“Jamya was our server, and she was truly AMAZING. Seldomly do you go somewhere where the waitress is so positive, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu, but she knocked it out of the park. Great food, great atmosphere, but the BEST server!“

“I was on my way out of Austin when I had just the right amount of time to indulge on a breakfast. Boy was my belly happy to leave Texas with this as my last meal. I ordered the fried chicken with the biscuit and the biscuit was so perfectly done. The chicken crispy (and felt like more skin than meat but as a whole it was still good) and although it didn't come with it, I dipped mine in the hot sauce that the empeñada came with and it was delicious. The empeñada was yummy and the deep fried hash brown muffin concoction is pretty epic. Our server was 10/10 loved her energy and recommendations. She was all the things we need in the service industry and grateful we had her! All in all, if I'm back in Austin, I'd definitely make a pit stop here again!“

“Randomly stopped by this spot during a walk on the trail. They were really accommodating — making me a sandwich after closing time. The bread was so good. Owners were awesome and offered a cucumber lime soda on the house (which was also so good). Definitely check this spot out. Worth a trip even if you’re not in the area.“

“I love a good diner. Being from the Midwest, I yearned a cozy cafe that had good coffee and a breakfast that would fill me for a good part of the day. I used to be a “pancake of the day” girl, even better if I could get it in as a silver dollar. I like more of salty than sweet breakfast. Eggs usually, and then maybe something sweet on the side, hence the silver dollar. But I came to Cafe Java, with no premonition of what I truly wanted. Our waitress Chloe, helped me choose between the difficult decision of salty and sweet by offering the Mascarpone Pancake special that came with eggs and sausage, I opted for an additional of hash browns, because why not?Chloe steered me right. I loved the flavors of the pancake, a once sweet breakfast addition was now toned down with the taste of their mascarpone, with a hint of sweet from strawberries mixed throughout the cream cheese.I’ll be going back with a doubt! A classic diner and amazing recommendations? Sold.“

“This is a great low-key spot for folks who want to meet with friends, work, or grab a bite to eat. The portions are nice and filling. The atmosphere is open and light. It is a quiet spot for folks who want somewhere relaxing to go. I really enjoy the pancakes and lavender lattes. I’m very picky about my lavender lattes and have found very few places who do it well but these folks got it!There’s indoor and outdoor seating on their patio which is covered. Some seats/tables are further in front of the patio and I believe have umbrellas to help shade with the sun.“

La traila #1 Brunch •

“Wanted a quick breakfast taco and saw the reviews for this food truck so had to try it for myself. I ordered 2 Anderson (1 with sausage instead of bacon) and they were exactly what I was craving. I definitely recommend substituting the bacon with sausage... It was fire Don't forget the salsa! It had great flavor and the perfect amount. The ladies were very sweet and efficient, especially for working in such a small space. Will definitely be coming back for a quick morning taco craving!“

“Needed a quick lunch in an area with not a lot of options. Smelled great walking up so I tried the Carnitas Plate. The meat was tender and very flavorful. Great tortillas and beans made for an excellent meal (they were sadly out of rice so I couldn't try that). Both table sauces added good flavor.“

“Great place for breakfast! We had Migas, Eggs Benedict, & bisciuts w/ gravy. Only food complaint was sausage. Had a metallic taste & was bland. Migas was wonderful and just right portion. Service was a little slow but staff was friendly.“
