Other times, I like to drop in for a bagel or a bite to eat. Wait times are sometimes long but understandable for a fresh meal. They've expanded their seating, which makes it easier to grab a table with a friend/ coworker. Thank you for bringing a city feel to a small town.

“I recommended J Cody’s Steaks & BBQ for your catering events. I had tasted them at another event and put my request in for menu choices for our event. I already knew the steak was really good. However, I was not sure if they were affordable for a non-profit event. I was greatly surprised and had no questions about the menu selection. They worked with us on several things to smooth things out. And those things even fell through, you would not have known it did. Their staff was so gracious and stepped in and helped us out. I finished it off with a slice of apple crumb pie with cheddar cheese on top. (Don't knock till you try it) This was the best apple crumb I've had in years! Thick, tart, sweet and filling.

The staff were very nice and helpful with their recommendations. I will definitely be going back. There is a lot more to try.

Cheaper, quicker, and an overall better experience than most shops I've been to. What really sets them apart from other shops comes down to a few crucial components of coffee enjoyment. The quantity of beverage provided in all standard sizes is noticeably more than other major brands, all while still maintaining a superior quality of ingredients.
Additionally, the streamlined approach and atmosphere present in a predominantly automotive focused environment allows for a much more efficient experience overall.

Dustin is a master mixologist and the West End Elixir Co is a gem almost hidden in downtown Bryan, across from the old La Salle on an unassuming corner. The steak was lean and tender and considering that I prefer well done, my steaks usually end up on the tougher side. It was just a tad too seasoned but otherwise a fresh and delicious meal with one complaint withstanding. My fried okra batter was tough chewy and dry which indicates it was not made fresh but rather had been sitting too long to serve. My guests enjoyed their CFS dinners even complimenting how large the small was. This place is definitely a favorite. Don’t forget a slice of PIE!!”

“This place has potential. Not sure how long it's been around but it seemed like the servers were still learning how to run the place. We waited about 20 minutes after ordering our drinks to be checked on. Even the manager came by to check on us, probably because of our confused looks. Then our server (and her trainee) came by and told us they were having problems with the computer/server and had to hand write everything (!). Fine, we can understand that, but *communicate* it to your guests! We are happy to extend grace in that situation. Don't just ignore us. Anyway, food was pricey, as others have mentioned, and portion sizes moderate to small. The one cooked cherry tomato plated next to the pork chop or steak was almost comical. Sides were good- we had the mac n cheese and the Parmesan fries. The s'mores dessert was really fun and a nice ending. The best thing about the place was the ambiance, and finding a part of C-Stat that seems to be newly developing around a nice little lake. Parking was a little confusing when we arrived though- numbers on the parking spaces that apparently don't mean anything, according to the restaurant host. lol”

“Casa Rod is my favorite Mexican food in Bryan/College Station! I don’t need the menu when I walk in — I always know that I’m going to want the iron mikes enchiladas. They’re delicious! Just today though, I learned that the iron mikes enchiladas are no longer included in the $8.99 enchilada Wednesdays. As a college student, I basically lived off that deal — oh well. I get that things are becoming more expensive. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be back, it might just have to be (slightly) less often. I still highly recommend Casa Rod though!”

“This local coffee shop was awesome! I’ve never been to downtown Bryan and my boyfriend recommended it so we went and I got my normal; a iced mocha. It was so different in a good local homemade non Starbucks way and loved it! Pricing was average but I’d pay that for this coffee opposer to any Starbucks! I like supporting the local community too so I’m the area for a good coffee at or below Starbucks pricing with a great atmosphere, you must visit here! I’ll be returning!”
