I did find the food a little too salty for my taste, but still extremely edible. I do have one complaint and suggestion about the Rainbow Trout that I ordered; the sauce and roe was served on top of the fish skin and in my opinion, it would have been better skin side down with sauce on the fish itself. The only time I personally would eat fish skin is if it was fried crispy and that is not the case with this dish. I'll be back, but I will probably order something else next time.”

“We enjoy dining at Napa Cafe for special occasions and particularly love seeing what's new on the menu. Last night we brought two out of town guests who live near the coast and have seafood regularly in their home towns. Because of our guests, we were disappointed that the new menu featured too many seafood items. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our dinner, but some of us didn't want seafood. All of the apps were seafood except one, and most were shellfish, which we couldn't eat due to an allergy. We also felt like the new entrees didn't include enough non seafood options, and no one wants beef ragout when it's 90 degrees outside. PS Jan always does a great job!”

“I was driving home from running an errand and was craving coffee, but not the generic kind. My GPS told me there was something nearby so I checked it out and boy was I surprised! Tucked away is a hidden oasis. This coffee shop was so clean and beautiful that I was taken by surprise based on the neighborhood. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted and told all about the history and origins of these culturally significant brews. And then had my coffee hand brewed in front of me. The technique and experience really shows. I learned so much, and had such a great experience. And to top it off, the coffee was excellent! Not what you would get at one of those chain coffee shops. But so much better. And of course I had to snag a couple of the sweet treats to go with it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Will be back. 10/10 Would recommend.”

“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.”

“I don't normally do such a review for fine dining but my wife and I attended a special event where Duckhorn Wines and Chef Gentry at the Lobbyist put on a very unique feast. I'm not a wine expert by any means but the Duckhorn wines selected fit the menu perfectly with a 4 course meal that included octopus and fresh cabbage to start, and perfectly prepared beef cheek for the main. The Lobbyist source their food supplies from local farms which it shows both in appearance and taste. The event was sponsored by Buster's Liquor, an icon in Memphis for the selection and price. The seating was an open table making it a fun evening where we met and made new friends. Check them out for a special date with your better half.”

We were there last weekend (10/12/24) and returned this weekend (10/18/24) to enjoy another version of their Wagyu Burgers and Duckhorn Wines. Both weekends, we enjoyed their SUPERB Fried Calamari with a glass of Prisoner Red Blend and a glass of Knights Bridge Chardonnay before our burgers.

They are very good about accommodating allergies, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is quiet and makes our girls feel like true princesses. The dessert ducky my daughter received for her birthday was THE highlight! She asks to go back every day now.

Just make sure you read the receipt right as 20% gratuity is already included. I didn't realize that as it didn't say what the 20% was for on the receipt, but the manager was very helpful on the phone to get that mistake reversed!
My favorite was the scone (the second course) and the Matcha tea.

Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating of our dietary restrictions- one person was able to have gluten free and the other had pregnancy-safe (no cold cut / raw) items! Highly recommend.

Kid-friendliness: Our 5 and 7 year old girls had a blast! They have a kids option for the high tea and it was excellent!”

“We have dined at Flemings Las Vegas numerous times over the past years (15+ ago) so we were excited to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary at Flemings Memphis. We were greeted by the host staff and shown to our table, including a small place card celebrating our anniversary. Our server, Kimberly, was phenomenal!! Atmosphere was lovely as expected. We ordered a bottle of wine, 6 oysters on the half shell, wedge salad, lobster bisque, scallops, king crab and two sharable sides. Everything was great except.....the scallops were quite small. I mean, no more a single bite each, and a not a big bite or mouthful. But maybe a silver dollar size each. They literally got lost in the dish/bowl amongst the mushrooms, and greens. The small size affected the cook as they were slightly over done (I have eaten plenty of scallops so I understand what the appropriate texture is). My wife throughly enjoyed her king crab but I was disappointed in my scallops, making my experience far less then expected and as experienced from Flemings Las Vegas. I do understand that there may have been a "supplier issue", having worked in the food industry for years, but serving a substandard (IMO) dish is far worse then telling a customer that a dish isn't available due to "ingredient quality issues". I did mention the portion concerns to the restaurant management to which they apologized but the truth is, the "damage" was done. All in all, the experience was OK, highlighted by the awesome wait staff, including others that assisted Kimberly!! We will probably visit Flemings Memphis again the future, but I doubt I will order the scallops (a favorite of mine) again.”

I like the seating areas for inside and outside seating. The mural of Memphis is fun and showcases cool spots. I can’t recommend this place more. It’s a must go. Also if you are not into BBQ only try out Aldos Pizza “The Memphis” it has Central’s pulled pork on top. It’s across the street from the Civil Rights Museum.”
