“Hire Frank and the crew at Bassett Caterers today! Bassett does things old school, and it was SO refreshing to be met with real customer service. From day 1, Frank was so friendly and offered utmost flexibility in every aspect. We booked Bassett and then 6+ months later when we called to talk through details, Frank was able to repeat back to me all the specifics we had mentioned on our first call! Bassett offered so much variety for our buffet, and Frank kindly added extra flare to side dishes, making it so much more than we imagined. He and his crew were efficient and set up our tables exactly as we requested, and kept snacks in the bridal suite all night. They even put together an ice cream sundae bar for us! The presentation is no frills but still elegant, just like we hoped. Everything was reasonably priced and everyone had plenty to eat, and all Frank's suggestions were worth it. They are real pros!“

“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. Change the price on the website before you charge customers and add on an additional $3 per person. Parking also was difficult because there are signs all over the streets no parking. If Mystic comes back I’ll go but won’t go anymore on principle of the raised price without it matching the website and their cashiers window. Unfair. And many people were complaining about this.“

Then Rolando surprised us with delicious cannoli on the house in honor of us becoming grandparents, which was very thoughtful! I’m Italian so my standards are high, and our meals tasted like being back in my grandma’s kitchen! We went back for lunch the next day in the front room. I was planning to have Pistache NYC cater my New Year's Eve party since he came so so highly recommended. I spoke to Yvan multiple times with many changes, where he had to draw up new menus which he did without any objection. It turned out I had to cancel due to medical reasons. He was so gracious, not only refunded all the money although I had insisted he keep a portion since I had to cancel, HE ASKED FOR MY ADDRESS AND DROPPED OFF A BOUCHE NOEL!!!!!I am in awe of Pistache NYC and Yvan Bedouet and can not wait to have them cater my next party.Thank you“

“We recently held a fundraiser at the World's Fair Marina and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The staff from the beginning were extremely accommodating and made sure to take care of us as we were busy hosting the fundraiser. They even came by and hand delivered drinks and came to us with a plate of appetizers. The little things matter! The room was set up beautifully with pink decor and the room brought tears to many eyes as we threw this fundraiser for an amazing friend of ours. The food was absolutely delicious. We had lemon piccata, pepper steak, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka plus salad. It was an amazing spread and people went up for seconds. My kids loved the rice in particular and especially the dessert table of pastries and fruit. The bar tender was a sweetheart and their homemade fruit punch is so tasty. It's virgin so kids had it and they loved it. Adults added some liquor and wow - amazing cocktail. Without a doubt, this venue is the place in queens to hold a party. Barely 2 days before Christmas Eve I frantically called every restaurant/caterer that I knew. Adrian and Rocky's was referred to me and was literally my very last phone call. They were wonderful and accommodating and even though catering orders for Christmas Eve were already closed as I expected, they graciously took my order. The fish was super fresh, and so delicious.
