“I was impressed. Every dish we ordered was unique and bursting with flavor. The wait staff was amazing and service was fantastic. The details of each dish made this restaurant stand out. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time where I truly felt it was a unique culinary experience and you can really feel how much love the chef is pouring into each entree. Worth every penny.
Be aware that this is modern Asian food integrated with Austin flavors. If you want something traditional, this might not be for you. But, take it from me, you should give it a try with an open mind. Best food in Austin. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to write this since it was so so so good.“

“Our first visit to this restaurant celebrating my bday and wanted to try something new. We were delighted to try new food items; our server "Christine" guided us through the menu and offered recommendations. She was AMAZING! Everything we tried; dumplings, peking duck, chicken taro egg roll, and those duck pancakes were DELICIOUS. BRAVO...Presentation of food was beautiful. I was blessed with an adorable dessert♡“

“Cool place with Beijing opera paintings decorating the walls. The food was really good, one dish (some lamb dish) was just a little bit salty, but overall it was still good and didn't detract from the experience. Very authentic Sichuan style! Except there was lunch meat in one of the dishes, which was a little strange, but at least it tasted good. Service was good, and server gave great recommendations. Staff was very friendly in general. Would recommend and return here!“

“OMGoodness this has to be one of the best kept secrets in Austin!!
We had the BBQ Duck Lettuce Wraps, Chilean Sea-bass, Crusted Red Snapper, BBQ Beef Fried Rice and rounded out our dinner with a slice of key lime pie with sorbet. The food presentation was incredible and the unique pairings of spices and sauces.
Portion sizes are huge and it’s a great value for your money. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.“

“Chef Ling Qi Wu deserves every bit of recognition she got from Michelin this week and continues to be one of our favorite chefs. Tonight we adored our dim sum dinner with her celebrated soup dumplings (the best of the best!) the basil and chicken dumplings and the duck pancakes. The restaurant at the Grove is magical and romantic. The staff was also so welcoming and attentive. We added a glass of wine and a well crafted martini and celebrated a special dinner. The menu is so creative and so extensive. I love her other restaurants but this one has a very special vibe.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes in every category from dumplings to main courses. So many options!
Parking: There is ample free parking in a well lit parking garage.“

“Fall 2024 - Their new location is smaller inside than the Anderson Lane location, but the decor is more contemporary. This location, however, offers outside dining. There is a smaller parking area, but manageable.
The quality of the food (delicious and hot) and customer service are STILL EXCELLENT.
Always love seeing Ms. Suzi too. ?“

“Had a fantastic experience and my family is definitely coming back! The food and the service were excellent and the Nasi Pedang was impressive. We came with children who ate picky and that also loved everything and the staff was so sweet to them. I want to eat there everyday.... At least if I could I would. 🥳“

“New ish dumpling spot with fresh handmade dumplings and noodles. They’re originally from Sugar Land, TX, near Houston. So hard to pick favorites since I genuinely enjoyed everything we tried! The soup dumplings have great texture, thin skin, and a generous amount of broth. The noodles are very well done, with a bouncy bite. The pork soup buns had a fair amount of broth as well, the skin is thinner than the bao-type skin you sometimes get with sheng jian bao. I liked the spicy and sour dumplings, thumb buns, and potstickers too! I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of these menu items. Definitely a winning addition to the dumpling scene in Austin.“

“Hakka Express food truck in Anderson Mill is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious Indo-Chinese cuisine. The standout dish has to be the Schezwan noodles—perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice. The momo are a delightful treat, packed with flavor and served fresh. The chicken lollipop is another highlight, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, paired beautifully with their Schezwan gravy.
The customer service is incredibly friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. If you’re in the area and looking for a satisfying meal, Hakka Express is definitely worth a visit!“

“This place is great! But everyone must know PORTION SIZES ARE HUGE! We all got our own plates and we still had enough leftovers for dinner. Food quality and service was great! No complaints, would recommend to anyone wanting some Chinese food!“

“I've been to hotpots with this price point in Vegas and Chicago and Dallas and I was blown away with the quality of the buffet offerings at Soup Leaf. This is premium AYCE hot pot at non-premium prices. The dinner meat menu was pretty standard, but the Buffet was extraordinary as it has so many premium seafood and vegetarian item. My new favorite restaurant in Austin.“

“When in Westlake, and looking for delicious Chinese this would be the spot. From the moment you enter everyone is smiling, music is playing, and it’s definitely upbeat! Service is almost instantly greeted with water, and someone asking what they can get for you. I love this kind of experience. Food is amazing, and the price is good. Love you guys!“

“Just tried Song La for the first time today. Shirley was so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). Whether you've had Taiwanese food before and are craving it or just want to try some incredible fried chicken in a cool South Austin spot, definitely give them a try. ❤“

“I kept hearing about this new restaurant takeover, Yellow Ranger, so had to try it. The server did a great job explaining the menu. The bartender, not so much. We ordered the crab rangoons for an appetizer then the Taiwanese Fried Chicken and the egg fried rice. The fried chicken was great! I’d order that again. The fried rice was so so.“

“I've been here a couple times, and the food is delicious. We had the CS12 Sichuan Sauteed Spicy Chicken, CS09 Aroma Beef Tenderloin, and S19 Spicy Fish Fillet. Each of them were beyond wonderful. I wasn't really into the wonton soup, but I think that is more of a personal preference for a different style of wontons and broth. I really enjoyed that eating the fish, I got an entirely separate and even more delicious flavor profile after taking a drink of water between bites. If you like food with a bit of spice, this is your place.“

“I have been the customer of this restaurant for more than 15 years! They served the best Chinese dishes in Austin ! The only problem now is they only deliver food by one delivery service who refused to deliver to my address! They should consider using “Uber Eat” because I got deliveries from other restaurants in the same shopping center! Don’t know why Asia Cafe is not one of the Chinese Restaurant on Uber Eat app???“

“Good food, automat is an unnecessary novelty. You order. You get a text. You walk up and pull your food out. Completely unnecessary to have random windows, hard to scan the code on your phone. I don't know. Still really enjoyed the dumplings.“

“How did I not know this existed until now? What a unique experience—literally dining in the prep kitchen that supplies all the Ling restaurants in Austin. Not only was the chef there along with her husband, but we also got to hear directly from her about how the menu is inspired by her grandmother’s recipes and the food the owner grew up eating. The presentation of each dish was incredibly thoughtful, and the flavors were just as impressive.
The Wagyu was outstanding, and how often do you get to try jellyfish, duck tongue, and sea cucumber all in one evening? The service was exceptional, making the entire night feel even more special. An unforgettable dining experience!
Parking: Parking is located to the right, behind the building.“
