“Love this restaurant... Been going there since I was a kid... Moved away for about 10 years and every store/restaurant in town including The movie theater that was remodeled when I was growing up has been closed when I returned except Tommy's and I am so grateful for that. This place is just like I remembered. They have the best bread and Italian dressing ever I highly suggest going here if you have not and if you have then just keep on coming and bring along some friends... Everyone should support their local restaurant to keep it alive. They are like a dying breed nowadays and need our help.. amazing owners that only higher amazing staff to go with... Thanks Tommy's and happy 40th anniversary! Hope you never change...Kid-friendliness: Amazing people that only dish out amazing quality.. not only kid friendly... The location is cozy and historic, the food is over the top delicious, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the desserts are a must have! I would highly recommend this place!”

“Very quaint, cute space. Lives up to the name of a "coffee bar". Was offered to have my coffee served in a glass, which was a brand new experience (there are also traditional to-go cups as well). There were two people ahead of me, and the wait time wasn't terrible, considering Dan, the owner, was the only one behind the counter at the time. He was really attentive to everyone who came in, stopping for a moment to acknowledge new patrons. His recommendation for a coffee from Honduras did not disappoint. It was very smooth and flavorful with no bitterness whatsoever. I paid $4.25 for a normal sized latte, which is cheaper than your Starbucks and Dunkin by a few bucks! All in all, really great experience. Nice folks, good coffee, good environment. Would strongly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of alternate milk options.Parking: Fairly small llot, but seems easy enough to find a spot even during the busier times.”

“I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this café by a Dominican coworker. Since moving to Hazleton I have been disappointed by the seemingly total lack of cafés in the area. I love it here! The coffee is delicious and everything is made fresh, not left out sitting in display cases. We also tried some pastolitos (honestly not sure how to spell that!), and they were excellent. The dining area is bright, comfortable, immaculately clean, and very welcoming. Highly recommended!”

“Excellent food! I ordered the My Salad, seafood salad. One of the best seafood salads I ever had. Also, ordered supreme stromboli and Italian hoagie for family. Food was ready for pick up and no problems. Route 309 Pizza will, definitely, be our favorite spot, for Italian food. Well done.”

“Girls were very friendly i even got asked out on a date!! Although I didn't want free custard she wouldn't take no for an answer,so she was nice enough to give me and my 3 friends free Italian ice!! Idk if she was cold but I can saybit was warm in her car on her break!! I plan on coming back there over and over I love the friendly service,I wonder if she knows I am one of her co-workers boyfriends I tried telling her but I don't think no is in her vocabulary,what do I do when I show up and my girlfriend and her are working same shift? The birria quesadilla I ordered was so delicious - besides being MASSIVE, it had a generous amount of tender shredded beef and melty cheese, with a crispy (but not too thick) tortilla, which was easy to dip. The stew was full and flavorful, too, with notably-fresh cilantro and a good balance of oil-to-veggies. El Gordo is a genuine birrieria, and definitely worth checking out!
