Awesome brunch. Wait is really long on the weekend however and they only do walk-ins. Food came out slow and service left something to be desired but food mostly made up for it. I'd definitely try and come here more often if I lived closer and it wasn't as busy!“
“The view from this restaurant is absolutely amazing, offering a breathtaking panorama of Manhattan. They have a big market place to showcase their fresh daily seafood, including a variety of fishes, oysters, scallops, scampi, and Carabineros. The atmosphere is great, and the setting is perfect for socializing. If you don't mind the price, it's also a great place for a date. Scallop sashimi, zucchini stack, carabineros was delicious.“
“My husband and I enjoyed brunch at Paros last month and we were interested to see if dinner would be as good -- and our dinner Saturday night exceeded our expectations. We focused on smaller plates: tuna crudo, hamachi crudo, grilled calamari, zucchini fritters and spanakopita, followed by the orange cake with Greek yogurt gelato. Everything was delicious (my favorite was the grilled calamari). Excellent service, even though the restaurant and bar were quite busy.“
“Amazing food, the spinach pie, greek expresso martini, and the vegetarian moussaka was beyond anything I’d imagine. The hostess Milena was beyond amazing, and the bartender Fausto was very attentive. I will make sure the Citi team is aware about this place.Definitely will be back!“
“On a chilly Sunday afternoon Smiley and I dined outside at Village Taverna, heat lamps hung above each table, so we were nice and toasty, the food is outstanding, so is the staff, the atmosphere pleasing, we dined early just before the crowd to get these photos. My wife Smiley rates the Village Taverna 5 Smiles.“
“This restaurant is exquisite. The atmosphere is very beautiful and calming. The area is nice. The service is very good, servers are very efficient. These servers even ask about any food allergies which shows how dedicated they are to the restaurant environment. The food is very good with lots of flavor.“
“Really excellent Greek place. This is the second time I’ve visited and I’ve been impressed on both occasions by the lovely food. The tuna-salmon carpaccio is gorgeous and so good I regretted having to share it. The ink risotto and the sea bass with gnocchi are both wonderful—the gnocchi is so crispy! And for dessert we had the orange cake, which is packed with citrus flavor. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.“
“My mom and I have drove past this place for years and kept saying that one day we'll stop by and check it out. We just went yesterday and honestly did not expect the food to be as good as we anticipated. The owners were insanely nice, made the food from scratch, and the entire atmosphere of the place was welcoming. Highly recommend everyone to come here on the regular!“
“Fresh and delicious! I came here based on the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a quick, no-hassle but relatively healthy meal in the city (and you'd like to sit down while eating it) this place is great!“
“Tino's is great but they need to find a better way to stagger reservations so they don't make people wait an unreasonable amount of time (with a reservation), and so that diners don't feel rushed because they're taking up space and people who are waiting to die are on top of them. Food is fantastic, the octopus is a must order. The one tip I'll give is to make a reservation and call 1 hour prior to confirm, and maybe call again to 30mins out to let them know your ETA. Otherwise expect to wait 30mins even with a res“
“9 Jones Restaurant had a very mysterious and high-class mystique with a 10/10 atmosphere. The food was find overall a little bland for our taste, but the item that stole the show was the grilled octopus. The service was good but very slow. Our reservation started around 6PM and we didn’t get out main courses til 8:15PM. Did have a surprised burlesque show which was so fun!!“
“We had a great time celebrating a birthday at GRECA. The in-house bakery made their amazingly delicious orange olive oil cake into a birthday cake for my daughter. Amazing wand gluten-free! All the dishes were fresh and tasty. The Spreads appetizer had interesting spreads that were devoured. The lamb chops and chicken souvlaki were perfectly cooked. And the orange oil cake was perfection. The staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly.“
“Went there the other night with a few friends. Service and food was 10/10. Everything came out fast. My friends had the octopus which they loved. I had the lamb chops and a few skewers, also feta Greek fries. Definitely recommend for a traditional Greek food.“
“It’s casual but polished casual.$5.25/ Freddo Cappuccino. It was very good. This was the item I was most impressed with at Pi Bakerie, over and above the pastries and baked dishes. If I come back to Pi Bakerie it will be specifically for the Freddo Cappuccino. I could envision myself deliberately making a detour via SoHo for this Freddo Cappuccino. Which is pretty cool that means they have a “destination item” on their menu.I’d be curious to compare with Café Lyria who also make reportedly excellent Greek Freddo Cappuccino (this is like the Italian Schakerato). Also curious to try their Peinirli (“cheese boat”). Looked delicious.“
“A truly memorable meal...with the exception of one server who was clearly having a bad day, Milos was extraordinary. Every food item from the lowly (but melt in your mouth) grilled Italian bread with family olive oil to a flavor-packed branzino baked in sea salt and the most amazing baklava on the planet, this evening was special. Let's just say the meal held up well with a gorgeous sunset view over the Hudson River.“
“We had the pleasure of dining at Eleni's Saturday night and it was a wonderful evening. The hostess Sren started the evening on a high note because of her warmth and friendliness. Unfortunately, my reservation had been lost when I did it on Google, but she could not have been more accommodating. She gave us a table that we could spend two hours at without being rushed. The grilled calamari, octopus, and appetizer of dips were all exceptional, as was the waitress we had. Both the waitress and Sren made a point of coming over during the meal to ensure that we were pleased with everything. The ambiance is lovely and is very inviting. I can't wait to return to this restaurant that truly values and appreciates it customers and makes you feel like an honored guest. Thank you to Sren and our waitress for a fabulous night out.“
“We recently had the pleasure of hiring Kellari Taverna for a catering event hosted by Philoptochos, serving the Hellenic College Holy Cross 2024 Seminarians, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The team at Kellari Taverna crafted a perfect Lenten menu that left our guests raving about the flavors and quality of the dishes. From the tender calamari to the assortment of delectable dips, succulent shrimp, perfectly cooked fish, refreshing salad, savory potatoes, and indulgent desserts, every item on the menu was executed flawlessly. The attention to detail in each dish truly showcased the culinary expertise of the Kellari Taverna team. Moreover, the staff that attended the event were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every guest had everything they needed, from food to drinks. Their professionalism and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening, making our event run seamlessly.Overall, we cannot recommend Kellari Taverna highly enough for their exceptional catering services. If you're looking for delicious food, impeccable service, and a memorable dining experience, look no further than Kellari Taverna. We look forward to working with them again in the future.“
“There are so many Greek places to choose from but we always keep coming back! The food is so delicious and everything is so fresh! Oh and the tzatziki is amazing! Also, the takeout bags always have a really cute drawing, our complements to the artist!“
“We were here for restaurant week and decided to order from that menu. The food was excellent. Service was impeccable. Everyone was very attentive. Very much appreciated our server's recommendations for wine. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in midtown.“
“I like this place. They have authentic Greek pastries, warm hospitality. Nice place to sit and meet someone. Though lately the music is bumping like it's a club and it's not the relaxing vibe I'm looking for on a weekday afternoon and it keeps me from lingering any longer, it just makes me anxious whereas I think it used to be more chill here. Not what I want from a coffee shop and I couldn't get past it even with headphones on. Sundays they have live music, it feels like a family party vibe with champagne going. Try the cookies in the kiosk across, so good.“
“Happy hour is a great deal $5 drinks for I think wine, beer, mojitos, margaritas, and espresso martinis. Mojito was meh, but the margarita was pretty good! We got the Medusa mixed platter which feeds 3-4 people and it was delicious. There’s also a bunch of apps on the happy hour menu as well. The beef stick and the lamb chop was delectable. Metered Street parking was readily available“
“At Central Park and in need of a quick bite? head to Madison Avenue and E 62nd Street. The ideal spot to satisfy your hunger. suitable for modifying meal choices and accommodating all dietary requirements. served hot and fresh, and the food is so delicious that I am at a loss for words. Try it now, and you'll thank me later. 行こう“
“The best restaurant in town! This is the only place I want to eat at. The food is always fresh and good, whether we dine-in or order-out. My favorite item to order is one of their soups, lentil and chicken are both very flavorful. I highly “
“We had just flown in and needed something before heading to a Colbert taping. We had no expectations, but absolutely loved the food. Only thing we didn't love was the sausage and only because it was seasoned in a way that wasn't for us. All of the other meats, sides and sauces were seasoned perfectly, tender, and delicious.“
“This is one of my favorite places to eat in the whole city. I come here sometimes with my baby and everyone is very nice to us and they’re very accommodating with space for my stroller even though the location is somewhat small. The food is delicious, you cannot miss the spreads. They are AMAZING. The vegetarian bowl and chicken souvlaki are also delicious. If you order coconut water they serve it fresh from a coconut. The staff is super helpful and very kind. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I love visiting.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and are very accommodating to children.“
“We held my wife’s baby shower at this restaurant, and we have ordered from here on multiple occasions. First, the food is phenomenal. From the chicken kebab to the falafel, all of the food is fresh, and seasoned and cooked to perfection.Nora and her team essentially treat the entire restaurant, including patrons, as family. They welcome you with warmth and will work with you to do anything your heart desires, within reason. You will feel so close to Nora from the start that you will likely give her a hug before you leave. The baby shower was a complete success- the restaurant is beautiful without being too much of a spectacle- and even has a tuned piano, which allowed us to have live background music for the event. My wife had a wonderful day, and it was made possible by Nora and all of the great staff at The Bosphorus!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and GF friendlyKid-friendliness: We had 5 kids at the event so they made them chicken fingers and fries to be safe!Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, double door- we had someone in a wide wheelchair. They even walked with the person in the wheelchair holding an umbrella for her!“
“I tried EFI’s today from just passing by without looking at any reviews/ knowledge about the place i was PLEASANTLY surprised on the food! I got 2 lamb gyros and spanakopita to go. The lamb meat was GOOD but I got some nasty hard pieces. But, after getting rid of the pieces the gyros were great STUFFED with fries and I Loved it! I would 100% go back but i would personally try the chicken instead. The spanakopita was great and enough to share between two!“
“I have been to this particular restaurant many times, often before a show in the neighborhood. I came here with three other people on a Sunday night at 7pm in mid March. I got a reservation on Open table the day before pretty easily. Plan to have a reservation before dining as I have never seen the place anything but packed. The service at this restaurant can be very slowly and the size of the restaurant is uncomfortably cramped; however, none of that matters because the food is incredible. It is some of the best Greek food I have ever tried in Manhattan. I particularly love the Souvlaki pitas. My husband loves the Bifteki Gemisto. The prices are moderate for the quality of quantity of food they provide.I would definitely recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to go back. I will never say no to dining here.Vegetarian options: Better vegetarian options than I've seen at most Greek restaurants.“
“Immerse yourself in the finest traditional Greek cuisine... enveloped in a warm, familial ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. I wholeheartedly endorse the chef's unparalleled raisin vinaigrette sauce, alongside the extraordinary sambuca shot, “windex”—a must-try experience.“
“If I could rate this restaurant ten stars, I would. We had our annual school auction at this restaurant and rented out the restaurant and the event coordinator Olga and the manager Stefano were so accommodating. They were both an absolute pleasure to work with . They both made the event absolutely seamless from beginning to end .The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and their specialty cocktails were a big hit! The venue brought back memories of eating at Mykonos at a fun, trendy, restaurant ( without having to leave the upper east side ).The event was a huge success thanks to Olga, Stefano, and their entire team! I highly recommend this venue for private parties, group dinners, and date nights.Given the number of restaurants to choose from in Manhattan , it's difficult to find one that exceeds expectations in all categories. Anassa Taverna is one of the few that I would recommend!Thank you so much for making our event so memorable ?!“
“My second time there in a week. Mykonian House did not disappoint. Our party of 4 had a great time. Food quantity was ample, service was top notch, we were not rushed, and our waitress Eleni was very pleasant and helpful in recommending dishes. Manager Greg works hard to ensure a positive experience for guests. They succeeded on both of my visits.“
“GREAT food and GREAT service! I myself am Greek so I am used to home cooked Greek meals, so I tend to be picky. The food at Stamna is as close to home cooking as you can get. My friend and I both has the souvlaki platters (lamb & chicken) and they were amazing. The chicken and lamb both melted in your mouth. The lemon potatoes were perfectly cooked with the right amount of lemon. In my opinion, this is the best Greek restaurant in NJ.“
“Loved the atmosphere, bright, clean euro modern, staff was very happy to help and adjust entree as needed. We ordered their lunch special which had several choices of main dish, appetizer, an dessert. Two glasses of wine each, given the quality and the experience, i am giving this 5 stars. So nice to finally find a place thats in mid town and is clean with excellent and authentic Greek food! Highly recommend and will be back!Dietary restrictions: Very happy to adjust entree as needed.“
“The gyro here is amazing the best I've had in NYC. It's my 3rd time having gyros at this establishment. I'm always very pleased. I have some dietary restrictions and they are so polite and accommodated to my needs.... make sure you ask for some lemon oil on the side.... Thank you guys ! I must try some other dishes on there menu!“
“Warm! Elegant! Great music! Great Greek Tapas options! Awesome bar! Live Jazz Music on Thursdays! Great Happy Hours options on Tapas and drinks! Sweet hosts!Baklava, PannaCotta and double shot espresso is to die for!We are definitely coming back!Wheelchair accessibility: On the ground floor with large doors“
“This is a great little Cafe. I walked in, place was clean, decor was awesome, staff were smiling and friendly. I got the vegan gyro bowl, and it was really good. It was packed with gyro and rice, i actually got lunch and dinner out of it. Sometimes plant based food in general has a weird taste, however, Pita Bowl's was great. This is my new spot for vegetarian eats.“
“Food: variety of fresh food falafel and hummus & salad combo. I was thinking that they serve chicken shawarma but they don’t most of their menu is only consist of falafel. Their falafel trio is great.Service: they need to pay more attention to customers with respect to their commitment.Atmosphere: they have plenty of seating outside and inside and the atmosphere is great.“
“Lokal was delicious! We came because we had a gift card but now we will definitely be back. Service was amazing, staff was friendly, family / friendly but up beat vibes. Music was fun too. Great spot on upper west, near the museum of national history.“
“Amazing experience and one of the best Greek spots I’ve tried in NYC!! Everything was super fresh from the appetizer (Grilled Calamari) to the Chicken Gyro platter and my sister got the chicken souvlaki platter. Both the gyro and souvlaki were super tender and juicy. The Greek music playing was so nice and made it feel so authentic. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others!“
“Food is delicious here, always fresh and in good quantity, however prices have continued to go up since I first started going there and also with ordering takeout/delivery. Sometimes just ordering a Greek salad and a gyro, when all is said and done it's nearing $50. I know prices are up everywhere, but some things don't warrant such a jump in price. And definitely shouldn't stay at that price for the long term. Hoping prices will come down as food prices begin to improve.“
“Googled a breakfast place and this place popped up. Street parking is free before 9:00 a.m. which was nice, atmosphere was classic Mom and Pop diner. Server was friendly and energetic, got our food in less than 5 minutes, everything was perfect. I had the iced tea unsweetened it was very good, my sister had coffee black said it was some of the best coffee she'd ever had. We both got omelets hash browns and a meat side everything was spot on prices were very reasonable probably going back again tomorrow morning before we head back home.“
