“My husband and I were fortunate enough to have Troop host our wedding in November and it was the best time! Every one of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Adam and Nikki helped me from the beginning to capture my vision of my perfect wedding day. The staff was on point and the food...A-MAZING! No stuffy country club blah food here! And we had bartenders that rocked!! Never waited for a drink. As the bride...I have to give Nikki a special shout out, she was right there to make sure my husband and I ate and were taken care of. The best was when I was getting into the limo to leave and she handed me a take out bag with pieces of my wedding cake and Troop's delicious chocolate chip cookies. If you haven't had one then your missing out. My guests all left with one to take home. I highly recommend Troop to host your next party. Enjoy!“

Pretty good choice, as it used quahog clams, which seems to be local to Rhode Island. I also got that as a combo with the Clam Cakes, which were decent, but mostly bread.“

“I read about New Rivers in RI Monthly, and decided to check it out with my husband (he loves bread, and we saw rolls listed). Best choice ever. We had a few drinks at the bar while we waited for our table to open, which were delicious. Once we got seated, we ordered a cheese plate and their famous New River Rolls. The cheese plate was small but curated so well. We could have eaten 3 orders of the rolls.. so worth it. The food was so fresh and flavorful, and genuinely just awesome to eat. Service was wonderful, the staff were super friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Can’t wait to go back“

“Their Bloody Mary is one of the best ones I have ever tasted! Also tried the French toast brioche with blueberries and it was delicious! Their portion sizes are quite large, so even one dish is big enough to share with someone! The ambiance of the place is of the rusty, dive bar type but it works for them! The staff was also very fast and friendly! Will come back in the future to try more of their drinks!“

“It’s a good spot that stays open later than most places in the area but with really good food. I’ve come back multiple times in one week.Loved almost everything I’ve had here. The charcuterie board comes with soft boiled eggs and toasts.I like the lighting in the evening ; nice and dim but I did see some people needing their phone lights to see the menu. I thought it was perfect lighting though.Great mashed potatoes. Very creamy and maybe whipped? The prices of some items are reasonable and others are a bit more expensive. Fries were $9 and they were great but I just think that’s an odd price for that.It does get really loud in here at night on weekends as they try to transition into more of a bar.Parking is obviously a bit difficult but they seem to offer valet services and I chose to walk instead. It’s also not far from the bus for easy public transportation. You should make a reservation if you decide to come here during popular times like Friday-Saturday nights but most other times are fine.“

“Located in the oldest indoor mall in America, Rogue Island has an eclectic Prov-Centric cuisine. If you haven't signed anywhere in Rhode Island this may be confusing. Let me explain. You see Providence has arguably the best food in North America and we have our own little twists to things..Unique, creative entrees and appetisers paired with local beers and spirits are just the beginning. I really can't do the quality of food here enough justice with words. They change the menu seasonally to reflect local sourcing and rhythms. They shop as local as possible. The chefs are locals. The vibe is Unique to Providence. It's located centrally downtown so there are no excuses because it is nearby buses, Uber and parking. “This place has now become one of my absolute favorite restraints in all of Providence! It is a quiet, intimate restaurant with a refined appearance. The staff is courteous, efficient and does a great job of explaining the dishes. However, the best part of Oberlin is the amazing, unique selection of dishes. The focaccia was perfectly crunchy and it paired very well with the olive oil. The agnolotti with apple and cauliflower sauce were also to die for! My one critique of the dish is that I wish there was more of it! The portion size wasn't very large, and left me wanting more! Still delicious though!“

“Apps - Polenta fries were the best I’ve ever had. Nice crispy exterior and beautifully creamy inside. Well seasoned and you get the taste of jalepeño without the spiciness. As someone who makes their own plenty of fries at home, I highly recommend these! We also shared the ribs which were fall off the bone amazing! Sauce had a little kick and I appreciated the garnish with peanuts to provide some crunch!Overall, I think the apps were better than the entree and there were a lot more “small plates” to choose from.Entree - my partner and I split the fried chicken sandwich and burger. Both of which were great sandwiches, meaty and well seasoned. Fries come on the side and had a nice seasoning on them.Service - appetizers came out quick, no issues there. However, for the entrées, I was served my sandwich five minutes before my partner and was nearly done before he got his food. That’s really the only fault we can find!Key Takeaways:⭐️ bring friends to go tapas style with all the amazing small plates / appetizers⭐️ingredients are high qualityWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“

“I have often heard about how great the burgers were at The Abbey and now I know why. Recently I decided to try their Roadhouse Burger before the Providence College hockey game, and it brought me back to a time where my mom would make burgers from scratch when I was a young teenager, grinding the beef cuts herself on the meat grinder clamped at the end of the dining room table. The place was packed and yet the service came with a smile, and they were very accommodating by seating us with two others at a table for four. Great speedy service (there was a team of cooks preparing for the rush), and great atmosphere. Now let's talk burger. Any great burger starts with good cuts of beef. I could see that they grind the beef themselves, and this half pound behemoth nestled on a huge bun to support its weight, was fresh, and not frozen. Seriously, they ask you how you want it cooked, like a steak. Isn't that what a burger is...a ground steak sandwich? Every bite was delicious, and regardless of which burger you order, the star is the beef, and the toppings are there for the ride, not to be the main attraction. For those who are gluten-free you could order it without the bread. So if you are craving a tasty burger in Rhode Island, forget all those snooty, trendy bistros that try and get it right, and go to The Abbey and treat yourself to the best burger in the state.“

We stopped in late on a weeknight and settled on their marina-side patio with a couple of vodka sodas. After following that up with a couple local brews, we sampled from their late night menu. The seasoned fries were delicious, but the fried pickles were the standout and a perfect antidote to the beer. Unassuming and comfortable, the Hot Club is a perfect late night spot.“

The food here was some of the best we have ever had, service was a little slow but we could see our waiter running around so it was understandable. However that being said we found our waiter to be rather rude. As mentioned we had been given a gift card otherwise we would not be able to afford to come here, we brought five dollars for tip but had to use some of it to cover the bill. We already felt bad for it but than the waiter made us feel worse by turning to us as we were leaving leaning in and telling us he was sorry for the bad service then dashing off before we could explain or say anything. Now we feel even worse than we already had for the tip and it completely killed the good mood we were in.“
