“I ordered to go and ordered two taco plates, on the website it states taco plates are $7.99 when I went in the total was $25.88, so I said the price online I says $7.99 and she said sorry that’s not my website that is the old owners and they refuse to take it down, so I paid anyway..Taco shells were very stale and the meat had no flavor, definitely not worth what I paid, the sopapillas were good but that’s about all, will definitely not be going back.”

“SAKURA Hibachi absolutely delivered. I grew up in Oregon with easy access to fresh seafood, spent years in Las Vegas where good sushi is everywhere, then moved to Socorro about 17 to 18 years ago where quality sushi usually meant a drive to Albuquerque. Finding this place closer was already a win, but the experience went well beyond convenience.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the service was genuinely attentive. I came here with my daughter for a daddy daughter day and she was blown away. The moment she finished her last bite of her teriyaki filet mignon, she looked up and said “10 out of 10,” which pretty much says it all.

We went on a Sunday around 3:30 PM and it was calm and uncrowded, just a few other couples. If that is typical, I honestly appreciate the quieter vibe because it made the experience even better.

This spot exceeded expectations across the board. We will definitely be back.”

“A laid-back breakfast (and lunch) place in central New Mexico. I really like going there! A lot! (FWIW, it's ~2.78 miles to the nearest Weck’s from here.)

The egg shortage of recent times has surely hurt their bottom line. Try to give them a bit of an extra tip to help out.”

“10/10 would recommend. I have to limit how often I go because I would be massive. If you want a good selection make sure to be there by 8am. if you are wanting 2 or more dozens of something specific make sure you reach out to the ladies a couple days before, maybe a week for other items. You will not regret getting these! I always get them for my corporate meetings and everyone LOVES them. Krispy Kreme, Dunkin, etc got nothing on this place. This will always be my go to when trying to show my co-workers, my kids school, my family they matter and deserve the best. P.S The Fritters deserve all the love!”

“The interesting thing is that last night I got dismissed from the emergency ward in the hospital, and I drove down a major Street in Albuquerque, everything was closed, except wienerschnitzel. They were open till midnight,! I bought their special for Wednesday. It was a polish sausage sandwich. One warm rye bread, it was quite delicious, a tasty treat while driving home!. When I asked for a burger, they had no burgers. They were out. But I did notice, there were some signs with some other specials. It fits the bill. It's priced Right, and the people were nice, and being able to get something to eat when everything else was closed or nearly everything else was closed, that was especially pleasant. September 3rd 2025”

“We called in an order for sweet and sour chicken, teriyaki double chicken, and chicken dumplings. All of the food was so good and it was ready when we arrived. Portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and quick. I think my favorite was the chicken dumplings. We will be back!”

I thought it was a joke but proceeded to talk to the owner aka "creepy old dude in the corner" our waiter asked us to relocate but disgusted with the situation we left. “Loved this place and went regularly when they were in Rio Rancho. Will definitely miss going now that they are gone. Going to be hard to find another place close by that serves such good birria tacos.”

“The salsas were not your normal type you usually get. They were tasty and quite spicy. Our server was attentive and pleasant. She did a wonderful job. The food was also not your normal dining fare found in most Mexican restaurants. The crab and shrimp enchiladas were very tasty. If I am in the area, I would return to try other options.”

“Perhaps I’m to old school. I am a New Mexico native now living out of state. I have eate at Teofilos off and on for several years in the past, but it’s been 4 yrs since I visited last. Love the atmosphere! Artfully done. I was looking forward to a great meal. I’m saddened to say, I was greatly disappointed. I ordered a combination plate to get a feel of all the flavors I miss living out of state. The Chile relleno! I had to ask what it was. It looked like a frozen “popper “ deep fried in burnt oil. The taco filling was dry hamburger with no whiff of any spice in a hard shell that looked like it came straight out of the box. The rice was dry and flavorless. The red Chile had a good flavor, but aside from that I am deeply disappointed the the real “Rio grande flavor” is disappearing along with the unique Spanish dialect that was unique to our great New Mexico heritage. Please ownership, reassessment of your menu and attention to original recipes is needed. Please help preserve the uniqueness of the richness of the authentic culinary culture of our heritage.”
