“The super friendly staff here makes this location! The woman that put my order together has been at Qdoba for years - I just put myself in her hands and she put together a great taco salad for me. The manager is extremely kind, and I could tell she sets the tone for her branch. If you need a quick, super casual meal - this location is a solid choice.“
“As a Californian I’m usually quite picky about Mexican food. However Carmelo’s passed the test for having fantastic high quality food that tasted authentic and delicious. I ordered from them several times while in Seattle (chicken burrito/ chicken quesadilla were best) and loved it every time! Highly recommend it to all Seattle visitors!“
“Deli! No había encontrado taco fish tipo baja con un sabor tan auténtico en el área. Definitely recommend, they’re very good tacos, bigger than usual in a great way. The red salsa is sooo good! Will definitely come back. Friendly staff, cute spot, great tacos what else do you need?“
“These tamales are absolutely fabulous. We bought a whole slew of them for friends and family for Christmas. They made the perfect gift and everybody raved about them. The only thing I will say, is they say they take about an hour to cook but we found longer than that with a pretty intense steam, was what it needed to get the masa dough cooked all the way through. we love the jalapeño and cheese the best but really, you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. The staff is kind and pick up and ordering is pretty simple if you read all the directions. Don’t miss out on those awesome salsas!!“
“One of the best Mexican restaurants in Seattle is now open for brunch on the weekends and it’s fabulous! They have a mimosa cart with four juices and a party cart with hot chocolate! They have cafe de olla! They have two kinds of chilaquiles! As we have come to expect from D’ Ma Santa, the food is absolutely incredible and the service is wonderful. This restaurant is an absolute gem. We will be back soon to try more on the menu.“
“Bigger than expected on the inside! The staff were really nice and I really liked their salsa bar as well as eclectic array of hot sauces I've never seen before anywhere else. The food was really good too. We got the carnitas tacos quezzabirria, and chicharon tacos. Favorite bite was probably the Birria, how could you go wrong with a deep fried taco? I really enjoyed the tortillas they are using which appear to be hand made. The softest ones I've had in Seattle.“
“This place is one of my top 2 favorite Mexican restaurants in Seattle. Lots of items on the menu, I experienced exceptional service, full bar with specialty cocktails. I highly recommend happy hour foods and beverages. It has some outdoor seating for the lucky few on a warm day in Seattle. The place was packed, a hip, cool place to go on Capitol Hill that has I think excellent authentic Mexican food.Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegetarian options. There was no problem getting the chicken on the side for the nachos for my friend who eats meat.“
“This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service is incredible, always so friendly, giving out samples and giving out information about the foods. This place is authentic with food made with ingredients strait from Oaxaca. The ambiance is beautiful. It is very colorful and decorative. It’s right next to the original Starbucks so it is very busy. Their tacos and tamales are my favorite. I will say the food can feel a little heavy. This place is definitely worth a try to at least go once.“
“Had lunch here today with my cousin while I'm in town for a convention. We grew up in Texas so have expectations when trying a new Mexican restaurant and this exceeded them. Started out with an amuse bouche which I'd never had before at a Mexican restaurant. It was a small tortilla topped with beans, a delicious sauce, and two other things I don't quite remember but was so good! We ordered the guacamole with salsa and chips to start. I'm not a big salsa eater but I loved the guacamole, both for flavor and texture. My cousin ordered the carne asada which she let me taste and it was delicious, with very tender meat. I had chicken flautas, which had great texture and flavor. There were also several tvs, so I got to see some of Champions League, which I hadn't expected while traveling.“
“Food is good. Online ordering/payment system is NOT GOOD. Here’s why:-It says 5-10 minutes for pickup but then when you go to check out the earliest time you can choose is 25-30 min-You have to sign up for a “Joe” account-The default payment option is to hook up a bank account…who does this to pay for a sandwich?-The tip selection is BROKEN! I entered 2.00 for the tip. Good think I double-checked because the webpage entered $52!!! It might have taken 200% instead of $2.Anyway, this online ordering system really made me frustrated and took away from the food experience. The sandwiches and burritos are great though.“
“I met up with a couple of girlfriends for some lunch on a Saturday afternoon. At 1:00pm there was a short wait, but you can walk around neighborhood while you wait and they will text you when table is ready. They said there was a 20 minute wait, turned out to be only 10 minutes. Our Server was legit! She knew about every item on the menu in detail, and even explained why certain items went better in some dishes than others. For example shredded chicken vs chunks of chicken. Anyhow I had a hibiscus iced tea. Dang, it was so delicious, lightly sweetened with a small amount of agave syrup. My friend had the bowl, wow it looked so good!! She said it was amazing! I had a fish Taco that was so good. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 10. They serve in-house made fresh corn tortillas!! The fish can be breaded with Panko or just grilled. I choose the Panko at my server’s suggestion. You can order 1-3 tacos for a set price and I guess add more if you want. She offered a small side of lime cilantro rice with black beans to accompany my Taco! I am happy that I did because it was the perfect amount of food.I absolutely loved every bite of everything I ordered and some of my friends food too! I can’t wait to go back and try more stuff that sounded so good. On that note my only complaint would be trying to decide what to eat, when every item on the menu sounded so good. It was truly difficult picking just one dish!! Did I mention our server was an absolute treat! I wish that I could recall her name. Every step of the way she was there when we needed her and super knowledgeable on everything on menu, super helpful, cheerful and our service was impeccable!!Did I mention that I cant wait to go back ASAP and eat my way through the menu?? Dang, just writing about it is making me hungry ?I better go eat something. Hope this review helps! I am very sincere in all that I wrote and I swear I am not being paid to write about this little gem of a Restaurant, with amazing food!“
“Stopped by as I was craving food and it seems like a great place to grab a bite.Parking is tricky as one must park in the street and pay.Food: limited selection of items. This is not your typical mom-pa place with so many choices. I got a torta that came with steak, potatoes and chorizo. I also orders the chips and salsa . Chips and salsa were fine. Torta was different from a traditional Mexican torta.I also order a chicken adobo taco. It was alright.Overall, a nice place to eat by FAR from being “authentic Mexican” food.Bonus: they have Jarritos, squirt , and other Mexican pop“
“April 13, 2024 update: still delicious, and even busier on sunny weekends! So take it to go (& grab a picnic table) if you don't want to wait! I had the Rockfish Tacos. If you order a side of guacamole, trust me when i say you'll want a full size order. ??The most casual and delicious seafood & taco joint at the udub! Been there for decades, always a friendly staff. A lot of locals head there for dinner. I'd be there a few times a week if I lived close by!“
“We went to El Cabrito on Friday night, totally on a whim. This little gem in Burien has delicious tacos (carnitas and asada)! The person who took our order and served us was so friendly and welcoming. The food was so good that we ended up ordering a second order of tacos (carnitas and chicken mole). I highly recommend you check out this great place. My only regret is that we didn't discover this place sooner so we could have had more than one meal before heading back to Canada!“
“This place is a gem! Incredible authentic Oaxacan food served and made by kind folks. Unlike most restaurants I've found around Seattle, they're not afraid to serve things spicy and that makes all the difference. Everything tastes fresh and the prices are unmatched for being in the city.“
“So delicious and affordable, especially if you need a little snack! My new fav taco joint. The tacos are loaded up too, so you only need a few to fill up. Highly recommend the lengua and beef cheek. The beef cheek especially is so rich and fatty. Horchata is a nice counterpart. Can't wait to come back and try their margaritas.Parking: Parking lot in strip mall.“
“My lovely wife and I have had the zeal of investing with Mr Aaron Soriano also analysing our investment is secure & safe. Aaron Soriano professionalism, Hard-works, understanding and compassion towards everything had us feeling like he was part of the family. He has an infectious bubbly personality that you just can't help but open up to him.“
“The food is amazing, that should be enough. But the people are super kind as well!! Great spot, their birria is THE BESTDietary restrictions: I don’t do dairy and they’re always kind enough to make sure there’s no cheese / cream on my stuff.“
“I only eat Mexican food once in a while but my friend, Nestor, changed my mind. He ordered to go food from this restaurant and the fish taco with pickle apple and carne asada blown my mind. I want to return and try more food next time. The food is gone before I can take a picture. ? I like their sauces too.“
“Enjoyed Maiz a few times and every time the service is super friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious! The mains are fantastic, with great flavors and technique. So far tried the Borrego Tatemado lamb (AMAZING), Molino's Asada (delicious and filling), Chile au jus Costilla (another great dish) and Gorditas de Cameron (good but not my fav).Drinks and beers are great as well. I just wish they were open every night the Kraken play! ?“
“Across the PNW food trucks are a staple. However El Pirata has got it down to a science. Hands down the best torta I've had in years. I had the La Bamba carne asada torta. Between the rosemary aioli and the picked red onion it's an explosion of flavor.I won't deny it I came back that same night for dinner it was that good. The house Potatoes served in the side are perfectly cooked and smothered in the same aioli. Thanks for everything I will be back time and time again. Yall keep it up!!!Justin Neeb“
“Ordered the #1 quesa-birria tacos and was very satisfied! The tacos themselves had a little less flavor than I was expecting, but they ended up being perfect when combined with the consume and salsa. Also, special shoutout to the person at the register whose name I forgot to catch: I ordered the strawberry-hibiscus Agua Fresca, but wasn't in the mood for something too sweet, so they let me taste it before ordering. I ended up diluting it with extra ice to the level of sweetness I could handle and it turned out great. I appreciated their patience while I figured out what I wanted!“
“Good prices and great food. I flew in from Chicago the other day and the first place we went to grab food right after the flight was here. I was hangry and this cured that so fast! I ate 3 tamales at the resturant and took a few to go. The tamales are very well portioned, eating 3 was a lot but was good for me. The cashier was super sweet and we enjoyed talking to him as we were ordering and during our meal. Authentic Mexican food with great vegan tamale options!! P.s. the menu I saw online didn't have all the vegan tamales listed, so if you're ordering through the phone make sure to ask about all the options.“
“It's dangerous how close we live to the Burrito Express. We have to stop ourselves from spending all our money there. The food is consistently delicious. The salsa they serve with the burritos is addicting. Service is very warm and friendly. Never had a bad interaction. Price is hard to beat. If you have the time and are in the area, go! In fact, go if you're not in the area“
“Excellent Mexican meal that was spot on Mexican, with an excellent mezcal, in a relaxed environment.I had the Comalito and my friend the Puerco. Both were amazing. What I thought was a hard to find mezcal showed up and we sipped that.Hard to find authentic Mexican food in the Seattle where you can sit down on a cool afternoon. The trucks are great, but a restaurant is also needed.By the way, they have mezcal flights!“
“I went here for lunch with a friend and it has such a lovely, refreshing, peaceful environment. It was my second time eating here and I was so excited to come back. It’s colorful with great service. The person who served my friend and I was so personable and sweet. The vegetarian bowl with potatoes and vegetables was so fresh, filling, and delicious. I had some yummy leftovers after. I look forward to eating here again! Muchas Gracias“
“My wife and I finally stopped in after months of having it saved in our Google Maps. It did not disappoint! We were in the mood for sopes and each one (the meal comes with three) was delicious. It is such a great family-run business. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try different things from the menu!“
“Pancita was sooo good! One of the better meals I have had recently. We got the tuna tostada, brisket suadero tacos, and the half chicken and mole. All the flavors were incredible, and I loved the ambience of the restaurant. Excited to come back!“
“Was a wonderful time. Had dinner here with my love and we just had such an amazing time. The service was wonderful and the Owner and workers were so accommodating and friendly we felt like we just went to a family members house for dinner!!! The atmosphere was so nice and romantic at the same time! Definitely will be coming back.“
“This is a great place considering the price and portion sizes. The portion sizes here are pretty large. The food tastes pretty good but isn't really outstanding. They have a spacious inside seating with a few small TV's on the walls, I think in the summer they also open their outside patio.“
“We would 100% recommend this place . We finally agreed this would be a must for us . We congratulate Adrian and his crew of people who have made this place outstanding . We look forward to many more times at this very fine restaurant . The food is delicious and the presentation ; top notch . Can’t ask for more than that and making resies for our next week .“
“When it comes to Mexican food in Seattle there are a many upscale fusion restaurants, but it can be hard to find a decent taco that gives you that home made feeling. The food here is great. I would highly recommend the baby burrito and any of the tacos. My friends also really enjoy the quesadillas. Both of there homemade salsa are great just beware the red is hot! They also offer a small selection of Mexican sodas and canned beers.Vegetarian options: Many of their dishes can be ordered without mean or with a substitute.Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate any dietary restrictions.Parking: You’re parking just off of Dexter Ave in west Seattle. It can be difficult depending on the time of the day. You may also have to pay depending on the hours.Kid-friendliness: Everyone I’ve gone in there are families with small children hanging out! It looks like a fun place to bring them in.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is located on the first floor and is wheelchair accessible.“
“An unforgettable dining experience at this restaurant! Madison, our waitress, was exceptional—friendly, professional, and ensured our experience was perfect. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was spectacular. Can't wait to return“
“I am from Central Texas therefore, I have very high expectations. I ordered the three taco plate (asada) with rice & beans. The refried beans are amazing! Some of the best I have ever had!!!!! The tacos with grilled onions are A M A Z I N G!!!!! The salsa is 110% made fresh and it is hot! Highly recommend“
“very reasonably priced tacos! current price is only $4 each and they are larger than street size tacos. staff was very nice and our food was ready right when they said it would be, only a 20 minute wait for 6 tacos. they did go a little heavy on the onion but that's just personal preference“
“The reviews for this place are beyond belief. You already know from my score that I am not in complete agreement, but here is another honest, unfiltered review. I'll start by saying the service could not have been any friendlier. I can also tell you that the prices are also reasonable. I had a single taco and flautas plate. The food was good, better than you would expect and certainly better than 99% of trucks and fast-food places out there, but it was a but short on flavor. In my opinion, everything needed salt and that was not just the food, but the hot sauces as well. If you don't season your food, I have to rely on the sauce for that extra kick and the sauces did not deliver. In addition, as advised, I had the flautas plate and the picture showed a side of guacamole, I didn't get guac, I got sour cream, so I don't know if that was a mistake or if they have changed how the dish is served, but trust me when I tell you, I expected guac and declined to say anything because I didn't want customers to overhear my concern. In the end, the food was good, but far from life changing and since it took 20 minutes to get here, it's unlikely I'll be returning any time soon. I'm really tired of ethnic places watering down recipes! When you say your recipes are generational, but they lack salt or heat, I can't trust you. I'm in the 3.5 range, but again, since everyone was really nice, I'll bump it up to 4, but even that is generous based on my meal not resembling the advertised image for it. These are hardworking people, but unfortunately, they did not bring their A game on my visit.“
“My husband got The Parrillada de Mariscos and it was amazing. I kept asking for another bite...the fish especially. Fajitas Mar y Tierra was also delicious. I ate the whole thing. Love the variety. Our kids shared the nachos and calamari. Now I would have been happy just eating this as well. The chips were addicting even by itself and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back! If only we didn't live in Lynnwood.“
“Spicy Mexican Mocha is my go-to 100% of the time! It comes with chocolate and chili powder, what's not to love?!The place is welcoming, clean and so many items to choose from. The baristas have incredible skills, customer service and really great vibes. If you're in the area it's worth giving them a try! Who needs Starbucks when you have shops like this around. 10/10 will always go whenever I'm in the city.“
“Im pretty sure this is taco chukis OG location. I love the "hole in the wall" vibe. They make it easy to order and get food here, and the self service water is nice. I can't say there is one particular taco I like more than the others, and at the size - you can try them all if you're on an empty stomach. This is a great spot for a casual lunch date, a meal with friends, or a quick bite between your weekend chores.“
“If the ladies here have a million fans, I am one of them. If they have one fan, it is me. If they have zero fans, I am dead. I’m moving out of the hill soon and will miss this place so much! I even brought my family from Texas here as one of my must try’s. Everything is so good and they’re always so patient with us. Amazing!“
“My lovely wife and I have had the zeal of investing with Mr Aaron Soriano also analysing our investment is secure & safe. Aaron Soriano professionalism, Hard-works, understanding and compassion towards everything had us feeling like he was part of the family. He has an infectious bubbly personality that you just can't help but open up to him.“
“It’s hard finding good Mexican food in Washington. Lengua and cabeza tacos were great. Chicken quesadilla was moist and tasty. Love how this place doesn’t skimp on the meat. Will be back to try the other meats.Order at the storefront counter. (Hibiscus petals sold here).“
“Pretty decent taco spot with some nice and spicy salsas, 3 burritos, a candy, and 5 tacos ran me about 45 dollars. Extra points for staying open till 8pm on Sat compared to the other tavonstands that closed at 7pm.Kid-friendliness: Plain tacos were so good my kid wanted more.“
“I moved to Seattle almost 3 years ago from Southern California and had given up all hope of finding good authentic, well seasoned, hearty, delicious Mexican food; Instead living in a wasteland of sadness, disappointment and Chipotle. Then I found Taqueria Los Potrillos #6 and the heavens opened up straight to my soul through my belly and joy was restored to my life. Everybody get in here, this place rocks. 11/10.“
“Finally, I tried this chain at the Bellevue square mall. The food is good, enchiladas came out hot and great! Tacos were a touch cold, and they may have been waiting for the enchilada plate. The layout is awkward with the entry only indicated by the merchandise for sale. The signage blends in with the wall art. Many people attempted to enter the kitchen when looking for the restroom.“
“En julio venimos y nos gusto la comida. Así que hoy regresamos con algunos amigos -desde Salem Oregon - y a todos les gusto mucho la comida, tiene muy buen sabor. El lugar está muy limpio, el joven que nos atendió fue muy amigable y cortez. Es bueno encontrar un restaurante con verdadero sabor mexicano. !!!“
“The service is amazing. U feel important when u go there.and the food is delicious. I'm vegan and they hv a vegetarian menu and will adjust to ur liking. No wheelchair seating. No wheelchair door.Vegetarian options: Alot of options. They hv beans with no lard.Dietary restrictions: No msgParking: It's good.i park in front. Good 4 handicap parking.“
“One of the best taco places I've found in Kirkland and on the eastside in general! Their adobada and carne asada meat are tender and not too salty, which is a problem I've run into with other taco places (dry or way too salty). I love their self-service sauce bar where you can load up on your favorite condiments. Their sauces are all pretty good! Also their churros are delicious and addicting...they have this filling inside of them that is really good and come with a whip cream-like sauce on the side. I'll be coming here to get my taco fix from now on!“
“The food was delish. Had the sausage and bacon omelet. Very large portion. Wait staff very very attentive, this explains why the establishment was busy. Only complaint instead of the watermelon slice, I wanted the whole watermelon. Did not disappoint.“
“This place is a gym in every possible way. The location is great at Mercer village, the food is amazing: : recent dish I had was bacon wrapped prawns and a very spicy chicken dish with the usual rice and beans. They always have treated my mom and I well there. They are very nice people, people of the island flocked to this place with their babies and kids and parents. There are sports televisions all around, so it's festive, not that quiet.Vegetarian options: Lots“
