When I first arrived, there were a few things that needed attention, but Maurice, the property manager, responded almost immediately and had everything taken care of within about 12 hours. His responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine commitment to making sure I had a good stay really stood out.
From that point on, the rest of my month was excellent. The apartment met my needs, and it was reassuring to know that management was so attentive and easy to work with. I really appreciate Maurice’s effort and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Newark.”

I’m honestly not even sure exactly what dish I ended up getting, but whatever it was, it was delicious! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying, and I’d definitely be interested in coming back to try more of the menu.
The friendly service really stood out and made the experience even better. It’s always nice going somewhere where the staff is willing to help you out, especially when you’re unfamiliar with some of the dishes.
Overall, great food, great hospitality, and a really positive experience. Definitely recommend Kebab House, and I’ll be back!”

They have plenty condiments in my bag with utensils and napkins. Price was reasonable for this economy shockingly . Young man server was nice and remembered my order by heart.

HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. I’ve got to try the neckbones on Wednesday or Thursday next time. Great spot!!!!!”

I have to be honest — the last time I was here, I left feeling pretty sad because the food and service had really gone downhill. It was honestly disappointing because I remembered how good everything was when they first opened. So I came back this time with somewhat low expectations… and WOW, was I pleasantly surprised!
The food was INCREDIBLE. Not just “good” — I mean SO GOOD. Everything was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and honestly even better than I remembered it being when they first opened, which is saying A LOT because they were already good back then!
But the biggest surprise was the service. Maria Eduarda, our bartender, and Pedro, our server, were absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. They went above and beyond — and then somehow found a way to go a little further . They were attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, incredibly helpful, and made us feel like they actually cared about making sure we had the best experience possible.
You could really feel the difference from the moment we walked in. It felt like the restaurant had found its spark again — except now the quality is even better than it was when they first opened!
I left this time not only full, but genuinely happy and relieved that this place is back to being somewhere I’m excited to come to.
A HUGE shoutout to Maria Eduarda and Pedro — you two absolutely made our experience! You did everything and MORE to make sure we were taken care of, and it definitely did not go unnoticed.
Whatever you guys are doing now — KEEP DOING IT! The food is amazing, the service is fantastic, and the whole experience was exactly what I hoped it would be.

The atmosphere is pleasant, we opted for couch seating since the tables were all reserved and the positioning of the chairs we sat at was a little awkward with a large potted plant and the table itself, but all in all a lovely place. Lots of neat artwork on the walls and good ambient lighting. The food however had me disappointed... I opted for something easy and reliable, a chicken pot pie. When it came out it looked GREAT, but when I started to dig in I realized the biscuit crust on top was very difficult to break apart, and trying a bite made me realize the biscuit was... Tough? And chewy? Genuinely not sure how that was managed but it was unpleasant. The actual filling was fine enough - the vegetables (carrots and potatoes in particular) could have all been cooked down to be softer but they were perfectly edible. That said, the filling was pretty flavorless. The chicken in the filling? FANTASTIC. But only by itself, everything else drowned out the chicken and the delicious flavor of the chicken unfortunately was not enough to flavor the rest, so it was a bland and tough chewy mess that was difficult to eat. We got dessert after and I opted for a slice of cheesecake - the cheesecake was phenomenal. Incredibly airy, light, creamy, and flavorful. It had a raspberry sauce/compote of some kind that I wasn't fond of but that's a personal preference, objectively it was well made and delicious overall.
All things considered, I'd rate this place 3.5 stars if I could.”

I don't know if the burger alone should be $10, even though that seems to be par-for-course at places like this now. I think for similarly-styled burger places like this (like, still fast food, but not going for better quality), this is pretty decent, though I do think there are better options at this airport. They used to sell burger dogs it was basically if a hamburger and hotdog had a baby and it’s so good, that’s what I usually order, when we called it in we said “burger dogs” and places the order like normal, they charge a couple dollars for delivery. Couple minutes pass by and we decided we forgot to add something to the order so we call them and ask for it to be placed with the other one. We are told we have to pay a delivery fee again because it’s by card, which didn’t make sense to me at all, he spoke to the owner and they said if it’s in cash we don’t have to pay that delivery fee but by card we have to nothing he can do thankfully we had enough cash on hand but that already made me feel some type of way, once the food arrives I realize it was a burger (not the burger dog so it didn’t have the sausage) honestly I was just so disappointed so I called them and they said they don’t sell burger dogs anyone how people have been getting confused, but correct me if I’m wrong, if a coustomer calls and says burger dog wouldn’t you correct then right there by saying they don’t make it anymore, but over all the food is good but how everything was handled from the miscommunication and then the delivery fee I feel like is unacceptable especially since I’ve been such a loyal customer and supported them before they even opened this location.”
