“Sofia's Pupuseria is delicious every time I go - a favorite spot on Columbia Pike. Great pupusas, delicious plantains, and a variety of Latin/Salvadorian options. I also like the comfortable, laidback atmosphere there. If you are the kind of person who needs to spend $50-$100 for a fine-dining, Michelin star experience, then this is not the place for you. The meals are served on styrofoam plates on plastic trays. But if you let that hold you back from trying Sofia's, then you are truly missing out on some incredible flavors. Give it a try - you won't regret it!“
“A nice gem that's been around forever in S Arlington. Do yourself a favor and get the Enchilada de Salvadorena. It's insane and the value cannot be beaten anywhere. You'll see. Fried yucca instead of chips is a real treat too. Love this place. It's the best restaurant I've even been to.........that's pink! Great people, great food.“

They have Tabasco on the tables and serve a very mild sauce (+ coleslaw) with every order, so BYO hot sauce if you’re craving spicy ?. “La Unión restaurant is one of the best in the area. The food is always on point and the service is top notch. I usually order the shrimp dishes (camarones entomatados or camarones en crema). Yum!
