We both had the Bento Teriyaki steak box and it was out of this world, super fresh vegetables the teriyaki was light and not over sweet but the item the blew our minds was the tender and savory filet mignon. Nana, our server was fantastic. She was gracious and professional. We will come back soon we highly recommend Sakura Japanese Steakhouse.”

“The Huevos Rancheros and Chile Relleno were some of the best we’ve ever eaten! We enjoy traveling New Mexico for the unique style of flavors of Mexican food only found in this state! The red and green sauces were the authentic deep flavors and the salsa is zappy but flavorful. Our waitress, Leslie encouraged us to try the Calabacitas and tasty whole Borracho Beans? Both were beyond any we’ve eaten previously. Leslie gave us excellent service and was very friendly. The ambience is dated authentic adobe with bright colors and mural paintings. We highly recommend La Nuevo Casita Cafe!”

The red chile had a nice spice and the green was so flavorful. The cinnamon pecan coffee was very good. Also, our server, Rachel was friendly, informative, and oh so nice. We definitely recommend this place. 5 stars.”

“The fish and chips are amazing! We came on a Friday afternoon (11/21) after unhitching at the state park. My exhausted toddler fell asleep right as we walked in the door so we requested takeout. My husband's brisket sandwich was great but the fish and chips were some of the best I've ever had, including the UK. I got more on Monday before we left! The employees were super friendly and attentive while we waited for our food. It was also great to buy canned margaritas at the store next door.”

I’ve never heard of a restaurant charging you $1 for a side of flour tortillas The dining area lights were a little harsh. Also, if you pay with a credit card you get charged a little bit more. I know I’m splitting hairs here. I would give it an 8.5.”

It was our first time here and our server Brian made it easy for us as he gave us his recommendation on some of the dishes and appetizers that was helpful of him. He was patient and kind while we looked at the menu and didn't rush us. I ordered the chicken Alfredo with a salad and my husband ordered the cheese ravioli with meat sauce and the chicken & gnocchi. I didn't realize the salad was going to be in such a big bowl lol but it was good. We had a great time laughing at ourselves and making Brian laugh at us too he was down to earth”

“It’s actually a nice little restaurant with patio seating. Friendly & prompt service is always a plus. We looked at and asked a few questions. My wished her Chimichanga and melted cheese inside to compliment the Beef which she liked. She also wished they heated and melted the shredded cheese on top the Chimichanga, Beans & Rice…while warm they never melted the cheese. I had the Chicken Fandito plate, while made different than what I’m used I thought it all good and tasty. My only complaint is they don’t offer/have any hotter salsa or bottled hot sauce…I thought was kinda out of the ordinary for a Mexican Restaurant. All in all it was good and well try more next time passing through Las Cruces”

“Best to look at the menu before you arrive at the restaurant. When you enter, you order at the counter and then find a seat. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered the beef fajita plate and my husband ordered the brisket burrito smothered in red. It took our order 35 minutes to come out. We were in a larger party and people who arrived after us recieved their food so much quicker than us and when my husband went up to ask about it, they said the fajitas take longer. We finally got our food and I was disappointed. Not that much meat and barely any onions and no bell peppers, they use strips of green chile to mimic bell peppers. Beans were good. No rice. Lettuce and guacamole piled on one side of the plate. No tortilla. My husband said his brisket burrito was interesting because the meat was marinated in the BBQ sauce, but then put into a burrito with red chile smothered. Ground beef taco was good. Maybe we will go back and try different things on the menu. Prices were very affordable.”

The woman got too many dollar policy.forgot about us at all very attentive.But not overbearing. The food came out quickly. It was hot, it's good. Brian kept her coffee's full and earned a substantial tip from us, which I seldom do unless somebody really shows some initiative. Ryan might as well have owned that place as cool as he was in there.
We like Brian because both my girlfriend and I have sons named Brian as well. We discuss that with him and felt that we had made the right choice to sit in the right section. LOLI sell the meat out. I worked as executive chef for Princess Cruise linesfor a number of years. And my trust in the food service these days is 0 to none.”

I got the combo which comes with one taco, two enchiladas, one relleno and some chile con carne. First of all, it came in two full plates to go, with one container completely full with beans, rice and chile verde con carne. There was a huge amount of carne. And a taco laying on top of the rice. The second container had two big enchiladas and the relleno. Then there was the bag with the sopaipilla. And the bag with chips and three kinds of salsa. I really enjoyed the food and especially the chile con carne. The green chile on everything was a delicious sauce. For $14 this is two meals, maybe more if you aren’t a big eater. It also was really quick in line. I highly recommend.”

We came in and were quickly seated, but due to a shortage of staff, the food and drinks took a long time to appear, even to the point where it seemed like my son’s waffle would never show up. They felt bad and made it up to him by giving him the full waffle at no extra charge! It is not easy working on Thanksgiving and we appreciate the kind thought by giving him the extra half.”

I had a drink that was just refilled and I figured that I would ask for a to go cup vs leaving it to be thrown out. When I asked for the to go cup, she said the only to go cups that they had were for those take out meals and that if I wanted a to go cup for my drink, it was going to be $4.00. Needless to say, I didn’t take it and left a full drink on the table when we left. I have never, been to a restaurant where they charge me for a to go cup.
