“For an airport? This was amazing. Definitely expensive but it's worth it in my opinion. Had the chicken Parm sandiwch, fries and a pepsi, tho you can get tap water for free. With tip and taxes it was 40$. But to get mediocre airport food, Id rather pay extra and get good food.“

“I was eying this place ever since moving into the neighborhood and I finally visited when family came into town. The place held up to my expectations I can see why it is always busy. The staff is friendly, we did not wait for a table, and everything was served in good time. For food we did steak, salmon, lemon potatoes, and calamari, everything was so so good and the portions were big. I will definitely be coming back“

“Ordered on ubereats food came hot well packaged , ordered lamb gyro, chicken gyro and wedges, lamb gyro was not tasty, it was abundant with lamb chucks adequate amount of white sauce ( which also was not tasty), pita ( was soft and fresh), onions and cucumbers helped a bit, chicken gyro was way more flavorful would by that again and the wedges were good“

“Came here on a Saturday night with reservations. Very lively. Waiters were attentive. The shrimp saganaki was flavorful. The octopus was exceptional. The lamb chop was delicious. Wasn’t a big fan of the baked clams. They were too oily and not fresh. I don’t think the waiter seemed to care when my friend told him. However, we had a good time as the drinks were good.“

“Had a 'dinner' of appetizers here with the family. Something for everyone-from the vegan, the vegetarian, to the carnivores. We enjoyed the fava beans dish, loved the liver and sweet reads, and the meatballs. Atmosphere was quiet, and the spot is small, so for a larger group-we we're 5 people, I'd make a reservation. Food came out super fast, and the staff was very friendly. Next time we will try the dishes.“

“Great sea food (not a restaurant) place. Leave your ego outside before you enter here b/c it’s an ego free business. Find a table to sit. Choose your fish and give it to the person at the register, tell him how you want it to be cooked and don't expect anything else. This is NOT a restaurant. it's a FISH MARKET with some tables.“

“Nisi's atmosphere is immaculate--all white interior and the sounds of beautiful Greek music. The service was great too and they were helpful to tell us that the lemon potatoes are vegan! Menu clearly marked to show vegetarian options. The horiatiki salad and the fresh galaktoboureko were my personal favorites. Food on the pricier end, but then again, it's a whole lot cheaper than a flight to Greece...Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available, but somewhat limited to mezzes (appetizers)“

“Their falafel mahshea might be my new favorite falafel in Queens. Stuffed with feta cheese and green olives. Served fresh and hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They have another version stuffed with eggplant and harissa that I’ll have to go back and try. Really enjoyed the chicken shawarma bowl too. The toppings and sauces made this a great dish — artichokes, garlic eggplant, feta cheese, garlic sauce and harissa. They also have excellent lemonades. I had the peach ginger and my husband had the Moroccan mint. They have a lovely covered backyard to eat in. Great choice for lunch or dinner near the beach.“

“Cocktails are incredible. Service is unmatched. Space is gorgeous. And yes, their employees are paid fairly. I own a cocktail bar in the neighborhood and know that someone has targeted them (along with their friends) with a series of unfair reviews. Ironically, they seem to not realize how this affects a business and in turn how much money is made by those who work at said business. I do not believe that recent bad reviews have been made in good faith. Anyone who’s been here knows it’s fantastic :)“

“I don't ever really write reviews, but after today's visit I wanted to share. I have been going to Cafe Turkey since they first opened, the food is very yummy, fresh, the service is amazing. Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. They were getting ready to close, no one was there but they opened the back area for me to have dinner, turned on the heat, let me take my time to eat didn't rush me, AG was very welcoming and so kind to check if I needed anything and let me stay after they close for the day. It felt like a family not a just business. Thank you AG for making my night feeling so welcome at my local favorite restaurant in Astoria.“

My favorite was the seared foie gras, which stood out for its flavor. The service was great and made our dining experience pleasant. “Had a gathering today w approx 30 family and friends, the food from start to finish was beyond SUPERB, they truly deserve Zagat rating. The fried calamari was better than Greece stated by my sister in law who was there in September, antipasto, appetizers, fish, chicken kabob on skewers were tremendous we couldn't get enough we were licking our fingers. I personally would rate them at 10, the owner Jenny is a gem. Will be back to try their grilled Octopus.Parking: Private parking lot in back of building, not a long walk if you know how to park at least 20 cars.“

“Beautiful large space with outdoor seating, inside seating and bar seating with open walls during nice weather. Happy hour specials Wed/Thur/Sun 2 people on a Wednesday night, happy hour drink specials before 8 pm. Beautiful Spring night so we started with the walls open where we were seated. Friendly and attentive and helpful staff. Couldn't decide between the sesame coated feta or the halloumi fries so we got both and they were amazing. We went with the smaller order of feta cubes (3 pieces) instead of the large (5 pieces) and it came with pita bread that we happily dipped in the honey from the feta. We also shared the fish special of the day - beer battered cod with beetroot and garlic potatoes (skordalia?). We also has the happy hour special white wine (half price!). I definitely want to come back and try more food and try their brunch, plus possibly their bottomless brunch drink option. My friend lives near here and said she tried their brunch in the past and recommends it. I also want to try their cocktails. My friend said they're very good here but I noticed they are a little pricey and I didn't want to overdue it on a weeknight. So glad I finally made it here and definitely want to come back soon!“

“Rice and chicken were flavorful. The salad was also very tasty, I liked that it wasn't just lettuce and tomatoes like most places. It had that and red/purple cabbage, cucumbers. Attendant was patient and attentive, and lots of traffic in the store, very well for owners and a testament to the quality of meals served here.“

“We have ordered from Shawarmania in the past for our office meetings, and we ordered from them for our student event this time (30 people). Their shawarmas are delicious and everyone enjoys the food. The quantity is great, and Omar was kind enough to bring us a complimentary baklava tray with our order. He always arrives on time or before time (which is much appreciated). We will be ordering from them again in the future!“

“I know this restaurant for years, live nearby. The food and service is really good, but very overpriced. The prices in the menu on OpenTable are incorrect - they are much higher on their actual restaurant menu. They even charge you with the credit card fees. Because of this I will not visit this restaurant any more. There are a lot of other great Greek restaurants in Astoria which are cheaper with the same quality of food and services :)“

“Went here for the first time tonight. Didn’t know what to expect. I have to say I loved it. The owner does everything. It’s a one man show- so byob and relax . The food was delicious. Had branzini, lamb, beef, beans, cauliflower . Owner so friendly and the prices were reasonable.. We were there 2 and half hours and could have stayed longer but I had to drive home . It’s decorated so cute with art work that the owner did himself. I highly recommend if you like this type of vibe. Got there at 6 was empty. By 6:30 place was full. So go early.“
