“Happened to be staying at the Marriott Marquis and decided to eat here since it was adjacent to the hotel. It was a great decision. It is always a plus when patio seating is available. The drinks were amazing and the food was on point. Xochi is an authentic Mexican gem! The vibe, food, and drinks are amazing. The ambiance is vibrant, the dishes are bursting with flavor, and the handcrafted cocktails are a must-try. I highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Houston and, of course, even for locals, for an unforgettable Mexican dining.“

“This is why I love Yelp. I'm giddy when Yelp reviews point me to places like this, that I never would have found on my own. We were very pleased with the food, the service, and the vibes we found at Cochinita! We ordered The Desayuno (not pictured because my husband dug in before I could snap one) and the 3 Leches French Toast, a latte and a London Fog. All plates were emptied before we left. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and was beautifully plated. They have a collection of house made sauces and oils available to spice up your meal (and you can even purchase some to take home.) Cochinita is a real treat. The neighborhood is worth a cruise after breakfast for the murals, too!“
“Taste : ✅Value for money : ✅Service : ✅Ambience : ✅---Order review.Truffle fries were great but the portions are small. Don't expect this fries to last for a table.Lawnmower fries with queso was like most fries, nothing special.Mushroom pizza is the best out of the 4 dishes that we tried here.Hummus was refreshing with some flat bread and fresh veggies.“

“I have an extensive list of coffee shops on my "must try" and Oso has definitely been on my list. I got up early this morning and decided to swing by for a coffee with a friend. The location is very small but extremely inviting. The inside can sit maybe 10-15 people and there is some outdoor seating available. I could see this place getting packed pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. While we already had breakfast prior to arriving we were pleasantly surprised they offered a breakfast menu. We both had the horchata latte and a concha. We really enjoyed the horchata latte was really good, super excited to try more drinks! This might be my new regular!“

“Hear me out! This burger spot is top tier. There needs to be 10 stars available to rate this place because they delivered a quality burger and it was stacked! As an LA native home of the best burger joints on the west coast. Argue with your mama not me! Champ Burger takes the lead of the closest thing to home. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and loaded. I got the champ burger with cheese, bacon, grilled onions, jalapeños, tomatoes and lettuce. No need for a double patty, this is not your in n out size burger the one patty will do just fine. I thought my cousin was exaggerating after the first bite until I tried mine and she wasn't. It was the real deal! All I'm going to say is if you are in second ward stop by and give champ burger a try. Not only is their food good but the prices are great, give good portions and the staff are nice. This is a burger stand vibe so whether you want to eat in the outdoor seating area or take your meal home the Champ Burger team got you! See for yourself and support this business!“

“Went on Tuesday for their open mic comedy. Awesome, low key vibes, comics were pretty funny, and beer was delicious. Favorite beer was Fake Landing! They have a food truck on Tuesdays and their bartenders are amazing. Pollo and Natalie were so accommodating and knowledgeable as they guided us on what to drink and let us try whatever we wanted. We can’t wait to become regulars here.“

“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“

“My favorite pizza spot in Houston. Their pizzas are wood fired which absolutely makes the pizza taste a hundred times better than regular pizza. Their decor is unique and creative and the food is incredible. I believe this is a family business, the staff is very nice and attentive and don’t forget to try their Nutella pizza for dessert it is a must if you go to this amazing place!“

“Had dinner here with a couple friends before going to a show. The food was good, but the service was just okay. Our server didn't write down our orders, and there was six of us all ordering entrees and appetizers. Unfortunately, some of the food came out wrong, and I can only assume it was because the server was relying on her memory alone. Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere is cute and authentically Belgian. I think four stars is a generous rating given the service issues. I do plan to return next time I am in the mood for European cuisine.“

“What a neat Food-stand? Food-counter? There's a word for this in Hindi but for street food, so this is similar except that it's only coffees, drinks, and pastries. I read that the chef is from New York, but I especially like the location. I always go for their seasonal drinks but my husband always goes for latte with alt milk. Whenever I decide to walk the Columbia Tap Trail, this is a nice stop land treat about halfway through the trail. I feel rewarded. Although I have seen regulars here with their pups and those who also just look like they just popped out of bed for some coffee (I can relate)! It's nice to see that this place is still flourishing since the pandemic I'm sure I'll be back!“
“Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. The beer selection was on point for both myself and my wife who enjoy very different styles. The food truck that was there was perfect for a good snack. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have some sort of wait staff on a busy day so we didn’t have to wait in line at the bar. But overall great experience. Keep making great beer. We will be back for sure.“

“Because of the food and proximity to the convention center, this has become a tradition every visit to Houston.Great burgers with great ingredients! The rest of the food is great as well.Service was quick and friendly and handled our group of 11 with ease.“
“A really great atmosphere to be at if you're in the area! They have video games, comic books, a room to play table tennis and overall great people here. They also have The Simpsons playing on repeat which is always nice. My only real issue with the place is that the restrooms aren't exactly clean and parking can be very hectic. Other than that, I enjoy it here!“

“Great brewery with a strong menu. Went there for lunch at 11 AM on a Saturday. Ritchie welcomed us to the brewery, then ran through what was on tap and their food offerings before pouring us some of the breweries reverse osmosis water. I hate going somewhere and drinking some funky tap water with my beer l, so this was great. My beer faces were Who’s Your Paddy? Irish Red and Hot Boi Blueberry/Raspberry Blonde Ale. Both were excellent, with the Side Gig Sour Ale and Gurl Dinner Stout getting honorable mentions. All were very drinkable session beers, great for enjoying in their fresh and open taproom. For lunch, we opted for a breakfast pizza off the brunch menu and some Brussels sprouts off their normal menu. The breakfast pizza crust had a chewy interior and a crisp exterior, perfectly done. Sausage, egg, and tots were supported by a delicious white sauce. The sprouts were seared in a Szechuan sauce and topped with pickled onions, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds. I could have eaten those all day.Cannot recommend this place enough, and kudos to Richie (beer tender) and Bobby (chef) for their hospitality, excellent service, and engaging conversation.“

“Chose this coffee spot as a place to chill before our flight out of houston. Floored on the food - the Chinese sausage tacos were amazing. The tortillas were just right, good portions, right amount of heat, sweet, and texture. Best breakfast taco I've ever had. Wish i had more time in Houston to try their whole menu! Cold brews were good as well!“

“What? You only have fries? They actually have additional items and please refer to the updated menu that I posted. They are a bit pricey, and their prices have gone up significantly in past few months. I’m not sure if that is because of the supply and demand issue.I enjoyed the taste and the freshness of the food. I ordered a small portion of Bayou fries. Will I order this again? Absolutely. They are a bit pricey, but you can be the judge of the taste and portion size. I have posted what I ordered in the attached pictures.Enjoy…!!Vegetarian options: They serve vegan fries, but I did not verify if they are 100% vegan without cross contamination and fried in a different oil separately.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.“

“Hands-down, my favorite coffee shop in Houston. All of the baristas are literally so sweet and care so much about you having a perfect experience. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and we were easily able to find a seat—which I’ve never experienced at any other Houston coffee shop but they literally have so much space and seating it’s lovely. I had both the Pistachio Matcha Latte and Nutella Crepe and both were phenomenal. Will absolutely be returning.“

“I am not from the area, not even from Texas! The food, service, and ambience here are great and I am a little tired from my 3.5-hour flight.Quality starts from the top in terms of leadership. Everyone is pleasant and just formal enough to be professional enough but toned down to be family-friendly. Diana is the manager and she leads by example. If she were to leave the shoes would be too big. Our server, Juan, is a great ambassador for the restaurant and menu; a great server.Compared to where I live I am happy not to hear foul language from the tables around us. Pleasant music is playing too. What a great place to eat. Sincerely.“

“I have been to every place in Houston that sells pizza that’s worth going to and this one has the best pizza hands down. The dough is fantastic, crispy and chewy. Sauce is tangy and robust. “The restaurant was very clean, staff was friendly, and service was prompt. Our waitress was very knowledgable, quick, and overall pleasant. The drinks and appitizers were good. We were not fans of our main entrees, however Bryan was very quick to address this issue for us. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to enjoy their meal and time. “We have lived in northside for a couple of years; we now regret having waited so long to try Rocco's. It was delightful. The porch was pleasant, the bathrooms were clean, and, most importantly, the food was tasty. Our son enjoyed the kids pizza (it's big) and we tried two pasta dishes. The tiramisu was a delight too. We'll go back.Kid-friendliness: They do not have a kids menu but do have kid meal options. They were friendly and seemed genuinely happy we were there as a family.“
“I had an amazing experience at this brewery during an office party. Being the oldest craft brewery in Texas, the place exudes history. The restaurant's artistic decor and Game-of-Thrones vibe with wooden beams and chandeliers create a unique atmosphere.Inside, chapels filled with captivating artwork add to the charm. There's also outside seating by a fountain resembling an overflowing beer chalice, providing a delightful setting for a meal. The Beer Garden, adorned with art cars, adds to the overall appeal.I highly recommend this spot for not just the excellent food and brewery, but also for the rich artworks and historical ambiance. A must-visit!“

“This brewery was definitely a vibe. You walk in and the first thing you see is a huge menu that covers the entire back wall, including a generous selection of beer. Bartenders were all super friendly. It was a gorgeous day so I sat outside in the beaming sunlight to enjoy my West Coast IPA, which was delicious. The outside area is humongous, so much room for activities. Large statues of The Beatles are nestled in the back corner which gives the place character and draws you in. A great place to come with friends for a few drinks and some bar games (Jenga included).“

“I used to see this place growing up, I used to attend the middle school next door, and I always heard about the amazing sandwiches and burgers from Joes. I always asked my mom to try the spot next to my school but we never were able to give it a go. 15 years later here I am trying for the first time, FINALLY! This place gives such a homie feel! The owner greeted us and treated us so kindly! He gave us a little history on the deli and it just further set the tone for the southern hospitality feel. As for the Sammy, WOW! It was really good and it lived up to the hype that I used to hear years ago!“
“The drag show at New Potato was SO much fun. The drinks were great and affordable and the staff went above and beyond to suggest drinks we'd like. They were wonderful. Yes, the patio is incredible. “I was visiting my family in Houston and my cousin took me here for poke. I absolutely loved trying this place - perfect amount of protein, the fish tasted fresh, not too much sauce, and great portion sizes. I even liked how they had utensils corresponding to different levels of expertise, which was funny. The ambiance was nicer inside but there is seating inside and outside. The staff was nice and completed our order pretty fast. I loved the Spicy Shoyu signature bowl with rice as the base, spicy tuna instead of salmon, and seaweed salad added. Usually poke places can be stingy with the amount of protein they add but this place added the perfect amount! I also love seaweed salad so I was ecstatic to see it as a topping. My cousins also loved the Tuna Aioli signature bowl and we all finished the regular size, so it was great portion sizes. Can't wait to visit Houston again and eat the Spicy Shoyu bowl again!“
“Amazing pub with even better owner's. Me and my brothers stopped by once and they were going to close when we got there so they gave us each a beer free of charge and talked about the place and a bit about them. I'll definitely be sure to make this place a regular of mines.“
“Best brewery in Houston in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and the quality of beer is awesome. They do some very unique styled beers and they also brew some older styles that you don't see that much nowadays. We love their barrel aged saisons and farmhouse ales. “Space cowboy is one of our favorite spots in Houston. Why?They have a gianormous turfed patio (dog friendly) with TV's and swings everywhere so you can catch the best games or play some outdoor games like sand bags or beer pong AND there's a pool connected that you can enjoy on a hot summer day . BUT the best part is their Wednesday steak night which is the best biggest juiciest steak in town.“

It will definitely stay on my frequent visit list for eateries.“
“It's an East End staple. Not a ton of parking but you're going to want to ride share anyways. Friendly staff, plenty of drink options. We recently went for a BBQ pop-up, excited to hear Willow will be opening a joint nearby. Grab a drink and enjoy the nice patio on a gorgeous H-Town day. Entertainment inside & a video game.
