“two days ago was the first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We had great time with the efficient service, with the great food and fine drinks and with the decent pay. We will no doubt come back again.“
“If you live near Sati's Roti Shop, you should come by and check it out. I only had very high expectations only because I've heard so much about Sati's Roti Shop. Everything I had was marvelous. Team is really nice. They are quick and professional. I can come here every day.“
“Everything was great! This is my second time coming here with my girlfriend and the food was just as great as the first time. Everything was full of flavor and the service was top tier. The place is also very clean and the staff are all friendly. This is a must-visit. I highly recommend the cheese naan, butter chicken, goat briyani and mango lassi of course.“
“This restaurant was fantastic and we are so happy leaving there. They went out of their way for us, especially Monzu who went especially above and beyond to meet our needs. I had a weird request that they didn’t normally have on the menu and he made it with such pleasure and utmost hospitality. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning. Homey, cozy vibes and comfortable atmosphere. Quality food and amazing service- can’t ask for more. GO HERE!“
“We attended a Bengali wedding event here just this past week for the Gaye Holud ceremony. The event space and staff were absolutely wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and we had an extremely smooth experience. The food was well prepared and delicious. They were able to cater to both a Western and South Asian palette. The event space itself is beautiful and overall this experience was perfect for our needs.“
“Loved my time here! Amazing and authentic food. We ordered the off-menu Goan mega Thali’s that you have to call two days in advance for. We got the king fish thali, boneless salmon thali, vegetable thali, lobster tikka masala and the best chai in nyc. Beautiful decor as well!“
“Curry and Handi has delicious, truly fresh, and flavorful food. I think it is the best Indian food I have had since visiting India 2 years ago. As a vegetarian I appreciate the offerings and highly recommend the broccoli tandori. The service is excellent as well.“
“I came toward the end of their service hours, about 9:20 and was greeted warmly. Service was impeccable and the food was so delicious. I usually get Indian food in Astoria along 30th Ave. None compare to Cardamom. They are not huge and doesn’t seat many, but it is clean, well decorated and the staff is friendly and attentive.I had the lamb methi curry, vegetable samosa, naan and mango lassi. All were perfectly delicious and beautifully presented. If I were to have one complaint it would be that the methi curry could’ve been spicier since I ordered at the highest spice level and found it to be just mild. Still delicious though.I will come here instead of my usual haunts.“
“EggHolic Indian Cuisine offers authentic flavors and a welcoming ambiance. Their standout dishes include the chicken toofani, delicious wraps and freshly prepared sandwiches. Loved their attentive service especially by Nitasha and Vipul making it a must-visit for Indian food enthusiasts. Lastly, their mango mastani is sweet treat definitely worth trying.Vegetarian options: They have paneer for vegetarians.“
“I went here with my dad, it was nice, quiet, room temperature and well lit.The service was great ?? they came to check on us every few long minutes and we’re very friendly and kind. The food was so good!! If you don’t know what to order they can recommend things for you based on your taste. The garlic Nan was SO YUMMMy flavorful and soft !! And the rice was soft and the meat was well cooked and spiced. I ordered chicken Korma And my dad got salmon mansala. We both ordered a mango lassi and it’s sweetAnd smooth Everything was great I definitely will be coming back!“
“5 stars is not enoughLove the breakfast specialThe Haleem is made with beef not lamb. Everything so flavorful.Seekh kebab very well spicedGreat samosas. Daal puri good when fresh.Don't care for the rolls, biryani, or lollipopVegetarian options: Daal puri fresh hot delicious“
“The owners are amazing The inside is amazing you have to come there with your family very delicious beautiful food and I don't go out to a lot of restaurants but this is one of the best I've been to hospitality is awesome trust me.“
“At first glance, you would think this shop is just a wholesaler, but to my surprise you can actually buy boxes too!! They have a wide array/variety of sweets and all of them looked heavenyl. The gentleman whowas running the place is extremely professional and helpful. He allowed me to sample 4-5 pieces of the sweet itself. I ended up buying 4 small boxes and 2 big boxes. Toally affordable priced as well! My favorite was definitely the “Mango barfi” which is a milk based sweet. I finally have a place i can go to for all my sweet needs! Especially since it is Ramadan and sweets are necessary for every iftaar.“
“We loved the food at Kamala Kitchen. The taste and quality of the dishes were amazing. It was pure nostalgia for me to be able to experience authentic Kolkata-style Bengali food in NY. Along with the food, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Overall, the ambiance was warm and casual with awesome food. If you are in NY and love Bengali cuisine, this place is a must-visit.“
“This was a delivery order. They nailed it. The dish I ordered said spicy and I asked for it not to be spicy. Perfectly prepared ?. The food was nice and hot and the delivery man was so sweet. I will definitely eat here again. Thank you for making my night. Money well spent.“
“Jagdish and Vishala, owners of the restaurant (excuse the spelling) are very friendly. The service was fast and great, food was amazing as always (we got Gobi Manchurian Dosa and Spinach Masala Dosa this time). Only feedback would be the spice level could be more in the potato filling of the dosa. Chai at the restaurant or on the go is perfect too. I recommend anyone in the mood for yummy vegetarian Indian food to visit.“
“I visited De Tandoori Knight on a Saturday 4/6/24. I was dining alone. The customer service was excellent. The restaurant was small but very clean and organized. The prices were excellent and the portions were great. I ordered Chicken Korma with Basmati rice, regular Naan bread and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was creamy, delicious and not spicy. The Naan was good. I loved the Lassi. I had leftovers. I will definitely be returning. I am Puerto Rican and grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Growing up here there were no Indian restaurants. So happy to see more Indian restaurants now. I've been eating Indian food for about 20 years. To my Latinos try Indian food you might just love it. Not all dishes are Spicy. Visit this restaurant you may just love it like I did.“
“My fiance and I were visiting from Michigan and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant for lunch. The owner was our server. He was the nicest person! Beyond that, the food was incredible. 10/10. I wish I could go here everyday for lunch and dinner. Amazing experience.“
“In my opinion the best Indian food in the Kew Gardens area. The chicken vindaloo and garlic naan where great. My wife and I also tried the lamb biryani, which was to die for. The owner is friendly and my made our afternoon even better with his excellent and personal service.“
“The food and the ambience was great. Kids enjoyed playing at the arcade and the foos ball table. Our servers (Farhana and Naren) were really good and made sure to clearly call out the signature dish so that we could order them and all their suggestions were good. Overall a nice restaurant to visit if you are in the Queens area.“
“Hands down best dosa, idli, vada, chutney, upma, pongal, mysore pak, and madras coffee. You can do Abhishek in Ganesh temple upstairs on a full stomach. Very satisfying and may improve your karma! Just not on a weekend though when it's crazy packed.“
“We came here for the first time. We have had nepalese/ indian food in the past. This is an excellent restaurant thw atmosphere is aubdued and friendly. Not noisy at all. Our waitress Nikita was very attentive and helped us pick the house specialties.I highly recommend the mushroom chili, especially if you like spicy foods. Tou will not find this elsewhere. The fritters are also delicious as is the tikka massala. The nan is soft and buttery and flavorful. The deinks are original. I love the yak kick starter and my . wife the chapata aam.We will be coming back.“
“It was our first time here and we loved the vibe. Very Indian decor, walls donned with Indian newspapers, brought back memories from home. Super friendly owners. We started off with keema pav- delicious, spicy and great portion size. We then got chicken dum biryani and Lal Maas curry, both of which were delectable. The biryani had right amount of spices and flavors and very tender chicken. It was served with a raita on the side. Great experience will surely be back to try the other varieties.“
“I called about catering dosas and the guy was super nice and gave me details on why dosas have to be made fresh and recommended some other places that might be able to do it. This is a place that cares about food quality and not just about money. Highly recommend.“
“It is a very good place to have traditional indian snacks and food , A must try in snacks is the bun chole and aloo tikki chaat and people who have a knack for yogurt products they can go for dahi bhalla with paapdi, in food they have outstanding aloo paratha with dal tadka and sarso da “
“The food was excellent with really good flavors and at a super reasonable price point. For apps, we got the veggie samosas, which were excellent. We got the chicken tikka masala and the truffle korma with chicken for mains with a side of garlic naan and paratha.the garlic naan was INSANE- so light, crispy, and fluffy at the same time. i literally could have eaten two orders. out of the two chickens we got- definitely recommend the chicken tikka masala. It definitely a small spot, with limited space. You also get served with paper plates and take out containers, which we didn’t mind, but just a heads-up.I definitely recommend for take out and will be back!“
“If I could give this place higher than 5 stars I would. Hole in the wall with unbelievably good food. Cant go wrong here. The samosas were soooo good. Best mango lassi I've ever had too. And the service...amazing too!! Also very budget friendly! Will be back for sure“
“This is our favorite neighborhood Indian restaurant and it never disappoints. I really enjoy the takeout & eating in when I can. The staff are so pleasant & helpful. The food is what shines - so flavorful & delicious.I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars because it's nothing to write home about but it's cozy, simple & the staff make it feel warm. Highly recommend you stop in if you live in the area or are visiting - you won't be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: They're knowledgeable & were able to accommodate my gluten (wheat) & dairy (milk) allergy.“
“Great sweets. Everything was really fresh. We picked up some sweets for family and everyone loved how fresh it was. I want to go back and try other sweets and maybe some samosas and other menu items. They also let us try things too. Only issue we had was we went late and they ran out of some stuff but that’s expected late in the day I guess“
“Seva has the best Indian food I’ve ever had! My husband and I love coming here. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere makes for a relaxing date night. We love the food and always look forward to dinner here. They also have a pre fixe meal that is a pretty good deal.“
“Honestly one of the best Momos I ever had.Got Goat Momo Jhola (soup) and Buffalo momo. Amazing! Must try .However, the Roti was cold and stale , lost1 star because of that. Hopefully ongoing you correct this as it would have been 5/5.Also loved the fact the owner Yamuna was in music videos that were playing in her restaurant, very amusing!“
“A solid Tibetan restaurant in Jackson heights! I can see why the won the momo walk twice! Food: I loved the spicy chicken momos - honestly the best thing we ordered! The Singaporean noodles with chicken was also delicious and very flavorful - full of veggies! The vegetable noodles were also solid! The paneer chili was well made but the paneer itself lacked flavor! the Himalayan Thalia offered a few different things including a fondue - esque dip, fried dough, and potato, bean soup! I was not a fan and won't order this again. The veggie dumplings with potato, cheese and spinach wasn't my favorite - it was a bit sweet, which I found odd Service: great service! The space is small but packed and our waitress was lovely! Ambience: small but ample seating with outdoor and indoor seating! Nothing special! Price: for the portion sizes - great price“
“Fortune to find this beautiful restaurant while touring Jefferson Street. We loved the food and hospitality. We had outstanding biryani (trust me you will not get the same taste in USA), chicken Tikka masala, naan and delicious kheer. Everything was worth it. Wish I can come soon. Last but not the least thanks to the pretty girl who accommodate our urgency.“
“Super cozy, friendly, and delicious food. Tofu curry is a must ??Vegetarian options: Tofu Curry is awesome!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options availableKid-friendliness: Theres a bar but its pretty low key and cozyWheelchair accessibility: Small ramp right in the front door.“
“First time here and I can say the hype is real. The curry goat and the oxtail double was delicious, I got everything in it. I also got the Shark and Bake, which was outstanding. It was sweet and with the spicy sauce, you get hit with a little bit of heat, which was a nice balance. They pack it with a lot of fish. I’d advise getting everything on there. The food is affordable and the quality is there. When it came to the paying part, they are very unorganized but understandable since it gets super busy. But the lady had an attitude, when I heard the order wrong. (For new customers make sure you pay attention to the food you order.) 2 doubles and 1 shark and bake was $23. I will definitely come back.8.5/10“
“After returning from our trip, we landed at JFK airport around 11:40 PM and found ourselves in need of place to eat. We searched and found this restaurant. A quick call and confirmed their operating hours assured us they were open. Our two families settled in and enjoyed a late dinner, and we were thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the service.“
“Me and my girlfriend always enjoy getting takeout here. It is tucked away in a quieter part of Woodside and they serve high quality Nepalese food. We especially like the Thali's which consists of different kinds of food on a platter (think Banchan but larger portions). They consist of: protein (typically in a curry), lentils, vegetable curry, rice, raw red onion/lemon/slightly bitter green vegetable/chili pepper. The combination of all of these ingredients make the dish so appetizing as there are different textures and tastes.“
“This place has been pioneer of authentic Bengali food for so long. The Roast Khichuri has to be the best in NYC. We recently had a iftar with a decent amount people in our group here. The service I received was above and beyond. The very new server and the very old servers were always attentive. Sometimes it gets hectic at busy hours but that’s how food industry works.“
“Angelica is very sweet and helpful I didn’t know anything about Indian food she helped me order my meal. Goat Curry and Butter Chicken was sooo good! Highly recommend this very clean and delicious restaurant!! I will definitely be back soon!“
“OMG so delicious! It was my first time trying Indian food and the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan was like a warm hug to my soul. This place is great can’t wait to come back. My only critique is that I would’ve loved more chicken with my order it’s sliced thin and a little too sparse. But it was so yummy I wouldn’t take off a star for this.“
“There is a lack of good Indian restaurants in Queens but I can say this restaurant is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Forest Hills (and Central Queens) and one of the best in the city. It's a small restaurant but clean, minimal, and welcoming; one half of the restaurant looks basic while the other half has South Asian inspired murals which is unique. This restaurant focuses on serving popular Indian dishes loved by people in the US, so I got a basic meal of lamb biryani, butter chicken, chili chicken, and cheese naan. The lamb biryani is not made like a slow cooked biryani but it has the flavor of proper Indian biryanis, and the lamb was actually tender and not very gamey. I asked for a medium spice Butter Chicken and I must say this restaurant has some of the best butter chicken and the medium spice is tolerable. I think some people underestimate how hard making a proper butter chicken is, but many restaurants overwhelm the dish with either too much cream or too much tomato so its either too heavy/sweet or too acidic and tomatoey, but this one was very much balanced. The chicken pieces were also soft. The chili chicken was nice and spicy, with some peppers and onions, you get a nice, saucy, spicy, and crunchy dish to start off your meal. The cheese naan was a bit of a let down though, it was not that cheesy and I believe the cheese used was paneer, so it does not give the taste, feel, or pull like mozarella would. Overall, this restaurant has the best Indian food in the neighborhood and does it right. Their staff and manager are also very attentive and they make time to talk to everyone for feedback and meal requests.Vegetarian options: Lot of cauliflower, paneer, and potato dishesWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is technically in a basement but there is an elevator you can use to go down“
“During my recent visit to NY, I happened to visit this restaurant for the first time. The food was authentic and tasty. The ambience was good and the service was great. I would surely go back to this restaurant next time I visit Queens, NY.“
“We got some food packed to go. The idlis were soft and freshly prepared. Chutney was good but the sambar was watery. We also got a plate of thali. They gave us chole, daal and sabzi (veg). All the dishes were spicy for our palate.Overall a decent meal at a reasonable price.“
“This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city by far. It is open super late which is great for late night workers like myself. I am a vegetarian and there is a large selection of vegetarian options here, not sure about pure vegans but there should be plenty of options for them to as they have a large vegetarian selection with out dairy products. They are very accommodating to all dietary types on the staff is extremely friendly. I come here quite often and I’ve got to know some of the staff a little bit overtime. They know you and your order and they are very accommodating if you have any dietary restrictions. This place is a great place to bring groups of people. I particularly like the nan. Their coconut nan is really interesting and good. I always get the vegetable soup here which is excellent and they have a large selection of vegetarian/vegan type Currys of which I get many. I really like the lemon rice as well. Their samosas are really fire.Vegetarian options: Large selection of veg appetizers and mains.Dietary restrictions: Perfect for vegetarians.Parking: Lots of free parking spaces right in front of the restaurant.“
“Wow, my new favorite indian restaurant.Massive vegetarian selection. I tried the samosas which were good. but their garlic naan was the best bread ive ever tasted. Super fresh and fluffy, yet crispy. I ate the chana masala which was above expectations. The flavors were great and everything tasted freshly made.Service was ok, the employees were attentive and helpful.I will definitely be back. Very well run establishment in the heart of jackson heights. The actual restaurant vibe is ok, seats could be upgraded they are not very comfortable, the place was clean, restrooms were clean and ventilated. The doors need to be cleaned but the restroom itself was very clean which is always a good sign! Highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian options like most indian cuisine. Any vegetarian or vegan will find plenty of options that taste fantastic!“
“food and the atmosphere is amazing. Everybody was so welcoming and very open to satisfy me. I cant have spicy food and they hooked me up with food that helped me and was extremely enjoyable. Will most definitely start eating here more often and also come more for the vibes.“
“Service via Everytime I visit Queens, I make it a point to visit Singh's to get some good, authentic Trini food. From what I recall, pre-Covid Singh's was a lively restaurant where soca played through the speakers, a variety of Islanders would be liming and enjoying the vibes, and there was trini food and snacks galore. From Trini Chinese fried chicken, to doubles, to pone, chubby, shandy, and everything else that you'd want to enjoy. Since my first visit, I've remained loyal to Singh's.My last visit this past weekend, I didn't have the time to get over to their location, so instead I ordered on UberEats, grimacing at the $6.99 delivery fee. I placed my order at 6:30 a.m., since they open at 6 a.m. and received my order within an hour, delivered by a very polite young man. The food was packed very well - there was no spillage which I was expecting from the curry.I ordered pholourie (which came with TWO tasty tamarind sauces), 2 doubles, and one boneless chicken dhal puri roti. Everything tasted just like I remembered it to be. I packed some to take back with me to COS to extend the pleasure of the meal. Still, there was minimal spillage of the curry throughout my flights, so that was a huge win.Singh's thank you for your authentic Trini cuisine. I look forward to visiting your establishment when I next return.“
“We were in a mood for Indian food. The lunch specials looked good. The appetizers, Chicken Tikka and Malai Kebabp were very tasty. The entrees, Lamb Rogan Josh and Salmon Saag were both delicious and we had exquisite naan with it. At the end, we ordered an extra portion of naan and Mango Lassi. All reasonably priced. We highly recommend OM and will go back to try more delicious dishes from them.P.S. We sat outside with our dog Bruno and he got a container with water.“
“Nestled on 39th Ave, Ayna Agra is a hidden gem for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. My wife and I frequent this establishment weekly, and each visit is a culinary delight. From the warm welcome to the attentive service, the owner and his staff treat patrons like family, creating a memorable dining experience. But what truly sets Ayna Agra apart is its exceptional food. From chicken tikka masala to aromatic biryanis, every dish is a masterpiece of flavor and consistency. For an unforgettable taste of India, Ayna Agra is the perfect choice. Five stars hardly do justice to this culinary gem.“
“The food is good. Service is fast, the lady that works at the resister is nice and friendly. One thing I don’t like is the naan , when I order it to go it close to burnt or too dark over cooked so when u order remind them to not make it too dark.“
