“Freshly made warm pita and flatbread from the oven! Nice dough and crust. Dishes were generous but under seasoned. Generous shwarma pieces on flatbread were overcooked. Rice with almond slivers from ouzi lamb was very fragrant and tasty. Comfortable seating. Light and airy. Attentive service. ”

“I’ve never done a review before, but me and my partner had an amazing time here tonight. Just stopped by to have a couple drinks and a snack before heading home. The server, I’m not sure of his name but he was a server in the front section by the bar Wednesday around 8pm. He was incredibly knowledgeable of the wine list and knew all the details about the food we were served. The food runner ran thru each item on the food. Just incredible service. The server picked a fantastic wine I wouldn’t usually go for. The atmosphere was fire. Food 10/10. Recently moved to the area and we’ll be regulars now. Couldn’t rate this place higher. Oh and I also want to mention my partner called ahead and didn’t catch the host, but they called her back in like 1 minute and managed to squeeze us in. You’re running a tight ship!”

“Out of this world creative Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect setting for friend, couples, and families. With a diverse bar selection you can find amazing mixed drinks and local brewed beers on tap. From Fermented Dosa to Lamb Chapli Kebab the starters are brilliant. As you make your way to the main courses the Sea Bream Ssam is so tasty, if you’re in the mood go for the seared prawns or maybe even the Mushroom Uttapam. To finish off the night they have a nice selection of desserts like cashew baklava or the ganache cake is amazing with warm chocolate sauce, rose ice cream, and cardamom salt. To top off the experience the staff are warm welcoming and very kind! Come on by, right on 7th Avenue in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn NY!”

“Ok but not my favorite upscale Mexican in Brooklyn. I really like the tuna tostada (came with tuna, grapefruit, avocado). Got a vegetarian main that was ok, nothing special. Mezcal menu looked good so I’d come back for a drink. Was able to get walk-in seats at the bar by coming right at 5:30 when they open.”

“I LOVE Ishi so much... This was my favorite omakase experience in NYC! Brought my parents here for their anniversary and their first ever Omakase.The ambiance is lovely. The interior is warm, inviting and intimate. Staff is very welcoming.The food is AMAZING and high quality. Every single piece was delicious and we were so impressed. I will definitely be back. I should not that I had a late dinner here after a day of traveling, so I didn't try as many dishes as I would normally try.Food: I savored the Eggplant and Whey Dip, a symphony of roasted eggplant, crispy onions, cured whey yogurt, and mint oil that danced on my palate with exquisite flavor. The Roasted Cauliflower, adorned with a tantalizing tomato & chili glaze, shallot yogurt, pickled vegetables, and pistachio, offered a delightful journey through contrasting textures and bold flavors. “Couples or parties of 2 get ready to cozy up to your fellow patrons. If you need to get up tables will have to be pulled forward to let you out. Larger groups definitely have more room and spacing, but nonetheless the experience will be intimately loud. We came for the highly reviewed Coniglio (braised rabbit) which did not disappoint, but the Spaghetti Neri is a must try. The octopus was perfectly cooked and enrobed in a peppery sauce whose "slow burn" made it hard to put my fork down or prevent my partner from eating out of my plate. Their oxtail and cuttlefish appetizer is an "interesting" experience. The texture was heavy on the creamy and soft with flavors that channeled childhood memories for me, but were in conflict with each other for my partner. Thankfully, the Primitivo Orion was sublime on the palate in all the ways. If you're in the mood for a light dessert that isn't heavy on the sweetness, their panna cotta with wine infused cherries and almond biscotti is the perfect end cap. This place gets packed, so make a reservation. Our 6:45 pm booking was the sweet spot where the turnover from earlier diners gave us a little space for hand holding across the table and a mini lull to shout my man a happy birthday.”

“Simply the best every single time we go! Super friendly with kids, outdoor backyard spaces, beautiful, and feels inside but open… And the pasta is amazing.I’m still remembering the mushroom special pasta I got months ago.Also, the wine list is great and good price points for quality.”

“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.”

“After having enjoyed Bersi's eye-poppingly large platters that feed 3-4 people for $20-60 in total, not even Ras's lunch special ($18 bowls) seemed like a good deal. I did prefer the collard greens at Ras over Bersi's though. (Too bad I didn't try the injera at Ras for a comparison.) All that said, I did enjoy the Bole Bowl: the crunchy soy crumbles were a fun textural element, and the avocado injected creaminess into the mix. FYI, they have a couple of beverages with honey: honey wine and hard kombucha. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-08”

“Came into this place with high expectations and just about everything lived up to the hype. Unmatchable atmosphere and design. Incredible cocktails, tasty snacks.The only negative was our service. Our server did not have a lot of interest in helping us and her attitude didn't seem to match everything else. The bartenders making the drinks seemed a lot more personable, to the point where I wished we were sitting at the bar being helped by them. Either way, make a reservation and get in here!”

“The chicken broth hot pot is very good but very expensive and it’s one of a kind. I would recommend being VIP so you can get discount. In order to to be a VIP member, you have to purchase their gift card for $100. But you can’t use the gift card on the same day of purchase, you have to use it next time you come back. But you can still use your vip Discount on the same day, for example the chicken broth soup is 78.99 and vip pays $39.99, the watermelon juice is $5.99 vip pays 4.99. The menu there has 2 price , one listing for regular customer and red letters listing is for VIP members. VIP members gets Almost $1 off on most dishes. And you get to choose a welcome free gift for being a VIP.”

“Such a lovely low-key friendly neighborhood eats. They've just been opened for couple weeks. Liquor license is coming soon. Love all the dishes we had. Very fresh ingredients and herbs being used, including micro greens and edible flowers. Drinks served now are only soft drinks but like I mentioned earlier; their liquor license is being issued right now. They should start serving alcoholic beverages in couple weeks. What we had today for three of us: Drinks - Raspberry Lemonade - Very refreshing beverage with a perfect combination taste of sweet and sour. Perfect for the hot summer day. - Thai Iced Tea - Typical signature non-alcoholic iced tea from Thailand. They made it perfectly - not overly sweet like most Thai places. - Thai Iced Coffee - Another signature Thai styled iced coffee. And again, perfectly made. Appetizers - Chive Pancakes - Big portion enough to share as a starter. Soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. Love it! - Thai Dumplings - Thai styled steamed dumplings with chicken and shrimp. - Fruit Salad (Special of the Day) - Mixed fruit salad bowl mixed of red apples, green apples, mangoes and grapes tossed with mixed of lime juice and other fresh ingredients of herbs and mints. Perfect for the summer. Entrees - Pad See Ew - Very tasty sautéed noodles with sweet soy sauce and flat noodles and Chinese broccoli and eggs. We chose to have it with fried tofu. - Duck Basil - Love, love, and love how they cook the duck with fresh Basil leaves and bell peppers. The duck meat is there - not dried out - still juicy and tender. Perfectly cooked! - Seafood Pad Cha - Again love the fresh ingredients and herbs used for this dish; especially, peppercorns, fingerroot and fresh lime leaves which they used in the dish. Dessert - Fresh Mango Sticky Rice - Not overly sweet for the Sticky Rice. So it was perfect for a hot day like today. Thank you, Glin for a lovely meal and very friendly attentive service. “Came here for my girlfriend's birthday and it was an amazing experience. The food was phenomenal and since it was our first time there, the staff were very helpful helping us pick items.We ended up getting the whipped ricotta dip, babaganoush, salmon belly skewer, hanger steak, and shaksuhka. Everything turned out amazing and we actually ended up getting a total of 3 extra pita orders as we were eating.Would highly recommend their whipped ricotta dip, that was the highlight of the night”

The drink menu is limitless! from hot toddy to cilantro infused tequila to classics old fashioned, I like the creative names, we had two drinks and both came out delicious, balanced and eye pleasing! there's plenty of seating for everyone, from booth seats that can seat up to 4 facing the bar, to the intimate 2 seaters in the back and a group by the back door, which also leads to garden seating i have yet to explore! with that being said, I will def coming back! just wish they have happy hour specials!”

“I usually don’t step foot in Brooklyn but when you’re here, might as well try what is heavily recommended, and that came in the form of Ugly Baby! We were instantly welcomed and you’re treated to a cozy little place that is so colorful! It instantly cheered up my cold wet self since it was raining outside. The waiters were so patient with explaining the levels of spice, and so so sooo attentive with everything! The food was amazing, we had the Panang Nuer (Beef shank and cumin red curry) and the Gai Nor Mai Dong (Chicken thigh, pickled bamboo shoot, red curry) this was their fabulous winter menu! Endless amount of refillable rice, since I had a lot of them, was a must for all the meat we got in the Panang Nuer! Gluten free is also marked clearly on the menu with an asterisk. Highly recommend coming here! A short walk from the train station!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free clearly marked!”

“Pecking House had some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent times. It was elevated and you could tell there is an extra level of sophistication to their chicken. Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. Cornbread was excellent, dirty fried rice was also superb and the chili chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Can't wait to return to Pecking House in the future! Service was also excellent; super attentive and next level for a more casual place like this one. Don't sleep on the Peanut butter pudding!”

“This was one of my most pleasant dining experiences in the NYC area. This little spot located in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn is worth the trip out of the city, and certainly a trip down the street.Let's start with the atmosphere and decor. It is such a refined and beautiful room. It isn't overdone, but right up to the edge of perfection. While I was sitting there, I kept thinking that I'd like to create an interior like this.Then, the staff greeted us with such kindness. I can't tell you the times that I have entered an establishment and wondered if someone even saw me. This staff was so quick to welcome us. It was almost like they wanted us there.The food was so well-plated. Before I tasted the food, I was enamored. It was almost too pretty to eat.I had the papaya salad. I loved it. It was the perfect balance of sweetness to heat. There was perfect texture. Some peanuts added with fermented fish sauce, shrunken shrimp and had a little heat, for those sensitive to that. Then, I had the duck meatballs served in a beautiful green foam on sticks. Next was the pad see ew with pork belly. I forgot the actual name and couldn't find it on the online menu. But, I didn't forget the wonderful flavors. I also had the crispy purple eggplant. It was prepared with green and yellow bell peppers in a chili pepper seasoning.This would be a regular stop if lived anywhere close, and will be must stop on my return.”

“Went with a friend before shuffleboard at Royal palms. Amazing cocktails to start, friendly bartender service at the bar. We went with a wings starter which were crispy and delicious. Buddy had beef bulgogi, I had the spicy pork. Both were delicious. Spicy pork ended up being messy with the lettuce wraps but that could be a me problem. We ended with the beignets. Incredible, felt like I was back in New Orleans.Recommend.”

“A restaurant that has been on my list for too long! Tried their winter menu and it was so good! The ricotta gnodi has the most fresh red crab. The tuna toast was so flavorful. The yellow cake is so simple yet so delicious. A good restaurant can really turn simplicity into perfection. Bar Bête really did it! The service and ambience were outstanding too! The only thing is (not the restaurant’s fault at all) I wish the party of bros were not there yelling. I think they might have some misunderstanding about the restaurant’s name. It’s not a bar. It’s a perfect spot for date nights and friends gatherings but respect other guests’ experiences first.”
