The half chicken dish is simply unbelievable - in a class of its own.If there were any disappointments it was only because many other dishes performed so well. My tacos are great on their own but will not be the stars of the show. The maple ice cream is very good but a bit strongly flavored for the end of the night.We will return, probably many more times.“
“We often go to Valley Harvest when we don't feel like cooking. Great salads and decent sandwiches - the hot dog is good too. The best thing about this place is the ice cream. Micro batches of really unique flavors. A word of caution - it does take a while for the food - lots of locals call ahead for orders or do take-out. Otherwise it's a favorite!“

“This was our second visit to Miss Lucy's. We were here in 2021 , too. We had the PLT which was like a BLT but with pork belly. It had a nice sauce on it. We had it with fries. We share the same with a bowl of tomato bisque. It was creamy and tasty. Don't miss it if you like tomato bisque. The homemade lemonade complements it will. We ended with sharing mocha crème d'pot. The creamy top was awesome for both of us. I am not a fan of coffee so I didn't eat the bottom portion of the dessert. The service was good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.“

Steaks are accompanied by a sauce of your choice, all very good (the habanero is my favorite). The burgers are flavorful, with the merguez spiced lamb-burger a particular treat. Service is friendly, the food arrives in a timely manner, and the bar has a good variety of cocktails and beers. The whole experience is fairly priced. All told, Flatiron remains a reliable fixture in the region if you're looking for a good steak or a just a few apps and a beer.“

Everything was wonderful, and I've received lots of compliments on the food! “One of my favorite places to have breakfast on a Saturday morning is The Hudson Valley Dessert Co. Connie and everyone at the bakery always put love into everything they make! This morning I got an egg and Asiago sandwich with avocado and homemade sausage that they make there! It was (and always is,) delicious! I got a cup of hazelnut hot chocolate to have with it!(Please forgive the half-a-sandwich photo. An explosion of savory salty flavors.The sandwiches are good quality, and really well thought out on how much of each ingredient they have. So I went and filled an application out for the Home Health Care Aide and I did my interviews and met with the manager Brooke and started not to soon after- one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was going in and filling the application out - Vitaliy and his managers Brooke and Julie are all the best people to work for! They actually acknowledged me not even a month into working for him about how good I’m doing - that meant everything to me, the fact that they pay attention and care about their employees and clients and also customers is a beautiful rare thing.The restaurant is a very homey place. I’m new and my husband is a veteran and he has a hard time being around people and even he loves it. My kids love going to play ping pong while the adults play pool and listen to music. It’s just an amazing atmosphere with people who make you feel like your family. My family lost everything to hurricane Ian in Florida and had to move back and the employees AND THE CUSTOMERS ( I’m telling you once you meet them and they like you and you them it’s a family - they look out for each other!! ) all rallied up to make sure we have what we needed for our apartment.I am a very outspoken, outgoing, blunt, rare individual and I’m very opinionated- I would not lie to anyone about anything- but I PROMISE you that you will love the Bar/Restaurant and everyone inside it.Thank You to everyone for making us feel welcomed! “The four of us had a wonderful evening at the Universal Cafe last night. Dinner was absolutely delicious, creatively composed, and I can’t wait to return. Located in Germantown, NY only 30 minutes away from Rhinebeck, it’s a hidden gem that was the perfect spot on a cold Winter’s night. I started my meal with thinly sliced sweet Cara Cara oranges on a pool of peppery olive oil with crushed pistachios served ice cold… so refreshing after the decadent pâté appetizer. My cod entree was beautifully cooked and served with a silky root vegetable purée. The chocolate pot de crème finished the meal and was so good. The portions were generous, the prices very reasonable, and our server was super charming. Thank you for a wonderful night!“
