“The experience was great from the start, largely due to the hostess Dulce! I made a reservation for a surprise birthday and she made sure that the entire thing went off without a hitch! She took the time to make sure all our needs were met and she even followed up with afterwards to ensure the experience was top notch! Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, this type of personalized experience is a lost art. The food was great and service was quick and thorough! My only critique would be their salad bar/appetizer station didn’t have anything really memorable or outstanding; however, I was mostly there for the meat selection anyway so that did not bother me one bit!“

Our server, George, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He handled our party of 16 so smoothly — it felt like we were at a table of four with how attentive and efficient he was! “We celebrated our Meetiversary at Heirloom and had a lovely time. The barstaff provided great recommendations and started our night with some delicious cocktails. At dinner, Jarred provided just the right amount of attention, recommendations, and the best was his ability to land a smoke bubble on a spoon. I'm convinced he's a wizard. Each course was delicious, enough of things familiar done a different way that we had a cozy adventure. There were some surprises that added to the magic of our night and we greatly appreciated the efforts.“

Jack provided excellent service, a dining room manager came to our table quite often to make sure we were okay and a nice lady employee stopped by to speak to us because our 1 year son got her attention. She said he was so cute and she told us of her 3 year old child. It was nice talking to her.

Jack had our Caesar salad and the kids chicken split in the kitchen and brought out the Caesar salad in separate bowls for my wife and I and brought out the kids chicken on separate plates for our daughters. Our daughters loved the chicken,n French fries and ketchup and ate it all. The Caesar salad was amazing. Jack asked could he bring out the kids chicken plates early, we said yes, and he brought their plates early as requested.

I had blackened salmon and shrimp, gave the shrimp to my wife and she ate it up. My wife ordered New York strip steak, baked potato, sweet potato casserole and brussel sprouts. She ate what she could and boxed up the remaining so we could take it home and eat later for leftovers. She enjoyed the meal.

Jack had ice cream and chocolate syrup brought out for our daughters. They enjoyed it.

Bathroom was nice as well.

“Absolute amazing place to eat traditional fried American food done right by Americans! The prices are fair and there’s a good variety of drinks and sides. The mac & cheese is amazing no matter what that other guy says. To the guy that said it’s not American owned anymore, it most certainly is I guess you just got a problem on what kind of Americans they are. Also, pretty sure they are Korean. Or at least that’s what my Chinese Buddy tells me! But since it is Asian American owned now we are forced to eat with chopsticks.“

“Me and my man usually have a routine on Mondays where we workout and then get something to eat. Today when we were walking by, Miguel popped his head and invited us to come and try the fish grill, and thank God we did, the food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh! I got the giant shrimp with rice and coleslaw with a side of garlic butter and it was so good, I would definitely get that again. My man got the salmon burrito bowl and he really enjoyed it! I would highly recommend the fish grill, thank you Miguel for inviting us in.“

“The Capital Grill in Fairfax is an outstanding restaurant wth excellent food and service. I can't think of a better place to go for special occasions. We were just there last night for my wife's birthday and everthing we ate and drank was exceptional. Our waiter, "Brian", was also the best. We will always ask for him when we go back. “A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?“

“Such a wonderful hole in the wall. The lady running the register was so kind - ended up giving me a free soda out of the kindness of her heart and kindly retrieving me from outside when my food was ready for pickup. Their General Tso’s was perfect even after eating it after getting home.

As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“I have visited several locations of capital Grille throughout the East Coast. I was a little surprised that the wait staff was rushing us through our meal. My sliced fillet was requested to be cooked at medium and I received it at medium rare to rare. Due to the obvious rush, I did not send it back. I have been to this location numerous times and was disappointed that it wasn't up to the standards that I'm used to.“
