I found Pompeii and they went above and beyond to put together a wonderful gift basket and delivered it - in less than a week. I was nervous doing this remotely, but Pompeii really delivered, no pun intended. What a great find - I will use again and definitely recommend.“

“This place is pretty cool and the service was amazing. We did have to wait a little before getting helped bc each group pretty much gets a little history of where the place started, and there's only one person who speak to the customers. The ice cream seems to be high quality and the cones are made to order! I personally don't prefer the cone texture, even though they're fresh they're still a little dense. But I'd def come back and get a cup with a smaller portion of the cone.“
“My wife's German grandma loves this place, and often treats us to the family style special. The food is good (certainly the best BBQ you can get in NYC) and the service is always excellent. It does tend to get busy and loud, sometimes louder than is comfortable, but it's always a good time. We went once for lunch, and since it wasn't as busy, that was the best experience we had there. Prices are pretty good, especially for Manhattan. Always have a great time here and love to get good BBQ even this far north!Kid-friendliness: A bit loud for kids, but they put out a coloring page with crayons. There are a few racy pictures on the wall, but they're high up in the corner and my 4 year old didn't notice. She's too focused on the excellent mac and cheese“

“If you live in Northern NJ and have not been to The Venetian you are truly missing out! The Venetian is one of the top wedding venues in New Jersey and they make that very well known! With their amazing staff ready to help you with everything to their top level food you will not have a bad time!As a wedding photographer one of the worst things that can happen is going to a wedding venue where there are no photographic opportunities especially when it is raining outside! The food was great and they even wrapped up any food that wasn't eaten at the end of the event for me to take home. “I went here with my friends on a Friday night around 10, and there was no line, so ordering was very quick, and the worker had prepped most items, so you received your order immediately, and she was very nice. I had the Tequila Sunrise. It was $18 and was very good as far as sorbet goes. There wasn't much liquor to it. You could taste the white wine in the strawberry sorbet a bit, but the mango just tasted like standard mango sorbet. My friends had a scoop of the hazlenut coffee flavor, and it was very good, but not much liquor flavor either. If you're a big liquor person, you might be a bit underwhelmed. Nonetheless, for the amount of sorbet/ice cream you get in the cup, along with the toppings it comes with and the glass, the $18 is fair, in my opinion and I would go back to try other flavors/creations.“

If I come back to Pi Bakerie it will be specifically for the Freddo Cappuccino. I could envision myself deliberately making a detour via SoHo for this Freddo Cappuccino. Which is pretty cool that means they have a “destination item” on their menu.I’d be curious to compare with Café Lyria who also make reportedly excellent Greek Freddo Cappuccino (this is like the Italian Schakerato).Also curious to try their Peinirli (“cheese boat”). “I recently attended my neice's Shabbas Shevah Brachos and Heimish was the caterer for the all the meals.All the food served was fresh and delicious with a homemade feel. The chicken soup served Friday night was absolutely superb and above expectations when being served from a commercial kitchen! It was hearty and hot along with the matzah balls and noodles!For all three meals (Friday night, Shabbas lunch and Shalesh Suedes) the courses were plated nicely.We have a number of family members that required strict gluten free options which was met absolutely beyond expectations! Everything was clearly labeled and kept clean away from any cross contamination and indeed no one walked away with any reactions!I absolutely reccomend Heimish for any and all types of simchas for your catering needs!“
“Had the Linguine Nere con Gamberi, Calamari e Pomodoro i.e., squid ink linguine with shrimp, squid and tomato, and the Insalata di Finocchi Mele Rosse Pinoli Ricotta Salata, i.e., Fennel salad with red apple, pine nuts & ricotta cheese.Both were pleasant. Relative to the salad, the pasta was more delicious. The sauce was delightful -- I wished I had had the bread with the sauce!! I had taken the bread out first and set them aside and forgot about them until I finished the pasta.The bread was a generous portion, and was well baked and I could enjoy it on its own.“

“Lovely chocolates here :) I had ordered them online for gifts and went to pick them up, and ended up getting another box after I tried two of their samples -- they were that good! The owner is very friendly and kind as well. I picked up the chocolates on a rainy day, and he put the chocolates in two bags and put tape over them so that they don't get ruined by the rain. That was really nice of him to consider and do!“
“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

“Thank you so much to the chefs and staff of Food Trends for a really delicious luncheon for the staff and faculty at our professional school yesterday, a party of 80+. We did a "themed menu" and the chicken, fish, and vegetables were all delicious. So often the vegetable dishes and sides are afterthoughts but the beans and potatoes were scrumptious and perfectly cooked. I appreciated that they brought cards that identified the food items and indicated if the food was vegan, gluten free, etc. (most caterers haven't done that in my experience). The staff who dropped off the food were prompt and friendly. And Kelly, rep from the catering team who assisted me with the order, was helpful and responsive. All around I had an exceptional experience with Food Trends.“

“Walked in randomly on a Friday and got the toro special. It was a decent price for toro and it was well presented + quickly served. It wasn't too flavorful since the rice wasn't that seasoned. I relied heavily on the soy sauce and wasabi instead and it was a decent experience. It was a lot smaller than it looks though. I don't generally eat much as I'm a small person but I was easily able to finish the roll + handroll and still wanted more food. Overall I would go back and try other things there. Also saw another reviewer mention that they had soup with the lunch special but I didn't get any soup and it doesn't seem to mention soup being included on the lunch special menu. Just FYI“
“What’s the Kitch? Catered my husband’s 75th birthday party for 24 people in our apartment in Manhattan. From my initial contact right through til the end of the party, I knew this was the caterer for us. Jeffrey and his assistant were extremely professional. I loved his “if you want it, we can make it happen” approach. We had a wonderful selection of light bites that were all outstanding. They were prepared and served (and cleaned up!) right at home, making it a very intimate and fun evening. We were so impressed that we have already booked him for our holiday party in December. Five stars all the way!“
“This is the only place in the entire city that I would recommend people go to if they want an authentic New York pizza experience. The slices are massive (take-up-an-entire-plate HUGE), the sauce is zippy and flavourful, and the pepperoni is to die for. I would personally recommend a slice of the pepperoni and bacon, or the Sicilian deep dish. The workers are all very nice and service was quick and efficient. They also have a nice selection of cold drinks to get with your pizza. The joint was right across the street from our hotel so it was very convenient for us to grab a couple slices whenever we wanted. The best bonus is that the place is open late, which meant that we were able to get pizza at about 12:30 at night after catching Billy Joel at MSG. Overall, this is a fantastic pizza place and I would highly recommend it.“

He's easily the single most professional, efficient and all around best caterer/chef I've ever com across. From planning an intimate 20 person get together to a 4 hour, 150 person rooftop carnival, Chris can take a 30 second conversation and turn it into something beyond your wildest dreams. The man is an absolute legend and the only caterer in NYC you need to consider using. He's sharp as a tack and has a staff unlike any other ready and will to help in any and every way necessary.“
“We hired Custodi to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier with the experience. We had them provide a buffer appetizer/cocktail hour, as well as coffee and tea service during dessert. We live in Oregon and got married in New Jersey, but Chris made the long distance communication and logistics a breeze. Day of, he sent a great team, and they were able to navigate the day smoothly, and make it ever the more easier for my husband and I to just enjoy our day and not be asked a thousand questions. “This place is very nice but very small. There is one bathroom for everyone and the lights there are very dim. It looks larger on the pictures than reality. We enjoyed our avocado rolls and dumplings on the patio. It is a very limited menu for food and drinks. The positive is that it is very cute and they have a train caboose that you can also dine in on the street.“

Lola and Cat were wonderful during the entire planning process - so communicative, easy to talk to, and thoughtful with all their ideas. They helped us with planning our menu, handled all our rentals for furniture, linens, and serve wear, and worked with our planner to create a timeline for cocktails and dinner that flowed perfectly. We were blown away on wedding day - our tables turned out so beautiful and everything that was served was absolutely delicious. We even had many guests tell us it was the best wedding food they've had! We loved that everything was served family style and featured gorgeous, in-season produce. We are so thrilled with our experience with Pheasant and cannot recommend them enough!“
“According to my friend who lives here, Greek is the way to go when you're in astoria. So we ordered some gyros and other delicious bites from Frankys and I was not disappointed. “Last night, at Columbia University, we had an event catered by Apple Spice and I had the vegetarian option. Homemade pesto mayo, thick fresh whole wheat bread, veggies galore with fresh slices of tomato, mushroom, peppers, cucumber, zuchini...and a pickle. Plus chunky cantalope and pineapple on the side. There were MANY options, but I just had the enormous and delicious vegetarian sandwich. I ate every crumb so sadly do not include a photo in this review. Xxox“
