“My favorite Mexican seafood spot in town. Their camarones sarandeados were perfect. Their aguachile verde was from heaven with the perfect amount of heat. The fish tacos are great but everything else is much better.Kicker, I’m sober and love mocktails-the virgin michilada is by far the best I’ve ever had. All in all the staff is the cherry on top, they are attentive and friendly.Being from the Pacific Mexican community, you feel so far when in New York. “I love this place. My partner and I have been here many times.The food is reliably very good. Some dishes can be a miss, but many are hits and when they hit, they really hit. The chips and guacamole and the salsas are standout-good. Last time we ordered the wings, a salad, and a shrimp dish and they were all excellent. In the past there was a skirt steak quesadilla-like thing that was one of the best things I've ever eaten - I wish they'd bring it back. Their salsa macha is excellent. Veggies and salads are often a highlight. Also, nearly everything is gluten-free. I have celiac disease and it is so nice to go somewhere where pretty much everything on the menu is safe for me to eat!On top of that, the ambience is lovely. It's a really pretty space and just pleasant to be in. I'd probably come here just for the ambience even if the food was mediocre. The staff are also lovely. The last time we ate here it had been 4-5 months since our last visit and they remembered who we were and even what we ordered last time! “Love the food here! Definitely worth the wait. I recommend the guacamole with mango and the strawberry lemonade. It does get pretty busy on the weekend so if you are in a rush come on a weekday instead! However if you are having a chill weekend definitely dine in and get a molcajete with the green sauce. “The food is delicious here ! I got the Birria deluxe. It came with a cup of consomé, a taco de birria, empanada de birria, and I want to say a quesadilla de birria but I’m not quite sure I think it’s their twist of it. Overall all three were so good my favorite was the empanada never had that with birria and my mind was completely blown away with how delicious that was. I will say it does get chaotic inside with many people ordering waiting and on top of delivery orders so the wait was on the 30-45 mins. Other than that 10/10. I did also try the agua de horchata. I won’t say it was my top suggestion for horchata I felt it more on a leche side like a smoothie almost not sure why it was made that way instead of being more on the water side like it normally is but maybe that’s just their twist to it. Other than that great food. This was all $19.. the food itself was $15 .. so I know that can be a little high for some. One taco is $5.. so I would take that into consideration for some“
“This place is a gem! Located in one of my favorite areas to visit in greenpoint. Panzons atmosphere is amazing even on a rainy day. I had to opportunity to try the new brunch menu. What a treat! Do not skip the Chilaquiles, so much flavor. The pollo torta was unique and tasty. Make sure you get the tres leches French toast for the table. Can’t wait to come back to try the tuna tostada and ceviche!“

“This is some of the best food of any kind l've had in my 45 years living in NYC. Honestly, it's amazing, chef Jose is delightful and his dishes are so nuanced and delicious. Octopus tostados are heavenly, I have no idea what all it consist of but they are delicious. There are three, I can't eat more than two but the last is always enjoyed by someone else at the table. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. I live in Manhattan and there isn't anything near me as delicious and fresh.It’s really a special place.“

Every bite was incredible but a few of my favorites was the duck, fish tacos, and fois gras. The cocktails are super innovative and delicious too.Where Xixa goes above and beyond is the SERVICE! I have a few dietary restrictions and they were super accommodating. They provided substitutes from the tasting menu to supplement the original dishes and they also skewed the menu a little in the direction ahead of time. “My wife and I came here for lunch this past Saturday and we loved it. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. We got a few tacos, a quesadilla, birria, a torta and a tequila flight, We also had a custard type dessert with a coffee based dessert cocktail. We sat at the bar and had a blast. The bartender was super friendly and informative on anything we had questions about. Watching him craft the cocktails was an experience in itself. We will definitely be back.“

“I cannot sing the praises of this place and the staff enough! We had a long day at the museum and we were all starving and the kids were very cranky. We took forever trying to find a place that they would all find something to eat at but that place didn't work out so we came here not realizing how lucky we were. After having a quick glance at the menu I realized two of my children would probably not eat anything. Two of the ladies that work there helped us work it out to piece together a meal for them with components they already have. It took quite a while figuring everything out but they were patient and helpful. The food was outstanding and the cocktails and mocktails were phenomenal. “Absolutely delicious Oaxacan food. I've always wanted to visit Oaxaca and this place definitely gave us a taste of what it will be like. The restaurant is small with a few tables but it wasn't crowded when we went for lunch on a holiday Monday. My boyfriend and I shared the mole poblano, mole oaxaqueño, and molcajete. The mole dishes came with rice, beans, and warm tortilla and I also got a small horchata. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, bursting with flavor with every bite. Nothing was too spicy but if you like sweeter things, I would highly recommend the mole poblano.“
“I have been dining at La Flor since they first opened a while ago. Chef Viko is very creative and does a regular menu plus seasonal specials. He uses farmer’s market ingredients and is very generous with the portions. Expect to see very colorful and tasty combinations. The core of the menu here is Mexican food with French and Italian notes. The home made pastries and desserts are a solid plus to the dining experience. The wine list has Ben carefully selected and the moderate prices don’t sacrifice the quality. The chips are always fresh and what you expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant.To drink the waitress recommended the spicy passion fruit margarita and it was so deliciously well-balanced with sweet, spicy and tart, that I made my friend try it and she agreed. Tía behind the bar is a Queen mixologist.The energy here is grounding, the set up is simple allowing the experience to shine. Everyone working there seems to be from Latin American, it does feel like a home kitchen restaurant. As opposed to other "authentic Mexican" places you may go in NYC where the staff are cold hipsters, the owners are wealthy investors and the chef is Indian. There's actual Mexican people chilling here. The food doesn't always come out fast, so go with people you like; don't kill the vibe.The first time I dinned here, I got the nopales tacos. They were good, I just don't think I appreciated it as much, because a month before that I had nopales tacos grilled over fire along with spring onion, topped with fresh salsas, with the grilled tortilla in the backyard of my Mexican friend's bike shop for his birthday. With a michelada! Nothing is really going to top that nopales experience. But I do recommend the nopales tacos here, I know it's hard to get that outside fire grill on food in New York indoor dining, but that flavors were good and the texture was right.If you've made it to the end of this review, congratulations, you're probably very hungry and you should just go eat at Martha's concina.Vegetarian options: I'm vegan and I was able to enjoy different plates on the separate occasions I went. Vegan dishes are clearly marked and the wait staff is knowledgeable. The Vegan/veg options are well orchestrated full meals, made from natural whole foods with developed flavors.“

But anyways the place is relatively new but it has way more to offer it’s not just a place where you get deli food but now they offer Mexican dishes. On top of that they have a variety of Mexican products! I feel right at home here. Also one of the employees told me they sell specific mexican dishes on the weekends like barbacoa.
