“"LOVED IT":The Roasted Vegetable Trio Masamun Curry (GF, VG) was incredibly creamy and had the perfect balance of tangy and sweet flavors. The squash and cauliflower were cooked just right. Every bite was bursting with so much flavor, it made my eyes roll back in pleasure. The Shrimp Pad Thai (GF - we omitted the egg) nailed the classic sweet and tangy Thai taste. The noodles were cooked to the perfect consistency. It was so good, I quickly slurped it all up like a dog eating your birthday cake. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and very friendly - great service."LIKED IT":The atmosphere was lively and packed with people enjoying their food and company. It's a fun, energetic vibe being surrounded by the buzz if that's what you're in the mood for."MEH":The Om Gai Pad (GF) was the dish we were most excited for but ended up barely touching. The smell was off-putting to me. The flavor was kind of like an old sock...maybe that funky taste was intentional, but it just didn't work for us.The price. Not awful and expected for the quality of the food.Dietary restrictions: GF and VG are clearly marked. They can also omit eggs to make more VG options.“

“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“

“We had a wonderful experience at this bar… the staff were attentive and kind. The drinks were complex and delicious… my only adjustment would be to make them less sweet… the food was satisfying. We were happy! All in all we enjoyed a cozy and welcoming experience with our cocktails and a bite to eat!“

“Waited an hour in line but the food was well worth the wait! They use the right amount of 5 spice season to make the chicken perfectly seasoned. Despite the long wait, you're not guaranteed a table. We were in the front. This place is not ideal for groups of 3 if you're trying to get into the back room. The hostess wouldn't even put us on the waitlist for the back room.“

“My boyfriend and I visited here for some quick late night food and we arrived shortly before closing. The overall atmosphere was great and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. We ordered everything at once because the kitchen was closing and they still pacer out our meal. The service was impeccable and all of the food and dessert was amazing. (especially the cuttlefish) We will defend be back!“

“It was difficult to snag a spot for dinner because they are always booked. I don’t know if walk-ins are welcomed, but I used the OpenTable notification to get my table for the evening.I liked the food A LOT. Of course, it’s nice to have an unlimited supply of entrees and pitas. The portion of the main course is not very big, but you will probably be full from eating all that hummus and baba ganoush stuff.“

“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“

“I came here for my birthday and had the absolute BEST experience! From the second I walked through the door, I knew it was going to be a special night. Every single person working there was so friendly and really rounded out the experience. Since they knew it was my birthday thanks to Resy, they all signed a happy birthday card, and included a candle on my red bean baked Alaska! Now onto the food: every single dish was a perfectly balanced experience. My one recommendation - don't skip the caviar hand roll. It was so good and I am still thinking about it weeks later! The shrimp toast also had no business being as tasty as it was! The fun thing about this place is that the menu is regularly changing and I cannot wait to see what the menu is next time I visit. Thank you 63 for such a great evening!“

“The burger is what everyone comes for (literally every table around us ordered at least 1) but DO NOT SLEEP on the Mac and cheese! It was the true star for me.The burger is good but be warned it is very rich (we shared 1 amongst 2 people).Would recommend people try this place at least once - and to people visiting - but we probably won’t be back until we’ve tried several other places on our NY burger must try list! One star removed for service because they got our matcha order wrong after we confirmed what we were ordering twice. Other than that service was great and quick!“

“Shuka has been on our radar for ages, especially being huge fans of their sister joint, Shukette. So, we finally decided to swing by while in the area, and while it was good, it didn't quite blow us away like we'd hoped. Personally, I'm still team Shukette all the way! The inside back dining room is super chic with those ceiling lights, but the acoustics can be a bit much – it gets loud in there, and we found ourselves practically yelling depending on how packed it was. But hey, that didn't stop us from enjoying a killer Za’atar martini and some decent wine, even if it did cost us a pretty penny. We stuck to glasses since the bottle prices were just... weird. Our waiter, bless his heart, was an absolute gem – full of energy and seriously clued in on the menu. We asked him for the must-haves, and we went all in on his recommendations. Feta pistachio dip, fried halloumi, carrots, cauliflower, chicken shawarma, lamb merguez – we tried it all! The cauliflower was a real standout with its warm spices and bright citrus/sweet pops. The real star though was the chicken shawarma and lamb Merguez. Pure perfection – juicy and bursting with flavor. But alas, not everything hit the mark. The feta pistachio dip was decent, but it tasted more like a funky Gorgonzola than the tangy feta we were craving. And those carrots? Good, but they needed more spice, a crunch for texture, and a bit more consistency in every bite. Oh, and don't get me started on the pita – it was soft, sure, but unfortunately a bit too dry for my liking. But hey, the team made up for it with a sweet surprise – a free dessert! And let me tell you, nothing beats a killer coffee ice cream with chocolate. So yeah, while Shuka didn't quite earn a permanent spot in our hearts, we're glad we gave it a whirl. Who knows, we might just pop in again if we're in the neighborhood.“

“Great place.. Amazing dishes and desserts. Amazing staff and host. Will definitely be back. —— If I had one con, it would be the speaker volume. It really needs to be at an appropriate dinner volume in that you can have a discussion with that people at your table and not shout. We asked twice for it to be lowered. But I’m unsure it was ever adjusted. Loud club-music volume while dining is just unnecessary.“

“First, I love the low key atmosphere and the ambient light. I've noticed, as I've aged, that a lot of so-called popular restaurants are noisy and bright and the food is only OK. Hav and Mar is the opposite of that. It's a relaxing place with fantastic food- to the eye and the palate, excellent, professional service and great music. I hope it stays this way.“

“I heard that Tonchin is difficult to get walk-ins for, so I was really excited to get a reservation here. There was a long line of walk-ins when we arrived for our 12pm reservation. The restaurant has a cool modern vibe and good service. Overall there were some things I liked, but nothing was particularly memorable. The kimchi mushroom ($8) was meh and not worth the cost. It was very small, cold, and sour -- just hard strips of oyster mushroom in a chili oil/vinegar flavor. I didn't taste the kimchi flavor. The original maguro ($27) was very good. Lots of great flavors and textures, and everything was cut to the same size. I enjoyed the crunchy bits. The tebasaki ($18 for 6 pieces) had quite big and tender wings. The drumettes had more flavor and sauciness. This wasn't a must-get, but it was decent. The smoked dashi ramen ($22) definitely lived up to its name. It was a rich but not overly heavy pork broth with smoked dashi liquid on top. It was good but not amazing. I didn't love that the bamboo was in a big chunk, which made it hard to eat. The noodles are nothing special. I felt similarly about the tonkotsu ramen.I got the aka drink ($18) which was pretty good -- very floral and good sweetness. It wasn't that big, though -- it had a giant ice block in it.Overall the restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is quick to come out, but nothing would make me come back. The maguro was definitely the highlight.“

“We came with a friend and got to try most of the items. For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. Got the halibut, bbq pork, and duck breast. All were delicious, but the duck was definitely the best. Would come back for the main courses. Mille feuille was good too, not picturedCocktails were not memorable. Interior was beautiful!“

“As has been our custom for the past three years, my daughter and I celebrate her birthday at this Blue Ribbon outpost. Needless to say, we've returned each time because of the attentive and friendly service, the delicious food (raw oysters and clams and steamed lobster, sautéed calamari, skirt steak and escargot) and the delightful conversation with staff. This year, Teresa and August were so lovely and sweet and made the evening memorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And see you next year (if not before)!“

“I wouldn’t call Katana a dive bar, but on a Tuesday night it felt like a great neighborhood bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Was surprised at how small it was but that added to the chill vibe. I bet on a Thirsty Thursday and the weekend that all changes, but the bartenders and the craft cocktails will be just as great.“

“This is by far one of my fave gems of New York City!As someone who’s not so big on Greek food except if directly from Greece ?? itself, this place has quality food choices period‼️By now, since this wasn’t my first time here, I can almost say I’ve eaten every appetizer available on the menu ? today me and my pals had a buffet style dinner of continuous food. Each appetizer, including new things I had never tasted, melted in my mouth with deliciousness. ??The staff overall were pleasant and our servers could have been more attentive but… nothing to be sour about. It’s never easy to tend to large crowds of people with various demands at each turn. The food here is a MUST have! This place has been a staple of soho for years, and it’s no wonder why ?Thanks for another YUMMY dinner!xx @MsRextiVegetarian options: Non meaty options“

“wanted to check out a speakeasy while in town and came across the newsroom on tiktok, due to their “stuff your own empanada experience”. nestled in a quiet area of queens, with easy access.lovely speakeasy ambiance with an aerialist performer & live vocal performances. the music they play is all jazzy covers of hit songs, so it fits the vibe so well.the empanadas and the filet mignon taquitos, were so tasteful and delicious.they give you a very decent amount of time to be there, in order to make room for more people. our server Alberto couldn’t have been kinder and more accommodating to our preferences & needs while there.would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid back speakeasy outside of the hustle and bustle of the major city or times square.“

“OMG! I love this place. I am craving it right now as I write this review.Food:If I could live off of Adjaruli Khachapuri I would. A traditional dish that is open-faced khachapuri with a blended cheese, topped with raw egg. The egg is mixed into the cheese tableside. SOOOO GOOOOD!!!! It was so good that I had one as an appetizer and one for dinner. I also enjoyed Mushroom Khinkali (Georgian Dumplings) - another delicious dish. Lastly, I had one of their spreads - Spinach Pkhali: Spinach, walnut paste, onion, garlic, coriander and topped with Pomegranate Seeds. Super fresh and delicious.Drinks:For cocktails, we had a Sassy Tangarine: Cachaca, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, tangerine, and orange bitters and an Espresso Mama: A rich and indulgent chilled espresso cocktail with Georgian Brandy, Mr. Black, fresh espresso and simple syrup. And then with dinner, I had a flight of their famous wines - I had the Amber Wine Flight - Three different amber wine styles from different grape varieties.Service:The service was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. We sat at the bar and had a great time.Vibe:I loved sitting at the bar. I took a tour around the restaurant and if I sat at a table, I would probably want to sit in the front room or at the bar. This was a great find and I would highly recommend a visit.Date of Visit: 16 March 2024“

“My very favorite place to go for a special occasion. Every single dish is amazing. The choice of cocktails with fresh infusions is amazing. Note that you do not have to save room for dessert, because it is not quite as good as the other courses. And the family style is so fun!“

“Wonderful spot for a long, leisurely lunch. The food is excellent, notably, the french fries, which are borderline miraculous in their flavor and ab to sustain maximum crispiness for hours on end. The cocktails are very good, especially the martini service. The wine list is extensive and SKUs heavily to the natural side, so be warned. But the dining room is high ceiling and convivial, and the staff is allowed to sport their personalities, which is welcome.“

“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. “The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“

“The best brunch plate that I've ever had. And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. I didn't drink that day but they had a nice looking and well stocked bar.“

“Went there for the bottomless brunch with some friends. While we had a blast, we misunderstood the bottomless brunch deal: on top of paying for an entree, you can get bottomless drinks for 90 minutes for 30 something dollars, which when you look at it you better be drinking A LOT for it to make financial sense, so be warned.“

“Food was supreme here. I had the raw clams, fresh and presented well. Cocktail sauce was done with care. My main was spaghetti and clams in tomato sauce with arugula salad and a touch of spring onions, that was a very fine detail. The effort was notable in the food. Service could be more disciplined though, some staff prioritise chatting with each other over customer service. The dining room was tastefully decorated. Would love to come back but I live too far.“

“Unbeatable views. I mean, unbeatable. The island is beautiful, the tram ride over is very cool. I recommend going about an hour before the Four Freedoms Park closes. Head over there and look at that, then head over to the Panorama Room and stay until the sun goes down. This will put you at about 3-4 hours on the island. The restaurant and bar are very nice, great ambience. I knocked off a star (and considered two) due to the service. First, the way the bar area is set up is really confusing. There is seating all around it, but, they will only take your order on the door side, so if you are sitting on the window side, they will literally make you get up and go to the other side to order. BUUUUUT not everyone and not all the time. If it is less busy, they'll take your order if you are seated. So confusing. I had to ask multiple times to close our tab. This is absolutely not a place to go if you are in a hurry. Food is meh, so eat elsewhere and come for the drinks and the views and maybe a snack. I think the big problem we ran into when we went here is it was just understaffed. They staff that was working was doing their best, pretty much. It was just slow and kind of frustrating. I highly recommend making a reservation versus taking your chances in the bar area, as it is not big but it can get very busy.“

“The servers at Casa Ora are super friendly, focus on their customers and are very attentive. My server Freimar, took time to answer any questions that I had, pertaining to some of the items on the menu .She had such a wonderful personality and really made my dining there, all the more enjoyable. The food I ordered was well seasoned, I should know that, as I am a cooking school grad, and worked at Port Authority of NY and NJ ,four different facilities, in their kitchen and dining room/cafeterias for 20 years and six months. I am also a Veteran of the US ARMY,served for 17.5 years. I totally enjoyed the Pastelito,, The Brisket was most excellent, had a very nice flavor,.There was a mild garlic sauce that I put on it,made it taste even better. I just loved the sweet plantains, which came with sour cream I had a glass of Mongarda Brut Prosecco,, which was very good. I ordered a cup of Cappuccino, which was very good. I really enjoyed this meal and most definitely will return. I plan to bring a very special friend of my family, who is from Peru, the next time that I dine at that restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, I give them 5 stars and as far as Food Presentation, they get a 10 from me.......“

“Bangkok Supper Club is undeniably the best Thai restaurant in NYC. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a cozy and warm atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. The host's warm welcome adds to the inviting ambiance, making you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food--it's simply outstanding. I highly recommend trying the Lin Yang (beef tongue) grilled charcoal, a dish that bursts with flavor and tenderness. Another must-try is the octopus with fried onion, a delightful combination of textures and tastes that leave a lasting impression. What truly sets Bangkok Supper Club apart, though, is the exceptional service. I can confidently say it's the best I've ever experienced. The servers Pat are attentive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. “Arrived just after opening on a Tuesday night. Head mixologist/bartender Cyllan walked me through a few of his favorites and had me sampling everything from his frozen rum punch (absolutely delightful) to his green bean pickle brine (very briny). They made me a pisco sour from last season's menu and followed it up with the Mai Tai. Both were good, better than good even. They use a vegan foaming agent instead of egg white, if that sort of thing matters to you. Average price around $19/drink at the time of this writing. The rest of the staff was attentive and friendly. The music was a bit loud for 4:30PM on a Tuesday. Bathroom was clean.“

“New theme, same owner, but new design. very good, great aromas, new flavors and dishes with art, flavor and love, I liked it. Some time ago it was an Argentina-style family restaurant, now it is innovative and modern, with plenty of color. Tango, its name should have more music like the milonga... however the lounge house type music, classics came out something delicious I agreed with the time of an exquisite dinner. Thank you“
