“I have been to The Islander a few times and it never disappoints. Tonight was made extra special due to the attentive and delightful service by Tyler. What an amazing server. Wonderful attitude and such a welcoming spirit. Will certainly keep recommending to my friends. Bravo!“
“Weddings at the Manor House is a mesh of classic PNW beauty and upscale garden style. The staff is very professional and organized, food is amazing! I am a local wedding planner and the Manor House is one of my favorite island wedding venues. Highly recommend !!“
“Came back to Bainbridge to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Agate was the perfect place to do so. Atmosphere was warm and relaxing. Staff was engaged and helpful with food and drink choices. Food was wonderful and desert finished it nicely.“
“Love a good fish and chips and this place did it right! HUGE piece of fish and plenty of chips to share. We also got the crab and shrimp cocktail, which was excellent. Between the two meals and three people, there was plenty of food to go around. They also have a small bottled beer and soda selection!“
“Best oysters I have ever had! Super fresh and well prepared. The food came out quick for a Friday evening, service was exceptional even though the place filled up while we were there. The Mac and cheese with crab in it was delicious as well. The salmon fish and chips were good but not our favorite of the night. Would 100% eat here again!“
“Great restaurant for fish and chips...unfortunately ahi tuna tacos were just defrosted and soggy ahi tuna pieces not as menu description of ahi tuna tartare. It is not hard to make a tartare, here is a sample of 5 min recipe.▢ 1 pound fresh tuna sushi grade▢ 1 teaspoon ginger▢ 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce▢ 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed▢ 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil▢ 1 tablespoon sesame seeds to serve▢ 1 large green onion finely sliced, to serve“
“We've been three times now. Not just every dish, but every single bite has been a revelation. Feels like a master class in balancing ingredients. Each item on the plate is delicious by itself, and then even better with the others. No two bites are alike. And my lord, the rolls. THE ROLLS. I have eaten in a thousand restaurants by now. To get me this excited about bread??“
“Ray’s has always been my go-to dinner spot in the summer for the best outdoor patio in Seattle. The food is no longer what it used to be and the service is not great. The five stars are for the patio-if you are wanting some after dinner dessert and coffee or a drink, this is the place to go during summer.“
“One of my top Seattle restaurants - space is cozy yet beautiful. So much natural light. Oysters are top tier delicious. Definitely a treat yourself place for us but ALWAYS a great time. We love everything we try here. A great place to take visiting friends and family to showcase delicious seafood and PNW fare. Highly recommend!“
“Seattle’s own “Real Fisherman’s Wharf.” Good service, great food, not fussy or pretentious. The price is reasonable and the quality is consistent. When I have guests in town, Chinook’s is always on the list of places to go. In a single word “Seattle.”“
“Delicious food with great views. My friend and I shared the Coconut Shrimp, split the Crab Cakes (4), and each had an Affogato for desert. The espresso was strong and the ice cream and cookie were excellent. Food was delicious and the view is beautiful.“
“Newish place - great ambiance! Love the bar area. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Happy Hour is a must! Cocktails were great, good wine list, and food was very tasty. Great local seafood, ingredients and flavors. Can't wait to go back!“
“They have the best burgers in town. Their FISH is to die for and the whole experience is worth it. About 15.00$ per meal but you get A LOT OF FOOD.Parking: Plenty of parking. Handicapped too.Kid-friendliness: They love it when you bring your kids in. Nice big tables.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to maneuver through out the restaurant if disabled.“
“Overall we had a good experience, but TIPPERS BEWARE! I did not like finding a 20% SERVICE CHARGE added to my bill. Below where you sign it says "additional" tip. I quickly asked the other two parties in our group if they read the bill. They hadn't. When I pointed this out, they both said "Wow! I wouldn't have caught that". All three of us sat and wondered how many other customers never read the bill and tipped twice? Both of them were about too, and NOT HAPPY about it either. We all love good food and great service, but it should be our decision on how much tip we leave, not the managements. Take notice management, None of us thought this was right, and on the edge of dishonest.“
“We've been here twice now and have been very pleased both times. The pastas are all homemade and are SO yummy. The portions are generous. We tried the green salad and the burrata starters and those were both excellent, too! Nice atmosphere, kind servers. Overall, we recommend.Parking: If you can't find a spot in front of the restaurant there is more street parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They don't have high chairs available.“
“You could tell there's a lot of love for the two dudes that run this place. In turn they put that love in the food because its always consistently good, especially the clam chowder (chock-full of clams btw). I tried the prawns last night and they were excellent too.Tip: If you're around during the fall/winter months try to make a trip to Sunfish as Alki is pretty vacant during that time.“
“This is a nice little place in west seattle. Walking in you'll always smell fish. They sell it raw as well! We finally went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Delicious. The clam chowder is a bit peppery but very hearty! We had the pick 3 seafood basket as well as the cod fish and chips. Piping hot. Loved it all.“
“Went on a Sunday night to their bar area while waiting for my reservation for Walrus and Carpenter. They give you free chips while you sip on your drink.Drinks were really good and the spot was so nice. Felt spacious especially with the wide bar area.If you are waiting for your walrus and carpenter reservation definitely stop here. They will also let you know when your table is ready and can bring your drink to the restaurant once your reservation is ready so you never need to rush. Not that the drink menu here is different from Walrus and Carpenter.“
“First timer here and probably won't be last. It was easy to order as you just walk up to the counter and place your order there. Had the special and prawns and chips! Prawns were amazing! Love the crispiness on both fish and prawns. This place was packed when we came in and people just kept coming in! They also have upstairs sitting if downstairs is full. You can also have it to go and eat it by the beach (saw many people did this). Great service too! Ordered the food with sprite and somehow the sprite did not taste like sprite. They almost immediately fix the issue and replaced the drink. Great food, great service, more affordable than other places!“
“Seattle has the best fish n chips in the country IMO, and breezy Little Chinook’s is among the tops in the city. Can’t go wrong with the true cod and the halibut, but my differentiated favorites are the fried clams (tender and crisp, not chewy) and the salmon taco (lightly blackened with salsa and a creamy slaw). Note that they finish the clams with a sprinkle of salt, so you may want them to hold that depending on your salt preference. They have limited afternoon-only hours; and if they’re closed, big brother Chinook’s next door has you covered, albeit at a higher price point.“
“My wife and I tried this place for the first time about a month ago and it was deliciously amazing. We started with a cup of delicious clam chowder. My wife had the pineapple teriyaki chicken and she liked it very much. I had the delicious grilled teriyaki salmon dinner with steamed power greens, rice, and egg roll. Perfectly portioned and fair prices. Friendly atmosphere. Much more menu options to explore and we will be back. This place is more than just fish & chips.“
“Decent food, atmosphere, etc. The real star here is the service; it's always good, unreasonably good (not a complaint). They're quick, attentive, pleasant, and overall just nice to deal with. No idea why or how, but I'd hire their entire team for a higher end spot.Good place to stop after a fishing trip, or boat work at the nearby marinas.“
“Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A very nice looking, relatively small room. Cocktails are nice, kinda stiff (I will admit I'm kind of a light weight). My favorite dish of the night was the Heritage Grilled Pork, actually a selection of pork cuts and a sausage with carrots and beans. It's kind of a pricey place, so we won't be back every week, but we will look for an appropriate occasion. They add 20% to the bill for service. Given the quality of service, we had no qualms about that.“
“I placed a to go order from here. We ordered the sampler, chicken/beef teriyaki meal and pancit. The service was good. The food was ready when I arrived to pick it up and the girl working at the front counter was friendly. The food was good as well. I would eat here again in the future when I'm in the area.“
“Have had a few amazing nights going to this restaurant the food is delicious the staff is very nice sometimes it takes them a bit to awnser the phone but its very worth it if you havent tried their food do it!! My favorite dish they have is the chicken and mushroom teriyaki its almost like a soup, and when you put it in rice, it is a meal sent from the gods ? keep up the amazing work you do!“
“I highly recommend Mondello Italian Restaurant. The food is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time. Again, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to Sofana! The Lasagna was excellent as fettuccine. Caesar salad was perfect. Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our time.“
“There's a beautiful mural on the outside of the building. The company owns commercial fishing ships that fish the waters of Alaska for much of the year. Fish payload is offloaded in Alaska and the ships do not return until winter. This allows the docks to also be used for loading passengers on cruise ships. Otherwise, the area is not open to the public.“
“I order here 1 to 4 times a week. I generally just get a 2 large bowls of soup broccoli cheddar and I can't get enough of it! Since we're eating there sometimes, my family tries out different sandwiches, and they really enjoy them. The gentleman that works there has come to know us so well that he knows 2 soups when my hunny walks through the door. I like that type of relationship with a business. That is very important. And it makes me want to return.“
“Dude, this spot was totally gnarly! Super chill vibes, not crowded, just how we like it. The grub was epic! We drove like, three hours from Portland, but it was totally worth it for the food. The music was totes laid back, and the whole vibe was just chill, yk? We chowed down on some killer calamari, salmon chowder, and cod fish and chips, and lemme tell ya, it was primo stuff! Like, seriously, freshest seafood I've had in ages, and it came out in a flash. Stoked we found this place and I def recommend!!“
“Still my favorite place in Kitsap after all these years. You can sit in a cozy timber beam fishing shack atmosphere surrounded by windows with that view under the bridge and fish tanks galore or sit outside on the deck in the summer with the breeze or maybe pull up in your boat like we have so many times. Fish tacos on point. Wasabi sauce is fantastic. There is still a need for warm starter bread with whipped butter. I promise it will be good to compete. Some of the Valentines day drinks are just odd. Sorry. Recently, nobody answered the phone, and it went to a full vm box. This neglect caused us to show up hoping we could be seated as a large party and having to wait when we wouldn't have had to. Please add back sweet potato fries and loaded baked potatoes. Bring back the blackberry salmon. It can definitely be better with a few tweaks, attention to detail and a menu update. Please advise staff to stop repeatedly asking how everything is in an excessive manner. 2x or maybe 3x is understandable, 6+ times is hard when your mouth is full, and you just answered the same question 5 minutes ago. The burgers are great. Can you guys add a lobster roll? Nobody else has one around kitsap that I know of. Keep me out of King and Peirce! Haha!“
“We would recommend 'The Clearwater' for a nice dining experience. Tables are limited so reservations should be made as soon as possible! We were a party of four. Everyone enjoyed their meals & would recommend their selections as well as order them again: Jidori Chicken Oscar, 14oz Bone-in Pork Chop, Shrimp & Scallop Gnocchi, Diver Sea Scallops. The Clearwater Signature Salad with champagne pear vinaigrette was so tasty. The Caesar salad romaine was served cold, crisp and fresh. Lemon 'slices', more suited for a cocktail, was served with the salad. Slices made it tough to squeeze lemon juice on the salad. Pork Belly Brussels Sprouts were nice and crispy roasted. Pork Belly pieces were nice in sized but lacked pork meat. This dish was a bit salty. The Clearwater Cabernet Sauvignon, produced by Rutherford Wine Company in California, was a great value at $24 a bottle! Also recommend the Clearwater Reserve IPA. Jody, our server, has a talent for anticipating the needs of the table. She was knowledgeable about the menu items including wine and beer selections. Pleasant and engaging. We appreciated the attention she paid to our table.“
“One of my favorite places to take folks. The view is stunning, the food is delicious from the lobster thermadore to the crab cakes and sushi. We haven’t had a single bad meal.Dietary restrictions: Options and adjustments made for allergies and recommendations given for which items would be best to adapt“
“We had an enjoyable lunch, fish & chips, chowder and burgers. The service was great too!!!!Parking: Parking is free in the garage under the building, there are marked spots for each of the business. We had no problem on a Saturday afternoon but I could seeit being harder for dinner.“
“Enjoyed fish tacos here for dinner. The tacos were as expected, not amazing but not disappointing either. The honey brown cake I had for dessert was incredible! Perfectly buttery, slightly crisp on the outside, sticky warm sweetness on the inside- the flavor reminds me of madeleine cookies, but way better! I usually prefer chocolate desserts, but I’m glad I made an exception to have this.Server was attentive and friendly.“
“A hidden gem in the heart of downtown Port Orchard. Inside the Port Orchard public market. Started with a Blackberry cider which was served at just the right temperature. For an appetizer - house prepared French Onion soup. Hot, flavorful and the optimal cheese to soup ratio. The main course, which was shared, consisted of 12 lightly battered shrimp and Dock fries. We added a side of cole slaw to complete our meal. Good crunch and not too sweet. The establishment was not crowded, but I'm certain that on the weekends seating might be hard to come by. Next time, I'm leaving room for dessert“
“Best Fish & Chips in Seattle! Great location at a marina, looking out over hundreds of beautiful boats no one can afford. Place was a bit crowded, it was a beautiful sunny 70 degree day in March so everyone was eating on the porch. Service was friendly but it was SLOW! Some nice drink combinations.“
“Let's start with the positives: Delicious food with an intimate, charming old-world vibe close to the water in West Seattle. Tasty vegetarian options (including penne with eggplant and saffron gnocchi). Very fresh greens for the salad, which was perfectly dressed. It could be an excellent date-night choice. However, the service/wait staff could have been more polished in a few instances, but I have seen an overall decline in service throughout the industry (I worked in it; these days, it's tough to recruit people, and the turnover is high, so I get it). I was happy to be able to make a reservation, but you have to provide a $50 deposit (which is credited toward your bill). My guest arrived early, but I was less than 10 minutes late; however, they would only agree to seat him when I arrived. I felt bad about that since it was his birthday. Finer/better restaurants should make you feel welcome and special. This one fell short, but the food was so tasty that maybe this could be overlooked. I'm on the fence about returning to bring out-of-town guests, though.“
“New ownership and it's fantastic! Went in March 2024 and again in April. Had the Cioppino both times. Very consistent, very flavorful, and very fresh! Packed full of seafood without a hint of fishiness and was actually enough food to fill up a grown man. My wife enjoyed her burger and said that the fries were the best she's had, very crispy.“
“Highly recommend this place for a a romantic date night or holiday meal. Just go after the crowd. A lovely view from the side room. I think the main dining room would be better. Our server was very nice and informative. We would definitely go again. Food was great, but not excellent.“
“Seabird had incredible food and cocktails. It as so fun to take my Pescatarian sister to a restaurant where she could eat everything on the menu! The menu changes with the seasons, but favorites included the 50 carrot mezcal cocktail, a flight of oysters, the ceviche, and rockfish. I was impressed with the balance of flavors in the drinks and dishes. Also noteworthy was the play with texture in the meals. Our bill included two cocktails, two mocktails, three oysters, a salad, ceviche, two fish entrees, an espresso, and a dessert. I was floored that the bill came to just $100/person for two people before tip. What excellent pricing for such a wonderful fine dining experience. Highly recommended! Will go again!“
