“Zach's Bistro was a revelation.We were expecting a rather ordinary meal and received the most interesting and well-prepared meal that I have had in years. I say "interesting" in the sense that everything had something unexpected or a twist on the usual that was both wonderful and surprising.Best of all, everything was gluten free and safe for me to eat.The chestnut soup, clam chowder, fried market fish, potatoes, squash, and perfectly cooked broccolini were all terrific. Even the butter tasted more "buttery" than any we've ever had. There seemed to be an excessive use of sprouts as garnish for my taste, but I'm not a fan of sprouts in any form.The food was served at the right temperatures and the main course plates were warmed. (I appreciate that very much.)The decor is unexceptional and the ambience is a bit spare, but the music was delightful and at a nice low volume, unlike too many places.The bill was surprisingly low for the quality of food and service we received.We plan to come down to Newport more often just to enjoy Zach's Bistro.Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Zach's Bistro is an excellent place for celiacs and the gluten intolerant. The whole menu was gluten free on the night that we were there.“

“Stayed in Newport a few days and came here with my wife for dinner and a few beers. First off, the beers were solid. I tried several. The hazy was very good and I'm not normally a hazy guy. The Dungeoness ipa was good, as well as the stout. The tangerine wheat was just ok, I wouldn't order it again. And then they had a guest mango sour on tap that was very good too! Good enough that I ordered it a second time when we came back two nights later. And yes, we came back two nights later, because the food was very good too. Not too pricy, good portions. The first night I had the pulled pork grilled cheese and some clam chowder. The grilled cheese had a mustard on it that balanced the flavors perfectly. The chowder was solid too. Wife got the elote bowl. It was pretty good, we both wished there was more cotija cheese, but other than that, she enjoyed it. The next time, I got the Rodeo Burger with fries. Just a good bbq burger, nothing too fancy. And then the wife got the calimari bowl. It was MASSIVE. She loved it, I ate her leftovers the next day and still didn't finish it all. Service was friendly. Looks like they have some outdoor seating in front next to the parking lot. The inside has some cool art on the walls. The chairs sit high up and are pretty comfy. Friendly atmosphere overall. This is about as rock-solid of an experience as you can ask out of a brewery. Nothing blew me away, but everything was just good! I'll come back here if we stay in Newport again.“

“We’ve determined that there are a few really nice, casual dining places here in Newport. Newport Brewing Company is one of them!First off, the murals in this establishment are fabulous!Casey was our server. She’s everything you want in in a server; bright, bubbly, knowledgeable and super efficient!We shared an order of waffle cut, sweet potato fries, and recommend them!I had the Elote Bowl and it was exceptional. “We had lunch there on the porch (dogs allowed) and were quite happy with meal, service and atmosphere. We had shrimp melt and salmon sandwich and both were good. Servers also gave our Pomeranian a choice of hard and soft treats. We hope to go back.UPDATE a year later and Pacific Kitchen is still doing great! We had crab cakes and fish tacos plus clam chowder. Excellent food and very good service (once again).“

“We love this bowling alley. It's the right atmosphere for hanging out with some friends, having a beer, bowling a few games and having a good time. Good for kids as well or people just looking to spend time with their family in a comfortable environment.The staff are also all very friendly, personable people. “We did a wine tasting at their wine cellar and it was fantastic. Great wine, wonderful food and deserts. Maureen, our host was the best - knowledgeable and lots of fun. This is a fun experience to try when you are visiting the Oregon coast!“

“We came to the area for our honeymoon and after a full day traveling, we were looking for something close to our rental property. At random, we stopped at rip tide for the grille as advertised. We walked in and were met by friendly and prompt service with a small town, hole in the wall feel. It’s apparent the bar/pub atmosphere is the primary selling point for the business. However I think it’s important to point out, my wife and I are both are in active recovery from alcohol so our purpose for stopping was solely food. We were blown away at the quality of food and portions! The burgers were huge and the fries thick and crispy. We noted on the menu the pizza seems to be the go to. Had we had more time, we would have tried that out. BUT, we are making a point to stop back just so we can try it before leaving. Support this small business. You won’t be disappointed.“

The only thing that I would have recommended is that the dish I couldn't eat (Allergy) could have been offered to go home with my husband who could eat it or take it off the bill completely or discount. “We were unvited to join our friend (a local) to experience this restaurant.For sure a different affair.It serves a revolving (set) menu with a starter, choice out of 3 main dishes and a desert.Thw table is shared with other guests but not in a too greater group.We were at a table of eight and had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people.All up there were 2 tables of eight guests.The food was quite lovely and there was a nice selection of beverages.Furthermore there is a little gift shop.“

“Food & drinks: We came in for lunch on a rainy day and we're not disappointed.The gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable and friendly.The blackened salmon sandwich was so tasty - a big hit at our table.The batter fried prawns were plump, sweet and juicy. Where the batter wasn't crispy all over, the crunch parts were extra delish.We both enjoyed the tots and a variety of sauces (ranch. Smoky ranch, tartar and cocktail - the last two arrived with the prawns) and we'll likely go back again.Interesting note... The giant skeleton in the yard seems to have lost his last forearm. Straight forward ordering, and minimal wait time, but of course it depends on your timing and peak meal hours. We have always enjoyed their fresh seafood and make it a point to eat here when we're in the area! Prices have gone up, so I posted the current menu. Great location and plenty of tables to choose from inside and out. A sink is available to wash up after meals located inside between eating area and convenience store. They make their own tarter sauce - fresh and like I’ve never tasted before - the clam chowder - to die for and don’t even get me started on that Marion berry cobbler and our precious Julie - our waitress who has worked there 35 years. “Located inside the Surfriders Resort, Sirens is a great little spot to grab a bite and enjoy the views of Fogarty Beach. We went for breakfast and enjoyed a well made Eggs Benedict with hot coffee and a lovely place to watch the snow fall. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy, and they eggs were poached perfectly. If you want a classic breakfast, you won't be disappointed.The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. The dining area has large windows over most of the space, so you get a great view no matter where you sit. Our food came out quickly. The parking lot is shared with the resort, so it might be busier sometimes over others.“
