“HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Our five-year-old daughter spotted the place; so on a whim we tried it, and we love it. Now we come as a family all the time. There is such a wide variety of food choices, everything is so tasty. Little Kamaria’s favourite is the Seafood Bat Pizza, I can’t get enough of the Korean wings. Mom loves their unique take on Nachos. Each visit we’ll try another new dish! The staff are super friendly too.“
“A phenomenal meal that l will go down as one of the best I have ever had. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and couldn't have asked for anything better. We were there for almost 2 hours, but service was wonderful and attentive throughout and the dishes in the tasting menu were all so unique and special. We arrived shortly after they opened on a weekday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Because of that, Chef Liu came out and served us a bonus dish that ended up being our favourite of the night. Definitely made our experience a memorable one.“
“I love this place. The staff were very warm and welcoming. They brought out appetizers immediately upon sitting and helped us with our order. The meat cut selection was rather diverse compared to other bbq places and the food was very good.“
“The food was amazing. Price is good the taste. Service is ok. I told the waiter to add an extra bao for to go instead the order came all 3 together. Server said he is going to make sure another one will be ready for to go but then they didn't give & I didn't ask for it. But the food was so good. Specially wagoo beef was so good.“
“Fantastic food and service, and excellent value. The chef's counter dining experience was a generous 12 course meal, and the chef added a few more on top of that. It is one of best tasting menus I've ever had. Filipino fusion cuisine was very well executed. This may be my new favourite restaurant in Toronto.“
“The service was over the top! The food, based on the menu may give the impression of a large portion of food however, the portions are tapas style and you will not feel stuffed like you do at other places. The food is excellent and Michelin Star! My hat's off to the Chef! The price is what you would pay for a Michelin Star restaurant. It reminded me of Le Bernardin in Manhattan!“
“We went for a casual dinner with not much expectations. The qualify of the food is superb. The waitress was very attentive. I especially like the yellow eel and rice hot pot. The chunks of eel taste exactly like those prepared by my late mom when I was a kid. I ordered the Iberico pork steak well done. It was very juicy and not at all chewy. We also ordered breaded oyster, mixed salad and grill octopus tentacles. All are very fresh. I don’t always write review whenever I dine out but this boutiques style restaurant is such a hidden gem in Warden / Eglinton area that deserves the 5 stars“
“Love it here! The food, service and vibe are all excellent. My favourite dishes are pad thai and pad ma kher (eggplant and rice). I’ve never had pad ma kher before, and I absolutely fell in love. And I don’t even like egg plants. Highly recommend ?“
“Excellent customer service and they explain everything clearly when you ask, amazing food that every single family member agrees to. Honestly this is my go to place from now on. Has a really home cooked vibe to the meals. So delicious, I'm a new fan for sure???“
“This is the best! The premium menu was perfect; food was delicious and fresh, and the place is nice and spacious. The best of all was the staff though. They are super nice and helpful, and they are always around to help. Definitely will come back with my friends!!!“
“We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. Each dish comes with bubble tea or soup (both delicious). My husband loved his dish (lemon grass pork Chop), i ordered red wine beef stew, and it was good, but be aware it is served boiling hot, and it has a LOT of pepper. I found it fine, but my husbands dish was flavorful whilst I didn't finish mine because it was too much pepper.“
“Great and delicious food. Came here second time and the waitress remembered about my dietary restrictions, which is really sweet and attentive! They also have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options! The sushi is on point, very fresh and flavourful. I would definitely suggest trying the crunchy roll and japchae. Bento boxes are great too. Korean signature are worth trying and in the end don’t forget to have ice cream for dessert - red bean and green tea are greatWill be coming back for sure“
“Came here for my girlfriend's birthday, it was fantastic! Our server was very welcoming, kind and accommodating through the night. Loved that she intro'd each dish as she brought it out. I love a restaurant with unique menu items, the creativity and passion of the chef did not disappoint! Everything was delicious. Ricotta dumplings and lobster Bao were the standouts, fun combination of ingredients. Mousse and matcha ice cream was a great finisher, not too sweet! I appreciate the non-tipping policy but it was one of those dinners where I felt a tip was needed as applause.“
“Totally forgot to take a picture to tell you guys how BLOODY yum the misal pav, vada pav, sev puri & gulab jamun tiramisu was. I had THE spiciest misal pav and THE most amazing tiramisu. Hands down I’m a big fan of POPpadum! Great job guys!“
“Came here a couple years ago and finally had the chance to come eat here again recently! My friend and I got the thali dish with mutton and it was definitely still as yummy as I remember it! My friend also got the mango lassi and it was super yummy! Would highly recommend if you’re in the area!“
“Always reliable for fresh, delicious food. For the first time in the two years we’ve been ordering, something went haywire in our delivered order. After a quick chat, they were quick and apologetic to fix the issue. We will keep going back!“
“the restaurant has such a cute back story and every dish was mindfully created based on the chef’s own experiences and relationships! I love how he shares all these stories on the wall and menu! cozy and warm atmosphere, good for hanging out!yummy food - Highmountain Tauren (the cloud egg is so unique!!), Heat-is-Coming (nice flavours and crisp!)our server was very sweet and attentive! will definitely be back to try other dishes!“
“The pizzas are one of the best in the town. My 100% go to place for a slice of pizzas on a regular day. The service is good too but little cold dine in area as is right next to the door , although is well ventilated. The tables are most of the time clean and tidy. Not too busy too on week days.“
“Came here on a Wednesday evening with my colleagues and the place was pretty full! Servers were great and friendly and the food tasted great. Our favourites were the slaw, soft shell crab, ribs and beef stew. I can't comment on the price to quality ratio as it was a company dinner but the food was tasty!“
“Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a meal at Patois. We ordered the prefixed tasting menu and boy did it deliver! Great variety in the dishes cooled and you could really see the efforts made to fuze Asian and Caribbean cooking. We especially enjoyed the bo lo bao burger and fried chicken. Washed everything down with a cold bottle of Red Stripe. I almost felt like it was my birthday with how much I enjoyed. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!“
“I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for many years now and everything always meets expectations. Servers are always friendly, the food is always delicious, and it's such a cozy place. The sushi, gyoza, and noodles never disappoint.“
“Would definitely go again, ingredients were fresh and well portioned between all the toppings. The size was perfect for lunch and at a great value. There weren’t any “filler” toppings, and the flavors was great. ( I asked for a recommendation and got the “it’s lit” bowl. Just spicy enough for me!) Staff was friendly and efficient. Quite happy with my first visit and looking forward to trying all types of combinations in the future.“
“Hakka N Jerk offers a tantalizing fusion of Hakka and Jamaican cuisine. With dishes like Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls and Hakka Chili Chicken, schezwan fried rice the menu bursts with flavor. Friendly service make it a top pick for a memorable experience.“
“Such a cute place to sit with a group of friends or on a date! They have mirrors and Tibetan art everywhere. There's a lot of space, with a lower sitting area by the bar in the back.Their momos, egg drop soup, and fried rice is amazing !! My personal favorite was the steamed chicken momos but I will definitely order the chili momos again next time because the sauce was delicious.Their prices are great for the amount and quality of the food (eg. 10 momos per order, large plate of fried rice to share between 2 people). The service was also great, the whole team was attentive and friendly.I'll definitely be coming again!“
“6/5 stars for everything, the ambiance, the service and the amazing food! We ha the Katsu bun, surf and turf wraps, the eggs and the miso ice-cream, everything, from the portions to the sauces to the presentation was perfect. Tapas-style Asian fusion cuisine (never been my favourite but this spot changed my mind). Highly recommended for a date night (very small and cozy spot) for a very cool and pleasant night out.“
“Fresh, crispy and hot bungeoppang (or taiyaki) filled with creamy custard is the perfect snack to go! Surprisingly, the custard isn't too sweet so it is so balanced in flavor. Although it may seem pricey, it always makes me come back for more. Note that you have to bring cash though.“
“So happy we found this gem! Have ordered twice for delivery and both my husband and I have been very pleased with the quality. The dim sum items are quite small in comparison to what you might get in other restaurants, but the taste makes up for it.“
“Feels like your own living room, the vibes are immaculate. Very cozy, intimate, laid back. We got the scallop ceviche, spicy shrimp ceviche, and green curry mussels. The food was alright, the shrimp and mussels were 7/10, the scallop was a bit too salty. Overall great vibe, will come back to try more stuff on the “
“Absolutely amazing chinese dumpling shop. Excellent wonton soup and the atmosphere, I mean wow. Although the bathroom is very nice, it is downstairs and therefore not wheelchair accessible.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathroom is NOT wheelchair accessible“
“Amazing. Fresh super busy food doesn’t sit long. The crispy ginger chicken is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I’m surprised the owner recognizes me as I’ve only been 3 times. This was the first place I ate at outside my house for 3 years we didn’t because of Covid. Now I go every Friday. It’s a hidden gem and a must try. Be careful you may get addicted.“
“An enjoyable BBQ dinner, where you get to cook your own meal in a semi-private setting. Large variety of meats, starters and sides. Very accommodating for those with celiac or are gluten free by choice. Must say it was very affordable as well and their daily happy hours look pretty good.Dietary restrictions: Attention paid to a variety of different diets and requirements.“
“Amazing atmosphere. Spacious between tables. Waiter service for my table was exceptional. Beauitful view and sunset. Food prepared and served quickly. Great Valentine dining menu; desert choices were a little more limited. Definately recommend for special occasion. (Sad to mention reception's first reaction to my table change request was not welcoming, as there were enough table to switch with while my booking was one of the earliest few.) Very very good experience overall.“
“We went in at off-peak hours and basically had the whole place to ourselves. The restaurant was clean. We were served jasmine tea while browsing through their menu. Our fresh rolls were made fresh as the battered shrimp was still hot to touch when it arrived at our table. The stock in the chicken pho was amazing and well flavored. The beef stock for the rare beef pho was average but still very good (just didn't stand out from other shops). Portions are more than fair - the regular bowl has really large portions in my opinion. I would definitely come back and enjoy another bowl on a cold winter day.“
“sushi was pretty good, and service was friendly but very slow and somewhat forgetful? (minor things like not getting us enough sauce dishes.) we did however, visit late at night, and there were only two people working on our large order.it’s korean style sushi, and comes out with black rice. the platters were all nice, and so was the yubu, but the one item i wouldn’t recommend is the spicy crab yubu.there was also an 18% gratuity added on which is 100% reasonable considering we were a group of 8, but i didn’t love that it wasn’t mentioned at all nor was it written on the menu or any sign.overall it met my expectations, and it’s nice that it’s open so late.Vegetarian options: a decent number of options for vegetarians, but we are mostly pescatarian so there was an amazing number of optionsKid-friendliness: casual spot that accommodated the 4 kids we brought“
“This is the best all you can eat I’ve ever tried here. It has bunch of options. Everything is delicious. I used to order separated drinks from my all you can eat option, until I realized I can have fountain soda for the same price so, keep in mind. The service gets slow after you get few orders but it is understandable. Nice servers and clean place. I really enjoyed and I will keep going.“
“I've visited this place numerous times, and each time has been nothing short of fantastic. The food is consistently among the best in town, and the service is always fast and incredibly friendly. The Ping Gai chicken and rice dish is particularly outstanding and stands out as my favorite chicken dish in the entire town. I'm eagerly anticipating returning for another visit, especially to enjoy the even friendlier atmosphere on the patio“
“It has become a tradition to enjoy dinner at Fresh Rolls after getting my hair cut (nearby). Love their fresh rolls so much! Yesterday I had one of their curry dishes and coconut rice and it hit the spot. Always clean, prompt nice service. Their mango smoothie is also fantastic!“
“Fantastic restaurant with lovely staff. The food is always fresh, the portions are huge and everything tastes delicious. Try the Momos ; they are always so good! The dipping sauce is spicy but has a pleasant taste that's hard to describe. Highly recommended for a good, filling meal.“
“We tried the onigiris only. One spicy salmon and one bulgogi, and it was quite hard to eat. Or maybe we dont know how to properly open it. My biggest problem with the place is that the toilets were not working when we went and couldn't wash our hands. The onigiri itself was really good though. Just nothing WOW imo.“
“I recently had my 30th birthday here and it was amazing. The food was phenomenal (burgers and dumplings were my fav), cocktails were amazing and the service was beyond! My friends loved the space for the bday and we’ll all definitely be back! The owner Michael is so helpful and attentive to all wants/needs. Thank you for the best birthday :)“
“Delicious Vietnamese cuisine with lots of selection. First time dining in at this hideaway restaurant. We tried the pan fried meat and seafood chow mein, grilled beef on French bread, baby clams with dried pancakes and Vietnamese sticky rice pudding with black eyed peas and coconut cream. It was sooo delicious! The restaurant opened from 4 pm to midnight on weekdays and 2 am on weekends. Their menu was full of delicious dishes. They also have a great selection of vegetarian dishes. The only downside was they only accept cash no cards:)Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian dishes“
“Food is incredible, the quantities are decent my only real criticism is that the rice and noodle dishes don't have a lot of meat in them. Otherwise the flavours are great and if you ask for extra spicy it's the perfect amount of spice where you get your nose running a bit but you can still enjoy what you're eating.Service is also great and the atmosphere is cozy, not overly decorated but very pleasant and subtle.Dietary restrictions: Halal“
“If you’re eating on the cheap, the best deal in town is the hot n sour. Huge bowl for $6 and one of the best H n S I’ve ever had. Filled up almost 4 small bowls.Staff was super friendly. All the other dishes looked really good.Tbh was initially thrown off by the green lights outside, but the vibe inside is on point.“
“Visited here about a week ago. The restaurant is relatively small but beautifully put together. Ordered a spicy teriyaki chicken bento box and it was around 15 bucks. I didn't enjoy the noodles from the bento box and the meal generally wasn't as spicy as I expected. But overall the food was pretty good. Service took about 10 minutes, slightly long but the food was most definitely fresh so it was worth waiting - be wary if you want a quick takeout though. Lots of options on the menu and even in-house sauces available for purchase.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from, most in a tofu base / veggies and curry. They were specifically marked on the menu which was great.Kid-friendliness: The neighbourhood was friendly.“
“One of the best dive bars in Toronto. But - what makes Food and Liquor so special is the FOOD! Chef Vince is incredibly talented. I have never had a dish that wasn’t outstanding. One of my friends would come to Toronto a couple times a year & refuse to leave town unless we visited Food & Liquor. Great craft beer selection. Cocktails are on point. Most importantly- one of the last remaining places to offer a $4 bourbon shot!Great staff and owners. Chill and comfortable vibes. If you haven’t been - you absolutely must do yourself a favour.Vegetarian options: So many veggie options! Homemade/delicious food. Always made with love and care.“
“Grabbed pickup on my lunch break, got the chicken pad Thai because of my Greek friends high recommendation. Man does this not disappoint. Best chicken pad Thai I've ever had. Noodles had a thin layer of this heavenly tasting sauce, not watery at all. So much flavour. I can't get from anywhere else now.“
“came here for my sisters birthday and it was amazing! great food, great prices, and amazing staff. such pretty decorations. it was pretty noisy but we came on a saturday night. The size portions were okay, but i felt the fried rice could've been more. Wish they had halal options, i couldn't try their meats, but their pescatarian options were good. Overall great experience, definitely coming back!“
“Came in on a Saturday evening with no reservations and they were able to seat us right away. They had really good customer service, the servers checked in on us regularly, filled our drinks, etc. Got the steak udon, the taste and temperature was was right on point, but I would say the portion size is a bit small. However I would definitely come back again to try the other foods on the menu!“
“We had group of 17. Ms. Meng who was attending to our table couldn’t have done better job at servicing us. She was efficient at taking all our individual orders with some special dietary restriction requests. Food came quickly, portion was big and everything tastes great. All of us were really satisfied. Bills were also split and ready for us. Excellent service & attention to details!“
“We went as a group of 4, and ordered everything on the menu. I really appreciate their use of different textures. There’s a lot of depth in their flavor pairing as well. Overall the dishes can be a bit too sweet for my liking. The sweetness is subtle at first, i only started realizing that later on as more dishes are served and i found myself thinking oh this is getting a bit heavy. Still really enjoyed my experience at lake Inez! It’s quickly becoming one of mg favourite spots in the city.“
