I’m so excited to try more of their creative drink options! What made the visit even better was discovering how family-friendly and fun the space is! They have a cozy play area for kids, a pool table, and even a little library where you can trade books. Plus, there are fun items for light shopping around the shop. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to hang out for a while. I can’t wait to go back again!”

“Box Car BBQ absolutely blew us away catering my husband’s Army retirement event! From the start, Jeremy made everything easy with great communication and menu options. On the day of the event, he and his staff were kind, professional, while going above and beyond to take care of every detail. And the food? Hands down the BEST BBQ we and our guests have ever had ANYWHERE in East Texas. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth, the ribs were perfectly smoked, and the sides and sauce are just as amazing. People are still talking about how incredible everything was! If you want flawless service and unforgettable BBQ, Jeremy and his team at Box Car are in a league of their own.”

The food was also great. I highly recommend visiting Lone Star Charlie’s near Livingston, TX; you won't be disappointed.❣️”

“so glad we found this hidden gem...they close at 3 and we arrived after 2. everything was fresh...buffet was well stocked with homemade food...everything tidy...we were not rushed...when we left there was people still eating and the buffet was still fully stocked...they did not start breaking it down or asking people if they were finished. awesome job”

“Okay - first of all the service was so good the entire family commented on it at some point. So energetic. I wish I’d posted the review same day and captured our waitress’ name before I spaced it!! Will update the review at some if I can. Despite how busy they were we still got fast seating, we were checked on regularly, and staff was so energetic and wonderful listeners. Our waitress engaged with and helped the kids make great picks. This might go without saying if you know the area or (get recommendations from others like we do)… this is where you go to get Sushi.

The Sushi is prepared to perfection by dedicated artisans (you can watch through the glass at the bar). Sake Cafe is also very well staffed, clean, comfortable and huge spread of offerings on the menu. Enjoy!”

The garden salsa bought out with the chips was good, but our waiter brought us some chilli taqueria style salsa out as well. All 3 were tasty. If im near lufkin Hudson area again I'd go out of my way to stop in for lunch again.”

“Got a party platter instead of cooking after work for special guests. The food was, as always, GREAT! Super reasonable, ready on time, packaged very well, some of the containers I saved for Meal Prep, and it was way more than enough for 5 people. All the fixings and queso were included, even the super hot boom sauce that we love! 10 out of 10 recommend!”

The place is very clean and the people are quite friendly. Our order was ready in minutes and the food. OH MY GOSH, THE FOOD!!!!!!!! I have no words. All I can say is IT WAS A BLESSING TO THE SOUL!!!!!!!!! Next time I am in Lufkin, this will be the go-to place.”

“I ordered a 12 oz. New York Strip tonight on New Year's Eve. I ordered it medium, when it came out I asked for it to be cooked a tiny bit more. When they brought it out again, she asked me to cut into it. I tried but the entire steak was hard to cut and beyond even being well done. I didn't eat it. I ate mashed potatoes and the salad, that's all. I was really looking forward to a good steak tonight. 😒”

The food is not worth what you pay for it. I wil be finding another place for my weekend breakfast burritos.”

Each of them came over to personally wish me a happy birthday when I was having lunch with a friend on July 4th. Madison and Denitra had just had birthdays so we birthday girls took a picture together. Thomas brought over a fresh baked cookie to help celebrate. It was an all around wonderful experience!”

The food was so flippin good and fresh...I'm just ashamed I hadn't tried this little spot sooner. I chose to eat outside but they do have indoor dining and it's very clean and neat. If you're looking for a little detour from the typical Mexican fare, this is your spot. BONUS: They take card! The salsas must be used in moderation; they are merciless.

“My husband and I ate dinner on a Saturday night at Chick-fil-A. We went inside because we had been traveling in the car all day and wanted to stretch our legs. Everyone in the restaurant welcomed us and were very friendly. We ordered chicken strips and the cobb salad. They were delicious. Also, we wanted to try their peach shake and were so glad that we did. It was wonderful. We wanted to give a shout out to an employee named Melinda, who was very professional and answered all our questions. We certainly enjoyed our time spent talking to her. This man isn’t even a manager (yet!) and he’s already doing manager things. Like??? He steps in when people are slacking, keeps his cool when the lunch rush is insane, and somehow STILL manages to be nice to literally everyone (even the customers who ask for 12 sauces for one nugget). 🙄💅

He’s the type that shows up early, stays late, and actually cares about the job, not just clocking in and out. And don’t even get me started on his work ethic. Alan doesn’t just go the extra mile, he builds the whole highway.

I’ve seen managers with less leadership in their whole body than Alan has in his pinky. Give this man a title, a headset, and some authority already. Trust me, the store would run smoother and morale would skyrocket.

“Food was okay, but not the best. The General Tso's was sweet and had no heat. If that was what I wanted, I would have gone for the honey sesame. Most of the chicken dishes were over cooked thin slices instead of chunks. Chunks hold up better on a heated buffet. Sushi was fair. Spicy mayo sauce was lacking any of the spiciness. Etc etc etc.”

Other than the wait to order and pay, the food literally was at our table by the time we got our drinks. Hoping that our group takes us back soon.”

“I’ve always enjoyed CrackerBarrel shopping and the food. Food use to be good. Last 3 times we have been to Lufkin Cracker Barrel the food was no good not worth the money or my time. This last visit when we finally got some one’s attention to get butter for our now cold food and also under cooked food. The girl brought a hand full of butter with two or three that were already used. I normally take my mother there but I doubt I will go back u til they get better qualiity all the way around.”
