The food came out quickly and was excellent! We could not have had a better experience.Dietary restrictions: Huge gluten free menu!“

“Amazing food! We were visiting Williamsburg for vacation. We had Shikanji Soda, Chaat of the day - Pineapple Bhel, Palak Paneer, Dal Tadka, Garlic Naan, Papad and Mango Kulfi for dessert. Service is perfect. Atmosphere is very warm and welcoming! Definitely recommend this place for good authentic Indian panjabi food. Locals must enjoy!“

“This is a true fine-dining, cheffy restaurant. The food is outstanding, as is the attentive service. The meal is paced well and the intimate dining room with the open kitchen screams big city class. The mozzarella appetizer is unique and wonderful. The short ribs and scallops are super. And it's hard to find any spot that cooks fish better. If there's a halibut special when you're there, dive in.“

“Ordered the fajitas for two special for $24.99 to go. I couldn't believe how generous the servings were and to get beef, chicken and shrimp for this price is unbeatable. The taste and quality were outstanding. The small restaurant is located in a shopping strip and was packed. This restaurant needs to be in a space with at least 2 times its' current capacity. The staff kept me in the loop on my order status while I was waiting.“

“This food was amazing!! It was so flavorful, everything was cooked to perfection. The fish was moist and well seasoned, the macaroni was cheesy and crispy. The cornbread was moist and sweet, the hush puppies were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The service was fast, everybody was nice and welcoming. Definitely would recommend“

“There is good food, there is great food, but this is excellent food that defies any star rating. This is clearly operated by a family and the care, concern and pride of their efforts shows from start to finish. The service was incredible from the start when we were greeted and promptly sat a table. The menu is expansive and quite varied. The appetizers were outstanding and set off the start of a great dining experience. We were graced with a lamb shank and a salmon dinner which we shared a bit (but coveted our own to give away too much. And what can I say about the bread assortment. That is a meal in its own and a must order for any service. We have traveled to many places in the world and this is clearly the best Indian cuisine we have eating in decades of eating. Of a five star rating, this place deserves six.“

“Excellent food and service as always. We have never had a bad meal here, so thought it time to share. The raw oysters and the fried oyster toast were amazing. The Bibb lettuce with pickled asparagus, strawberries and goat cheese salad is 10/10. Their house burger didn't disappoint either. All the cocktails were excellent. Our server Bryan was friendly and did a great job as well, had perfect timing.“

“Was trying to do the survey on line, but it kept telling me it was down, so I'm just going to write a review. Went to Mellow Mushroom for the first time on April 12th and our server was Autumn. She was the best! She had the best personality, very knowledgeable with the menu and very attentive. We loved it so much we returned on April 14th and was very happy to have Autumn again. Thank you Autumn for making my first time a very positive experience. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back and hope to have Autumn again.“

“We loved this truly authentic Italian restaurant. I ordered the carbonara, which I am used to the "americanized" version. I was very pleasantly surprised to see it served with bucatinni! My husband ordered the NY strip dish, which had a beautiful crust and great flavor trapped inside. They have a large wine and drink menu, and available bar for those who prefer that seating. Our server was great and knowledgeable about the menu. Loved the atmosphere and vibes inside this gem. I would absolutely come back and recommend others to enjoy food here as well.“

“Excellent food, excellent service, and the atmosphere is family. The only complaint is the chaos getting in and out of the lobby. We were overlooked because people who entered after us ate and left before us. But when we were seated it was all good. We forgot about the small chaos at the check in.“

“We came to Francesco’s tonight not knowing what to expect and by the tone we walked out, we knew we’d be back! Vinny was a gracious server and made us feel extremely welcome. The handmade pastas were to die for! And my daughter really enjoyed the pizza. Whatever you do, don’t skip the excellent desserts.“

“Food was good. Service was friendly and relatively fast. Portions were adequate. I didn't leave feeling stuffed...just pleasantly full. I had the Eggs, ham and biscuit. The biscuit was the highlight of this meal. It was piping hot, flakey and flavorful. Ham was good and my poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Home fries were seasoned well. Hubby had pancakes and eggs. Pancakes were fluffy and tasty, eggs cooked well. Over all a nice solid place for breakfast.“

“Absolutely amazing!! We weren't even planning on coming in but were invited it. The customer service was absolutely amazing! Just a few minutes before my siblings were a little upset because the cupcake place we wanted to go to was closed, but the guy working there absolutely made our day! It was our first time in, and we'll definitely be back!“

“While visiting Williamsburg, Va, my husband and I initially tried going to the Colonial Pancake House. We saw a lot of people waiting outside, so we decided to go to Capitol Pancake House for breakfast. Was easy to find a parking spot close to the entrance. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by a friendly gentleman. We were also immediately sat. I ordered the catfish breakfast and my husband ordered a Grecian omelet with a side of peanut butter pancakes. The portions are big, enough to skip lunch. I have to say the catfish was cooked perfectly, probably the best tasting catfish I ever had. It was very crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was seasoned perfectly just the way I like it. I didn’t have any need to add any tartar or hot sauce. My husband said his meal was delicious. The server we had was friendly and offered additional options. The price is also good for the quality food and service. Only complaint was the large orange juice was $6. Will definitely come back again!“

“Donuts are great. You have to like big thick donuts though. Seating is sparse but not a bad thing. Cozy feel. Bathrooms are well kept. Overall solid breakfast sweets place. My only complaint is the price of a simple cup of coffee. Almost $4. A bit steep.“

“This was an absolutely brilliant cafe! Hot chocolate was a pleasant treat after a thrilling, unexpected, quite enjoyable and educational guided tour with Mr. Tom Patton from Aldrich Bed & Breakfast. The cafe offers excellent choices of sandwiches, a variety of snacks and other hot beverages that hit the spot on any cold winter day or well just any day you may have an opportunity to visit this once in a LIFETIME IN THE MAKING HISTORY… during three tour met archeologists who were actually digging for over 400+ artifacts from the original settlements of the English at Fort Jamestown! We actually witnessed the findings too! WOW! Was also blessed to witness use of new ground penetrating identification technology being used to fine areas where they should dig next! AMAZING! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND VISITING THE JAMESTOWN ISLAND!“

“Food and service were both top notch. JJ was our server and he made us feel like we were his only customers. He was friendly, quick, thoughtful, and knowledgeable of the menu. He was able to make great recommendations when we were unsure of what to order. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the special barbacoa bowl, lemon ricotta pancakes, breakfast tacos, Belgian waffle, specialty drinks, and eggs and bacon. Everything was made to perfection. Before we left we were already making plans to go back again!“
“So very nice. We had a yelp free appetizer. Everything was yummy. Was not a huge fan of the meatballs but i think it was just not my thing.we had the Ham and cheese sticks...so yummy. Olives and bread , eggplants. the Wine was amazing but I will say my first glass had half as much as the second one. I would go back for sure though. A fun night out.Next time I may shop for some Spanish wine“

“Wife insisted on driving 30 minutes from Newport News for me to eat here, so here's my review. The cashier seemed a bit nervous, might have been new, (I hold NO shame here) but rather friendly and polite. According to the receipt he was server WW416.The price seemed a bit high for a sub shop. $51.33 for a super sub + large sub + fries + chips + 2 large drinks (though I did get the fun "souvenir" cups). Added on the standard 15% To Insure Prompt Service ? which apparently means nothing now days but I digress. Now begins the wait ?? with 4 sandwiches made ahead of mine. I got my fries 21 minutes after ordering (they were good, especially since they were simple salted crinkle fries) to which an employee asked if I was still waiting for my sandwich. Wife received her sandwich (Large double Turkey and cheese) 3 minutes later and I finally received my sandwich (Super Wicked) 4 minutes after that. So a lovely 28 minutes for 2 sandwich combos... ?Bare minimum communication with the staff regarding anything aside from just placing my order. What was I expecting...not sure really, just hungry and waiting. Now for the food... ???Wife says hers was good ? I think I spoiled her with my homemade bread the past 2 weeks. Mine on the other hand... Really good! Both had a hint of sourdough aroma (REALLY hope it's supposed to!) which was a nice twist. The meat combination was amazing combined with 3 cheese ? and the special Mt Dew flavor (Vibe) OMG that's good!Overall, I'd like to enjoy another but can't seem to justify driving 30 minutes to spend $50 on 2 sub meals when I have closer options near me. Sorry, but it is just my opinion. If Which Wich was closer.... I'd still have a hard time spending $50 for 2 meals and waiting half an hour. Thanks for the meal, experience, and taste, but sadly I can only recommend to try it, not to keep coming back. And love the twist to ordering. Pick a bag, mark want you want, hand it in to order. If my little one was with us, he would love to draw on a bag and post it on their community wall. Very cool for kids way to entertain the kids while waiting.“

“Great dinner at Blue Talon. Our meal was delicious - a number of starters which was perfect after our long day. Service was fine. They did everything right. Just not the hospitality that makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Definitely order the clam chowder, truffle fries, beef tartare, and cake dessert. Skip the oysters, they didn't have much flavor, though the relish/salad they were served with were quite good. Had a nice cocktail and a lovely bubbly rose.“

“Whimsical, charming, offbeat — as if Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat got together to start up a cafe. Large selection of freshly-baked croissants, quiches, and other pastries complement a broad selection of coffee and bar beverages. Owners and staff are extremely friendly, making everyone feel like a regular. Comfy seating all around; each corner from the sunlit upstairs to the humorous restroom has plenty of character. Come for a relaxing visit.“

“Place could use some updating but the food was fresh, cooked well and didn't take long to arrive. One thing to note -I had the Thai Basil and it is listed as spicy, but the level one had zero heat. My husband had the level 2 and that had a decent but not overpowering heat.“

“Really nice interior. Service was good.Food was okay. The flavors here were nothing to call home about. Pad See Ew Beef and Pad Kapow Chicken have become my go-to dishes for comparing Thai restaurants and I have certainly had better of both dishes. I like that they used medium-width noodles here. Not a fan of the wide noodle. The flavors, however, simply were not that remarkable or complex. Pretty standard Thai fare. A high level of heat is also something I really look for in Thai food. The heat levels here seem foreboding since they max out at Thai Hot and then Crazy Hot. I ordered my Pad See Ew - Crazy Hot. It was far from Crazy Hot. More like a medium hot at best.“

“Service was impeccable! So kind, accommodating and patient with us, as it was our first visit. The woman offered to us, samples of sauces and made insightful and thoughtful suggestions based on our interests. My salad and rice bowl was perfect with roasted veggies and falafel. The sauces put it over the top! My picky son who was skeptical about coming here was pleasantly surprised with his braised lamb pita. He now believes he invented a genius concoction with his choice of sauce mash up. I'm just glad he gets it and will now encourage this choice to eat. The dining area is very modern and clean for a quick service restaurant.“

“First restaurant I went to after a trip to Europe haha and what a perfect choice! Food portions are big and food is yummy :]Their tres leches isn't very good though— it tastes and has the texture of just a normal vanilla cake, which was a bummer“
“Drinks and appetizers at the adjacent Restoration Bar. Delightful service from Marie and the bartender. Sorry didn't get her name. The charcuterie plate was delicious and I enjoyed one of their signature cocktails, Linus' Boxcar. We then were seated at a lovely table in the dining room where we enjoyed a superb steak with savory mashed potatoes and wonderful roasted root vegetables. ! We had asked to share and was delivered beautifully split and plated. Our server, Linda, was delightful attentive and welcoming. We always love the ambiance, service, food and beverages at the Williamsburg Inn.“

“Saved by an Angel This started out to be a lost cause. After driving and walking around for 35-45 minutes (mostly due to Yelp directions) we were not in a great mood when we found the tavern door. We had just rolled into town and weren't in the mood for a dog chase. Once inside we immediately thought this was not the dining establishment we had thought. Scrambled around for a drink or dinner menu for longer than seemed appropriate, but we were finally welcomed and presented with the evening's offerings. Though tempted to walk out unserved, Angel made her way over to our table, and we got a pretty dandy lager. Soon after that we had our grilled chicken masala, which was very tasty. So our long episode ended up being a rewarding treat.“

“Wonderful restaurant with authentic Spanish food. Their staffing and work distribution could improve. Our fantastic waitress was running ragged serving too many tables while 2 hostesses sat nearby scrolling on their phones for 2 hours as people waited with empty water glasses.“
