I requested a specially prepared curry vegetable dish, and the chef/owner was happy to create it for me. Several of our party enjoyed tikki masala with chicken. We also enjoyed lentils, cooked to perfection and wonderful chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was impecable. Our waiters were so attentive and responsive, even though it was a very busy night. The ambience was warm and classy. The chef/owner was so gracious and even visited us at our table. I can't wait to return to CIC.”

She had even took time to visit my wedding website so she knew what to expect. I was shocked (in a positive way!) it truly shows just how dedicated they are to their customers. From the taste testing to the day of, we couldn’t have asked for better people to work with! We also received lots of compliments on how well the food tasted!! The Bar is huge with a great selection. We ordered the pork rind nachos.. oh Yum. They came out crackling and popping with pulled pork and spicy jalapeños and cheese sauce. My Dinner was their Crab cakes - deliciousness light and fluffy and oh the Brussel sprouts with the pork belly were Great! The wife had a short rib appetizer for her dinner and it was fall apart yummy. Her Mac and cheese was great too - it was the heaviest Mac n cheese I have ever had. The our son got the Shrimp and Grits. He said they were great and the grits were really cheesy too. Thank you for a great dining experience! We shall return when we are down this way again.”

We headed to the restaurant, but when we got there the owner explained that the restaurant had just closed for the evening. He gave us a few recommendations on other places to eat, and we started to search for an Uber. A few minutes later, the owner, Tysean, opened the door and offered to go back in the kitchen and cook something for us. We couldn’t pass that offer up. We waited for a few minutes, and he brought us out some of the best chicken I’ve eaten in a long time along with some, nicely seasoned potato wedges and hot buttery honey biscuits. Along with some honey mustard dipping sauce and sweet tea to wash it all down, we had an amazing meal. I’ll definitely be back, and you should visit if you are in Richmond.”

I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.”

Wasn't impressed with the rib egg roll, they were popular though. Street parking could be a challenge during peak dining hours.

With Omakase the chef chooses for you (can request changes for diet/allergy). Different than the sushi menu. Clean. Inventive. We had mackerel, baby scallop, amberjack, sea bass, shrimp, snow crab, sea bream, fluke, salmon, so many tuna varieties, and others. Some simple. Some lightly torched. Some with drops of truffle or wasabi, or sea salt - that all brought out the flavors. The host and chef were so nice and clearly excited to share their artistry! Lovely! Will be back for sure and I can’t believe we have this in RVA. It’s a gift for those who love sushi and want something outside of the typical.”

The Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings were my fave- so yummy, juicy, and just a great flavor. I would have liked a variety of sauce options instead of the same dipping sauce for the buns & dumplings to jazz things up a bit, but this was a really nice dining experience. Pretty traditional in terms of the sauce. The site is not allowing me to post pics with this review but the filling was pretty generous in both buns as well as in the dumplings. The Chicken Soup was just ok- it's missing a little something, maybe just needs some seasoning.”

My favorite cookies are the GF thumb print. They have an excellent texture and every flavor I’ve had has been yummy! I just wish they weren’t so expensive. $3.50 for one cookie is rather high. All the people who work there are super sweet and give excellent customer service. We have gotten a lot of cakes for special occasions (with non Vegan family members) and you can not tell they are Vegan cakes. They are moist and delicious. Our waitress (Storm) was top tier with energy like that i should have felt some connection(CAT MOM) she was awesome. My cousin always eat here so she ordered her regular (General tso cauliflower) which were bomb. I ordered the (Bread service) appetizer & baby .... The bread , the butter , the oil, & olives pure freshness & delicious. For the entree i went with the Veggie burger which indeed is the kind i prefer (handcrafted with rice & other ingredients) and sweet potato fries which were excellent at taste. My cousin ordered the parmesan truffle fries which were fresh and full of flavor. For my drink we scope over the menu but something about the Orchard Sangria pulled me into the right direction, the cinnamon/ sugar rim combo was exquisite and rich in taste as it clashed with the sangria. Probably the best birria we've had in the Richmond area and Hampton roads. We had the margarita flight and it was very yummy and well balanced. My favorite one was the passion fruit. The carne asada nachos were very good and a huge portion. The bathrooms were clean and had awesome decor AND they even had feminine products which is a huge plus. If I had to give any critique it would be that the taco-dillas had like no cheese but didn't matter since the birria had so much flavor. I also thought the tortillas were on the thicker side. And the last thing is that they didn't have a changing table in the bathroom for my baby. The place is small but over all the staff was very friendly and we will be coming back (:”

We recently hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Richbrau and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were SO friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of all night. We rented out the whole brewery - highly recommend, it was affordable and so fun to have the whole place to ourselves. The vibe inside is fantastic, and we were lucky with great weather to be able to open the big front doors so it was a lovely indoor/outdoor situation. Kiddos loved the board and table games and watching the trains roll by from out front. The beer was great as usual and the food was delicious - we love the pizza here!!! Enjoyed the apps, too. Super easy process working with them to book and plan the event. Thank you Richbrau!”
