“Fantastic service, great food and an overall lovely evening. Absolute favorite was the mistake mushroom, please do yourself a favor and try it out, it’s unlike any mushroom dish you’ve tried before.Insulation next to the windows could be improved so the guests sitting next to the windows won’t feel the wind blowing through the windows.“
“Recap from our 5 year anniversary at Alo in Toronto! This place is worth every penny. From fantastic food and amazing service, to great drink pairings, chill vibes and a professional staff that don’t take themselves too seriously. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a passion for the art of cooking or just appreciates food, hospitality and cocktails.“
“Had a lovely date night here with my partner. We spontaneously booked a reservation at 5:30pm, which was actually a lovely time to go(our food came quickly, was delicious, and service was great). The menu changes often, which keeps things interesting.“
“Our small group had the pleasure of being invited by the owner for a small tasting menu. All of us were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the cuisine whilst keeping food restrictions top of mind for the select few. The service was on point, the employees were efficient.Lucie's decor is visually stunning yet comfortable. It's clear that Yoann the General Manager and Yannick the Owner have a very strong passion for providing every guest with a warm and hospitable environment to dine in.“
“This was the second time visiting Maison T during my holiday from Ireland. We had the Australian Lamb Saddle and the Arctic Char. Both were absolutely perfectly prepared and cooked by the chef Masayuki Tamaru. The desserts were heavenly! It was a delight to be attentively served by owner Carolina and waiter Jamie. Although busy, we got the chance to speak with them both and we also personally thanked chef Masayuki after the meal. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Maison T is certainly on my return list when I next comes to Toronto. Mark P Laverty.“
“Visited Le Swan and enjoyed it immensely. We ordered: steak frites, wedge salad, corn dogs, and french onion soup. Our server also recommended a great bottle wine based on what we typically like. I've been here previously once before and also had the steak tartare which is amazing as well. The atmosphere is cozy upscale french diner with a limited selection of seating which we enjoyed. Can't wait to come back!“
“This place is special. We tried it in summer 2023, and it blew our minds. We've been back multiple times since then. We celebrated a special birthday here, and it was so good I took my mom here for her 60th. In her words, it was "the best culinary experience of her life". Frank's ever-changing vision of his menu is not only inspiring to home cooks like myself, but jaw dropping with what he offers - and no two visits have the same menu. The staff are lovely, unpretentious and ensure you feel at home when dining with them. And don't get me started on their wine list. I'd give them 10/5 if I could. We will be back many, many, many more times. Thanks Frank and team.“
“Nestled in the heart of Yorkville, 156 Cumberland is a must try. The food was delicious and I had a great server recommending what to get, and if it was enough for the table. I could not think of a dish I didn’t like! Highly recommend the tartar, potato pancake and banana milk tiramisu. The atmosphere is also perfect for date nights, casual and special occasions. Will definitely comeback.“
“Brittany and Skye took excellent care of us. The cocktails were varied and delicious and the food was well prepared and presented beautifully. We had a ribeye, the lamb, and the cauliflower “steak”. Everyone was pleased. Highly recommended.“
“If I could give service 10 stars I would. A friend and I went for dinner and our server was so sweet and attentive. Just one example of the excellent service we received: while we were sitting in the back covered patio, she noticed I put on a sweater. She immediately turned on the heaters and came over to let us know, in case I was feeling cold. It’s small moments like that, that really make you feel taken care of. My only regret is not leaving a bigger tip. I’ll definitely have to return and offer more next time.As for the atmosphere, the place was full and lively but didn’t feel overly crowded or loud. The space itself I would describe it as unpretentious but still felt refined. Finally, the food. We ended up getting a main AND an app of the beef tartare since it was so delicious, as well as the trout which was cooked beautifully. To be honest pretty much everything on the menu called out to us. We also got a salted chocolate mousse that we shared and it was a perfect way to end our meal. They also had a great offering of wines and drinks.Overall: fabulous staff, great food, lovely atmosphere.“
“Well done to the Pompette team. When I visit Toronto, Pompette will be a place I will definitely go. Warm welcome, professional service and dishes executed with professionalism. A sommelier to guide you in the right choice of wine and meal pairing.“
“Good food and nice atmosphere. Small cosy restaurant with a very friendly vibe. The owner was very nice. The waiter we had was not the most friendly but the rest of the staff were very good. Will be back and leave room for dessert next time!“
“AwesomeThis is not a perfected corporate system on purpose but a life style for 2 artists. Only 5 employees? Only 20-25 seats a night.Been to over a 100 Michelin restaurants and many of the top and this place due to its individual character and talent holds its own.“
“happy to say that Bistro Camino is back up and running. And they haven't lost their touch. Food was amazing as always. I love the variety of side dishes you get with your main and the creative ways they are presented. According to my son they have the best mashed potatoes he's ever had.“
“Excellent meal - grilled calamari appetizer was delicious. Main dishes were outstanding (crispy duck leg, braised short ribs, veal chop). Excellent dessert & nice wine selection. Great, friendly, attentive service & cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.“
“Stopped in with a friend for lunch, we each had a cocktail (mine was virgin) and the burger with fries. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful and gave the perfect amount of space. The food and drinks were delicious- cannot recommend the fries enough, they were amazing. Overall, the place had a nice atmosphere, kind of cozy, albeit a little busy, but that's just testament to how good this place is“
“My experience at Le Baratin, was outstanding from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The highlight of the evening was the salmon dish, which was simply amazing—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. It's clear that the chef's expertise shines through in his culinary creations, making Le Baratin a must-visit for any food lover!“
“Excellent experience! Our server was so kind, helpful, and attentive. The drinks were absolutely perfect and our food was all delicious. Music was good and not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation. They didn’t rush us out which was so nice. Would absolutely go back!“
“A hidden jewel! Nestled away in the Palace Pier condo complex, Veloute Bistro is less well known than the quality of its food and service deserve. My husband and I enjoyed our first post-pandemic meal out after discovering Veloute among the many restaurants participating in Winterlicious. Unlike some places that had limited-time seatings (understandable but annoying) we were not rushed as we savoured 3 delightful courses plus a classic lime daiquiri to start the evening. The cocktail is not on the restaurant's standard menu, but Alise was able to create a delicious version of it. The staff was also most obliging in decanting our full-bodied red wine selection in advance of our arrival so it could "open up" in time for the main course. The Winterlicious menu duplicated a lot of Veloute's regular fare, and offered a varied and generous selection. The Caesar appetizer was somewhat unconventional with finely chopped romaine, but had a classic dressing with fresh parmigiano reggiano cheese. The Warm Lobster Crab Cake was even better, with a crisp panko coating and touches of smoked salmon and spicy guacamole. We both had the steak frites with rosemary and garlic mayonnaise, a bistro classic done to perfection, and wound up the meal with a deliciously delicate creme brulee accompanied by capuccinos. All highly impressive! Chef Fawzi is clearly a master of his craft, and we will definitely return to celebrate more special occasions at this lovely restaurant.“
“First time visiting The Mission Eatery and I can only say that for sure exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a place to have breakfast/brunch and I was pleasantly surprised! Everything super delicious!! I will be for sure coming back. I recommend the pancakes, holy moly they were amazing.“
“Le Petit Chef at the Downtown location offers an exhilarating and beautiful experience that transcends mere dining into a captivating journey for couples or families with children alike. The projection clips interspersed between food intervals create a warm and exciting atmosphere, adding an extra dimension to the meal. The culinary aspect of the experience is nothing short of perfection, with every dish meticulously prepared to adhere to dietary requirements and restrictions without sacrificing flavor or quality. The attention to detail in accommodating any last-minute diet changes showcases the dedication of the entire team. The staff, from start to finish, exudes friendliness and helpfulness, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Le Petit Chef to everyone seeking a unique and unforgettable dining experience.“
“This place is fire. Their steak tartare and duck are a must-try. Service was great. The food is a little too salty for my liking but that’s french food in general. Highly recommend. Do make a reservation before you go, this place is quite packed.“
“It’s really, really delicious!!!All the menu items I tried were delicious, so I recommend them all?I went around 6pm on a Sunday and waited for an hour.I’m satisfied because I enjoyed it so much~The staff were all friendly and nice! The atmosphere is also very good~“
“Fresh crepes with a cute vibe :) they have flavours a bunch of flavours like Dulce de leche, Nutella, pistachio and more. The crepe was super soft and because they make it to order, it was still nice and hot when I ate it. They also add a lot of the filling so it was great :)The staff were super friendly too!Other than crepes they have some interesting milkshakes too!“
“Love coming back to this beautiful french / cozy restaurant. Their service and foods are to die for . I love how authentic their food is, always gives me the Parisian vibes . hanger steak with bone marrow Is my fav dish , and their appetizers Yummzzz!! Definitely recommend this place .“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at this charming establishment to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. The attentive staff made us feel like VIP guests, ensuring that every moment was special. The menu was a culinary delight, with each dish surpassing the last in flavour and presentation. What's more, the pricing was reasonable, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.I can't recommend Sauvignon Bistro enough for anyone looking to create lasting memories with great food and exceptional service! Thank you!“
“The product from Douce France is amazing. I love the Edmond Fallot Dijon Mustard on sandwiches. I used the Mushroom and Summer Truffle Sauce in a pasta dish and it took it to the next level. I used Artichoke and Basil Pulp when making homemade pizza and . .. WOW !!! I will definately order from then again. GREAT FOOD!“
“A delightful spot for a delicious meal. Tiny and romantic with an outstanding wine list. The best part about this place is the incredible care the staff and owner take of each person who passes their door. They treat everyone like family and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. The restaurant biz is hard and has been harder still the last couple years. Darlene and her team have done so much to keep going in the most difficult of circumstances. Thank you for making our neighborhood a little nicer and for always ensuring the most outstanding dining experience for all who enter your establishment.“
“A welcoming and intimate local establishment with incredibly helpful wait staff who helped me pick a wine to go with my meal (I know nothing about wine). They even chatted with us after dinner about how we came to find the restaurant and about other foods we wanted to try. Very personable and friendly. The food was quite delicious and really well prepared. I can't often afford to go to nicer places, but I'm very glad I chose to come to Brownes this time when I did. Sometimes it's nice to try the finer things when you can! I'm sure I'll be back again for another special occasion.“
“Food was delicious - peppercorn filet mignon to die for. Great service. I might suggest a redecorate - 80s style decor is confusing with the 40s music playing and the period paintings. The name too..."Bumpkins" I wouldn't really associate with a fine steak. I hope they're getting the business they deserve, had a great “
“You can ALWAYS count on Scaramouche —incredible service, outstanding food, lovely atmosphere. It's not surprising that it's full later in the evening on Good Friday, but somehow not hectic—rather serene. Servers take their time but seem to be at the table just when required for next steps. A really special experience.“
