“An excellent dining experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Beautiful decor, stylish but comfortable seating, and just good vibes all round.

All of the food was amazing and so creative, especially the beet tartare which had this vegan egg yolk that looked and tasted like a real egg yolk! The mocktails were really fun too.

Only downside is that it’s pricey for the amount of food you get, but if you’re looking for a more refined dining experience with great atmosphere and delicious food you should definitely consider this place.”

Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it there at the time and ended up going to two other places—one was okay, the other was awful. Later, I told my wife we needed to try Sabores, maybe on New Year’s Day. Again, we ended up at a “safe” spot we like to visit. The food and service were good, but it was just our usual go-to. Fast forward to last week: my best friend from Puerto Rico came to visit with his family. He loves to eat, and his wife can be hard to please. This time, we decided to go to Sabores Tapas Bar. I’ll admit, I was nervous—I wanted them to have a great experience, but pleasing everyone is never easy. Finally, we went. What can I say? The food was amazing, and the service was just as incredible. It was so good we couldn’t stop eating. I had high expectations—growing up, my house was always full because my friends came over for my mom’s cooking. She’s an amazing cook. Mom, forgive me for saying this, but Sabores Tapas Bar is as good as, if not better than, your cooking, and the service was amazing. Wow. I’ve found the place. It’s so good that I want to go back and try dishes I normally don’t like, just to see if they can make me love them. I can’t wait to return. My taste buds have found the love of their life at Sabores Tapas Bar.”

Both managers, Will and Samuel, are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and highly attentive to customer needs, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a close friend's home. Each time we have visited, we have been served by different servers, all of whom have been carefully selected for their exceptional courtesy and willingness to accommodate our preferences with genuine smiles. Recently, we introduced a couple of friends to this delightful restaurant, and they were thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is exceptional, with pleasant music that is not overly loud, allowing for comfortable conversations. This is a significant advantage in today's restaurant landscape, where music is often played at excessive volumes. Furthermore, as a Mexican restaurant, La Posada is exceptionally vegetarian and vegan-friendly. As vegetarians, we were delighted to see their vegan chicken substitute on the menu and we are hopeful that they will soon introduce veggie sausage and vegetarian beef options.”

My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! “I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I’m a big fan of this micro business. The place is 50% wine shop 50% curio shop and 50% wine bar. That’s 150% and it’s totally correct. Zena the proprietor is a real hoot. She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine without being at all stuffy. The small selection o bottles offered here for retail sale are expertly curated by her. She knows each bottle intimately and can talk knowledgeably with a wine snob or a mere drunkard.

The real star of the show are her homemade desserts. She does a take on Little Debbie oatmeal snack cakes that is very nearly orgasmic. The chocolate cake is also a star. Try something from the dessert menu and you won’t be disappointed.

The curio shop has wine themed merchandise ranging from the witty to outright bawdy. You will find decanters, rubber ducks, and funny towels. Plus, she has an excellent selection of chocolates.

“I rarely write reviews, but my family and I had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to share it. We reserved a table for 6 for a birthday dinner for my brother and his family. The Waiter was superb, filling glasses each time they became even a bit low and promptly attending to us throughout our visit. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and had a fun sense of humor as well. The food was delicious. From the Bruschetta appetizer to our entrees, which ranged from Spaghetti and Meatballs to more sophisticated fare, each of us loved our food. The portions are generous and present a great value. The two you ladies both greeted me and walked me through the different variety of cookies they had to offer —also shared their personal favorites and why, my cookie selection was a great one - I enjoyed my cranberry white chocolate cookie! They also have weekly features! The establishment was very clean and welcoming and definitely worth a visit next time you are in the area or just to come by and grab a delicious cookie or two! When it comes to the food we tried the sushi roll I think I took the dragon roll and it was good but when it comes to the prices I can say it’s a little expensive to this quality.
