“We visited Pio Pio at Glen Cove with a large group not too long ago.The whole group enjoyed the various dishes they selected. The space is open and had a bar towards the back. The establishment also offers valet parking.I wouldn't mind visiting more often if it wasn't so far north. All in all, I would visit again when close to the north shore.“

“When I found out this family business is co-owned by a fellow Queens College Alum, I had to come!!! It's so inviting and the hostess (sister) was more than accommodating. We were seated quickly and we were able to see the menu both print and via QR Code. We (my husband and I) loved the drink we had as well as the Aji Galina and Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Extra sauces and a small corn based appetizer was given right away as well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom, which has a urinal and normal toilet, also ADA/wheelchair friendly. The music was excellent too. The fact that this is also family friendly is the ultimate selling point. There's something on the menu for everyone. I will definitely come back with my in laws! His menu NEVER disappoints the fish sliders were crispy delicious w the salsa criolla, they customized my stuffed tostones with a creamy delectable shrimp salsa, the fried causa was a combination of creamy & crunchy fingerlicking deliciousness. The salchipapa sausage was reminiscent of what my husband ate when back home in Peru and the Lomo steak fries just were perfectly seasoned Lomo crispy fries delicious in every way and the servings were plentiful! “Excellent Peruvian food in Port Chester. The ambiance is bare-bones, with huge TVs on either side of the dining room so that you will be watching something however your chair is facing. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is some of the best in Westchester. Everything is phenomenal, from the soft, warm, toasty rolls they bring you in the beginning, which come with both butter and a spicy green sauce, to the main courses. I am a big fan of fried fish, which is fried tilapia. It comes with either French fries and salad or rice and beans. I have also had the bistec milanese and sampled the lomo saltado- everything is delicious. The best side you can order here is the sweet maduros/platanos which come out very hot, but are some of the best I've ever had.“

“Few restaurants are consistently better on every visit, Capers is one. We went with another couple for dinner. Wine was Ken Wright Pinot Noir-excellent. Appetizers were Squid and Tricolore Salad. Salad was very good, didn't try the Squid, but it smelled incredible. Entrees were Chicken Martini, Mussels, Short Ribs and Yellowfin tuna.- all very good. Service is great.“

Wanting to stay with Peruvian food I was familiar with, I went with: Chupe de Camarones; Ceveche de Pescado; and Saltado de Camarones.The shrimp soup was a little different, but as good as, any that we have had in this area. The broth had a little more milk than others and I don't believe I've ever had a couple of small pieces of chicken in the soup either.The "stir-fry" shrimp, with scallions, tomatoes, and peppers over French fries w/a nice side of white rice was very tasty.The marinated mixed fish was extremely fresh and properly marinated at the same time. It is one of the very best Ceveche's we've had in a very long time!Will we be back.....?We can't wait to sample the rest of their menu.“

“I got the chicken empanadas and at first I was really happy with them! The potato inside was incredibly tender and the empanada shell (?) was perfectly crispy, the salsa was also very good! Unfortunately, I wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken inside. The 2 I got both had a lot of weird fatty pieces that ultimately turned me off despite the initially great flavor. Pro-tip, definitely know your order in Spanish before going in! When I was there, the nice young lady who took my order didn’t seem to speak english so a customer helped me out :)“
