“Awesome Experience! The Staff was awesome, The food was awesome & they complied with my request of no added salt to our food. Some restaurants get testy when you ask them about this but apparently they understood it & i didn't have to explain anything. We all had Pollo Salteado with a bunch of sides. Their food tasted awesome! This became our new go to for Peruvian Dishes! Only thing we have left to try is the Chicha Morada we forgot to get some. Next Visit see ya'll soon!Vegetarian options: They have Veggie Versions of some of their Peruvian Dishes apart from just getting vegetables.Dietary restrictions: We asked for no salt on our main dishes but truth be told their food is decently seasoned not over done and the regular food we had wasnt salty.Parking: Its close to the Bus stop & its Queens Blvd but Meter Parking comes after it. Hard to park here on a week day before 4pm but if you are ok to walk the side blocks are easier.“
“I hated Lima beans, until I ate them at Contento. In fact, everything I ate there was perfection. My husband and I sat at the bar, which is exactly where I’d sit again. It’s cozy, comfortable and you can see some of the kitchen action as well as chat with fellow diners. The chef came out and helped us pick out a great bottle of wine. I use a wheelchair, which is what first attracted me to going to Contento. I appreciate feeling included. But I have recommended the place to friends and the next time I’m in New York I look forward to going back.“
“Te amo Mission Ceviche! My Boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The entire staff treated me like a King! The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! The food is a gastronomical fantasy. Incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, truly mouth-watering meals. My Boyfriend is from Peru and he says Mission Ceviche is like coming home for him. He is practically obsessed with the two ceviche dishes (Mixto y Classico). For me it is the short ribs. O-M-G I don’t think I have EVER had a meal so memorable and incredibly delicious. To be honest my words do not do the deliciousness of this meal justice. Simply put...it is oh so good. The short rib is cooked to perfection and is so tender you can eat it with a spoon. The accompanying sides are the perfect compliment. The sauce that’s used...I hope they bottle it because I would buy vats of it! The rice with choclo is sublime. The tres leches rich, creamy and absolutely decadent. The food is amazing. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. The music is fiyah. The location is super convenient—a half a block to the subway and Crosstown bus. What really sets Mission Ceviche apart is the incredible Maitre’d Carlos. He treats all patrons the same...from babies in strollers to celebrities. He is so incredibly kind, humble, gracious, charming, intelligent, professional and inspiring. He is passionate and proud. It is awesome to see him keep the atmosphere ebullient and festive and the food flowing. He manages it all so effortlessly. I think it is because he honestly loves his chosen career and when you’re happy and you know it “work” is pure joy. That joy Carlos gives it to all of the Mission Ceviche patrons. This was not me and my Boyfriend’s first time dining at Mission Ceviche. We are now greeted by our first names when we arrive. Carlos is there and he has the biggest smile and we know that we are in great hands and know we will eat well. Every dining experience at Mission Ceviche is amazing! Go to this restaurant...make the reservation...you will not be disappointed...trust me! Bravo Carlos and the entire Mission Ceviche staff.“
“we sat at the bar tonight (sunday). our server/bar tender danny was so knowledgeable of all the dishes and how to space out each corse. also made the best old fashioned— and we have a high standard for them. will 100% be coming back with our friends.“
“Yea, this place is amazing. We were looking for a quick bite in LIC on a hot day. We were able to sit down before the kitchen break at 3:30pm to order entrees. We sat in the outdoor seating area, which had great jungle ambiance. Servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great cocktail menu. Started off with a few drinks, the pisco sours were amazing. We tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos, fresh and delicious seafood. There is limited but parking available! Overall, great food, beautiful interior decor, great service, and decent pricing for the area.“
“What a great hidden gem! The food is great and extremely fresh seafood! The ceviche mixto was flavorful and great portion to share. The highlight of the meal was the dessert, homemade ice cream that was creamy and unique! Will definitely go back!!“
“Food amazing, staff amazing, hospitality amazing. Everything was very fresh, seafood cooked perfectly and the corn nuts are fun. Came with a large party and Tito took care of us, if you’re on the fence about dining here, you shouldn’t be.“
“When I found out this family business is co-owned by a fellow Queens College Alum, I had to come!!! It's so inviting and the hostess (sister) was more than accommodating. We were seated quickly and we were able to see the menu both print and via QR Code. We (my husband and I) loved the drink we had as well as the Aji Galina and Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Extra sauces and a small corn based appetizer was given right away as well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom, which has a urinal and normal toilet, also ADA/wheelchair friendly. The music was excellent too. The fact that this is also family friendly is the ultimate selling point. There's something on the menu for everyone. I will definitely come back with my in laws! This is the freshest, best Peruvian in NYS!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE SUCCESS AND DECADES IN BUSINESS!“
“Tasty Peruvian food in the neighborhood! Everything was seasoned well and balanced by the mild sweetness of chiacha morada we had as well. Really enjoyed the pasta, it was creamy but not heavy. And always a fan of Peruvian style chicken. Portions were also generous. Loved trying the lucuma ice cream and picarones for the first time too, ended up eating them together and the fresh warm picarones paired well with the cold ice cream. Flavors were great. Need to swing by for a weekday lunch at some point! Service was also super fast and helpful.“
“Glad we found this place while searching for a lunch spot in Harlem. The service was super warm and friendly (¡gracias, Pablo!), and we can highly recommend the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz Chaufa Mariscos, which were both delicious. I've already bookmarked this place and will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.“
“I had such a great time at Dora's Thursday happy hour. Great place to reunite with friends. Food was good, drinks well priced and the owner was a delight. My steak came out a little less red than I like but the flavor was delicious. One of my friends requested to add chicken to her pasta and the owner was happy to accommodate and my friend loved her dish.Vegetarian options: No meat Pasta, salad and vegetable dishes were on the menu .Dietary restrictions: There was enough of a variety for all to enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: There was a gentleman in a wheelchair that appeared to be able to get around easily. Spacious dining area.“
“Great music, great atmosphere. We had a good service, they forgot one of us and the others had to wait for us to eat all at the same time… Food was delicious, drinks too. I feel it was maybe a little bit pricey, specially on the drinks side but we had a great moment and we could definitely go back anytime.“
“Mia was great first time coming to this spot and I enjoyed it, the mimosa was hitting ! Definitely a spot to come back tooVegetarian options: Good options for all food choicesParking: Weekend parking will be perfect or you can get on the meter“
“Well, the place is very nice, the service in general is very good, I recommend it 100%, it covers all expectations, greetings to inca paisa!!!! Katherine, Valentina and Sthephany very good serversParking: Very good, very reliableKid-friendliness: Of course the atmosphere is familiar“
“Came by for an early dinner on a Saturday night. This place is a little outside the busy main Astoria area. The outside looks very minimalistic you wouldn't know it's Peruvian just passing by. From the drinks to the entree, everything was tasty and portioned well although slightly on the pricier side. One cocktail, fruit drink, arepa small dish, ceviche mixto, and entree came out to $100 after tip.“
“This place surprised me brunch is a must here great music live dj great vibes awesome staff good drinks well priced brunch menu and drinks overall this place is solidVegetarian options: Definitely will be happy hereDietary restrictions: Yes they walk you through it all again manager and staff amazingParking: Parking is kind of hard but not really depending on the time for brunch street parking is definitely available in the area and Sundays meters are freeKid-friendliness: Yes and again the staff and management will make them and you feel at homeWheelchair accessibility: Yeah it’s wheelchair accessible and the staff is amazing“
“This place is the best spot in uptown great food, beautiful eating area with an excellent service . I love this place since they open in our neighborhood is a family owned business that will exceed anyone's expectations if you can't afford traveling to Peru like me this restaurant is the closest thing to it. I highly recommend this place unbelievable Peruvian cuisine ceviche and lomo salteado taco Tuesday is a most . Affordable $$“
“We ordered the ribs platter and the ribs and chicken platter. Everything was delicious. The ribs were dinosaur sized and were delicious. I deducted one star cause it was pricey and the rice was undercooked. I saw this restaurant on IG so I wanted to try. Drive from other side of Queens. If in the area, I will buy.“
“The food here is always 10/10 the rotisserie chicken is always crispy and delicious, and the rice and beans are always hot!! The little onion sauce is DELICIOUS!!! It’s spicy and makes the food super super good! I definitely recommend this place! Also the prices are really really affordable!!“
“Absolutely fantastic, I've been meaning to come here for a year and finally did. Service was excellent, food was great, extremely quick, and very reasonably priced for LICTheir HH drink menu looked good too although I didn't partake“
“Absolutely delicious and stunning restaurant! Some of the best drinks I’ve had so far and I love that they all give you a taste of Peru with authentic and unique Peruvian fruits and flavors. I had the ceviche de pescado, chaufa de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. Super fresh and flavorful. The drinks and food complemented well and the dessert was the cherry on the cake! Definitely recommend as a must try if you’re in the area. Worth your time and money.“
“Great authentic Peruvian food , the best ceviche that isn’t ridiculously overpriced in the city ! As a person who comes from South American background and grew up in Queens going to many Peruvian restaurants the flavor is definitely worth the trip to Essex Market in LES if you want an authentic ceviche mixto in Manhattan.“
“Must visit we had a great time and food was delicious, sure will be back to try other dishes. Fresh food ceviche, steak on point beer nice and cold. Prices very affordable. Keep up great service as well our waitress was very frendly and what i like the most she always came back and ask we were doing if we need anything else .. see you soon again“
“Came to this place today, Sunday, for early lunch with the family. Since we were the only customers at that moment, we knew that we would get our orders pretty fast and we were all hungry. The place looked great and food even better! Anticuchos and Jalea is what we ordered appetizers and the specials of the day, Baked Fish and Arroz de Mariscos were really delicious. The classic Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken could not be forgotten which was just as good. Definitely recommend this place. Wished I had my phone to show how great all our orders looked. We’ll be back whenever we are in the area for sure!!“
“PROs - food taste , location , price , food quantity CONs - service , ambience , spacing between tables !! 3.5 stars First timer . Wanted to try something new and spotted this restaurant in Google with 4+ review. First of all , it was a little tough to spot this restaurant .. it got lost to the restaurant next door called Babylon :). Wish they had some side boards . Price wise it was ok. Paid about 15 $ for lunch special .. service could be better . The women who took order didn't want to answer me about the menu. I'm new to Peruvian cuisine and didn't know what each food meant . Good was actually delicious . Loved the quarter chicken .. it was really tasty and well made . Salad was ok. Rice and bean was so good . There was very less space between tables .. you are almost sitting very close fo the next table and whatever they speak , you can hear and it's kinda not that good . Just for the food I gave 4 stars . Wanted to give 3 stars but 1 more star for the chef ..“
“The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, the music is just enough to enjoy the dishes of Peruvian food, which in my opinion is one of the best. The waitress Claudia was very attentive, very friendly 10/10 highly recommended, thank you Lima for giving us this incredible experience.“
“Cute spot. I went for happy hour on a Monday. Everything my friends and I had was delicious! We had the Guac and chips, Arepita Sliders, Chicken Taquitos, the Salmon entree, and the chicken entree. The drinks were great too. I had a strawberry and mango non-alcoholic mojito. My friends the coconut, passion fruit, and blackberry mojitos. They said theirs were nice and strong too. My friend also ordered the tres le he cake and said that it was delicious! I would def go back!“
“Without a doubt, the Ecuadorian cuisine in this restaurant is very tasty. The atmosphere is very calm and comfortable to spend time with family and friends. I like to visit during Happy Hour and cool off with a margarita. Excellent service, Gil is a very attentive worker, very friendly and every time she serves me I feel comfortable since she always serves me with great kindness. I recommend this restaurant 100% and ask for Gil, she and her team will make you feel at home.“
“Fantastic food and service! I originally tried to order on Uber Eats and the restaurant website online for delivery, but neither would allow me. I finally called the restaurant who graciously offered to deliver to Astoria without hesitation, on a snowstorm day (of course I added tip to my order, that was incredibly kind). The food arrived with a very kind gentleman, and it was absolutely delicious! Very happy with this place - will definitely be back :) ..thank you so much!“
“Service was very polite and fast, food was fresh and tasty as well as plentiful. We had leftovers. We also got a discount for paying cash.Vegetarian options: They have Beans, Waterdress, Salads.Wheelchair accessibility: Walkin entrance no stairs.“
“Actually the best food i’ve had in New York City out of the 6 years I’ve lived her. Come here. It’s is so incredibly delicious. Amazing food. Pisco Sour, Lomo Saltado, Civiche, Fried Yuca. Amazing, Still coming back 2 years later and I love it here“
“Amazing food :) some of the best, if not the best, Peruvian food in nyc ❤️ tastes like some of the good stuff you can find in Lima. The wait staff is so friendly and lovely. I took my friend here for the first time and he fell in love with the cuisine. You won’t be disappointed if you come here :)))) xo “
“Everything was absolutely delicious. The octopus was so tender and flavorful. The guacamole was fresh with just a hint of spice. Cocktails and dinner were amazing and the flan was out of this world. Freddy our waiter was a pleasure. He was so helpful and guided us well. We can’t wait to come back!!“
“I find myself coming more and more to this hidden gem. This place stands out from its counterparts due to its fresh food and fantastic service. You might have a slight longer wait than in other places but!! the food is done to order and not sitting under a heating lamp.Adding this place to my weekly rotation for sure. I’ve ordered delivery from Warique at least five times now and, if done/ordered within a reasonable distance , it gets delivered quite fast.I’m looking forward to trying to the rest of the menu.“
“Gone here about more than a handful of times, love it each time. Food feels fresh and at great quality, never regret eating anything here especially if it has steak in it. Always recommend my friends and family to come here. I truly appreciate the variety of dishes they have on the menu. Favorite restaurant!“
“Wow, I enjoyed this menu. Great Latin dishes like classic carne asada, ceviche, empanadas, cheese bread, arroz con camarones, lots of seafood, yummy yucca fries, a variety of home made fish stews and soups. Daily lunch specials make this place a great value. Table service or bar seating available. Every server was friendly and hospitable. Totally will return, especially for the lomo saltado de carne y pollo. And the tres leches dessert!“
“Very good food served out of a taco truck. They have been on 57th st and 8th ave as of late. The food is solid. The tortas are the best thing on the menu. The salsas are good. The prices fair. The chichi morra drink was just OK though. Sort of like the Mexican hibiscus drink but not really worth $3. The guys are friendly and they accept credit cards. Usually a small line during lunch. But it moves fast.“
“This place was great the chicken was perfectly cooked and the passion fruit margarita was hands down the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot I had 6 of them this day maybe to much but I definitely enjoyed them love this place definitely recommendDietary restrictions: Just tell your waiter and they will help youKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly“
“The good is still very good I haven't been here in 6 years, small little. Ozzy restaurant service is good the staff friendly the ambiance it's nice family friendly, nice to bring date , they do have a variety of good so read the menu well food is delicious. This place has been around for over 20 year, last good restaurant in the area“
“Excellent service - hospitable and gracious. Inside was clean and warm, exposed brick with full wine racks on the walls and a bottle on every table highlighting their selection. Music was low but lively - setting a good mood for conversation. This would be a great date location or a place to have a quiet meal with a friend. Hidden Peruvian gem in Wooodside. We tried the special - a sampling of many of their dishes. This place does fried stuff well. The ceviche and dish similar to paella was okay. What stood out to us was their hot sauce - they should bottle the stuff - perfect heat, vinegar, and sweetness ratio, hurts so good! We hope to be back!“
“My husband and I had the green pepper steak with yellow rice and an avocado salad and he had a a nutty punch (I ? that's what is called) and I had a coconut mojito. My son had crispy shrimp (10) with yellow rice. My daughter had French fries and fruit punch. It was a flawless meal for everyone! Everything was flavorful, the sauce in the pepper steak is the best in the city (flornde mayo standard). This new location was spacious and comfortable, not as tight as at 101 (the og location) even though it's is smaller. The gentleman that makes the drinks and waited on us was wonderful (I forgot his name bc of his drinks ?) he was attentive and made some good drinks. one drink was all I needed to fail a straight line test to the restroom, not drunk but definitely tipsy. My husband had another lol.Tip** Don't forget to order the spicy sauce that comes with the half a chicken, its amazing!Overall we had a great dinner, kids were happy and we were happy. We will go this spot more often it's closer to home and the food is still amazing.Oh and when you order the kids a fruit punch, it's real juice mixed together (used for the sangria I believe).Kid-friendliness: One of the hostesses was amazing to my 2 kids age 3 and 11. She was very thoughtful and was so kind, she even went to the store and brought them candy! I mean not 2, a bag full with two of everything, one in pink, one in blue. From kinder to gummies, ring pops and sour straws. So, she is either is really sweet or hates parents ? but seriously I was in awe out of 40yrs in NYC I have never received such consideration and such a genuinely nice gesture/and such above and beyond customer service.“
“Everytime I come to this restaurant, the servers make you feel right at home. The resturant is family friendly and is also a very comfortable environment. And of course the food is fantastic, as well as the prices. All around, it's a win win at the Caravan??“
“What a wonderful surprise this place is wonderfully decorated from the glassware to the walls, no details were forgotten even the bathroom looks great. Now the food, we had apps that were like full meals. The leche de trigueros was my favorite but everything was tasty and authentic. Don’t forget to try their pisco sour with that tangy but sweet chicha morada flavor!“
“What a find! I was trying in vain to find a table on Saturday for that night and Pollo D'Oro popped up as an option. We are so glad to we picked it! The food and drinks were delicious, the service friendly and the portions sizeable- so much so that there are inevitably take home trays at your table. It is very low key, so you can easily feel comfortable in any attire. We will definitely return and order takeout! Highly recommend.“
“The flavors here are unique and amazing! My party of 2 ordered 6 tapas and the churros for dessert, which came out to be a perfect amount of food. The most outstanding dishes were the lamb chops, soft shell crab tempura, and warm mushroom salad, but everyone was quite excellent! I'll definitely remember this place for another special occasion!“
“Loved it!!! Bread with Chicharron, ceviche and its Good Tamal!!! the next time they realize to place their sweet potato. I am Colombian but my Peruvian husband both watched the Vice documentary on Youtube and I told him to go buy one and we really loved it. We only lacked the picarones and obviously try their lunch. VERY RICH ?“
“Delicious Peruvian Chinese fusion plus some typical Peruvian dishes. We stopped in on for lunch, and figured we'd try one of each. The fried wontons (wonton frito), were crispy and the spiced meat filling was unique and delicious, as was the sweet dipping sauce. The lomo saltado entree was luscious, tender beef, tomato and red onion flavored with cilantro (which I don't always love) in brown gravy over French fries and with white rice too. My husband soaked up every bit of leftover gravy with his rice. The owners are friendly, but speak mostly Spanish, so be prepared to point if you don't speak any. They were kind enough to gently correct my very rusty Espanol. The place is bright and clean, including the restroom. We'll be back.“
“Came in around 7 on a Friday night. Found parking s few blocks away. I’m not naive. I know it’s Brooklyn but the walk from the car to the spot was sketchy. Some kids aimed a colorful nerf/ water gun at me. I didn’t like that. But once inside all the riffraff of the block is forgotten. The lightning, the murals, and the decor have a really nice vibe. They had some music playing and the ambiance was chill. There was one other table occupied at the time and the space was nice and open with a spot in the back for live music I’m assuming. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and helped us with suggestions. She was able to accommodate our little side requests and chances to the menu.I order the fish tacos and the corn on the cob. I had the sangria/margarita drink which was super overpriced but good. The fish tacos were good not out of this world but a good size with a good amount of fish. I added some hot sauce and it hit the spot. The corn was flavorful and tasty. It was cut up into 3 pieces. My friend ordered the fried fish entree with a seafood crème sauce and substituted the rice for beans. Along with the montaditos (one beef, one chicken, and one veggie) and the passion fruit fizz for drinks. It was a good portion of food. She had lots to take home. It had oysters and crawfish. The sauce was delicious. The drink was strong and tasty. This spot was good. In the area, I’d def come back. There wasn’t a happy hour for Friday but other days sound good.“
“Great service! We enjoyed our dinner. It was my first time having beef heart and it was quite delicious. The chicken -pollo a la brasa is always amazing and so well seasoned. The skirt steak was good but I felt the portion of the steak could've been a tad bigger. The taxi tacu rice was yummy! Overall it was a satisfying dinner. We had their ice cream and it was unique flavors...I would recommend that you try it.“
“Being a peruvian giving four stars is a huge deal for me. Especially considering I love cooking peruvian myself. I'd recommend their Lomo saltado a Peruvian must and their Arroz chaufa. Definitely get one of the Bundles if you're coming with a large party. Their aji is a bit lacking and they've raised their prices quite a bit over the years which is understandable but at the same time their service should reflect it to an extent. I work in the service industry and would expect better service basics. IE. More menu knowledge and friendlier service as well as water refills. With that being said I'd still recommend and enjoyed it having ordered out and dined in dozens of times.Vegetarian options: Salads your usual.Parking: It's right on queens blvd so parking is trickyKid-friendliness: Defintely kid friendly fries chicken not too complex“
