“I only recommend "Yes" so that people can experience it for themselves. We've been a few times and the first time was a good experience. Perhaps it was first-time-new-experience excitement? The last two times seem to fall short in the flavor department. Food presentation is on-point, ambience is great, location is trendy, service is decent, but flavor on most dishes is lacking. If I'm paying $230.00+ for 4 people...flavor will be the one thing that will take me back. I'm not into the bells and whistles, although it is a nice touch. For that price, flavor needs to be a key factor. I had the Wagyu burger for the first time. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked as requested (medium), but no flavor. The burger "looked" great, but it was boring. Not to mention...it was very messy to eat. I wouldn't order this on a first date. For these reasons, I won't be rushing back. Thanks for the first few experiences as I feel everything else mentioned is good. I'm a foody on the hunt.”

“As we walked in, it took a few minutes to be greeted. After waiting, we proceeded to sit ourselves. We asked for teas with one waitress, then another waitress came by and asked us again. We proceeded to serve ourselves from the buffet.
It was not a great nor bad experience. However, service has a lot of opportunities.
The reason why I am leaving a 5 star is because their Pollo con Calabaza has been the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time! Great job to the chef or cook! I highly recommend their pollo con calabaza, you will not be disappointed.

We ordered street tacos at one of the vendors here, and man, so satisfied with the tacos. The food is so flavorful and just right combination of spices and flavors. The authenticity of the food was beyond measurable and always left the customer satisfied. Those who knew of Sushi Bento’s existence were of the fortunate and privileged to have eaten at this special restaurant. I will forever keep the memories of being greeted and the delicious food that put me through my first years at the University of Texas at the Rio Grande Valley. The fried pork dumplings, Spicy Terry Bento, and the Togarishi Maki were my favorites from their menu. I was deeply saddened to know it is now permanently closed. This restaurant will be missed by many.”
