“We attended a Bengali wedding event here just this past week for the Gaye Holud ceremony. The event space and staff were absolutely wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and we had an extremely smooth experience. The food was well prepared and delicious. They were able to cater to both a Western and South Asian palette. The event space itself is beautiful and overall this experience was perfect for our needs.“
“At first glance, you would think this shop is just a wholesaler, but to my surprise you can actually buy boxes too!! They have a wide array/variety of sweets and all of them looked heavenyl. The gentleman whowas running the place is extremely professional and helpful. He allowed me to sample 4-5 pieces of the sweet itself. I ended up buying 4 small boxes and 2 big boxes. Toally affordable priced as well! My favorite was definitely the “Mango barfi” which is a milk based sweet. I finally have a place i can go to for all my sweet needs! Especially since it is Ramadan and sweets are necessary for every iftaar.“

A quick call and confirmed their operating hours assured us they were open. “Came here with my brother. The place is small, and at first was dark so it looked closed. There's parking in the back and when we sat down, they turned on the main lights. There are a few tables but I think their main business is takeout. At first we ordered the Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma, and Garlic Nan. The worker informed us that the two entrees came with either Nan or rice so we chose one of each. And canceled the Garlic Nan. He then upgraded our Nan to the Garlic Nan. I also ordered a Mango Lassi. Did was great. Highly recommend!“
“Came here Sunday evening. The place was empty but it seemed like they had a lot of out going orders. We ordered an appetizer of a chickpea thing and it was so yummy! All 3 of us ordered different types of chicken. All 3 were delicious. Service was fast. I wish we got more of the bread crackers with the oil in the beginning. There are mobile menus and physical menus too. I can't wait to come back or order out again. Everything was so fresh.“
“I came across Tamarind Island's Insta page and it had me drooling so I knew I had to try it. Arriving on a Saturday afternoon, it was bustling and people were in and out. There are a few tables to eat at as well as a couple of seats by the window. I can't say I ever had Trinidadian food before, but the one thing I knew I had to get was the doubles with chickpeas, because that's what first pulled me in. It was fantastic. I'm not sure I ever had chickpeas so flavorful and yummy. The bread was light and pillowy. Also tried a roti with chicken curry. The roti itself was a large portion served along side a plate of chicken curry with some potato. Another wonderful delight. The chicken was tender and the flavors, just so good. I had to stop myself from ordering more, but I am looking forward to going back for more doubles and some other dishes to try.“
“Our new favorite go-to for Indian. We have already been twice this week after finding it on Sunday. We have loved everything we have tried: Mulligatawny, Samosa Chat, Delhi ki Alu Chat, Alu Gobi, Chicken Tikka Masala & the desserts are out of this world!! “Stopped by for lunch and was happily surprised. I ordered the curry goat roti and the double with everything in it. The server was delightful and helpful. She waited patiently while I made my decision and asked which type of roti I wanted and if I wanted to include sauce or not. The food lasted me for two days and it was finger licking good.“
“I was searching the area and found this restaurant as it was the nearest one. I would like to start by saying that the paid parking is readily available. I had read great reviews about their Chicken Karahi and I wanted to give it a shot. I entered the restaurant and was greeted by an awesome server. I started looking through the menu and it was time for prayer and the nice server who was Hindu provided me with praying mat. It was a great gesture. Right after I finish praying, I placed the order for Gol Gappay, Papri Chaat, Fish Pakora, Fries, Lahori Chicken Karahi, Beef Nihari, Butter Naan, Cheese Naan, Mango Lassi and Sweet Lassi. I must say that their Chicken Karahi and Beef Nihari is definitely the best and you should try it. Everything tasted delicious as well. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The ambiance of the restaurant has only positive vibes. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are around the area.“

Apart from finger licking food you will fall in love with the customer service ?Jagmeet is awesome and provided us everything we needed after a long drive from Boston to NY. We started with Indian masala chai ☕️ and namkeen lassi followed by samosa, mutton rara, butter chicken, lacha paratha and keema Naan. Rice and salad were complimentary. We asked them to make spicy and they did awesome job. What else you need after a long drive ?The ambience is pretty desi with Punjabi songs on the Tv. Love love love everything about this restaurant. Did I mention the prices are pretty reasonable ?We are coming back for sure. Totally worth it.“
“This place is absolutely amazing. My friend told me to try Pakistani food because I love Indian and Bengali food, and I absolutely loved it. The people are very friendly, the food is amazing, the prices are amazing, and the portions are amazing. I got the seekh kabab roll, qeema naan, and a pint of kheer only for 16. Restaurant is a little worn down, but the service and food make up for it. Also try the chicken achaari and chicken biryani.“

“When my husband and I moved to Queens Village in 2017, this was our go-to spot for authentic Trini/Guyanese pastries and snacks. Their prices are fair given the location. The food has also consistently been good. We live in Westchester now and whenever we go to Long Island, we HAVE to stop here! The staff are always so kind and courteous.
