The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. We ordered garlic naan, Gobi 65, Malabar with beef and veggies, chicken and lamb biryani.”

I was unfortunate enough to drop my phone in the storm drain getting out of the car at the valet and we went inside and asked for a crowbar or something to lift the drain cover and hopefully retrieve it. To our complete shock a little bit of time passed and a server came by with my phone in hand wiping it off and delivering it to the table like magic! Incredible. “Go here. If you go anywhere to eat in DFW area, let it be this place. The first true farm to table restaurant that puts its heart and soul into everything they make. We were blown away by every cocktail and dish we had, but the star of the show was the Tea Braised Pig Tails (pictured below). As a farmer and a butcher, I have no idea where they source these magical, massive pig tails, but they are 100% the best tasting thing I've put in my mouth in Dallas since we came. In all my (16 total) years in bars and restaurants, I've never been more impressed by a single bartender. This guy is lacto fermenting, dehydrating, infusing, & manipulating different ingredients in incredible ways that deserve as much credit as the kitchen. Honestly, the combination of a passionate chef and a passionate bartender make this place hands down the best spot in DFW. I wish more places were ethically sourcing ingredients and using more of the animals they serve, as this place has so perfectly achieved. If they were closer, I'd probably be trying to do business with them in some manner.”

“I recently had a wonderful date night with my boyfriend at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and promptly seated. I was in recently on business and made my pilgrimage to Noon (an absolute must if you're in the area). Everything we ordered was fantastic. As we were leaving I noticed a radiant woman speaking to some just-seated patrons. I had a feeling... As we were walking out I asked if she was responsible for the food. Beaming, she said: :yes I made everything. I created the menu. This is my restaurant!". “I was at Dennys 8.7.24 at 7 to 8 something. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the dining room was clean. The problem came when I was ready to check out. We had a coupon that states if I spend $30, you can get $10 off. In regard to the coupon, it allowed me to be able give the $10 that I would save to the server. When I went to check out the coupon would NOT take. (Keep in mind, I just got this coupon on Sunday when I left Dennys.) She called a manager, and the manager stated that she was NOT able to use my coupon because it was expired. I asked could she honor the coupon because I just got the coupon on Sunday. She stated, NO. Then she said that we had coupons on our ticket already. We had 3 meals, and 2 kid's meals and kids eat free after 4 p.m. I explained that is not what the coupon stated. Then she looked at the other coupons, which was the same coupons. She proceeds to remove the box and said that they were all expired and kept my coupon as well. I had to pay regular price $35 to pay the bill. was not happy about that at all. Also, a couple behind me had the same exact problem. I waited around to make sure she didn't honor their coupon, and she didn't. Now we all left out disappointed because we spent more to honor the coupon, and it wasn't valid. :(”

“My husband and I stopped here for dinner while waiting for our flight out. The service was very good and our server's name was Lindsey and she did a great job. We never wanted for anything. My husband got the Grilled chicken Panini and really liked it. It was very good. I got the Cobb Salad and was very pleased with it as well. The prices were what you would expect at the airport. Be aware that they offer add a credit card surcharge when you use the credit card. Would recommend for your dinner needs while in Terminal D.”

“Great tasting Neapolitan-style pizza. I highly recommend the Cacio e Pepe pizza. The parmigiana crema on top was a bit heavy, but it's easy to remove a bit. A solid Margherita pizza is a sign of a good pizzeria and this one easily clears the bar. The Margherita al Crudo takes it three steps further by adding prosciutto, arugula, and shaved parmesan cheese. Parking can be tough. Save yourself some time hunting on the street and park behind the Crate & Barrel instead.

We were seated by the manager, and he came back when we were almost finished to check on our evening and chat for a few seconds. A couple days after our visit, we received a phone call from the restaurant to just follow up. If I was going to nitpick about anything, it would be that the calamari had a sweet flavor (not our favorite... but it was still good). We had a prime seating location overlooking the city and the people that were coming to the restaurant.... A++ to Truluck's. We had a spectacular evening!!!!!”

“Absolutely loved this spot. The setting is super casual but also very chic at the same time. The entrance reminds me of a classic New York style restaurant and the level of food and service do all the talking.

The sashimi and fresh sushi are top quality with little elements of elevated taste. The seared salmon and the red snapper are my absolute favorites and I would highly recommend the Philly style wagyu roll. Subtle but obvious when you taste it.

The Japanese whiskey old fashioned. Was a highlight for me. The infusion of the smoke comes with an amazing creative element that I recommend ordering directly at the bar to watch the creation of those classic cocktail.

Next time I visit I will be sitting at the sushi bar to take in the coordination of the chefs and watch this beautiful artistry of my favorite cuisine on earth.”

From the beginning, they made sure to make me feel special, writing a writing a custom card, giving us a dessert to take him, and even giving me a blanket because I was a bit cold in the restaurant! We both ordered filet mignon, and they were cooked perfectly. The side dishes and deviled eggs as an appetizer were just as good. My better half and I bellied up to the bar as we waited just a few minutes for our table. I enjoyed a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned, and Sonia, a Pacifico. Immediately after being seated Edgar was quick to serve. We ordered chips and a massive guacamole as an appetizer. Then we shared sizzlin' steak fajitas. So good! I ordered another OF, while Sonia shifted to a Margarita on the Rocks that hit the spot. The Rita is El Vecino's offering during this summer's Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Cocktail Passport program. So thankful for their participation. John and the EV family have been fantastic chamber members. Anyhow, John was running around, working the room, prepping tables and supporting staff. I love seeing business owners hustle, and he sure does that. “This was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. The atmosphere was warm and pleasant. All the team members I encountered were friendly and professional. The service was timely and attentive. The manager on the floor that day, Angeles, was very kind to my parents made them feel very welcomed and comfortable.

The food options were varied, the salad bar was always fully stocked and the ingredients looked fresh and appetizing. The different meats were well seasoned each and tender. My family enjoyed the variety of meats available.

Edit: I just want to mention that I got the Best of Brazil Special for $40.00. You have to let the host know because they give you a different card. In the special there are some meats not available, but the server will let you know and the team member with the meat also knows by looking at the card so they shouldn’t come by your table. Even with the restrictions the special still offers a varied amount of meats. We really enjoyed it.

“Came here the first time on a Saturday afternoon for a friends birthday dinner. We were upstairs near the bar. The menu by the bar is very limited which was disappointing. I ordered the ricotta dip to share, which was ok, but not enough for dinner, so I was going to order something else, but the waitress never came back. She was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. I will say the 2 drinks I had were great and the atmosphere was fun. We had a great time but I left hungry. My friend had a great time and that’s all that matters. I would like to come back and actually have a chance to eat from the dinner menu.”

“Came here for the Valentine’s 17-course omakase experience and it was exceptional! Great service and fair prices. Each dish was well prepared with high quality ingredients that complemented the natural flavors of each fish. I enjoyed every dish and had many favorites, including the truffle salmon sashimi, hotate, hirame, kinmedai, striped jack (seasonal), and the strawberry matcha panna cotta with house-made chocolate was a great finish.

“Came here for our anniversary, 10 years, to try something different. WOW, everything was delicious and there are still items in the menu we want to try. Kristen was our server, & she was incredible. She was able to describe flavors and pairings to a tee. She helped us navigate the menu and surprised us with champagne and a sparkler on the coconut cream pie (which was incredible! I’m the coconut cream pie fan, my husband is always like ok (bc he loves me), but he even said, ‘This is great.’ So it was a great night at Pillar. We will come back for sure. “We visited Dallas from New York over Thanksgiving week, and since we’ve been to the original Catch in the Meatpacking District a few times, we decided to check out the newly opened Catch Dallas on Thanksgiving Day.

The food and overall experience were just as good as we remembered—if not better. The property itself is stunning, but what really stood out were the King Crab Hand Rolls. Recommended by our server, they were absolutely delicious and left a lasting impression.

Speaking of service, our server Michael, who also happened to be from NYC, was incredible. He provided a warm and attentive experience, with spot-on recommendations for food, cocktails, and wine. Everything felt thoughtful and perfectly balanced, making for an unforgettable meal.

“Such a fun and great place to grab snacks or a small meal while looking for books at half price books! I came here with some of my girlfriends! I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection and the high quality of every item we ordered! For pastries: We got the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cruffin, pesto Parmesan croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and Persian love cake! I got a horchata to drink and my friend got the Turkish coffee! All were so good! The horchata was very sweet! The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cruffin was all of our favorite!”
