“Most beautiful view of toronto on the water you will get… book your reservation for an hour before the sunset of that day to get the full experience.Food is of course what you may expect with their rating … for the second best in Italy, I would have to disagree and am biased as I got to experience farm to table in the northern mountains in Abruzzo, Italy… not even comparable… sorry guys!! But they did offer a pasta that is dried from the sea breeze with the natural salt from the water / wind making a profound difference in the texture and flavour. Definitely worth the experience overall and the a la carte menu has great options for a great price.Great wine and caviar menus.Jeff the manager is the best!!!!Make sure you get a photo in the washroom with the window of the city as your backdrop ?“

“Lovely brunch place! Went there for a team brunch and we had a 3 course brunch. Every single dish was so good, I would definitely go back here.Started with their signature sourdough bread with honey and butter, as a perfect app. For the main, I had grilled tofu with eggs and potatoes and for non vegetarians, there were chicken waffles. Even the simple scrambled egg was made to perfection. To end the meal, we had finger licking french toast with a bowl of fresh fruits!Super friendly staff and ambience is great with lots of natural light, making it perfect for brunch.“

“Bar Raval is a vibrant restaurant bar on College Street designed by the architectural firm Partisans. The design is a modern interpretation of Spanish Art Nouveau, while paying homage to the pintxo, the traditional tapas bars from northern Spain. Carefully cut from sculpted mahogany wood, the space was inspired by Gaudi’s biomimicry. The sinuous forms within Raval encourage mingling, keeping in the same spirit as Spain’s jovial pintxos. The nearly all day Raval is open from 11am until 1am, but my favorite time to visit is before sunset to witness the transition from a naturally lit art piece to a more dramatic look after dark.Bar Raval’s tapas game is strong, with delectable sharing plates like manchego, Catalan sobrassada, and marinated octopus. For drinks, bartender Elise Hanson has got you covered. The talented Elise, who recently won Bombay’s Most Imaginative Bartender, made me Raval’s iconic Bishop’s Garibaldi with Campari, fluffy orange juice, cinnamon, guajillo and pasilla pepper and nutmeg as well as her favorite (and mine too): White port and house tonic, perhaps the perfect low ABV concoction.“

“1st update: 4->5 stars• Three Dynasties: love this one the most, creamy yet earthy and very interesting flavor.• Crimson Skies: very slight hint of spice, bold flavor but not too strong, it's a very good one.• Barrel Aged Corn ‘N’ Oil: good for someone want some thing strong and bold, not too much layers of flavor.• Fried Chicken: warning it'll burn your tongue. Extremely crispy, very good dipping sauce. One of my favorite bars. Lovely and cozy vibe, live music and great menu selection.FOOD: it takes pretty long time to be served as there's only one cook in the kitchen.• Beef tartar: the best tartar I've ever tried. Good portion and really tastyDRINK: I gotta remove 1 star for this, I paid extra to customize my drink to be something "complex flavors". What I got was a super basic cocktail with 3 alcohol mixed together and I can barely taste the third flavor in the drink. Super disappointed.VIBE: beautiful decor, cozy couch and vibe. There's live music and the music was just about right, chill and not too loud. Perfect place to chill out with friends.SERVICE: friendly but a little slow.“

The Quesabirria Con Consome seems to be what they are best known for, and it’s an absolute must. We also got the shrimp aguachile + leguna and pollo tacos. “A cozy place to dine with too notch service and food. Upon arrival, we were among the first guests to dine in today. Greeted with warm welcomes and such a pleasant experience with the staff and chef (3 person show running the restaurant) throughout. We were given outstanding service, one that would only be expected in a more posh environment. Now to the food, we had the beef tartare, risotto, steak frites and matcha ice cream to finish. Before apps, we were given a complimentary shot of cocktail mix as well as a Polaroid pic taken by the staff for valentines week (also got a bottle of sparkling wine on the house for a no phones out during dinner). The beef tartare was good with more of an Asian take to it. There wasn’t the usual egg yolk in this version, but rather served with some sesame seeds, and crispy noodles on top (similar to that of my hometown Tomato Noodles in Kuching, Sarawak). It was crunchy, salty and acidic without any of it overpowering one another. The risotto is an interesting take and to be honest, not my style but still admirable to those who want to venture a different take to it. It’s more acidic than the standard creamy risotto, served with steamed bok choy, fried shallots and some barley. The steak frites is hands down, the most delicious, juiciest, charred and perfectly done medium rare beef sliced up nicely like a deck of cards laid out. I don’t enjoy eating steak outside that much because most restaurants don’t do it right / the way I enjoy it. But this, just done every bit to my liking. The char was on point, the flaky salt to finish perfect to the tongue, the butter mixture to top it off is a nice touch to bring it the flavours of the beef more. Definitely going in my top lists of places to go back to for steak without complaining about it later lol. Oh forgot to mention, red wine was complimentary for the steak as part of their promo ?.All in all, a very pleasant experience and will definitely go back to taste the mushroom dishes that were not available today. Might try the glass noodle dish instead next time. Thank you for the great experience and yummy food. It’s difficult to get decent quality meals nowadays with the restaurant boom in Toronto. “Hy’s Vancouver is always dependable. Our waiter was a very pleasant, well-spoken, and well-trained fellow named Christophe. He prepared us a round of Caesar salads table side and his wine service was impeccable. My NY strip was perfect and my son enjoyed his dry-aged steak very much (gotta try it at least once). This type of experience is the norm at Hy’s Vancouver, not the exception.“

“My friend and I had a delicious Filipino breakfast of House Pork Sausage with fried eggs and garlic rice at this tiny eatery near Bathurst and College. Also shared some scrumptious fried chicken. Everything that we ordered from the small menu was very good. Service was very attentive, courteous and friendly. Because this restaurant is quite small in size and limited in seating, we suggest that you go early to avoid the need to wait for a seat. That said, BBs is well worth a trip. Highly recommended.“

“We were walking past it and decided to take a look. Turns out it was wine bar with some unique collections not available in LCBO. We tried a cocktail and white wine. I asked for something on the sweeter side and the server was very helpful in recommending an option. We both enjoyed our drinks sitting on bench outside while taking a break during our evening stroll. Cute, chill place - a hidden gem.“

“We went to Bar Chef for my wife’s birthday. It’s one of her fave places for high end cocktails. The drinks and snacks did not disappoint. At first you walk in and think it’s going to be way too dark. But once your eyes adjust it’s a cool atmosphere. I had the charred Japanese highball and the Italian breeze. Both were good, liked the breeze better. The diplomatic immunity seemed to be the most popular drink at the table. The snacks were very tasty as well. The charcuterie board and Japanese fried chicken were my faves. Great place for a fun night out for a special occasion.“

It did not disappoint!Ramen: so simple yet packed full of flavors (altho also a little bit small, and for this particular price point, granted this is more like a izakaya rather than a ramen joint)Pork jowls with ponzu: So simple yet beautifully done. It's a cute izakaya with delicious (but also pricy) food. Enjoyed the experience tremendously.“
