“Food 10/10Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn’t really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can’t wait to return.“
“As a New Yorker when someone suggests going out for Chinese you would normally assume, and rightfully so, that you'll end up ordering from a "hole in wall" fast food spot.Kai isn't that. It's a sit down place where you just enjoy your food in a peaceful atmosphere.The pricing was ok, but it was NYC so it was to be expected. The food however is worth the cost. Consider it something like take-out plus, Chinese food with a twist.And it is not just "Chinese" food, under the category of "Asian fusion" their menus are a little bit from the many color cultures of the East. Come for sushi, get some hot sake alongside it, with some wings and soup.It was a great place, relaxing, the music was tame and not in your face, and the staff seemed to have grown on us as time went by.Bring your family, or friends, or maybe just by yourself and have yourself some of that classic food we New York's associate as Asian.“
“Today was my first time ordering takeout from Osaka and I can say that so far this was the tastiest from the few sushi restaurants I've ordered from around the area. I know that I'll be ordering from here more often so I'm glad I took my chances and tried this establishment, as other sushi spots in the Bronx I've tried just weren't my favorite. I had 3 rolls & a miso soups. I ordered the eel avocado, AAC & sweet potato roll. All 3 were super fresh and tasty. The miso soup tasted a bit watered down but I ate it anyway. I placed an order off their website and the delivery was smooth and all food was intact upon arrival. The delivery guy was pleasant. Good delivery experience.“

“Ordered California Roll, Nicole Roll, Fried Chicken Gyoza and Thai Iced Tea through uber eatsThe food was great. Specially fried chicken gyoza. It was juicy and flavorful. Thai iced tea was also very refreshing. And they didn’t add any ice so the tea wasn’t watery but still cold enough.Only criticism would be they didnt give mayo which with sushi which is most of the time added to the side. I substituted that with my chick fil a sauce. But honestly not much of a criticism because every restaurant has their own thing.“
“If I could give them 6 stars I would, they are great!!! Went there on a date with a lovely friend expecting the usual Kosher Chinese fare that I have had from LA to Pittsburgh to my hometown here on Long Island, NY. I came expecting the food to be the normal I have expected in an inexpensive (for Kosher that is) Chinese restaurant, OK to good. However this restaurant astounded me, it was different!!!The food was fabulous!!! We both had the 'Hot and Sour' soup, and it was impressive! The temp, was just right, not luke-warm as I have come to expect in many restaurants, and, not scaldingly hot, but just right! The spices were hot as they should be, but not too hot. As I said, I was amazed!!!Then for the mains, we had, Spicy Chicken and Curry Chicken. Again the spices were quite hot, but not too, at least for me. They were just wonderful, tasty, yet with a subtle delight. It is hard to express. And we both commented how the presentation of the food on the plates was 'picture perfect.'I would suggest you go and write your own experience! I live 30 miles on the other side of the NYC metro area where traveling can be a challenge all on its own, but for this restaurant in the Bronx, NYC, NY, Kai Fan, I will be returning!!!ps I only wish they were closer to me here on Long Island!!pss I was served by one of the owners, and an owner was on duty at the cash register! A great family run operation!!Dietary restrictions: It is Kosher!!!Parking: Parked across the street at 430 for $5. After 7pm it would have been FREE!!!“
“A very interesting place. Great interior! Great service and very tasty food. The staff is friendly towards guests and with each other. Very helpful and can teach how to open Japan soda bottles. The prices are nice for such place. I loved the Seaweed and Mango salad! The rolls were marvelous. A cool love for a date or a family night!“
“Had dinner here. We went at a good time, it wasn’t crowded and we didn’t experience a wait. The chicken and shrimp was good, fried rice and noodles were excellent. Didn’t care too much for the calamari. It wasn’t flavorful or crispy at all. Would definitely come back again and try other options.“

“My daughters and I have found our favorite sushi spot. We absolutely love it! The atmosphere is low-key and has an amazing vibe. The music sets a great tone, making the overall atmosphere just perfect. Even though I highly recommend this place, I hesitate to do so because I want to keep it as our little secret. I don't want it to become overcrowded. I know it might sound shady, but this sushi spot serves the best sushi I have ever tasted, and my daughters feel the same way.“
