“Went back to Doghouse after a long hiatus and was pleasantly surprised that nothing changed except the live Jazz music on Thursday nights! Very cool! Food was the usual good greasy type except HUGE portions! My cheesesteak was large and tasty as well as my girl's grilled chicken sandwich... def get your moneys worth! Service was spotty but acceptable but then again it's a hometown pub, what do you expect? Stop in on Thursday nights for the live Jazz, saves a trip into the city!!“

“Great smash burger! The beef is fresh and juicy, perfectly crisped on the edges sealing in all of the juice. Cheese is melted, onions are chopped nicely and thin with sauce. They give you pickles on the side but I wouldn’t have minded it all being together. The buns a classic soft potato roll - minor suggestion would be to keep it out a little so that the buns are not cold. The fries are delicious too, curled and fried to perfection. Overall an amazing burger, great place, staff is fun and friendly. Great place to grab a burger and some fries.“

“I normally write reviews for the readers, but today, this review is directed to the owner. Your fried chicken is worth the trouble of finding parking. I had the 10pc bloom drumsticks half w/Soy Garlic and the other half in S.O.S. Korean Spicy. I would even go as far as saying any of the sauces are worth a parking ticket. I was also super impressed with the size of the drumsticks! I was full after just 4, and thankfully, otherwise I would have been tempted to eat my napkin just to relish the flavor. I'm also grateful I arrived with family, since they ordered additional items, like the bloom wings, truffle fries, pork dumplings, and wasabi coleslaw. I got to try almost everything and nothing disappointed...not one thing. Thank you for offering to provide me my order as it became available for the members of my family vs. waiting for all of it to finish, that was very considerate of you and unexpected. I saw how polite you were to everyone that entered to order and for pick-up. We waited a little less than 25 minutes for the order to be complete and considering the size of our order, that was impressively fast! I just want to add that I also noticed you sacrificed your kitchen space to provide extra room for your guest, hats off to you sir! The seating space at the entrance is ample, the decor is trendy, the food was amazing, your attitude was great and even the bathroom was clean. “Always such a delight to eat at Friendly’s considering how many they closed up. Never go wrong with a Patty Melt( it was taken off the menu for a while but happy to see it back) , a fishamajig melt, or a BBQ tenders melt. Then to finish off with a sundae with the best peanut butter sauce . Our server Harvey is always the greatest . We only visit a few times a year but always remembers us and greets us with such enthusiasm. Highly recommended !“

“Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“I've lived in Ridgewood for over 10 years and have been past this place many times and kept saying that I would stop and grab a burger here. Last night my fiancée and I finally dined in. The food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, especially top with their secret sauce and the sweet potato fries were delicious, with a side of garlic aioli dipping sauce. The atmosphere reminded me of being in a bar but with a hint of the calmness of a winter cabin in the woods. What made our experience top notch was the service. Kim was our server and she made our first time very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to chow down on nice big, juicy burger or even a healthy salad.“

“It was crowded and they were BUSY on a working Wednesday. I guess the food being this good, it would be a destination! Grub by Chef Waree is a gem. We had the Stewed Beef soup with rice noodles. Umami was off the charts with the soup. That meant that each slurp of perfectly cooked noodle was nicely coated with enough tasty broth not to need anything else. What was important to me was the great blend of textures with Gailan nicely chopped and perfectly cooked, fresh bean sprouts, and the rice noodles and tender, tasty beef chunks. The Phad Thai with Crispy Duck was well flavored and nicely spicy for "medium". The phat thai was generously sauced without drowning in sauce. Great service and a welcoming atmosphere.“
